Absolutely disturbing this DEALERSHIP will pull your credit WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. Called in advance to make sure communication was clear and there was no need to pull credit. We agreed to they will write contract for our lender to streamline process and get purchase order.Upon finalizing and review of paperwork found they were deceitful and pulled credit. Nice truck but it was deal breaker. Not too mention smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. With asthmatics it was definitely no go. Dealership uses their cars as personal vehicles. Avoid wasting your time as they did ours.

I am revising my initial review of 5 stars. Employees are your best friend until they get your money. This company recommended an after market bumper to bumper warranty that costs me thousands of dollars and turned out to be a terrible fit for my truck. The first time I tried to use the warranty for an expensive repair I was denied the claim and had to pay for it out of my pocket. I was also without my truck for two weeks. I trusted Cougar Mitsubishi to recommend a good warranty that was the right fit for my purchase. They had originally told me that they had a good relationship with the warranty sales representative and that I should come to them if i had any issues. When I did go back to them for help all I got was the run-around each time I tried to discuss the problem with them. In the end I had to cancel the warranty and get a refund on the unused balance. I was only refunded a portion of the warranty purchase price. The repair cost me $2000.00. If they would have recommended the correct warranty then the repair would have been covered. I can no longer give this company a good review. I do not think they are trustworthy.

I went into Cougar Mitsubishi to check on a car listed in an on-line ad. It turned out the car had been sold a couple of days earlier but I was told there was one or 2 other similar vehicles on the lot I could look at. To make a long story short, Josh test drove 4 cars with me. I ended up with a 2016 Toyota Camry. There was no high pitched sales techniques used. The decision was made on my own - not coerced in any way, which I greatly appreciated. Based on the budget the dealership also worked very hard to find the best financing for me. The following week, after having turned in financial paperwork I didnt have initially, they were able to come back to me with the news that the interest rate could be substantially dropped. This was the smoothest car purchase transaction Ive ever experienced, and when I drove off the lot in the newer car, it was with a calmness Ive never experienced in purchasing a car. Thanks again gentlemen. Its been a pleasure to do business with you.
They do not care for their customers! I bought a 4runner back in January and since I have had nothing but trouble with it. Within a few weeks it needed over $3000 dollars in repairs, when i only had driven it maybe 200 miles. When I confirmed with Cougar Mitsubishi at time of purchase, if they had it inspected for issues, they claimed they did and that nothing was wrong. Some of the damage was pretty obvious, including a sabotaged electrical system that I had to replace. Wires were cut, and they told me it was to remove some accessories that the vehicle had before. Which caused the electric system of the vehicle to degrade and then needed to be replaced by me. The brakes were also bad at time of purchase. To the point that they were grinding into the rotor and i had to replace those as well. In short they sold me a vehicle that had no brakes on it. Seems to be a very unsafe practice to sell a hazardous vehicle to unknowing customers. When I contacted the dealer about these issues I was greeted with only hostility and rudeness from them. I have all of the emails saved. I even recorded the phone call that I had with them for anyone who ever tells me they buying from them I will have them listen to the rude and abrasive conversation I had with them. It even included the manager of the dealership. They claimed that because I bought a used vehicle that these issues would be expected. He then proceed to tell me that I should have gotten a warranty with the purchase of the vehicle. I then recalled that they refused to give me a warranty when I was in their facility signing the paperwork. They comped me $400 out of the $3000 dollars in damage. Since then I have had to put another $2000 in repairs from general use of the vehicle. Overall a terrible experience and would never recommend it to anyone. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
Excellent customer service. They dont hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy and comfortable. When they say they wont pressure you into a vehicle they truly mean it. I would definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.
These guys are so laid back, which is refreshing while looking for a new car. Not once was anybody pushy, and they created a calm and lax atmosphere from the first time I walked in the doors.Also, they dont believe in those pesky follow up calls/service emails. Or at least they dont seem to, which is so nice! To not be bombarded with a series of phone calls in the weeks and months after buying a vehicle is hard to come by, at least in my days.Only reason Im giving a 4 instead of 5 is because of a physical/mechanical issue with my car. Upon test driving and looking at the car I raised a concern with the cooling system and how it wasnt running properly. Their mechanic explained how the cooling system works, which I already knew, and said that there was nothing wrong, that thats just how it works.Two months later and Im still having lingering issues with it.Other than that I love my car and I feel great about buying it from a handful of helpful guys who know what theyre doing without being pushy about it.

