HANDS DOWN THE BEST SALON IN TOWN!!!! I got a full set of dip nails and I am so happy with them, I had tears in my eyes walking out of there! I am not originally from this area and it took me YEARS to find a good place back home. Once I moved I knew Id have the same issue but finally the search is over!! O Nails is the literally the best and I will never go anywhere else! Ive tried several places in this town and was ALWAYS super disappointed!! I even went as far as to start using press on/glue on nails because I had been let down so many times, I just gave up on salons! At O Nails they take appointments so theres no waiting around for an hour before your appt and that alone was AMAZING! 45 min and I was OUT OF THERE! and I think it only took that long because the dip set I had on previously was HORRIBLY THICK and needed extra filing :( The employees were SO friendly and welcoming too! they made sure everyone washed their hands as soon as they arrived which was nice! The only thing I am mad about is that I didnt try this place years ago!! This is for sure my go to spot from now on!

Not a fan of their customer service. Some people are nice but the men are rude and just stare at you like you’re an alien. They also can’t do anything modern or fun. Guess it’s a good place if you just want something basic.

I have been going here for years. Helen and her staff are polite and professional. My nails always look great and they really hold up . In my opinion they are the best nail salon in State College.

Received a dip manicure here last week. My nail tech was very rude and pushy throughout my service. I wanted to ensure the color I picked would be opaque and not see through. She ensured it would be. It was very much see-through. I only received 3 quick dip coats (at other salons I usually get 4-5). Rather than soaking my nails with existing dip on them first, she drilled them down and it was very painful. They are brittle, thin, and all of the dip has started chipping off (which is crazy, I always get dip and it lasts 4-5 weeks!) and this was only a week ago. The tech was talking on her cell phone throughout the service, texting, and complaining about how she couldnt wait to get off her shift. Very unprofessional. I will not return!

This nail salon is amazing!!!! I have been to almost every nail salon in this area and I finally was going to try this one because this was my last option and I’m very picky about my nails I like them extremely long and coffin set so it is extremely hard to find somebody who can do coffins correctly because it’s not very popular down here. And what are usually go into a nail salon they are quick if they don’t really listen to what you want. They listen to everything I want in on my nails the design the shape and how long and they came out perfect and if you have to wait like 15 minutes like I did trust me the wait is worth it they’re extremely nice and very sweet and extremely sociable I recommend everybody to go here with any type of nails you have

Nice salon for state college, not as crowded as some

O nails is the absolute BEST nail salon in state college! They provide the best customer service and are so friendly. They are so great at what they do and will make sure you’re happy with your nails. I love them and won’t go anywhere else!

I needed to get my nails done for graduation. On a whim, I decided to walk in to O Nails and waited for a little bit before being helped. The technician was nice and did a good job on gel French mani/pedi I wanted. Two days after I visited, my manicure started to chip. Overall, service was good but very disappointed in the quality.

I loved the gel French manicure I got for my wedding day. Here I am 9 days later on the honeymoon and three nails on my right hand are chipping and peeling. And I’m not even right handed. I am disappointed.

The guy I had was absolutely horrible. So rude! As someone who bites their nails from severe anxiety I was so nervous to get a manicure after my pedicure. (Which he ignored me the whole time and made fun of a dry spot on my foot). Not only did he make mention that my nails were so short every time he touched a finger, he kept shaking his head at me and laughing. Not to mention the huge chunk of skin he took out of my thumb that is now throbbing. I was so upset/embarrassed I had to walk out and my friend paid for me. Full price! I’ll never come back.

Everyone was super friendly. I was seen as soon as I got in and The salon was really pretty and clean and my services exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back in 2 weeks!

They are NOT doing infection control. I just left after noticing that they are using THE SAME tools for ALL customers for pedicures. I even called ahead and asked what they were doing for infection control. But thats not what is happening in real life. If you want to get any sort of disease go here. Disgusting. Now I have to worry about getting any disease. Irresponsable. Just know that if you go, and you are risking your health.

