My family and I love living here! I stopped in the office today and Diana was there to greet me and answer my questions. She is always so friendly and goes out of her way to help and I really appreciate her. Mona is great too! Maintenance is always on top of our requests and gets everything done in a timely manner. We wish the gate worked more often but other than that it’s a great place to call home.

Ive lived on property for years. My issue was a maintenance problem. Jose responded quickly and got the job done with a smile as always. Luv my Welleby family!

Was on a time crunch to find an apartment. Found welleby lake club apartments, and scheduled a tour. Mona was the representative from the office that I began working with to start my leasing process. I was not the easiest tenant prospect to deal with but Mona was always professional and accommodating. Dealing with Mona has me feeling very positive about moving into my apartment.

I really like the atmosphere this place- clean, quiet, and close to many great places. I’d recommend to anyone in search of a home.

We got there and we couldnt tour the place because the ID scanner didnt work. The front desk assistant was kinda nice about the situation, but pretty much told us that we would have to leave.

This review is for maintenance because front office still needs a little more customer service training. However the people in maintenance especially Denis has been delightful and diligent in all apartment needs. Not sure why Denis is not maintenance manager but he should be, from my experience he is extremely knowledgeable in all concerns and problems we’ve had in our apartment. I’m really grateful to live in a community where the maintenance people actually know what they are doing And are quick to respond and always follows up!

The onboarding process was very smooth and straightforward. An area of improvement would be to allow/support additional recreational activities on-premise like kayaking or canoeing since there is a lake and a canal closeby. Furthermore, promoting community-based activities would allow knowing who is in the neighbourhood. Thanks, Pukar.

The best thing about welleby lake club apartments hands down is Diana. She is the only one who seems to work always with a smile. The place is not bad just severely overpriced.

I just moved in a month ago and everything went smoothly because I constantly reached out to the office to get information and confirm things. I would of appreciated more effort on their side to confirm things and communicate. Great apartment, perfect size and lovely location. My dog LOVES it because there are a lot of squirrels and iguanas to stare at LOL.

It looks nice from the outside....The gates don’t work and my vehicle was burglarized. All my wheels were taken and the vehicle was left on bricks. The total cost was $3,217 and this all occurred while I was visiting a friend. Needless to say I obviously won’t be reimbursed for my situation. The funny part is there a Police officers that live there. So much for safety and security. I recommend looking for a place with a gate that works to keep out vandals. This is a cautionary tale don’t take a chance.Update: The situation was not resolved and the gate will stay open indefinitely. Thankfully there are plenty of other places to live. I recommend you do your research and live somewhere that is safe. If they won’t fix the main gate that same service applies to your apartment. The residents of Welleby Lake Club deserve better and so do you.

The apartments have mildew and they kept saying leave your window open and that doesnt work this do not worth 1650 plus water, trash etc .

My transition into my new apartment was smooth with the help of all the staff here at Welleby Lake Club! I appreciated being able to view an apartment during this pandemic and I felt that they took al necessary health precautions to ensure my family was safe during this process. My apartment was clean and move in ready as expected!

Not a bad place, need some upgrades, but the most important is to make changes at the office staff, need a better customer service and be more respectful with their neighbors.

I have lived in welleby Lake Club for almost 5 years lead maintenance guy Dennis has always been very professional and responsive he is one of the only people I will let in my home when I am not there. He recently had a new AC unit installed and it was done very professionally as always he leaves the apartment exactly as he found it I never have to chase him down if he says hes going to be there he is always there he sends me pictures of the work thats being done so that I can have peace of mind he always goes that extra mile for his residence and I greatly appreciate that I would highly recommend Dennis for any job you need done

Mona was nice initially but I saw right through her as soon as I had an issue with my license. She is very condescending and Diana, the one with the 80’s haircut, was just harsh in response to my concern. I’m glad things went left, the apartments are not worth the rent amount. So thank you for prompting me to renew my license, my appointment is Thursday :)

I have lived at Welleby for 7 years, so it’s safe to say I’m an expert here. I have been waiting over 4 weeks for a simple maintenance request to be completed. I have left voicemails, sent service requests and actually spoken to maintenance several times, and still nothing. I pay my rent on time and this is how they treat their loyal residents. I would not suggest renting here. It’s over priced and run down. And if you want your carpet changed after 7 yrs they expect you to pay $800. Look elsewhere...

