Statesboro Tire and Brake is the best. I’ve been going to them since my freshman year at Southern back in 2018 when the motor broke in one of my windows and I freaked out. Fortunately, someone recommended them to me and I’ve been going to them ever since. They’re so nice and professional. On top of that, they’re quick and efficient. I got my roommate to start going to them and she loves them too. Being a smaller local owned business compared to a dealer, they’re more personable and give you a better experience. I can’t speak highly enough about them. If you’re new in town for school or just looking for somewhere to go, I 10/10 recommend going here.

Dropped my 99 Lexus LS400 off for replacement of Power Steering pump on Tuesday 10-14-21. On 10-15-21, Wednesday... Mr. Kelvin called me and asked if I would be let them keep my vehicle until Friday 10-17-21 as he had several mechanics out sick and they were running behind. I happily agreed with Mr. Kelvin for a late p m. Friday delivery time. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I was told that the repair was complete, Service Advisor Carl told me that the power steering system was still making groaning noises, however during normal driving the noise would eventually dissipate. I paid $447.94 that covered the cost of the repair, accepted my key and retrieved my Lexus. This is where the whole situation goes South.... upon leaving the repair facility my Lexus had intermittent power steering and the pump was groaning as Service Advisor Carl had discussed with me..... I drove on. At the first traffic light I noticed some smoke coming out from the front wheel wells as I pulled away from the traffic light I now had ZERO POWER STEERING !! I drove a little further and pulled into a parking lot, opened the hood.... The power steering fluid cap had blown off of the fluid reservoir, a geyser of fluid was spraying all over the engine compartment. I shut the vehicle down, placed the fluid cap back on the reservoir and used rags to clean up the fluid as to avoid a potential fire. I have worked in automotive parts and service for 36 years (now retired), I have never witnessed such lackluster repairs and sub-par customer service. I was able to get my vehicle home, I understand that this defective repair was not intended. However, somebody at Statesboro Tire and Brake needs to implement Quality Control as to prevent future clients from experiencing a potentially disastrous situation that I have endured. I was towed in with a blown tire, heading to Middle Ga to hangout with my elderly mother.Mike & his crew put on a new tire and had me back on the road in less than 30 minutes.God bless this company and the folks who work there

My tire had leak. They were busy when I came and he said it would take awhile to diagnose leak and that they dont patch tire leak (they plug). I didnt want to drive away on a deflated tire so I asked if they would put some air in it. So then he said theyll inspect the tire now instead of later. After inspection, they said they couldnt plug it because I need new tires. So I said no and thanked them for filling up the air in the tire. As I drove off down the road going to Meineke for help, several brake warning lights lit up on my dash! These people messed up something! The warning lights still go on and off ever since then. I havent gotten my dash lights checked out yet but this place is shady. That day I did go to Meineke to fix tire leak instead. They did patch tire right then and there fast and professionally.

Go to them instead of University Tire. They are much more upfront and honest with there work and will let you take a look under your car before they start any work on it.

All I can say is I love themThey have taken care of me for 15 years. They have been good to me. Honest and kind. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else. To me, a good and wonderful trust worthy business. The owners see to that.

I went in to get my alternator replaced when I went to pick it up my air conditioner wasnt working. When I brought it back they said that my compressor needed to be replaced and it was going to be 1200 dollars. I had my original receipt where it said nothing about my air conditioning needing anything! I asked the owner Bubba ( the name should explain it all) about why the original receipt wasnt saying anything about the air. He, very aggressively said he has bent over backwards for me when I asked how he proceeded to flip me off! THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF THEY MESS YOUR CAR UP AnD THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.Update: I knew a response was going to happen, but just FYI there was no obscene comments UNTIL the owner flipped me off! I have worked with the public as well and I have never seen a manager or OWNER flip off a customer no matter what. DO NOT GO THERE.

