Just called to try and get a quote and the guy with the deep voice who answered the phone could not have been more of a pr1ck. He got angry when i asked him to repeat himself and then even angrier when i said i didnt have an account i just needed to return another employees call. Dont waste your time with these assh0les
This team was amazing! From first contact to completion, they were attentive and professional. Charlie made sure all of our questions were answered and Craig was absolutely amazing in not only fixing our system but also just being a very personable tech! Thank you for such outstanding service!
Didnt go there. I went to somewhere else. You are misinformed
This is a great service. Whenever my old computer was giving me problems these guys always were available and capable of resolving the issues.
They place is closed due to covid19...Call gets routed to portland
River, the associate on duty today (11-25-19) was a great help, we are a Houston, TX base company up here for business when our (4 or 5 month old computer) decided not to boot up anymore ( Repairing disk error). We stopped by Best Buy, just for them to tell us 4 or 5 days to look at it. So Google here I come, I found Nerds On Call and was told to bring it in and he would try to help us. The hard drive is failing, but River was able to help us move some of our VERY IMPORTANT files over to our external hard drive so we would not lose this important information. I hope I never have to use them again, but if I need computer work again when in the area will definitely go back.. thank you again
What could be better than perfect? Capable, honest, nice, fast! I DO love my Nerds!Needed MORE HELP. This time magnificent KYLE from Portland! This wonderful guy would NOT QUIT until he solved my many problems with this old computer. I will HAVE to soon get a new one. Kyle is determined, very able and nice! We are so lucky to have him!!!
Donavan was very efficient and effective today. I have much more peace of mind now. Thank you. I almost always get good help. They are better than they used to be when I started with them a few years ago.
The service was good, no issue with the work done. However, when checking out I was told of a 30 day online service offer. What I was not told was that this would auto-renew for $25 a month after the 30 days. Their work is fine, just watch the paperwork and ask if there are continuing charges. The service person DID NOT make this clear, and I think thats just shoddy customer service. I called on the phone to remove this charge and they said they called me to remind me of the renewal. If they ever did call, they did not leave a message. Their phone help was nice and I think everything has been cleared up but I will be watching my account statements.
PERMANENTLY CLOSED.Storefront was impossible to locate, seeing as it is next to a hotel. Upon finding it, the signage was torn down, the insides gutted, and clear that business has been closed for at least a few months.
I have used Nerds on Call for a few years. I would NOT consider my business complete without a subscription to the service. Ive been 100% pleased with every situation I call on them for. I highly, highly recommend them.
Please dont go here. I brought in my Mac, which had a dent over the charging port, which made it hard to connect the charger to the laptop. When I brought in I asked for a quote. The guy took my laptop, said it needed three new parts, which would cost me hundreds of dollars. He (without my permission) entered me in the system as a customer, and held out his hand and asked me for my debit card. I asked why he needed it, and he said that to look at my laptop he needed a small deposit. I questioned him further and he very reluctantly told me that he was trying to get a $79 deposit that was non refundable and would apply to the cost of labor to repair my device. I politely asked for my laptop back and said I would have to think about it. He got upset at this, and told me that he had entered me in the system already, so I took my device and left. I brought it to mac tonic, they had my device fixed in three days, and it only cost me $50. they were honest, straightforward, and super helpful. Nerds on Call are scam artists who capitalize on the public being generally ignorant about technology.
Rick of Nerds on call deserves all of the five stars. He was kind, caring about my (in) ability to access difficulties between my printer and computer. He helped me to better understand various other operating functions of what I could use to make the computer a more useful tool.
You guys are awesome. I have had your service for 10 tears or more and you have never let me down. Quick, prompt and professional service. Extremely polite and answer every question in a language that I can understans.
Jeremy at the Eugene location walked me through every step of my computer repair which consisted of a new graphics driver and two new hard drives. He was extremely helpful and attentive to any and all of my questions I had for him. Bottom line is that these guys get the problem solved right, quickly. I will definately use them next time any Tech issues arise.