The leasing application was fast it took one week. The problem is the “security” gate is open 90% of the time. The gate is only closed a couple days after a break in or vandalism. I have had multiple problems with maintenance. I’ve waited over two weeks for basic problems to be fixed. I never had a problem with noise or neighbors in my time being there.

I am happy living this community. Staff are personable and ready to help you. Ms. Mona the assistant director is very knowledgeable about community. She attempt to make community pleasant for tenants.The only thing is that I wish the Welleby informs tenant of their amount of monthly rent and its due date by email.The amount that Welleby App shows is not include a due date of payment.Thanks

The staff here are amazing and have gone above and beyond to help me when I moved from NY to Florida. The complex is beautiful and well maintained and my apartment is large with a beautiful view of the lake.

I am sitting and writing this review and Im shaking. My husband and I have been here for a little more than two years. Our unit is on the lake with a decent view so I was satisfied with the property in the beginning. Last year we decided it was time to try and buy a house. We were told that even if we were buying a house; if the lease was broken, we would have to pay a penalty. So renter be ware!! IF YOU INTEND ON BUYING A HOME, EQUITY RESIDENTIAL ONLY CARES ABOUT THEIR BOTTOM LINE. They could care less about you trying to better the living situation for you and your family.Oh but it gets better. Today, my husband received a phone call from the leasing office informing him that the storage unit that WEVE HAD SINCE WE MOVED IN was emptied of all its contents and rented to someone else!!!! Thousands of dollars of personal belongings gone. I wont get into details because the police are involved and we plan to sue.Need-less-to-say, I cannot wait to leave this place.

The AC seems to be cooling however it constantly runs. Once it reaches the thermostat temp setting it doesnt shut off. I dont understand why it doesnt stop. My bill is rising due to this problem.

Good place to live but the rent has gone up way too much in the past 3 years. If you can afford it, its great but its gone from just under $1100 to over $1500. The community is quiet, safe and the maintenance and property managers truly care.If you have the money to live here its a great place to live and ive been very happy overall.

The staff is very professional, knowledgeable, curtious and understanding. The maintenance staff keeps the areas clean and are quick with service calls.

Great experience with Welleby Lake Club. everyone in the office is quick to response to your questions and willing to go the extra mile to assist you with any issue. Welleby Lake Club is certainly not the place to call home my family and I experienced rats infestation for months in our apartment we made several complaints about the issue they came and done nothing to cleanup. It got so bad we ask to transfer to other unit and was told we couldnt unless it another sister company off property. We lost food, clothes and some of our stuff got chewed on. We decided since theyre not going to listen to us the City of Sunrise building code did. Thats when they decided to clean up and replace the stove were the rats did there droppings. With so many more to say this is certainly not the place to called home to add: the rent is overpriced a majority of people who moved in move out within couple of months.Mona the leasing Director called us daily to rent the apartment at Welleby Lakes Club after the lease agreement signed. She treated my family as if we didnt belong there made us feel unwelcome each time we had to visited the leasing office. This lady is despicable!!!

Although I have very little in the condominium it has been a pleasant experience its very attentive and helpful staff ... The condominium is very careful in its facilities I hope to continue like this and my stay in the be special and pleasant as I hope.

I was lied to when moving, I was told I was receiving a renovated unit by Moana, my appliances, AC unit, and bathrooms havent been upgraded since the 90s. Rusty bath tubs, water rotted AC closet etc. My water bill since living here has been well over 150$ a month for the last 13 months, when I complain they say they will talk to maintenance, and when I complain to maintenance they shrug. Since March dog has developed a flea problem, in talking to maintenance I was told they no longer spray around the buildings. Two months before my lease was up I was informed my rent would go up 100$, when ironically they have it listed for cheaper online. Three cars had all 4 tires and rims stolen recently and the property towed one of them, without the wheels, I watched them do it. Do not believe any 5 star reviews you read, this place only wants your money once they have it they will only repair what they have to and never replace appliances unless they have to. The fact that they call these luxury units is a joke.

I am current resident here for a year now. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that I have a very nice view of the lake behind me. I moved here on short notice and didnt have much time to really shop around for a place and wanted to be close to a school for my kids. Sense moving here the front gate rarely works. From other comments Ive read it hasnt worked properly sense 2014 and this is 2019. There were a series of vandalism done to vehicles over night taking all the rims and tires off the car. The appliances are outdated, oven, refrigerator and I have had multiple problems with my dishwasher and garbage disposal not working properly. My ac unit is 30 years old (inside and out). Maintenance told us that we should be receiving a new unit...all they did was replace the guts. There is a substantial amount of mold in the closet where my ac unit is. My tubs and sinks have been rusted out sense we moved in. They never spray for bugs..hence why my dog always has fleas. With the amount of dogs that are here they are supposed to spray. But they dont. Parking here is a nightmare people are always parking along all the curbs and near dumpsters and will not move for days. Making it difficult to get in or out of parking spots. Also the water bill here is out of this world. $150 from what Ive been told the water bill is split with the whole building.

