We have a new rescue who is VERY apprehensive about vets. She went to another vet practice in State College PA that is very good, but, they are way too corporate and forgot that animals and their people are nervous, anxious etc. Dr. Jamie Miller is amazing! She really knows so much--shares all the data from tests asap and in great detail. Most importantly too-she actually took time with us and cared about all of us. She has such a bubbly, friendly personality that it made some of these tests so much easier. The staff there is also amazing---Rachel must have answered 20 questions from me and did it all with professionalism, caring and in such a helpful manner. She is very calm and soothing. Kelly was also amazing, she knows how to talk to the animal and was diligent and caring. How about this---unlike the other practice that sent my doggie home in a less than desirable fashion--Kelly trimmed her toenails while she was sedated and took out some hair mats. The main thing about this practice--they LISTEN!!! And communicate back to you about any concerns. I would highly recommend this practice and please know Im a really fussy pet parent. thank you very much Dr. Jamie and your team!
I have been taking my puppy to University Drive Vet Hospital for nearly a year now. The staff here always go above and beyond. They are highly available and incredibly knowledgeable in their field. They’ve even been able to squeeze in time for my puppy in times of emergency when most vets probably wouldn’t have made the time. University Drive Vet Hospital has been the best veterinarian experience I’ve ever had, and I only hope to have such a good experience with other veterinary practitioners in our travels.
Best vet Ive ever been too! They are all so kind and caring. You wont go wrong by taking your pets here
They really took good care of our pet. They were very caring. Loved them and I strongly recommend them.
Dr. Lincoski and her staff were fantastic! They took great care of our new pups. Everyone was super friendly but professional. Staff was very knowledgeable, and Dr. Lincoski gives straightforward expert advice.
I brought my cat here for a full exam and will be coming back soon! We are both new to UDVH and we are both very pleased ☺️ Everyone I’ve spoke with who works here has been absolutely wonderful! Everyone is so kind and informative. Thank you for the great care!
Great vets and great staff. Very caring and always helpful. I would definitely recommend.
Amazing staff. They are compassionate and listen to owners. Im so glad I switched to University Drive Vet!
I find it very difficult to take my dogs to a veterinarian who insists they wear a muzzle during their visit !!Keep in mind we have very well behaved dogs, yet this lady insists that we give our dogs drugs that they offer to prescribe to keep them calm during their visit. once again we have very well behaved dogs and this is completely unnecessary.riddle me this ...why is it we take our dogs to Petco for nail trimming we have no problem at all, but yet our veterinarian cannot visit with them without insisting that they wear muzzles and take tranquilizers. I see reviews that other people have left complaining about the vet having their dog wear a muzzle. We also have been overcharged on our last two visits by $100 with testing and exams being added on that we were not asked about in advance or explicitly denied to have done. We have decided to not use this practice any longer and felt it necessary to share our experience. I actually had to ask this person to stop contacting me I was getting letters in the mail as well as emails it started to freak me out a little bit. to be honest ...our dogs are very sweet loving and well-behaved there was absolutely no reason to request muzzles or drugs..in all the years my wife and I have had pets we have never one time had a vet request that we drug them or put a muzzle on them. We have never had pets that bite or snap at anybody. I think it would probably be quite normal for a pet to be apprehensive or nervous in a new surrounding when their owners have to wait in the car during a pandemic. As previously stated, my wife was quoted a price on the phone for the services the last two times we took our pets to this practice. both times blood work as well as additional testing were added on at the end of the exam ...they were not approved!! My wife and I have never had a doctors office, vet, clinic, or a dentist office pull anything like this before. !! we are not interested in an ongoing battle with this practice we just wanted to share our experience .
The doctors and techs are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and were happy to answer all of my questions. My dog is very nervous around new people and they have been wonderful with helping him feel comfortable during his appointments. The care he has received here has been top notch.
I cant say enough about how responsive and professional UDVH is. One of my cats will be 20 years old in a month and has had excellent care here. One cat was a tiny abandoned kitten and a year later is a very big boy. My third cat was adopted with leg wounds and every conceivable problem but with attentive care he is happily coming through.
Weve had 2 Goldens and the vets and staff are second to none. I highly recommend UDVH for their service as well as their kind support near the end of our pets lives.
They treated Hodor well and service was good. They followed up on needed treatment for his wellbeing.
Very patient with my sometimes snooty dog who doesnt like being separated from her owner. Personnel very knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. Quality service.
I recently moved to Port Matilda and needed a new vet. My previous vet in the Philadelphia suburban area recommended University Drive Veterinary Hospital! I was very pleased with the outcome of my dog’s one-year checkup. The doctor and staff were very professional, quick but thorough, and treated my pet as their own. They answered all my questions and calmed my anxiety. I highly recommend this practice.