This is the ONLY place Ill take my car. These guys are beyond professional and courteous. They are honest and dont do work that doesnt need to be done just to run your bill up. First class all the way around! Ive sent several co-workers to them and they all had wonderful experiences.

Horrible. Did not fix my car but charged me!! Check engine light came on the next day. Took my car to University Tire for better service!! This is the second time they have been inconsistent. I will never take my car back there!

My sister had car in for alternator to be replaced. Was 370 bucks or so for Labor. She drove off their lot then AC wasn’t working. She saw on paper work they had to take the ac compressor and all off to get to the alternator to replace it. She thought they may have not connected something so took back. They did something to it and said it was broke when brought it in. NOW they say that. Of course the new paper work states it was leaking freon. The day of service paper work no mention of it at all. So they back tracked paper work to try cover themselves. Then it went out again a day later she takes it back says she needs it fixed ASAP since she door dashes to makeMoney. They tell her it will be 1,200 dollars. Keep in mind the AC worked 100000”% perfect before taking to shop. I went in to tak calmly (at first) with owner. Bubba. He tells me he can work with me and reduce to 400 for labor and 350 for part plus tax just say 800. So they broke it and he is going to “work with me” at 800 instead of 1,200. I talked to sister about it and she was even more mad seeing the paper work had been changed to try and cover themselves. We went back and was still calm “at first” trying to see if anything else Bubba could do. He told me best advice is to go somewhere else. I said that doesn’t help this situation at all. Bc their going to charge full price and your one that messed up. He said he had bent over backwards for us and walked off my sister and myself lost are cools alittle as he flips us off and walks away. We let all customers know in parking lot as we were leaving. It’s bad business. If know did something wrong or workers did something to break something just own up to it and help people out. It’s just sad all around honestly. Only thing we can do at this point is small claims court I guess what a waste of my time and his.

If your looking for a repair shop or just general maintenance, Statesboro Tire and Brake is your go to for anything. I have used them many times and have never had a bad experience. They have taken care of any issues Ive brought them and I have had a couple cars that wanted to be difficult. They went above and beyond to help me get back on the road and even offered me a loaner vehicle when my car was being difficult, so I could continue to run my business. They are honest, and prices are fair and reasonable. They will always have my business! Thanks for all you guys do!

I went there for a alignment they lied and said they couldn’t do the alignment because my tire rod was bent my tire rod was never bent didn’t get the alignment and lied to me about the 2 tires needing to be replaced.

Awesome place. Had to have a front end alignment they got me in right away and did a great job. I would highly recommend doing business with them.

I took my car to them on of the 8th of March originally I was told itll be 2-3 days then I was told itll be a week, being they had to reach out to my warranty company and get everything approved and get parts it, which I was told was all taken care of during the first week of them having it. Today is the 18th and my car is still not ready. Safe to say I will not be using them again.

They fixed my engine when it died in more ways than one. They price compared new/used engines to give me the best deal for what I needed. When I got my truck back, all of the little nuisances (squeaking when hitting divots, shaking violently when hitting bumps in the road, etc.) seemed to have disappeared. It ran like it had just come off the lot. The truck runs like new again and I couldn’t be more grateful. I also want to personally thank Mike and his team for getting me back on the road and for fixing my truck!

Highly recommend. When I got a very high estimate for new tires from the dealership, I called Statesboro Tire & Brake and they very quickly got me better tires for close to half the price. Sean even went above and beyond to work with my crazy schedule and find a convenient time to put them on.

To my 1994 mustang in to have roller rockers installed. They had my vehicle for 1.5 and called me and said it was done. I paid and went to get my car the battery was dead and all my parts was in the passenger seat

My wife went here for new tires and an alignment, they quoted her one price on the phone but tried charging something completely different when she got there. They also tried scamming her when she got there saying it needed all new ball joints and the axel seals were leaking when I had just replaced all a few months back. So after getting it home and going through everything myself we took it to someone else and got the alignment done with no issues.