Service was fantastic. My car keep leaving me stranded. Bonus was they were running a special for free diagnostics. I took my vehicle in and Paul in Service was quick to respond to the diagnostic problem found on my vehicle. The dealership did not have my part in stock but Paul went out of his way to get the part out of Salt Lake City to get the part and repairs completed the same day. Outstanding service. The thing I loved the most is they didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. It was a very streamline process. This is whats wrong, this is what it will cost, Would you like is done yes or no and that was it. Hassle free service. I would recommend anyone to take their car there for service. I got a screaming deal on a Hyundai Elantra. They were very helpful, not pushy, and came right up to help us when we drove up to the lot. They let us test drive on our own. They were very helpful, and John was especially great with us.
Second time coming here. Dont do it. They told me it would take a hour to hour and a half. Three hours later I finally told them I had to leave and go get my car. Just needed brakes fixed. Called the day before to make sure they were prepared for me.

My car broke and I sent an entire day in St. George trying to buy a Mirage and they wasted my time. With this being our first brand new car it was very important to keep our payment low since we have never paid one before. I spoke with Adam over the phone and Nick made an offer that made it worth driving 3 hours to Orem from Cedar City. Aaron was our sales consultant and he was great. He didnt bug us with his ideas of why this car would be good while we were test driving. Aaron was so nice and understanding with all my questions and requests since I had a ton because this is my first new car. Nick held to what he said and gave us a very awesome price on a brand new 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage. The best part of the day was when they came back with my payment being less then what I asked for. I am so happy that I have a brand new car with a payment thats not going to kill me. I love my new car it drives great and it is so nice inside with all the features. Im putting four stars only because of how John handled what could have been a very hard situation. I wont go into all the details but I wanted to recognize John who sold me the truck, and then afterwards during a complicated repair situation was absolutely stellar with communicating with me and making sure I felt like I was being taken care of. It would have been so easy for John to just stop communicating with me and let me deal with the fallout. Instead he showed me so much empathy and care. At the end of the day this was not an ideal transaction. That being said, John was the saving grace for this dealership and he deserves all the credit for this turning out the best it could. My experience with Cougar Mitsubishi this week was excellent. Bud was the salesman--fine job with no problems. Rich is the new manager (been there three weeks but has 30 years in the business) and he was very professional. John assisted me with several issues and was great as well. Everyone was personable and helpful. They gave me a very good trade-in deal on a car that I had recently purchased at Young Chevy in Layton. I will not ever go back to Young Chevy but I will recommend Cougar.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!Thought we were getting a GREAT deal on a Jeep! Was told it was in awesome condition with no accidents or previous issues. Took it to our mechanic... and was blown away! Whole driver side had been replaced, rear end was replaced, Transmission codes had been cleared, body welds are already cracking, And we were sent on a test drive with the gas light on. Was so excited to go see these guys based on the positive reviews. If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. SO GLAD I DID NOT BUY FROM HERE!

Well I have never had nor did I expect a car dealership experience like this. I went in with a trade, I knew what I wanted for it but didnt expect to get it. I also knew and told my sales guy the range of payment that I wanted. A high and a low, I assumed that no matter what that I let the cat out of the bag and would get the high. Then they did not secure financing right away, they let me drive away in the car and I left my jeep, four days went by and still havent. I thought oh great, here is when they sell my jeep and screw me over then I got a call to come in. I was ready for the battle, they gave me what I wanted for my Jeep, they got me a payment that was the low end, plus they gave me a two-year warranty. I was so blown away I was speechless, I tried hard to hide my smile but Im sure my grin was ear to ear. Who does that? They had a chance to take advantage of me and their integrity shined through! I will buy from them again.

