The townhouse was turn key. Very nice living space. Nice area but it didnt get two stars for that.Noah and its parent company, Common, are IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. In 5 weeks my wife and I have sent over a dozen emails, left at least 6 messages, and commented on every social media outlet they are on. In that time, we havent heard one thing except Common/Noah opening their coin purse to collect our rent money. The laundry room door was broken when we moved in and remains that way. I submitted a maintenance request for that over a week ago and still havent heard anything. We signed our lease in April and have yet to receive a copy so we cant get mail to our box. The answering service is always taking phone calls no matter if the office is open or not.Tldr; great living space, excellent community, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT COMPANYUPDATE: We have finally had our contacts returned and all of our questions answered at once. Jolene is a super star. Communication is key in every facet of life. Not having it is frustrating, especially from the company youre paying for a place to live. Im not going to lie, its a little frustrating the lengths I had to go to in order for it to happen, but it has been resolved. Were expecting a nice few years here!

While we love living here, love the friendliness of the neighbors and area, my stars are specifically for Jolene Brown.We had communication issues with the company who owned the property before Noah. We were hopeful that when the Noah team took over things would get better, but it was impossible to get in contact with anyone for months: no responses to emails or phone calls and no one is in the on site office on a regular or even scheduled basis. Theyd had the property for over a year and the property manager Mrs. Jones would blame the phones or say there was a miscommunication. Extremely frustrating when you need help and cant reach anyone but theyre faithful in sending out rent collection notices.Our calls were routed to Jolene and while we initially werent one of her official residents, she began taking our calls a few months ago and is absolutely incredible. She makes sure to not only get requests sent out and followed up on, but is excellent with returning your calls or emails should you miss her. We had pretty extensive repairs that needed to be done and it took months to get someone out and Jolene stuck with us through that entire experience, making sure we and our newborn were taken care of. There arent enough good things to say about her and she absolutely deserves a raise for all the work she does for us.The maintenance staff is also really great when management sends them out. Theyre polite, friendly, and efficient and were grateful for them, especially during the pandemic.
I am currently a resident at Beamons Mill, I have been here three years and ive never been so ready to move! Noah is horrible! lack of communication, they never answer the phone or fix anything! they have so many different numbers that keep rerouting you to different people that cant help or know any information. I wouldnt recommend this property to ANYONE! Theyre only getting a star because my review wont post without it.
Recently, I needed some repairs done to my unit and submitting those repairs online was not cooperating with me...at all. I called the office..spoke to a Ms. Jolene Brown and within 48 hours the repairs were done, which I didnt expect that soon. I appreciated the expedient manner in which Ms Brown handled the order. Her professionalism, courteous, and friendly customer service is a credit to herself and the company. Again, thank you very much Ms Brown.
I applied for and apartment back in February. I was told by Brooke after a tour, to apply since I like the apartment. The apartment was already lease out, so they promised a refund. Its now June and Im still call for my refund.
I have been a resident for 6 years and since management changed it was been huge communication struggle between the management and residents. I finally got in contact with Ms. Jolene 🙏🏼 . Ms Jolene has returned and answered all of my calls as she promised and also was by my side for 3 weeks while my concerns were addressed. Hopefully things will start to turn around. However I’m thankful for Ms. Jolene now letting us down and being our advocate for the residents.
Horrible management. I have lived here for three years now and they have gone so downhill since changing to the Noah residence people. They never answer the phone or call back. They dont answer maintenance requests ever. They gave us less than one days notice to get our pets out of the house and remove everything from the cabinets and bathrooms so they can do pets control. Im a working parent i dont have time for all that after i get done work plus taking care of my two year old. Absolutely insensitive and selfish people. Do NOT rent from them.
So Ill give a pros and cons.Pros: 1. Neighborhood is full of wonderful neighbors all very welcoming and helpful people.2. Neighborhood is extremely quiet and peaceful3. While the units might be on the slightly pricer side, I feel its a nice, clean two story townhome for essential two bedroom apartment downtown pricing.4. When you manage to talk to a staff member through e-mail or on the phone they are extremely helpful and professional. Jolene Brown is who I have worked with and is easily the only reason I even went through with my application and helped with set up.The cons that prevented the 5 star:1. Not sure if its due to COVID-19, but literally you can never get a hold of maintenance. If I didnt have the e-mails of Jolene and the property manager Id probably never get anything fixed. Its currently my biggest and only real issue. They do get around to fixing it but I should be able to call the front office and get someone on the phone or at the very least have the common courtesy to return my voicemails.All in all a good townhome 10 min from everything you need and 20-30 min from Chesapeake and Norfolk due to being right off the highway. My wife and I had a small time frame to find a place and Im so glad we ended up here......now if only someone could pick up the damn phone 😂😂😂

Do not rent from these people. There are the most inconsiderate, irresponsable people/company I have ever seen. They have changed management every 6 months and its gets worse and worse.. My mother is elderly and have been living out here for 8 years. They do not pick up the phone or respond to maintenance request. Her AC has literally went out every summer for the last 3 years including now she is in the house with no AC and has been calling maintaince and the office for 4 days and no response. I am filing a complaint with the city and mayors office. This is so damn crazy and makes me so angry.
Been trying to get in contact with someone for 4 weeks !! Email being ignored !! Even the office seems to be open whenever they want !!! Really fed up !!
Unorganized management, will never call you back or communicate with you.
