My wife and I had a great visit! We had issues with the previous business (manager and owner) at this location, so were glad our experience with Oasis was so good. We both had massages -- highly recommend!
Worst massage I’ve ever had. If you want to pay $100 for someone to rub a gallon of oil on you, then this place is for you. There was absolutely zero pressure. I spent the entire hour on my stomach. She wiped me off with a wet washcloth at the end! I have never in my many years of receiving massages ever had those thing happen. I’m very upset that I spent my well earned money here!!! I could’ve received a much better massage back home, in a true spa setting, for much less $$. T.Wray

I would give 0 stars if it was possible! My husband and I have been trying to get a refund now since the beginning of August! First they refused to give me the refund because he purchased it. So he went in later that same day, They refused to give him a cash refund ( even though he paid in CASH ), mind you even though they called the owner while I was there and my refund was approved, for some reason he needed to wait to speak with the owner who is based in Pittsburgh and He would call us. We NEVER received a call and weeks went by. Every time we called the location in state college where he purchased the product, they took my name and said they will have him return my call. Well I decided to call this guy myself. I found the number online and just so happen the owner was out of the country conveniently and would not be returning till the next week. Continuing to call him after the date he was supposed to be back in the office! I finally about a week later I finally received a call from this guy!!! He claimed that the check had already been sent out and verified my information. He claimed he would check where the check was mailed and take care of it asap......... Its been 3 weeks since then........ No check,No phone call, He wont return my call..... Absolute BS!! what kind place operates like this?!?!?!

Ive been going to see Shelby for several years just for pedicures. She does the best job and its always so relaxing. Now I see Shelby for pedicures, manicures and my hair. She is absolutely the best!
Friendly, competent pedicurists. Very nice facilities. I did honestly enjoy it more than where I normally go where its a bit more factory like. It was clean, smelled nice. Its more costly than the place Ive been going, but worth the extra cost.
I love this place. The best facials in state college. All the other professionals (massage, body wraps) really know what they are doing. The staff make me feel pampered and the facilities are clean and beautiful.
I ordered one of the most expensive Spa Day packages for my girlfriend. I paid for 2 day shipping for her gift receipt so she could book this package when she was able to spend the time. Her certificate was never delivered. I called 4 times attempting to figure out what was going on with this gift card, as it never got delivered, I ordered from the State College location. I had to call the Pittsburgh location for my phone call to be answered. The State College location took almost 3 full business days to return my call. They offered nothing to resolve this matter. So I asked for a refund. Nobody took fault for simply not sending this gift receipt. The owner, when I asked for a refund, said that when the gift receipt arrives, that it is void. It has been over a 1.5 weeks and nothing has been received. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. 3 full business days to return a phone call is ridiculous.
BEWARE!! Esspa issues tons of coupons and specials for big discounts on services--sounds tacky, but nice to save--right? Well, think again. The money you save is taken out of the technicians & stylists pockets, NOT out of management. Yes, the two-for-one massage, means that the masseuse gets HALF of what she would ordinarily earn on commission. I cannot support a business that tries to increase traffic by cheating its employees!
My experience at the spa was partially enjoyable. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. However, I also experienced a limited smile service minus my facialist/masseuse (she was a pleasure) on my spa package. The smiles only came at the end of my service when money was being received. I was interested in some facial products used in my facial, but no available product. The front desk took my information to call me when product ordered. With that being said, a month later still no communication pertaining to the status of my order. My interest in your spa is fading and I still have money left on my gift certificate. I can only provide myself this luxury 1-2 times a year, but still desire a business that appreciates my business and wants me as a customer. I would of appreciated some incentive for returning. For example, simply saying, hope to see you again soon or can we make a future appointment would of been appreciated. To end on a positive note, I think your salon has great potential in a good location, and a serene environment.Thank you for listening,CM

Shelby is absolutely amazing!!! Had my hair cut & colored and could not be happier with the end result. So friendly, thoughtful, and phenomenal at what she does. Can’t say enough good things about Shelby & esspa... already booked my next appt!
Very unreliable staff. They changed cancelled and then tried to change the time again 5 minutes from my arrival. In so very disappointed in this place. I cant recommend it to anyone with their double standards of the customer has to pay if the customer cancels within 48hours of the appointment, but they can change at the last minute and cancel the appointment!!!! In so very upset with this place.
Very efficient and friendly staff. I had a sugar body scrub and manicure. I didnt know I also recieved massage with the sugar scrub.Felt refreshed relaxed and pampered at the end of my experience.