No haggling necessary as they more than met our expectations of what we were expecting for our trade in to knocking off additional money on the sale of the new vehicle over and above the sale price originally given. The whole process took less than an hour. As a bonus theyre giving our daughter a 100.00 check for a referral as her and her husband bought two cars from them a week apart about a month ago. This past summer I went in to test drive a new car and get a trade-in value on my old car. What a positive experience! The sales people were information driven vs pushy and really cared about my needs. Not only did they offer the fairest trade-in value, they also helped me to see I could wait to buy since that big repair I was told I needed by another dealer---just wasnt there at all. Our experience was actually at their lot at 565 N State, but we can here to sign everything. We had a good experience. They negotiated fairly. They were very helpful and courteous. They worked with us on a few things we wanted done. Overall, we got a fair deal. It that Ill be in the market for a car again anytime soon, but Id go here first when I am.

I cannot say enough about Jon and Rich. My wife and I traded in our Saturn Vue for a newer/better gas mileage car. Rich who is the manager stayed late that night doing the paper work. Went the next day to finalized everything. They added an electronic lock/unlock key system for me at no charge and fixed the passenger window that would not work. These guys go out of their way to help you and their willingness to roll the red carpet out for a used car was awesome. I will be going back to Rich on my next purchase
I took my 11 Lancer Sportback in for an oil change a couple months ago. Paul at the service counter is friendly and took the time to tell me about some warranty items that they did while they had my car. The pricing is fair, the quality is great, and I loved the free car wash at the end. Will definitely be taking my car there for all future service.

Would avoid this place at all costs. Misdiagnosis of a repair resulted in a $1700 loss. After multiple visits for what should have been warranty work which didnt solve the problem, we finally had our mechanic tell us how to tell their mechanic to diagnose the problem so it could be fixed. In the meantime, we had $1200 of unnecessary work done, and paid for 2 weeks rental car. They did offer us $200 store credit for their mistake. Big of them.
First, weve had a Montero Mitsubishi that now has 319,000 miles on it and it still runs great! Its a 20 year old car and is still awesome! I went into Cougar Mitsubishi and talk about rolling out the red carpet, wow, they were so wonderful when I bought my car, I went back two days later and bought another one for my Husband! Rich, John and Bud treated me like family! I will always buy from them!!!!

The only place I will get my oil changed! The staff is so friendly and efficient and the waiting area is nice and clean. They even have a kids play area with toys and a tv. Also, theres free hot chocolate.