The staff is always prompt in responding and clear about any necessary wait. They are knowledgeable and friendly and never critical of questions or concerns. They have come to my rescue many times and its nice knowing that I can contact them whenever I need help.Allen Johnson
I dont know how I would manage without my nerdly friends. I have had a computer for about 15 years and am delighted to be able to keep in touch with friends, (and grandchildren) Tho most of my friends who in their 80s, too, dont have a computer. I need a tutor I guess. And that is exactly what Robert S. did for me today. Luv U all!

He was patient and caring, and we are Happy to give Rick Kudos as well !!!We Highly recommend Nerds on.Call !!!
I dont know what I would do without this service! they have saved me so much money, and I love that I never have to take my computer into a shop. They will help with everything, even things like my picture programs. I get my moneys worth and then some! Lois H
Brought a new pc in to be finished, had problems with hdmi hand shake, they coulldnt solve it but the only tech there does do good basiic work.
UPDATE 10/31//2018:Shortly after I posted the negative review below, I was contacted by a manager (Roman in Portland) who offered me a full refund of my $179 - in exchange for removing my review.Thats right, in exchange for removing my honest review of my experience with this company, he offered to give me the refund that they should have given me to begin with, but flat-out refused to until I gave them a bad review on Google+ where everyone could see it. At no time did he offer to refund my money because it was the right thing to do; he ONLY offered a refund in exchange for removing my negative review.Call me crazy, but that felt an awful lot like coercion to me.Per my dictionary:coerce1. to dominate or control, especially by exploiting fear, anxiety, money, etc.So the end result is that when push came to shove, I had to push and shove by writing a bad Google review in order to get the refund which I was rightly due and which I should have received 6 days ago.For absolute clarity, I DID ultimately get a 100% refund of my $179 but I will never use this company again.***********************ORIGINAL POST FROM 10/24/18:THESE GUYS ARE AN ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! TOTAL SCAM! DO NOT USE!This place charged me $180 for doing nothing and then tried to upsell me to $2000!I had a hard drive die. I called this place to see if they could do data recovery. The dispatcher I spoke to (Gabe) quoted me $79 for “diagnostics” or $179 for “data recovery”. Since I needed data recovery, I opted for the $179 service. I asked when I could go in and he checked the schedule, said they had nothing lined up that day and I could go over immediately. After I arrived, I commented on how the place was so quiet and the tech told me it was a slow day.In retrospect, that was a HUGE red flag. I should have left and went to Best Buy right then.I told the tech (Violet) I really needed this done today (this was at about 11am). She offered me “priority service” for an additional $69. I said “both you and your dispatcher told me you don’t have any other work lined up for today – why should I pay an extra $69 for priority service when I’m the only thing you’re working on?” She smiled uncomfortably.Four hours later she called me and said she plugged my hard drive into their machine, it gave 5 beeps which told her the drive was dead so she unplugged it and she did not recover any data. She then offered me “forensic data recovery” and quoted me a price of up to $2000!I told her no and asked if I could get a refund of the $179 I paid for data recovery since she didn’t recover any data. She said no. I asked if she would change it to the $79 diagnostic fee since all she did was plug it in and “diagnose” what I’d already told her - that the drive was dead. She said no again. I said “so you’re telling me I paid you $180 for doing nothing more than telling me what I already knew?” She said that was their policy. She then said she could do a “tune-up” so I wasn’t leaving empty-handed.Turns out the “tune-up” consisted of exactly 3 things: 1). emptying the recycle bin 2). deleting some temporary files and 3). running a registry checker. Incidentally I routinely do all 3 at home for free! And for that I was charged $179! Evidently everyone in the Eugene/Springfield area already knows this place is a total scam, which would explain why I was their only customer that day.Live and learn I guess.I left there and drove down the street to Best Buy. I told their Geek Squad the same thing I told Nerds on Call; I have a dead drive and need to see if the data was recoverable. The Geek Squad tech said “have a seat; this will only take a few minutes” (not four hours). 4 minutes later he came back and said “we tried 3 times on 3 different machines. First 2 we got nothing. The third one we could hear it spinning but couldn’t read anything. Sorry man, but we can’t help.”And for that, Best Buy charged me a whopping $0!NERDS ON CALL TOTALLY SUCKS! AVOID THEM!