Just had a wonderful and relaxing spa day. Wonderful service and such nice ladies. I had a massage, wax, hair, pedi and even lunch from the Inn brought over. Was a great experience, Ill be back for sure. :) Thanks for making my birthday spa day so special!!!
Several times I have made an appointment in advance, on account of my very busy work scheduled, to have it cancelled and no available appointments left to reschedule. I just had a conversation with a very rude receptionist, Beatrice. When I explained to her my concerns of my appointments repeatedly being cancelled with no options to reschedule, her exact words were: Life Happens. I dont think this is appropriate nor professional. I told her that I did not receive her message until Sunday and then the salon was closed all day Monday, so by they time I called to reschedule (still 9 days before the appointment), I was out of luck. She argued with me that she called me earlier and that her note said she called earlier. My phone has caller ID and a date stamp so one of us is wrong. Very, very rude.

Wow...had the most disappointing experience at ESSPA State College over the weekend. I used to go there all the time and Ive given them lots of business over the years, but my regular service providers have left one by one and so I do not frequent as much as I once did. I needed a manicure and a pedicure before I take a trip out of the country very soon and my regular manicurist is also away, so I made the appointments with ESSPA, whom Ive trusted before. When I met the provider and told her that I wanted gels on my toes, but not my fingernails she asked if I currently had gels on my toenails, which I did. She gave me this story it takes 30 minutes to remove gel polish and I needed to schedule additional time for that. I explained to her that When I made the appointment, the only thing asked of me was if I wanted a regular mani/pedi or Hungarian. I asked what the difference was and selected the Hungarian, for both hands and toes, which is the more expensive. AT NO TIME did ANYONE ask me if I had any gel polish to be removed on fingers or toes so they could schedule additional time. I told this to the provider on Saturday and I also explained it takes my regular manicurist 10 minutes to take off my gels with just some acetone, cotton and foil. I however did offer to have less done to the hands so we could accommodate the additional time for the toes. She then told me she had to speak to her manager and I should pick colors. When she returned, I was told she would not remove the gels from my toes because ESSPA didnt put it on, so they would not give me a pedicure at which point, I simply left the spa. Seriously, what professional spa/nail salon who knows what they are doing will not remove nail polish? I could have taken it off myself at home before I went into the appointment had I known this. If its an issue, then ESSPA should be asking the right questions when appointments are scheduled. While Im sure they dont care because I am only one person, I wont be returning.
Not Organic or a Spa. Many natural items have parabens and Aveda products have silicones, dimethicones, alcohol, and sulfates (not SLS but still salt). Just use John Masters Organics, they have none of that crap. The relaxation room is a living room beside the nail area. So you hear people talking, smell polish, and hear clipping of nails. You serve yourself water or tea. (They only asked when I was going to leave.) The massage room had the same banjo type music as the rest of the spa. It was NOT a relaxing mix of sounds like most spas. You couldnt change it. The changing room was super hot, the bathrobes were cheap terry cloth, the slippers you had to search lockers to find your size, many were just flip flops. The massage bed was hot, on a warm day, it looked damp, there was no relaxing oil fragrances and if you wanted it added to your oil you had to pay $5. A bottle of it is like $7 and you just mix it with the base oil. I can go to a spa and have the changing items laid out, my shoe size for slippers, and relaxation oils included for about $10 LESS per massage. When I told the front desk I wasnt happy, the lady that was to cut my hair was listening, smirking, and of course there is no privacy in this place so the customer heard as well. They both stared at me while I waited for her and I just ended up leaving about 15 minutes because they wouldnt stop looked at me. I decided Im not paying for her to mess up my hair because I wasnt happy with the spa.Unprofessional, NOT relaxing, NOT organic, and NOT worth half the cost at all. I wont go back even if I had a giftcard. Too bad considering I get massages monthly and a trim every 6 weeks.