Welleby Lake Club is great quiet and location is the best. Live bright next to welleby park and close to the sawgrass mall and an elementary school in front. The office staff is great and are so helpful and always answered all my questions and concerns and it feels like I’m living in a resort with home the pool is always clean And has a a huge bar area only change would be umbrellas for the round tables. It’s a gated community which I like and don’t see much ducks around so no stepping in duck poop. It’s really great always seeing the maintenance guys riding around and working and it’s been a good start. You also get approved really quick!!

Quiet community to live in. However the gates has never been closed since Ive lived here and would love to see its actually working. I read in a comment above about the kitchens and the formica countertops.. I work in the granite field maybe we can work a deal! Overall a little bit or things here and there but love welleby lakes apt!

I lived here for almost 4 years and I love this place!

Lived here for a year rent goes up after first year, NOT gated, gate has not worked since I moved in 6/17, but I do have to pay a fee for the gate card . Apartment have mold. Windows dont close all the way, dryer has to be run 2-3 times to dry clothes, .. hope you have other options.....

Ms. Diania has been a pleasure to work with since the start of my residency at Welleby Lake Club. The customer service she provides is welcomed, especially being a S. Florida resident. She goes above and beyond any time you bring a concern to her attention and she always follows up on any requests. On another note, gates should work consistently, as they dont at the moment, & the community could use some updating in terms of aesthetics and appliances. Residents are seeing some changes, although slow. The cost of living here should coincide with the amenities/ facilities and rental units. I am hopeful we are getting what we asked for. Mgt has changed, again, and TBH, I only renewed the lease for 2021/2022 because of Diania. Staff can change, but Ms. Diania should be a constant.

Great place to live in but lately they been breaking car windows and stealing inside the car. And I went to the office everybody said sorry and thats it to me it looked like they didnt take it seriously and they still breaking into people car.

I walked in the door and on a Sunday. There were a few people waiting which was fine but the person at the desk asked me if he could help me....I said well I wanted to know how much....he cut me off and says you need to come back sir. I said...you dont have anything that I can have to tell me how much one of your apts are... You need to come back sir. I said you cant just tell me? He did and I walked out. Young guy that was working around 3-4pm on 07/13/2014. He was very rude and I dont want to live there for that reason. All I wanted and wouldve been satisfied with was a sheet of paper with the prices and floorplans.

I am currently a renter at Welleby Lake Club Apartments. When I first came to look at the community I was impressed. There was a gate, the office/pool area was nice and it was near the lake. The apartment was spacious and I liked the screened in porches. However, after I paid all my fees. signed the lease and was committed I shortly realized I had made a mistake. Upon the initial inspection I was appalled. Upon me moving in my appliances were VERY dirty and like some of the previous ppl stated very outdated. There were several visible patches on the walls throughout the apartment where maintenance did very shotty patch work to cover up. The closets and under the sink were full of mildew and I still am struggling to rid my apartment of that. The icemaker produced particles of stuff on the ice and my water is yellow!! My air conditioner was very rusty and didnt work and they ended up replacing it. My washer and dryer also didnt work properly. Something breaks literally every week. Additionally, when I initially moved in maintenance fixes my issues promptly. Now it takes weeks to get them to respond. We recently had Hurricane Irma pass through these ppl have yet to begin the clean up. The gate is broken ALLLLL the time so it is just there for show and ppl that are not residents hang out at the pool alllllll night. That is currently why I am up at 3am writing this review. The complex recently changed management so hopefully some things will change. I noticed they made sure they got the website running just in time to collect the rent... yet the grass is almost hitting my kneecap. The hallways are dirty and ppl do leave trash and the police are here often. This is not the dumpiest apartment because again the space is nice but if I had of know what I know now when in was apartment hunting, I definitely would have passed this place. I pay almost $1,700 per month and it is definitely not worth it. The apartment and the community as a whole needs to upgrade. There are wayyyyyy nicer places for cheaper. I am definitely going to continue to complain and when my lease is up.. Im outta here.

