We are so glad we found Charleston Taekwondo. My son is small for his age and asked to do martial arts. We enrolled him in classes here and he is thriving. The instructors are so good with all the kids and the kids not only learn, but have so much fun. Highly recommend!

Our son has been attending CTKD since March of this year and he has progressed not only in belts but in discipline, physical exercise and some Korean. Master Gable, Miss Yujin, and the other staff here are a Great Team! They all work together to ensure that their mission of training the next generation of EXPERT BLACK BELTS become a reality!! We love the added discipline it has taught our son which is why we were initially interested. Classes last 45 minutes just perfect fort these kids nowadays!!

Everyone here is amazing, they have great communication between the parents and even send picture updates! My son loves going there everyday and loves to tell me about how fun his day was. They are very structured and all around great!

The experience seen has been pleasant so far, I like the engagement with the kids. I have personally seen a growth of a kid who was not focused improve over the course of classes. The camaraderie is amazing among the kids they enhance the skills in each other!!! The instructors are helpful and patient engaging with the students it’s a joy to watch.

I have enrolled my two children in classes with CT. We are so pleased with the level of professionalism from Master Gable and his wife. They are an excellent team!! Master Gables knowledge of the sport is only rivaled by his incredible patience and compassion. He knows when to challenge a student and when to encourage. My teenagers confidence has gone up dramatically and my toddler is listening better at home and working hard in class. The facility is very clean and the environment is very positive and supports the pupils and family members. I would recommend CT to anyone! Yes they can!!!

My kids competed in their first tournament Saturday! They did an amazing job! Not only did she perform in front of a crowd of people staring at her, she killed it with her form and board breaking. I was a little hesitant initially about signing my kids up for classes/ lessons. I was concerned they would try using it on each other! However, Master Gabol strengthened the home- class connection by telling students home behavior also had Taekwondo consequences.I love that there are so many instructors/ leaders assisting with classes, there is always a positive vibe, and students are engaging in a lot of movement throughout sessions. If you’re interested in your child learning to be disciplined, able to focus, more coordinated, stretched mentally and physically, than this is the place for you. One of my children has learned and recites the “Yes, I can” every time he thinks something is too hard for him. Our son (6) has been attending here for about five months now! We attended another facility and it wasn’t the right fit! Master Gabel and Yujin have been nothing short of great with Thomas! Communication is important when working with an organization that supports emotional, mental and physical growth in your children. We have seen Thomas grow so much in his time at Charleston TKD!In addition to the classes he takes, we also joined the virtual school program! CTKD picks him up at school and completes the required second half of the day in virtual learning for DD2. Having been to a few different places before this one, I believe this is the perfect place for my son. The times for classes are convenient. The staff is great with the kids. Charleston Taekwondo- Summerville has been amazing for my three daughters. They range in age 4, 7, 16 and Master Gabel does a fantastic job teaching each of them on their level. My girls are learning the art of Martial Arts and it shows in their personalities at Taekwondo and we are noticing a positive difference at home as well. This was our second karate type place we tried after being unhappy with our first one. To say we like Charleston Taekwondo would be an understatement- we LOVE them! The staff goes above and beyond with the kids! They are super engaged with their learning and my kids look forward to going every week! I have seen HUGE changes at home as well with respect and manners! The price is more than some other local places but in our opinion- COMPLETELY worth it!!!!! ❤️

My 9 year old son and I (a 41year old out of shape stay-at-home mom) started taking classes as soon as the Summerville location opened. My son begrudgingly went to the first trial class with me but he loved the classes and so did I. Master Gable is an awesome teacher. Hes patient, fun, and knowledgeable. Master Gable does a great job working on character development with the kids. Hes also been good at challenging the adults to push their comfort zone to improve technique. My son and I are improving our fitness in such a fun way!

My little sister goes here and I have noticed a distinct change in her taekwondo abilities, but also her attitude towards life. She is always excited to go to your class and I can’t wait to see where this goes!

Not only do you get enough free lessons to really gauge if this is the right martial arts for you (we really appreciated that) but the staff is amazing and the dojo is nice. They are also taking precautions amidst COVID which we really appreciate. My family can’t say enough great things about the staff in particular Ms. Yujin! She has been so wonderful right from the beginning answering all of our questions and really making us feel so welcomed. Our daughter really decided this dojo because of the way she felt so welcomed and comfortable by Ms. Yujin. Our daughter is truly excited about furthering her martial arts skills here. It has been a lot of fun taking the Taekwondo classes here. Master Gable is really nice and amazing with all the kids in the classes. Thats 4 classes and it gives you a great idea on what the class is like. I highly recommend this location for Taekwondo if you are interested. And... Im a real student.
