Bottom of the barrel customer service. Wasted an entire day after making an appointment. Couldnt get part for repair but never had the decency to call me to give me this update. Called THEM twice and was finally told what was going on a half an hour before they closed.

The team at University Tire went above and beyond to help my father who was having a pretty rough day. The customer service you provided made his entire day better. Thank you for being the unicorn in the service industry and providing exceptional service!!!!

Always take good care of my car and never try to oversell things which means a lot to me.

I made an appointment Friday morning to get an alignment. 30 minutes before the appointment the next Monday, and they call to say were sorry, we no longer do alignments on Volkswagens. A little more notice wouldve been nice. Here I am waiting until Wednesday for a different shop to fix my car.

I visit here a lot, we buy tires for police, they are very reasonable here.

Very responsive for my appointment and diagnosed my problem with tire monitor also AC problem diagnosed with the cost of repair and possibly more diagnostic concerns if needed. Repair estimate was accurate for all repairs to give my cold AC back working. Very good and satisfied with workmanship skills for my vehicle

After having a negative experience with another auto body in town I decided to go to University Tire and thank God I did. I found great, friendly staff who are easy to talk to and genuinely care about you and your vehicle. I HIGHLY recommend University Tire and will be coming back!

My Land Rover was previously aligned at a dealer and the steering wheel was still off and it felt slightly ponderous on the road. It now drives perfectly and the steering wheel is straight thanks to University Tire! They also took care to put my sunshade back in the windshield when they parked it outside--a nice touch and refreshing attention to detail!

I would give them a zero rating if I could. That’s zero, as in zero customer service. I had a flat while driving through the Statesboro area and had to get AAA to change it out for me. I stayed in a hotel for the night and the following morning I got up super early and went to University Tire to get the flat fixed and put back on my truck. I got there even before they were officially open even though all the doors were open. There were no other customers in the business at the time. I Explained the predicament to the man behind the counter who seemed to who could not have cared less. He asked if I was going to leave it and I again explained that I was traveling and would need to wait for it. He said I’d be waiting a while and rambled on about drop offs and appointments, etc. he could have very easily told me that they would work me in and get me back on the road a quickly as possible. Needess to say he didn’t. Completely uncaring. So I told him that I could not possibly wait until noon time just to get a tire fixed and I would just have to make it back home to Florida on my spare. He said he wouldn’t advise doing that but sadly, he wasn’t going to offer me an option. Horrible business and terrible customer service.

What the other customers recently mentioned about uncaring attitudes is dead on. I don’t expect smiles and fresh coffee but some concern for services is expected. At my oil change (which I waited nearly 2 hours for, despite having an appointment), I asked them to check to see if my brake pads were worn down/needed to be replaced. They never made a note of it on the paperwork, so I asked. The guy basically brushed me off and didn’t even check with the technician...just said if there was an issue, they would have said something. So no answer was supposed to be my answer. Because no chance on forgetting to do it, right?

I originally posted a detailed 1-star review due to having spent a lot of money here on repairs just to get poor customer service in return and additional issues on the vehicle. However, they DID fix the issues that occurred on my husbands vehicle following their repair; so at least theres that.

Adequate......nothing special. Did not go over anything that was done on my vehicle. I had an oil change and tire rotation. I expected them to go over the fluid levels and general condition of my vehicle. Paid them and left......didnt even say thank you or come back. I wont be back.

They put the wrong oil in my car. Thank you. I will enjoy paying to get it fixed.

Ive always gotten good service in a reasonable amount of time. Only thing that bugs me is, they charge extra ($50) if you bring your own parts. Which is what Ill do, since I cant manage the contortions needed to install a pressure line for the power steering in a 2000 Honda Odyssey. Its either that, or get charged an additional $130 for another line, which I cant do and dont need. All in all -- very favorable.

This place was decent. The man behind the counter was friendly, informative and patient. I had to sit in the waiting area with my three month old son who was not very happy about being there. The service man didnt mind me holding my baby and walking back and forth through the store talking to him and trying to comfort him. Although my wait was a little long for the minor tire service I was seeking, they got the job done whereas Discount Tire and Brake could not (at either one of their locations) in addition to giving me the run-around. When they did finally get to my vehicle though, they took care of it in less than 15 minutes altogether. The price was very fair and I was happy with the service and my time spent there.