I took my jeep to them. After almost a week they fixed and charged $ 400, the next day my car was failing again. The same problem. I bring the car back to them and they fixed it and charged another $ 130. This time I thought they would fix it, but they did a bad job and the car accelerated by itself. I almost had an accident, I was very scared and the car was running crazy. I drove my car over to them again and they said they didnt have time to check it out. What? I already paid for the repair twice and now they dont have time! ... Im still waiting...... I need my car...

Brought by car in for a repair that was diagnosed in a previous visit. The car was there for 2 days before they called and said they haven’t ordered parts yet and they wanted $300 more than the original quote. When I was getting ready to leave I noticed that all the panels underneath my steering wheel were off and laying on the floor. I had to wait for a mechanic to come and put it back together before I could leave. Also when I got home from the shop I noticed my hubcap was missing. The office staff has also lost my keys on two separate visits. I do not recommend this place to anyone and won’t be returning myself.

Made a last minute appointment to have my A/C inspected and or just topped off, on a SATURDAY. I was seen immediately, and taken care of in an hour and a half. The guys were really informative and helpful. Will gladly return when necessary.

Hands down one if the best auto service shops in the area. The prices are reasonable and the work is of good quality. I do recommend this place for your automotive needs.

They installed new headlights for my car and they did a great job! Very pleased.

I had slight shaking while driving my Toyota avalon so decided to take it here to get an estimate. Biggest mistake of my life. They quoted me for a $1,058.95 dollar repair for 4 whole new tires (only 1 was causing the shaking) as well as fixing my right front wheel bearing. Knowing that didnt sound right I went to the Toyota service center and was given a quote of $267 for 2 new tires and $600 for 4. And they let me know there was absolutely nothing wrong with my wheel bearing. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY WILL 100% TRY TO SCAM YOU.

Owner Mike is not intrested in helping anyone with buying tires...could not be bothered to help me!!!

They charged me 800 for a repair and didn’t even fix it... I had to pay it because they were threatening me that they would scrap/sell my car...in the end I felt as if they took advantage of the fact that I was a college student

I had my daughters car towed there to replace a tire. ONE TIRE cost us $172.00 with no warranty or nothing. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It wasnt professional at all. It was just not worth $172.00 of my dollars. NEVER AGAIN...

This is the place to go. I had an issue with my car that no one could figure out for 2 months that no one could figure out and they got is done in 1 visit. Very competent and very professional. I recommend this place for everyone in or around statesboro.

I cannot stress how nice these people are, I was worried getting a tow just for changing a tire with a stripped lug nut would cost an arm and a leg, but it was 50$ for towing within city limits and the service was by far the most professional I have experienced in my time in statesboro. My wife Called here yesterday because her car is having some sudden issues with delayed shifting. Person who answered the phone said to drop it off in the morning when they open, my wife proceeded to do just this. When She walked in the door and the guy looked at her funny and said I’m sorry I won’t be able to get to your car until next week...Don’t waste your time with these people.We won’t be back, if you can’t value your customers time expect to lose they’re business.

Brought our Ford Escape here for a canister purge valve issue. They took the vehicle in and attempted to replicate the issue but the car would not replicate the issue described. Told us to bring it back as soon as the issue happened again and that they would be more than happy to fix it. Turns out the canister purge valve was causing the issue. They are very clear about their pricing and are willing to work with warranty companies as long as they are designated as a place where the warranty qualifies. A lot of people seem to get upset about pricing but dont ask questions about pricing and service up front. The staff is more than happy to break down the pricing on various services (they broke it down the pricing for different types of oil changes and the canister purge valve replacement for me when I asked). They also clearly explain what is causing the issue and why the repairs are necessary. As someone who doesnt know squat about cars, it was a relief to have such friendly staff who were willing to explain the issues and break down pricing. They were also had very clear communication with us and would update us on when they could see the car, when the part was expected to come in, and when the service would be finished. I used to be wary about coming here but due to their friendly staff, great service, and clear communication, they have gained a customer for life! Thank you Statesboro Tire and Brake!