Pedicures are amazing and you can’t beat the price either! The people are super nice and my pedicure was done very well compared to surrounding places I’ve been to.

I came to visit my brother at penn state and I needed a quick manicure. I came here for the first time and it was very clean and speedy, also the man was very nice even though I’m a little fidgety. My nails look great, strongly suggest coming here. I came on a light day, so wait times may vary!

I have had pretty mixed experiences when I go to this salon. Some manicures have been great and some have been terrible. Most recently, I got a dip manicure and the polish itself was done fairly well but they neglected to do any of the cuticle care. Overall, an average salon with hit or miss quality.

I liked the results but they didnt or couldnt do the 3d floral acrylic nails that I wanted from the beginning cuase they are not a 3d acrylic nail salon, but he did a really good job, but not what I asked for.

Great service and many options of colors (including dip!!). The place is roomy and very elegantly decorated. Last time I went, Ken took care of me. My nails came out perfect (it’s been two weeks and the gel polish hasn’t even peeled/chipped) and it was the best French pedicure I’ve ever gotten. Very happy with everything about this place :)

Manager was rude and is not nice! I have been getting gel manicures done for awhile now and never had any issues of them chipping. I would wash dishes and all kinds of things. They would last for 3-4 weeks. (The way Ken did them would last that long) The last time I got my gel manicure done I was headed out of town to relax on the beach (no dishes to do, etc). (Ken wasn’t available so we got them done by someone else) My nails chipped within a couple of days. I came in and explained to them that I wanted to get them redone because they would just continue chipping. I thought they would understand and redo them without a problem. The manager argued and accused me of chipping them. I told her I didn’t want to argue and just asked if they could redo them. I ended up getting them redone and no chips for almost 2 weeks now. I know it wasn’t my fault the nails chipped the other time, it was definitely the way they were done. The next time I came in, the manager immediately came up to me and told me she can’t see me and my daughter. I wasn’t even there to get my nails done! I brought my daughter to get hers done since hers came off shortly after 1 week. I didn’t even bother getting them to believe that hers came off way sooner than usual. When I told her that my daughter has a gift certificate to redeem, the manager spoke to another guy in Chinese and allowed my daughter to redeem her certificate. I have always been a kind customer and was extremely disappointed with the way they treated us. I was never rude and never argued with them. Will not be referring anyone to this place.

I came to this place earlier and this was such a great experience. Everything was done perfectly and exactly how I wanted. Everyone was very respectful, patient and made me feel very comfortable. I showed Helen a picture of nails that I wanted and she matched It perfectly! Ken did my pedicure and was very thorough. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely be back here.

I was so lucky to recently have a friend recommend O Nails to me. I have gotten gel manicures in State College for years but was never 100% satisfied with the service I received. O Nails is completely different! The staff is super friendly and the salon is clean. They also happily take appointments AND honor them. As far as Im concerned, Ken gives the best manicure in State College. He is friendly and always makes sure youre happy with his work. I refuse to go anywhere else. Thanks, O Nails!

I needed a place to get my nails done at school and tried o nails for the first time yesterday. i loved it! the salon itself is beautiful and their prices are affordable. had ken and he did an amazing job. i will definitely be returning in a few weeks!

As a college student, I usually get my nails done in Jersey, but O Nails is where I go when I’m unable get there. I’m not a big fan of Gel polish unless I don’t feel like waiting for my nails to dry; so my full set is generally cheaper. My nails came up to $50 because I picked 5 different nail colors + shape & length. In Jersey this would have ran me $35 however, I understand it’s a college town and prices are going to be more expensive. Overall, the gentleman who did my nails did a very good job, he was very friendly, and funny which was most appreciated. Only part he left out was pushing my cuticles back but that’s something I could have mentioned but failed not too, I was also in a rush so I really didn’t care. Other than that great service highly recommend!

I love this place! First time going and I will so be back! It’s beautiful inside and the people are so nice. I got a fill and loved it so much. If you’re a student looking for a salon, GO HERE. It’s close to a lot of the off campus housing areas and so worth the money!!