Work continues tomorrow. All help these last 2 days and in previous sessions has be good. It often takes a long time, but the job gets done. With a day passing, I received a call from Kyle out of Portland, asking if he could help finish up with my e-mail problem. With 30 minutes it was done.Thank you all who helped. Much appreciated.
I always get great support from Nerds on Call .Today, Christian was exemplary: courteous, professional and dedicated to solving my problem. He could have said, Theres no problem with your computer if you dont know how to burn a DVD of photos. But instead he showed me how to do it!
My iMac had a broken receptacle for the earphones jack. Another repair shop had failed to fix it, and so did NOC the first time, and I gave up getting it permanently fixed and ordered a pair of bluetooth cordless headpones.. So why do I sincerely give them 5 stars? Basically, they do far more and do it with respect, patience, and clear credible explanations. They scrubbed the software of malware, updated the operating system, gave me some extra software, and suggested I switch from my mechanical hard drive to a solid state drive. The result was speed that Ive never experienced before with that iMac. Wonderful! And Violet did a creative fix to the headphone receptacle, anyway, with the warning that it may always be fragile. Compared to two other repair shops I have used over the years, Violet demystifies the black box of what goes on in repair . She has the gift of acting as if she has all the time in the world to answer questions. And she can make complex things clear.
Evan is a genius. He guided me through the process of converting my PDF documents into ms Word. That enables me to write another book. I would not have able to do even the first step on my own. Jeremy helped me establish a password with Adobe that I had spent hours trying to do with India on the line and getting nowhere. What the two of them did for me this morning is worth a year of my subscription to the NERDS. Yeah, NERDS! You guys and gals are great.Service always prompt, accurate and efficient. This morning, especially, Jeremy cleaned up and sped up my entire computer. I have been a NERDS fan for years.I big change from Firefox to Chrome. Faultless and quickly done. What I like best about NERDS is I can ask anything, even dumb questions for those who know computers and they always respond positively and quickly. I could not use my computer without them. Yeah for NERDS!
Rick helped me for the past several days + many times before and he is just fabulous to work with. And he gets things fixed. Lots of patience.
Fixed my computer by replacing a bad hard drive and it was completed promptly and efficiently. They backed up everything that I needed from my old drive and transferred what I needed onto my backup with no issues or extra costs. They even kept my data on hand for a few weeks at the store just in case I forgot anything. Would use Nerds on Call again if I had more computer issues.
Great! reliably these folks have been incredibly helpful. and... they dont make me feel like a total idiot in the process! I cannot think of any time I have called when they havent been able to solve my problem.
We appreciate all the work that the Nerds have and are doing for us with our new computer. Always there is a new learning curve and they are helping us through that. We would be in a world of confusion without them. Thank you, Nerds!!
I worked with Brian T today. Great guy, fixed my problem and installed a new anti virus that I needed.Great Job as usual.
I cant express enough gratitude for Nerds on call. The techs had been very patient with my questions and helping me with my problems and understanding how some programs work. Today I had the pleasure of working with Christian A.
I love working with Nerds. Whenever I have a PC problem, they are quick to assist and always get it fixed for me. Needed help finding a program that had gone missing and Jeremy V got it right back for me! So appreciative!!!!
Thank you Raymond for listening to my concerns I appreciate it. It has renewed my faith in your company.