I am so thankful to have found this vet! We werent scheduled to come in with our newly adopted cat, Maisie, for another couple weeks, but after she started showing some discomfort and a stuffy sounding nose I got worried and called the vet. They were able to get us in the same day, and were extremely helpful, answering any and all of our questions (We had a lot). Thank you to Dr. Miller and staff for taking such good care of Maisie!
They insisted on putting a muzzle on my puppy that showed no signs of aggression and didnt value any of my input during the entire visit. I do not recommend this vet
I cannot speak highly enough of University Drive. Ever since I moved to the area, they have been reliable and positive while ensuring the continued the health of my pet. I fully trust them. They communicate very clearly and have been so helpful with my high-anxiety pet, and they go above and beyond to provide information and resources to make sure that my pet is taken care of. Please bring your pets here if you are looking for high-quality care in the area! Thank you all!
I love everyone. The girls take care of all my questions and phone calls with great patience. I trust everyone with my Lewis and he gets loving care. Dr. Sue and Dr. Miller are excellent. University Drive Vet has been taking care of my dogs for 20+ years. I think that speaks for itself!
I couldn’t be happier to have found these wonderful ladies! University Drive Vet is without the best veterinary hospital I have ever used. They are extremely caring and professional. I have never trusted anyone with my fur babies as much as I do with them 😻😻
UDVH is the best veterinary hospital around. We have been taking our two cats there for almost 10 years. They have provided guidance, support, and the best professional care we could ask for. They took every precaution cleaning our cats teeth who has a heart murmur. I cant recommend UDVH enough. Not only do they provide a great service, they are friendly and kind and willing to help and listen. If you live in the State College area, I highly recommend them for taking care of your furry family members!
Great Doctors and staff. I have been going here for more than 30 years and they have not changed. They care about every patient and make every visit as comfortable as possible for the pet and their owner. Highly recommend using UDVH if you are looking for a Veterinary health care provider.Dave Putnam
As a first time pet mom, I was beyond pleased with how Dr. Miller and the entire staff cared for my new puppy. They indulged every one of my many questions all while putting my nervous pup at ease. I am so happy they will be helping me take excellent care of my dog!
Great doctors, great staff! Very friendly and make Dennis very comfortable during his visits. Dennis has been visiting this office since we got him as a puppy. Highly recommended!
I cannot recommend this place enough. From checking in online to the appointment itself everything was extremely easy. The staff was very patient with my dog and managed his appointment anxiety very well.
If you want the combination of intelligence, skill, knowledge and compassion, this is the place. UDVH also merits high marks for versatility and taking action to move forward. When they saw I needed 24/7 accessibility for my cat, they changed to allowing 24/7 access to their own vet rather than forcing me to one of the less than optimal clinics. When I wanted to preserve DNA cells from my pet, they accessed the outside companys website and got it done. When I asked about autopsies, they made it yet another service. It would be hard for anyone to match this kind of dedication.
I love the staff here. They are kind, gentle, personable and very professional. They actually care for my little bulldog. He is not just a dog that needs shots or an exam. They know him by name and remember details about him from visit to visit. Awesome Vet service. I really appreciate these ladies!! Thank you!!
I began to come to Dr. Moss in 1977 with my Irish setter Clancy. He saved her life with emergency surgery after she was shot. She lived to be 16 years old. The staff has changed, but the standard of care and professionalism is still very high.I have refered University Drive Veterinary Hospital to numerous friends. I recently took my Manx cat, Billy Joe for check up and vaccinations and the low cost surprised me.
I began taking my dog here when I first got him as a puppy, and I am so happy with my decision. They treat him so well, and always answer any questions I have. I never feel rushed, either. I highly recommend UDVH!
The staff was all very nice. They made my first trip to the vet with my kitten easy and the first visit was free because I adopted!
I cannot say enough regarding how impressive this place is. As a first-timer, I made an appointment to establish a vet in the area and get my dog caught up on his vaccinations. We were treated so well by the entire staff, who were both helpful and understanding of the first-time nerves from both myself and my dog. Each question I had was met with genuine and honest advice or recommendations. The prices were extremely reasonable and there was not an ounce of pressure to opt into anything I was not completely comfortable with. I left confident in their care and I so look forward to bringing Charlie back. I would highly recommend University Drive Veterinary Hospital to anyone seeking a vet in the area! Kudos to the staff for their hard work and kindness.