Will never use anyone else,very helpful and treated us like we had been customers for years fixed our truck when the other shops said its the way fords run, have took the truck to 3 others, they went thru everything and called each time before doing anything and since it took a few days they gave us a car to drive because I had a Doctors appointment, the truck is running like a new truck and got new tires and saved money on them and they done it the same day while we waited, very impressed by the people that work there and the work they did,thank you statesboro tire and brake keep up the awesome job

Camping in Metter and being from Maine, I didnt know where to go to get the oil changed in my diesel pickup, I googled oil changes and found Statesboro Tire and liked the reviews so I went there. I was very pleased, they took me at my appointment time, they were very professional, friendly and courteous . It didnt take them to long even though they were very busy. I was very pleased when I saw the bill.

Was so excited to use my free well earned free oil change coupon today. I went to pick up my car and they charged me for synthetic oil stating they always use it on my car. Came home and my receipt last time was Shell Oil as well as many times in the past. Not very happy.

I went to get my tire patched today. The guys in there are super friendly! It took longer than estimated to get my tire fixed so they didnt even charge me! I was shocked! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Absolutely 100% scamming every single customer that comes for repairs. First it took them 2 weeks to start on it because the owner said it looked like a “project” (never called to ask) and I told the guy that I needed back at the end of that week. I got quoted for the entire job. But once it was finally finished it was double the price, cause according to to him it was two jobs. Needless to say I paid the original price after a heated discussion. This guy is low down scum and certainly not fit to run an honest business, would give negative stars if possible. Absolutely worst repair shop in south east ga.

When visiting GA from upstate NY, my husband needed unexpected work on his truck. They were knowledgeable, quick, and very professional. We asked our mechanic in NY if they did right by us, and he said yes. They could have easily taken advantage of out of staters, and they did not. Later when we moved to GA in June, we needed work done on both our vehicles (older used car and truck with high mileage). Statesboro Tire was very thorough, gave us great pricing - and I did check around - and did very good work. They even picked me up from my house when my car was ready so I didnt have to take a taxi, and I live ten minutes away. I highly recommend Statesboro Tire & Brake.

The worst experience I have ever had in the 10ears Ive owned that car. They cracked my windshield and now the owner Bubba doesnt want to pay for the damages his employee did. On top of it the front office staff talks behind each others back & do not communicate well with each other including the techs. If you didnt know any better they will try to get over on you. I wouldnt advise going there for any kind of services they will ripe you off!

Service was pretty decent. The only problem was a pretty big one. They didnt know where my key was. I found it lodged between my seats. I guess the cup holder or center console wasnt an option.

Even on their worst days, their service is pretty quick.Went to have two new tires installed. I had no objections with their price. They had about 3 workers who didnt show for work for legitimate reasons but I was still taken care of in a time frame that I consider reasonable.Very nice customer service. The only think I thought was a bit much was the $50+ cost to have your car inspected for problems even if you have a general idea of whats wrong but they offset this by subtracting that cost from the cost of the repair if you decide to get it done wit them. I think that is very fare. Will bring my car to them so they can check out my check engine light. Will update this review afterwards.

While visiting Statesboro for the day, I discovered a screw had embedded in my right front tire and knew it had to be fixed right away. Upon searching the internet for a tire repair shop I located Statesboro Tire & Brake. The staff was very friendly and Ashley was quite understanding of my problem. She said they could fix it within the hour even though I noticed they were very busy for a Friday afternoon. When the repair had been completed I went to pay and Ashley said there was no charge. She told me the repair had taken longer than expected and waved the fee. What a wonderful experience to be from out of town and be treated with such kindness. I highly recommend Statesboro Tire & Brake for all your automotive needs.