Great nail salon... probably the best in state college. Its always super crowded so be prepared to wait unless you go right after opening or just before closing time.

They always get me in and I just stop by when Im in State College. I have had my nails done there for literally 10+ years. Helen always gives me exactly what I want..she has all the new colors and knows all the new trends.

10/10 definitely recommend. I’m so sad to be leaving State College because O Nails is the only place I trust to do my nails! Everyone is so friendly (especially my girl Ashley) and they all do such a wonderful job. It’s a really fun environment and amazing quality for great price.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Have been getting acrylics in State College for almost 10 years now, and this is my last resort.At my most recent visit, I had to point out flaws more than once to my manicurist. I then (begrudgingly) paid $40 cash and left. Not 12 hours later, THREE of my nails had chipped and the acrylic had started to peel away from my nail on two other fingers. When I called to have the cost of my manicure refunded, I was told that no refunds were given.I will not be going back and will be advising others of the same.

The service is extremely poor，I would not even give one star if I could. They are not kind and does not talk to me at all so I just set and it is creepy！and sometimes you feel like they are saying complains about you when they talk in their own language！unbelieveble bad experience！ I have never had this kind of bad service in a nail salon，will never ever coming back again！！！

This nail salon is absolutely perfect. Other places usually are over priced with low-quality maintenance and customer service. However, I highly recommend Ken for nails. I went to o nails for the first time and had the best experience that I’ve ever had at a nailsalon. Ken was my nail tech and he was knowledgable and recommended a service for me that fit my needs. I’ve gotten acrylics put on poorly from other businesses and my nails were not healthy. Ken set me up with the gel dip powder to help make my real nails healthier. They are shaped perfectly and are even on both hands. It was clear that everyone was passionate about making sure their customers are satisfied with high quality nails. They will definitely be my new go to place.

Ive gone to every nail place in State College and I have always come back to this one. Their staff is amazing and as long as you treat them respectfully (as you should to anyone) they will give it right back. My nails always turn out exactly how I want them and they are always down to work with me on what I want. Im telling you this is the only nail place you should be giving your money to.

I really love this place. Their prices and quality are so much nicer than most places in State College. The staff is so polite and really like to take their time to ensure their work looks great. They also open a new pack of tools for each customer.

My gel manicure looks good but they did not ask me whether I wanted my nails rounded or square. So square it was. Also I had one nail that was shorter than the rest and they werent going to make the other ones shorter until I asked them to.In sum, you will have a good experience here if you are specific about what you want.

Be careful! A lot of the nail color boards do NOT match the actual color they put on your nails. And then they will charge you double to fix it

I never leave reviews but this place is the absolute worst that it is necessary for you to avoid. I went in for an acrylic full set and the manager was very pushy, fast-paced and rude. She stopped like five times while doing my nails to help other people and seemed annoyed when she had to come back to do my own. She kept calling and FaceTiming people which is unprofessional. Fast forward five days later and my nails are lifting up. Acrylics usually last two and a half weeks, with my old lady 3 weeks. I went back in and showed her and she said it’s normal and that I would need to pay if I want it fixed. The original job had already cost me $55. Avoid this place at all costs. Cheap, overpriced and extremely rude people.

A friend recommended me to O Nail Spa and I loved my experience. Ken did my nails and explained the benefits of dipping powder, which I never had tried before. The atmosphere was wonderful and chill. I love my nails!

Ive tried all of the nail places around here and i go out of my way to take the bus off campus for O nails. theyre the only nail place around here where the acrylic nails will stay on and are done very well, and the price is good too. their new place is beautiful and the massage chairs made me kind of disappointed when it was my turn. ken is amazing as always. so glad i found a place in state college worth going to before i graduate

Horrible experience, the nails I came in with were a million times better than what I left with. Damaged my nails completely to the point of literal breakage. The staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional even though I was very polite to them. DO NOT go to this place, there are many other deserving and professional nail salons around state college and this is not one of them. SAVE YOUR NAILS AND YOUR MOOD AND DO NOT GO THERE!

