The receptionist was really helpful and went out of her way to set up haircuts for both me and my sister last minute, day of. Fabiola was our stylist and she did a fantastic job on both of us. I came in with hair bleached a total of 6 times and at least 3 different tones/shades on my head so my hair was in rough shape. She had the woman washing my hair(I didnt get her name but she was really nice and was gentle with and took good care of my hair) use a blue shampoo to get the brass out and after the deep conditioning treatment and the haircut my hair was soft, strong-looking and as even-toned as it was possible to be. My hair feels light and gorgeous and I love it

I tried this very clean and professional salon for the first time beginning of 2021. Was not disappointed! I have been back every week for a wash & blow style with dong Le. My hair is very difficult to blow dry, due to the texture & even the best stylists have tried and failed. Dong Le knew just how to do it! My hair turns out perfect every week! This is a very sterile environment. They take every safety precaution, actually going above and beyond! Thank you, positive image!

Cecelia is a hair dresser who works in the Positive Image Salon and is not a professional person and we will never return to her after she did not cut my sons hair correctly and then argued with me about fixing it. She was full of attitude and disrespectful blaming my absence from the original haircut. I was unable to attend and my husband noticed the bad haircut when he got home. I plan to look for another salon based on this one experience with a rude person. I also now need to pay someone else to fix my son’s hair. This has been an extremely disappointing experience.

Staff is very friendly and professional. Evelyn cut my hair (was halfway down my back and I wanted to go with a pixie cut), I had pictures of what I wanted done and she referred back to the pics as well as asking my opinion for various aspects. Salon does a great job of following social distancing protocols too.

I desperately needed a cut after the lockdown was finally lifted and my regular stylist was not in. I saw Dong Le and she gave me a wonderful cut which left me feeling human again. This shop, tucked away in an unassuming strip center, is a gem. I have been going to Positive Image over 12 years and would not consider going anywhere else. My stylist, Sherri Weaver, is a master with color and is always well trained and informed on the best products, color processes, and cuts. Sherri really takes the time to have a conversation to understand what I am trying to achieve and has more than once talked me out of a great idea that would have been a disaster had I gone through with it! I made the mistake of going to 2 different hair stylists in Rehoboth Beach, since our plans were to move there, and my hair became very dry and brittle. Ive never been loyal to a hairdresser until I found Rebeca! Since the first time she cut my hair I was so happy with it I knew Id have to go back. I have long hair and anyone with long hair knows how scary it can be to go for a trim and leave with inches off by accident- this has never happened. She asks exactly what I want and then does exactly that. Definitely check this place out.

Cecilia did an great job on my cut and style. I have very frizzy hair and, since she specializes in that hair type, she made it straight and smooth just the way I like it. Most hair stylists style it in a way that looks very poofy but Cecilia knew how to handle my hair. I recommend her.

The hairstylist Helen was completely rude and disrespectful. I’ve never had a worse hair cut in my life. My hair was uneven, color wasn’t saturated, the only good thing about my visit was a peppy little shampoo girl named amy, who really helped turn around my visit.

I recently moved back to Virginia and needed to find a new salon. I love to get my hair dyed, but it can easily get brassy or turn shades of green and gray. After looking at a TON of reviews, I chose another local place. I gave it three chances (of giving me gray undertones) and moved on! Thats when I found Positive Image and Nam! Nam listened to me and gave me my first balayage and a new haircut. Since then Ive had nothing but great experiences! Everyone is very friendly and when I cant remember what type of color I need (balayage or color) the girls at the front desk will look it up for me. Let me start by saying this salon has some of the most genuine stylists you will ever come across. Ive known Rebecca for about 3 or 4 years now and a few others there including the owners and some of the front desk staff and they are all great. Rebecca has always made sure to give me her honest and most professional opinions in respects to my hair and ALWAYS makes sure we are keeping it healthy and cute! I have been trying to go blonde for a while now and though it has been a process, patience is key and we are finally getting there. the results are beautiful, i %100 trust her with my hair and i dont think id be comfortable going to anyone else at this point. a huge shout out to Segan and her staff at the front desk for the outstanding customer service, Donald and Rita for bringing this wonderful salon to us, Rebecca and all the amazing stylists there who truly let their passion shine through when working with clients hair. highly recommend!

Well I have been going here for quite some time about 5 years to be exact. Fabiola has been the only time doing my hair and I have loved it most of the time the time before this she didn’t like the fact that I told her I was not happy with my hair so I went to frizzles ( they are great but can be very pricey) So I decided I would give Fabiola one last chance and boy do I regret it. I usually pay no more then $220 with a tip to do my hair.Well my last visit here in October she decided to charge me $360 with tip I paid over $450 her excuse was that she had to bleach my hair 3times because she was NOT holding the bleach in my hair for more then 15 minuets ( usually she holds the bleach in my hair for 45 minuets and it works just fine) It was my nieces first birthday I was already running late and I didn’t have time to deal with this at that time . So that night I decided to send her a text to see if there was a mistake she was not Pleasant at all when I brought it up to her attention. I am giving this place 1 star for the poor customer service and rude front desk receptionist. Being an existing client of Cecilia, I called late afternoon Friday to make an appointment for my highlights. First of all, the front desk receptionist kept on saying if I do not want to have my hair blow dried (for which they charge $45), I would have to leave salon with wet hair. Second of all, she asked me to pay a deposit of $115 for my future appointment since I cancelled with them twice. I explained that I gave them 24 hours notice for my first cancellation and I had to cancel the second time due to having a bad cold. That did not seem to matter due to the salons policy. Having myself worked as a dental hygienist in several dental offices, I must admit the clients do get sick and do cancel their appointments, but dental offices do not make their patients pay deposit of $115 for cancellations. I have always considered going to public places sick and spreading germs was not a good thing, but seems like it does not work that way for Positive image salon.

I am from out of town, but live here 2 to 3 weeks at a time. I went to Positive Image yesterday because I needed a highlight and couldnt wait 2 more weeks until I got back home. I look up their website and see that a partial highlight starts at 70.00, and they had a great website so I assume they are good at what they do. I have long hair so I was expecting to be charged more. Usually its 10 to 20.00 more for long hair. Lily, I think was her name, highlights my hair and sends me to be shampooed. After the shampoo, I sit and wait....and wait. The stylist had another client. I was new there so I didnt know what to do.After waiting 30 minutes or more she finally asks me if I was done being rinsed. Then she takes me back to her chair for a blow dry. She blow dries and round brushes my hair and Im done. I go to check out and she tells the front desk 130. Keep in mind ALL I had done was a patrial highligh...no cut. I ask what the additional 60.00 was and they tell me for the cut. But I didnt have a cut. So the lady talks to Lily and comes back and tells me its for the blow dry. I said, it cost 60.00 for a blow dry? Do most people come in here and get a highlight and leave with wet hair? So she tells me the pricing is a la carte. I can understand that, except how do you check the color without blow drying it?Then the front desk girl tells me low lights and flat ironing cost more too. But I didnt get low lights and I actually asked her not to flat iron other than the cowlick in the front that was sticking up. So they ended up charging me 100 instead of the 130 since I literally had no other services at all.Im making this a 2 star instead of a 1 bc I actually do really like my hair. Its just really sad that they tried to charge me for so many services that I didnt have. I would have had no problem at all paying the 130 if I had actually had all of the things done that they tried to charge me for. The even more sad thing is that I doubt Ill go back because of the attempted rip off. I would have loved to have found a stylist here I could continue to come to when Im in town...but I dont want to have to haggle with dishonest people like this.So buyer beware. Make sure you actually receive the services they try to charge you for.