They are greedy, venal people. I went there for about 3 years and the vet I saw retired. since then the care has gone way down hill. They wanted to charge me a thousand dollars to deal with a health problem my dog had and wanted it up front. After always paying my bill in full, they would not even consider payments even though they knew me. On top of that I was going to bring her back to another vet because the vet that had seen her did an inadequate and careless job. Very poor care and overpriced. I made an appt with another vet, they were seeing her for the same problem, instead of a thousand dollars it was 200.00 dollars. Would you say that that was overpriced and a con job. Disgusting! Trying to rip retired people off for $800.00.
For over 30 years I have taken my pets to University Drive Veterinary Hospital. Their commitment to excellence in the care of animals has been superior.Dr. Moss and Dr. Lincoski are brilliant. The technicians possess a very high degree of knowledge and share information in a professional and educated manner.Whether its a routine appointment or helping me with the last decision I have to make on behalf of my beloved animal, each and every staff member has demonstrated compassion and a genuine interest in my pets. It is obvious that they love their careers and most importantly, it is evident that this facility represents the very highest standards of medical care.
Dr. Moss gave excellent care of all nine of my dogs since the early 1970s . . . Fella, Flag, Fancy, Sable, Chloe, Gypsy, Graedy, Alex and Shiloh (I never had just one dog at a time). I came to rely on his knowledge, compassion, and good sense. I wish I had as much faith and confidence in my personal physicians! Now Jamie and Susan have taken over with Alex and Shiloh, and I feel that my boys couldnt be in better hands. The vet techs are terrific. I have known Liz and Chelsea for years and consider them friends. If I could, Id give the staff at UDVH 10 stars!
The whole staff is absolutely amazing! They are so patient and truly love the animals that come visit. Can’t recommend them enough!
Best vet in town!
Review from Paul & Karen Brown:We drive over 2 hours to take our dogs to Dr. Moss because we know the carethey receive will be first class. Our dogs are not only our pets andcompanions but are canine athletes competing throughout the US at thehighest level and we insist on the very best care for them. Dr Moss is notonly an outstanding Vet but competes in various AKC events with his owndogs. Mike knows dogs!!
Ive been taking my Aussie here since he was 3 months old, and Ive been continually impressed with their service. Everything is competitively priced, and the service is exceptional.
Definitely better than another place in town. Staff loves cats, and is very friendly.
We have been going to UDVH for about 13 years. Dr Moss, Dr. Lincoski and all of their techs & staff are just great. They have seen us through the lifespans of our pets. They are happy to welcome our new family members and mourn with us when our pets pass. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any concerns, from training questions to major illness & surgery. They have a wealth of information regarding just about any topic & we really value their opinions. It is always easy to get an appointment, They have emergency coverage arrangements after hours. Their prices are reasonable for the area. They are full service! The one thing that is so obvious every time we visit is that they have a genuine love of animals. It shows in every interaction with our pets,We are willing to drive 45 minutes for appointments because we trust them that much!
Both Dr. Lincoski and Dr. Miller are very helpful. They helped me with preparing documents for traveling and both of them were very knowledgable in preparation. The price is very very affordable. I called other practices and University Drive Vet offered lowest cost with a very high quality service. I would recommend this place if anyone is looking for a new vet. Friendly staffs are definitely a plus.
Friendly and caring vet practice
I have been a client at UDVH for 28 years and have such great feelings about the work and workers. Dr. Moss was the first person I met and became friends with when I moved here from Pittsburgh. I have had a lot of pets, mainly Pomeranians, that would not have such a long life if not for the talent that fills UDVH. I really appreciate Dr. Moss introducing me to dog agility. My one Pom, Kodiak Bear MXP2 MPJ2 and I have spent our best 5 years of our lives riding high on dog agility. UDVHs techs are so outstanding. They are well trained and friendly. When you walk into the door you have entered another family. A family of friends that love your pet almost as much as you do. The Best Veterinary Business in town.
The high quality of care from everyone at UDVH comes from their knowledge and dedication to animal health. But mostly, at UDVH, they just plain love animals. For nearly 20 years I have taken my pets to Dr. Moss and his staff, and now Dr. Lincoski has joined the hospital, bringing with her experience in many vet practices and having gotten her start at UDVH as a technician. For all these years, everyone at UDVH has given top-notch care to my dogs, from basics on through to chemotherapy to diagnosis and successful treatment of seemingly inexplicable ailments. The veterinary technicians not only give great information, they also lend sympathetic ear to pet owners who often are very emotional in the face of illness of their four-legged family members. They work extremely hard and are much appreciated by pet owners.UDVH has it all --- the doctors and staff have knowledge and experience as well as caring hearts. I trust them all completely and have greatly appreciated their expertise with all the dogs Ive had over the years as well as they understanding of me as an obsessively concerned dog owner.