Very disappointed with the guy who did my nails. He was rude. I asked him to please do underneath my nails and he says that he only has 2 hands. He did not have to address me that way. Got my eyebrows waxed and they did such a great job. Better than Walmart ever did. I 100% recommend them for waxings.

This place looks decent because it’s a new location/recently renovated, but don’t be fooled: this place takes no pride in their work! They are ok with treating customers poorly and delivering low-quality results as long as they still get paid.-terrible customer service-unskilled, rough male technicians-tacky, unprofessional female owner/manager-employees smoke right outside the entrance so you can breathe in that sweet, sweet secondhand smoke when they finally tend to you-unsanitary practices (the man who did my nails used a dirty paper towel that was under other items on his desk to soak up the blood from my fingers after he cut me. He then used that same towel to clean the cuticle trimmer and nail clipper and apply acetone to my wounds!)-it took the man doing my nails close to two hours for a simple, regular manicure (not even gel) and he couldn’t even do that properly- every single time he applied polish to a nail, he had to to go in with a brush/acetone and fix his messy application. Not only did it burn (because he cut me multiple times while trimming my cuticles), it dried out my cuticles!-if you come in here and they butcher you, they will demand that you pay before leaving “for the service”I do NOT recommend this Petri dish of a nail salon to my fellow Penn State students or to any locals!

I’ve been getting my nails done in the state college area for over 10 years and today was my first time visiting this salon and I must say I had an excellent experience (Thank u Mimi). Nail tech was gentle and not overly aggressive as I have experienced in some places in town. My regular shmegular mani looks like gel and is super opaque and not streaky. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

Great service and price. Theyre very friendly and they dont take it personally when you want a specific look to your mani or pedicure.They also find no need to speak in a foreign language... Which doesnt bother me personally but I have friends who tell me they wonder why that always happens other places ....Id recommend to any one.

Was okay, overpriced for simple acrylic nails. $60 much cheaper places downtown for half the price. Didnt really clean off my hands so I still had some dust left on my hands and inside the nails. You can see the fake nail through the acrylic which I dont like. Definitely not worth the money spent, but will have deal with it for graduation.

Super friendly and kind to one another, however my gel manicure has already started chipping within a week and I paid $70 for gel mani and pedi. Very disappointed with the quality of the work since I enjoyed the service. I do not recommend.

Fair prices but one staff member in particular has flirted with both me and my 16 year old sister. Started by asking innocent questions like “what kind of food do you like” and turned into him holding and stroking my hands (no, it was not part of the dip powder process) and trying to make heavy eye contact multiple times. He kept saying how badly he wanted to see me come back. In my LITTLE SISTER’s case, he asked her out on a date and persisted when she said no. “Why not?” “Are you sure?” This is not friendly conversation or innocent small talk. Considering that we are unable to remove ourselves from the situation as he is doing our nails, it is wildly uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter how old she looks or how old I look, you should not be flirting with customers, but especially not physically touching in an uncomfortable way. This is unacceptable and extremely inappropriate. We will not be returning.

This is probably by far my favorite nail place. They can get a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Helen is such a sweetheart. The place is clean, staff is friendly and organized. They really take their job seriously and I appreciate that.

These people call themselves professionals when they sit on there phone on facetime while they have someone that is paying them ! My daughter went in for a full gel set and all they did was paint her nails and charged her 30 bucks all while face timing! This place is over priced and very rude I will never go here again nor will I recommend them to anyone !

I love this place - Ive been going here for the past few months and they always do a great job on my acrylic nails - I do acrylic with gel polish and my nails always look gorgeous - Ken does a great job - Glad I finally found a reliable nail salon to go to in the State College area - 5 stars.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The employees were extremely rude and unprofessional and completely unwelcoming. I got a mani/ pedi and the pedicure was so poorly done that I would have done a better job myself at home and couldve saved my money. Considering the treatment and poor performance, their services are over priced. I also witnessed another customer come in and complain about a previous nail treatment, to which she was treated rudely and left the salon in a storm. Overall poor atmosphere and treatment.