High rent, I really dont know what they mean with the word luxury when you go on the website is just a really bad joke, Ive lived here for a year and Im just so happy my lease is ending. I cant wait to get out from here. Nasty corridors, stairs, old buildings, I found roaches the 2nd night after I moved in, the sell a gated community but the gate probably works only 15 days a year its ALWAYS broken and even if it works anybody can come in because theres no fence on the backside of the community, the mail boxes were robbed 3 times (all of them) I never got an explanation of what happened, the pool is always full of dead bugs and dirt. Beware if youre moving out because you have to give them notice 2 months prior or theyll charge you a FULL month of rent just because of that. Im sure the administration overcharges for water and sewer consumption but theres no way to prove it anyway. Several black outs over the year I already lost count but that could be FPLs foult since theyre a terrible company as well. Appliances are old and beaten so expect them to break very often, the only good thing I can say of this community is that they have a very good maintenance team, theyre fast and professional when it comes to fix something specially Mr. Nestor, great guy. If moving out I suggest you contact a professional cleaning company to clean the apartment since they will find any excuse to take your deposit. I rate them with 1 star mostly because of the high rent and the poor amenities they offer, I just cant stand the fact that they fill their mouths saying this is a luxury complex, is not by any means. Be really careful if youre moving in because theres also lots of break ins and car robbery. Of course the staff wont recognize any not this information but just compare my review with the other and youll see much in common.

Ok.. So 1st things 1st. When trying to find a safe and quiet place to live I figured west Sunrise should be a great place. But I was sadly mistaken. My 1st mistake was thinking Welleby lake club would a nice place to live. Yes its all nice a pretty when you looking but once you move in that when you realize you moved to the hood. Every day I see a bunch of shady ghetto people moving in and it makes me sick because they come in here with there hood music and drugs. I have lived here just about a year now and there have been 3 break in. Thats very scary to me. The gates at the front are useless because any thug can come on the property thru the back where the side walk connects to a side street. Also even if the gates did keep out some crime they are never working! They always have some type of issues with the gates. Also the stair ways look nasty all the time. At one point in time the people who live upstairs had dragged there trash to the dumpster and spill some trash ( old food) on the stairs and in stead of cleaning it they left so when I called the office and told them they need to clean it up they told me then would clean it asap and then 3 mths pass and the food was still there stuck to the stairs!!. So pretty much this property is a wasted. The only positive thing about it is I love the inside of my apartment its big and pretty and clean. And I love my view!

Its a great area but not worth the rent the gate is always broke anyone can enter at any time there are teens smoking drugs at the pool late nights and I saw a foot chase between the cops in a boy Mona in the front office is very rude (with her purple ghetto lipstick)..

I lived at the Welleby Lake club for around three years, at first I loved it, I felt that my 1-1 was well priced and there didnt seem to be any issues. Then the break-ins started. There was a different property manager there at the time and she assured me that that the only sensible resolution was to stick a pin in the sliding glass door. I made mention several times to her that the gates were absolutely useless and never worked, ultimately the manager was changed. The next issue I has was several years back when the complex decided to re-paint the ground in between apartments. They let us know that there may be some water flowing so lay a towel down I am not kidding when i say there was several gallons of red paint colored water flowing from under my door because I was unfortunate enough to live in the corner unit on ground floor. The rent went up substantially over the years and when I tried to move to a larger unit I was given miss-information from a gentleman who no longer works there. Apon move out I received a bill for a month of rent that shouldnt have been charged and things that were told to us, by the maintenance man inspecting the apartment should be covered by our deposit. I wrote the manager (who has never emailed me back) and ultimately got it fixed by Jason and the other lady who works in the office. Jason and that lady were very nice to me but it very much upset me that the manager never took the time out to apologize and work on the issue. Ultimately I felt that the amount I had left to pay was very very high and I have still have no idea what the pet deposit was actually for but I paid it just to get it done. Today, I got two letters one addressed to my husband one to me and they both threatened if we didnt pay what they said to (the amount on the letter was incorrect) that they would take me to collections. I just moved out on the 28th of October and found that incredibly rude. Thats what prompted me to do this, I was just going to part ways but the fact I get two letters on the same day after a week and a half of trying to get the balance correct then pay is insane. I feel that this complex is at times unsafe, I feel the 1-1 is expensive. I feel that Jason and the other lady there are over worked and do the best they can but I feel burned.
