I’ve been to every mechanic in Steamboat and Bears is by far the best and most honest mechanic in Steamboat! I had starting issues with my car and had seen three other “highly rated” mechanics that did everything but fix the issue but continue to charge me for unnecessary replacements. Bears was the only one to fix the issue and brought to my attention other necessary repairs that I could take care of over a period of time at a decent price! He fixed my coworkers alternator the same day her car broke down and was upfront and communicative about pricing. I will always recommend Bears to anyone looking for an honest mechanic!

By far the best mechanic experience Ive ever had. Chris has earned my return business as long as I live in Steamboat. His honesty and integrity show right when you meet him. He even fixed my license plate that was hanging off, without asking. Hes a stand up guy and I would highly recommend anyone to him. Called in with an issue, and was at the shop 5 minutes later talking with Chris directly. Without hesitation he started to help me address the problem and find the best solution at the most reasonable price. Had me out the door, on the road, and worry free in an hours time. I even had time to play with some of the cutest dogs in Routt County at no extra cost! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. BEST MECHANIC IN THE BOAT.

Bears Automotive has helped me out with my old truck many times, and they are the ONLY MECHANIC I have EVER been to that I felt was being totally honest and open about everything going on with my truck. These guys are hands down the best in the boat. Brought in my vehicle for a repair and it was fixed day of... when my vehicle began to experience the same issues as before bringing it in the first time, the shop diagnosed that the part from the factory had been faulty, and replaced the part again with no extra charge! They strive for greatness and far surpass it with their service.

I came to them last minute in hopes that they could help with a few repairs before I left for Denver the next day for a 3-hour drive with no window. Within an hour and a half they had already done more for me than I could have asked. Very sweet and loving family. They took care of me well for a first-time customer and for someone who doesnt even live in Steamboat. This was an amazing customer experience and I would recommend them to anybody.

These guys are amazing. From fixing my daughters VW passat, to putting on my Winter tires on my Focus, and fixing a slow leak in another tire, to installing a brand new windshield wiper arm on the back of my car. They are fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced. They are my go to mechanic from now on

Brought my car in to change tires and they did not balance the tires, which is part of the process. Each tire was over an ounce off, which is a large amount! The refuse to give me credit or anything after another shop had to fix their mistake. Cant even trust them to do something simple like a tire change. Horrible customer service too!!! Dont go here if you want your car fixed appropriately.!