I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had any sort of problem. I usually do acrylic nails but decided to try the dip powder nails. They were very expensive for what they were. The nail tech cut me multiple times and just shrugged it off as I was bleeding. Once the nails started to come off I had fungus under one of my nails. It is still growing out after about 2 months. Was unfortunately not impressed.

I am someone who doesnt trust bad reviews.. I was proven wrong! The guy who did my nails rushed through it when there was not ONE person in the salon and barely did anything. My tips are uneven and you can clearly see where my nails are grown out underneath of the acrylic HE PUT ON! At one point, I told him my nails were too sharp... he said hed fix it and then was pushing me to another guy to get the clear coat!

Ive been going to T Nails since they opened last year and used to really enjoy getting my pedicures there. They last 4 visits I have had I have been becoming increasingly more disappointed. Ive left and had to touch up a toe here to there or had to repeatedly ask for the water to be warmed because its ice cold but today was the last straw. My water was freezing, I ended up with nail polish all over the skin around my nails, the women was talking on her phone while doing my nails, and the bottom of my feet feel worse then when I went in. I told the person that was doing the pedicure that the toes looked bad but she just basically ignored me like I have been in the past. I wont be returning.

I was here to for a manicure for my wedding and I brought two of my bridesmaids with me. We all had to go and have our nails redone they were so bad. We paid a lot of money to have them done and we were very displeased with the final product. One of us actually had polish chipping off on the way home from the salon.

Best place ever to get your nails & such done. Ive been going there for awhile and they make me feel like family.

I would have given this place the 3 stars it deserves (which is what I expected for the prices), except that its been 3 days since my pedicure and my feet have developed a regular itching and stabbing sensation. Im fairly certain that something--probably the tools--wasnt cleaned properly beforehand. At any rate, I will NEVER go back to this place, and may never pay for another pedicure again. UGH.

They close 8PM, but they accepting my assistance at 7:40! I’m a hard working woman and I have trouble finding shops that will allow me to come in so late (def UNDERSTABLE!) but I was very happy they accepted me lol. The deluxe pedi was worth the money, and customer service was awesome! Definitely coming back !!

I had a really bad week and for a change I wanted to do my nails. I was so depressed for several days. I called beforehand to book an appointment but they told me its only walk-ins. When I came in the guy on the front desk told me its an hour wait and we can just check in when we come in again so my friend and I went to walmart to at least have something to eat since I was really tired. We went back in 30 minutes and this rude lady said that we should have never left and that its another hour wait. She was so rude and had this attitude. She then said wait 15 minutes im like okay. Then a lady and her daughter came and she kicked them out and said its an hour wait. I told them dont leave without writing your name down cz she did that with us before. Then they left and I recommended Looks Hair Design saloon downtown. Then another woman came in and I told her to not even bother ask cz she just kicked two people out and then this rude lady comes to the front desk and says its 15 minutes. When she did that I was like im leaving. I dont want service from rude people and I already have enough on my plate and Im never coming back until they change their staffs attitude.

I had a very positive experience when going for my first-ever pedicure. Helen, who owns the business, was friendly and charming; when I explained I was new to pedis, she graciously explained the steps as she performed them.The pedicure itself was very nicely done. I have to smile every time I look at my toes. Its been a week and there is no chipping. I had the $40 procedure, which included a paraffin treatment. VERY hot! But worth it. And she brought over the wax in individual baggies that she placed on my feet; much more hygienic than sticking my feet in a shared tub of old wax.There were a large number of polish colors to choose from, and several brands, including OPI, Essie, and China Glaze, as well as gel polish options.I would certainly get another pedicure here from Helen.

Didnt understand what I wanted then when we figured it out they took their time. The finished product looked awful. Ive been getting acrylic sets for years and this was by far the worst set I have seen.