I paid them $195 to move the parts from one computer to another, and they got the fix wrong and almost burned my motherboard. I then was told that it took more than 30 days for me to check their work and so I have to pay another $195 for them to fix it again. Started with one working computer, left with two broken computers for the value of $195. Pretty much as terrible of a computer repair experience as they come. Make sure to double (triple) check they dont break your stuff too!
Wow fast and very good, Jay came on and got my CD to play, awesome job and very fast, very polite man, Thank you so much Nerds for having people like Jay working thereE.P Or.
I am able to ask questions about updates which I appreciate so that I dont get into some kind of situation that gets me in trouble. I appreciate this service!
These Guys and gals are absolutely Wonderful. I am a contractor with a 9th grade education the only reason I have a computer is because I have to. When things go wrong I dont have a Clue. Well worth the money. Thanks Nerds!!Kevin

John C. was very good with handling my computer issue.5 stars +.JaY D. was great.
Weve used Nerds on Call for several years now. Best idea ever for maintaining and debugging our two Windows laptops.
Russell helped me diagnose a hard drive failure on my laptop. He spoke to the folks at Dell and Costco on my behalf. He even helped me gather the necessary info for having it repaired under warranty (all under the free estimate they promised). Will definitely be calling Nerds with my next computer issue. Thank you.
Love my nerds. Always very satisfied with the help they give
It is such a relief to be able to have Nerds check out what is going on with our computer, clean it up and get us going again, It is so frustrating to run into these road blocks and to know who to trust to fix things. Those people from India or where ever are so sneaky. Thanks Jeremy and everyone that has been there for us thru the years.
Prompt service. Interaction is positive. I recommend Nerds.
Autumn was very helpful in checking out an apparent scam. Very reassuring. Thank you.
William Safire said Only in grammar can you be more than perfect. Im here to say Autumn is Nerds On Call pluperfect extraordinaire with knowledge, intelligence, professionalism, patience, and a sense of humor.
GEEK ROBERT S. DID AN EXCELLENT JOB IN REPAIRING MY SOUND ON MY LAPTOP HP PAVILION D7R. HATS OFF TO ROBERT S. OF NERDS
I needed our computer cleaned up and Kyle did an excellent job on Fri. 11-10, then on 11-11 I wanted to use my EBATES, discovered it had been disabled by mistake, Jeremy fixed it for us and we are up and shopping again ........ Thanks so much Nerds, You guys & gals are great !!!
NERDS has been providing my computer for over 5 years, the best!
Absolutely wonderful! Made my stress much easier.
I love my Nerds! They save the day for me time and again!
Look out for sneaky charges. They eventually fixed my computer after several miscommunications and additional charges that I was assured wouldnt happen. Not everybody that works for them has the same information. Also, when you sign their invoice they will automatically sign you up for a monthly service that will bill the card you paid with. Beware, they will bleed you dry...
I am so pleased with Nerds On Call. We have their service plan and they are ALWAYS prompt, efficient, thorough, and friendly. Whether my needs are major (virus problems) or minor (annoying reminders & popups) they are glad to help!
We have always received excellent input and suggestions from NERDS
Laptop wouldnt turn on. Violet diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly. But dont follow GPS for directions. Store is on Harlow, not Pheasant.
Computers can be so very frustrating at times. Thank goodness that the nerds are there to help.

These guys (gals) are the best! Always get the job done in a professional manner and when you call them with a problem they get right on it.
Nerds always solves my problems without making me feel like a complete idiot. I love them!
Excellent. Got help right away. Thanks, Justin
Regret to choose this store. True blood sucker. Wasting time, work pace is slow, and acting like amateur. The need to spend 2-3 days to find out my laptop have motherboard problem without knowing what the exactly problem is while I already known it when my laptop acting wired. Didnt fix my laptop and automatically put me in a monthly plan without telling me.
Love my nerds... always willing to help solve any problems or just do a checkup on the desktop.
The Nerds are the greatest computer wizzes
Flexible service, went the extra mile, solved the problem, professional, responsive, reasonably priced. What more could you ask?