They’re nice people but only want your money

I had a couple of tires replaced and a new headlight lens installed a few months ago here but I am just now getting around to writing a review. The service was absolutely fantastic. These people do not try to scam or anything; they get straight to the point with great prices and I couldnt be happier. They really seemed to only want the best for me and my car and I appreciate that so much! They even told me that because I was only getting one new lens I would see quite a difference with the brightness and I really do! I will probably be back in the next couple of ones to replace my other one. I really love this place and would definitely recommend it :)

Ive used University Tire for all of my automotive needs since 1995. I dont trust my vehicles to anyone but U.T. The one thing that made me a life long customer is how they stand behind their work 100%.

They could have just done the job we asked for, but they went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was in safe driving condition! I spent a good bit for a lot of work done, but was definitely not price gouged!

Four stars to these guys & especially Eddie! I was in town for meetings this week and my low tire indicator came on yesterday. Oh dear! Unable to find a gas station with air, I waited until morning finding University Tire at 7:30 am. They stopped what they were doing to find all 4 of my tires in need of air; Eddie took care of the problem and In less than 5 minutes I was heading to my 8 am meeting. Thank you University Tire & Service!!!

Greg and staff took great care of my girls that were states away visiting GSU and got them back on the road. They got a flat on 16 after leaving Statesboro and needed a patch but it was right at closing time. Thanks for staying late and taking care of them! I went for a routine oil change. It took them an hour and half to just change the oil, first of all, and now just 2 weeks later I check my oil because my car isnt running like it should and the oil is bad. I usually go 3 months before I need another oil change. It is like they didnt even change it. It is just another place trying to rip people off.

Sent my daughter to get a tire pluged. They told her it couldnt be plugged I told her to leave. They took the tire off the rim and put it in the trunk so it cost me more to plug, remount and balance a good tire. They tried to sell her a tire she didnt need. To the Parents of kids in Georgia Southern dont send your kids here. RIPOFF ARTISTS !!!

Almost 250 for 1 tire and alignment... okay fine fair enough I didnt want to drive to savannah. But then when they gave me the car back the tire that they had just put on wasnt filled... like really Ill be driving to savannah to have my other 3 tires replaced... convenience isnt worth paying double the price per tire and then to not even get it right when youve paid that!

Rip off!!!! Was told that my brake fluid was bad and would need it be flushed. It would eat holes in my brake hoses eventually!!!!!! Interesting on its own but for only $100 too... I would steer clear of this place unless you got more $ than brains.

Walked in and I was treated with decent service . What makes me so mad about the whole situation is that they were going to charge me $504 to change my breaks. !!! They were charging me $252 for front pads and rotor kit!! And 202 for rear pads and turning my rotors ! This place is over priced! Just ridiculous!

Called University Tire and Service on a Friday and ordered one tire and told them I would come Saturday to have it installed. Googled the close time on Saturday and it said 6pm. Called at 1:13pm and said they were closed (they close at 1). I informed them of their close time according to Google and they just said nope we close at one so I reschedule for Monday as with the man who gave no name as he claimed the tire has shipped. I get there Monday and there is one man behind the counter with a customer discussing tires and things she needs fixed for 5 minutes then man and customer leave outside to look at the car with noone to service me for another 7 minutes. Finally help arrives and I state my name and order and there was nothing on file and lady asking me questions like do I have the right place or did I put it under a different name like Im some idiot. Do not go here unless you want to wait long periods and have ur orders ruined and work time off wasted due to poor attention to customer needs.

Do not go here. Terrible service, slow, and from my experience Im not sure they even know what they are doing...

Their to busy to fix my tire. Kept being put on hold and was told I would need an appointment, but none are available this week. Even when I get an appointment they told me it would take more than an hour...went to south side service center and they took me right away, it took 5 MINUTES, and it was cheap. NOT going back to University tire EVER again!

They were nice but its pathetic how tire companies add on every thing they can think of to run up the price.

I was told service would take about an hour, took over 8 hours. Never contacted like they said they would, and tire prices are obsurd.

I needed a tire at the last minute and I was in and out in less than an hour.

Went there for an oil change and tire rotation and thought everything was going OK until halfway to Miami, I noticed they had destroyed my brand new rims. I called them and they said it couldnt have been them, that they use the same wrench for all cars. My first time in this shop was horrible and will be my last.

My father has worked here for 6 years and he has not gotten off on Saturday before 5 ever unless it was his Saturday off, so not real sure about some of these reviews

A little over a year ago I bought 4 tires from here and they were expensive. I had to wait hours for them to be changed out and they werent cheap. Today I had to buy new tires because they were all completely bald. Never coming back here again.