Terrible experience. I completely agree with the last reviewer that the owner, Bill, lacks any sort of customer service skills and makes you never want to do business with them again. We traded in a truck for an 05 Subaru Forester and paid $1200 in addition to the trade in. I wasnt overly thrilled with that deal since the bluebook on my trade in was more than that on the Subaru already, and I was putting down another $1200, but figured we would have a car that gets good gas mileage, and thought since we were buying from a dealership instead of a private party, we would be buying a car without any glaring issues...were we ever wrong. Firstly, the salesman wouldnt stop talking the entire time we were test driving and trying to listen to the vehicle, which was extremely distracting, especially since the conversation had nothing to do with the car. I noticed oil on the oil pan and asked about any oil leaks, at which point the salesman assured me that all cars go through a thorough inspection and that no oil leaks were found. I feel ignorant for trusting him now, but this was my first time buying a used car at a new car dealership, and I suppose I had a false trust that buying a used car that has been inspected at a dealership is any better than purchasing from a private party. The car had just shy of 103k miles and these cars need a timing belt changed at 105k miles (as recommend by Subaru) which I was aware of prior to purchase. I should also mention that the oil was WAY over filled and I had to drain oil out to get it to the proper level. We were traveling with the car and got it up to the 105k mark within a couple weeks and took it to a Subaru dealership to have the timing belt changed. The dealership informed me that the there was a significant leak coming from the head gasket, one that could not have just started in the last 3000 miles (this was the oil that I saw before buying the car). They also found some other issues that I feel would have been found during an inspection and taken care of before selling the vehicle but Cougar Mitsubishi failed to mention and did not properly service the vehicle before sale. So, I called Cougar and they said I would have to bring it back to them for them to look at it, which was extremely inconvenient because we were in WA and live in CO, but we stopped by on our way back. I first spoke with the owner, Bill, who was immediately confrontational and condescending toward me. He told me that the inspection they perform is only to see that the vehicle passes state requirements, not the detailed inspection as was mentioned by the salesman. He told me that this was the risk I was taking when buying a used vehicle. I retorted that had I been informed that there was an oil leak that would cost me $2400 to fix, I would not have purchased the vehicle in the first place, and I wouldnt have driven from Colorado to look at it had I been told the truth beforehand. He basically told me if they fixed the issues with the used cars they wouldnt make any money. He also stated that the oil leak (despite the fact it will cost me $2400 to fix) is not a big issue because the car is able to run fine right now. So, I guess in his view, I should just avoid the issue and wait until the engine blows rather than fixing it. I asked if he felt good about selling a car with such a glaring issue and not taking car of the problem. He then asked me if I felt good about asking for my money back, as if I had done something to screw him. His service guys looked at it and said the leak was coming from a cam seal, I took it to another Subaru mechanic and they told me, as the Subaru dealership did, that it was a significant leak from the head gasket, not the cam seals. I guess this dealership is fine with selling lemons and then not doing anything to make it right. I would definitely not recommend buying a used vehicle from them, and because of the rotten customer service that followed, I wouldnt recommend doing business with then at all.

Had $1,600 in repairs in first 12 months of owning the car. Sold me an even worse auto warranty. I left over 10 messages for two different employees and never received a call back. Worst experience ever

Theyve been really good to me so far. Except they offered to wash my car when i got my recall fixed and an oil change...and the windows were still filthy along with the backside.

I recently visited Cougar Mitsubishi to look at their new Outlander Sports. The vehicle was awesome. I loved its handling and impressive features. As much as I was impressed with the Outlander Sport, I was even more impressed with the way Cougar Mitsubishi does business. The entire sales team treated me and my young daughter well. The salesman was courteous and helpful, and the sales manager was informative but not pushy! He worked with me directly, so there was no back and forth. He showed me multiple options, and when I told him that I was not ready to purchase a car same day, he handed me all the paperwork which included the numbers and said, Come see me when you are ready. I cannot remember another time that a dealership treated me as a customer with so much respect. I look forward to doing business with these guys in the near future.
Really bad service. They dont care about serving your car or selling you anything. Theyre always empty for a reason. Ive been twice and yet to find an employee who cared about any concern I had. I drive further to go more competent Mitsubishi dealerships.

First time car buyers come here! They go above & behond to make sure you drive away in your dream car. I recommend going to Mike Anthony he was super nice and helpful answered all of my questions. Awesome. Couldnt describe my experience any other way. They are thoughtful and considerate also they work with people, whats not to love?

They communicate well with the customer so the customer fully understands what is going on and then after the purchase of the vehicle they continue to make sure that the customer is satisfied and do all they can if any issues arise

First guy we talked to was way nice! But when we started negociatiging about a car that was 1000 bucks over Kelley blue book value he took us back to talk with his boss who was super rude and wouldnt even drop 500 bucks for a car that had bald tires and paint chips all over.
We came from Layton to Orem to just look at a super sweet F350.Drove home that night in a F350.The guys stayed late, made a deal happen easy, so easy it seemed like chatting with two of my buddies, then we drove the truck home. Rich and Bud, great and HONEST no BS, just real guys, normal talk, friendly as can be.Came back the next day to finish the finance paperwork, took about 10 minutes, again very honest, friendly.Hooked up with these guys on FB to stay in contact and send more business this way, zero hesitation!!!The question is not if you should buy here, but why would you not buy here!
