We had an entrance foyer rug that was cleaned in May and delivered May 31st. Since were having the foyer tile replaced, we did not open the delivered rug until today (June 21st). Much to our surprise the grey, black and white rug was ruined do to bleed over of color of read stain to which we were told it would require $375.00 to restore.Very disappointed, we now have a useless rug!This is not what I call good customer service.

Clean! I really like my carpets, as I have collected these over the years. I have attached a few pictures of some of my collection. I have 100% silk, wool and silk, wool and wool and cotton. The rug that is red and purple is worth $12,000, I dont just trust it to a dry cleaner. I want the company that has been doing this for more than a decade. Hadeeds guys came out and picked up the inventory, safely moved the furniture, measured and photographed the individual carpets. I liked that they kept me informed with the cleaning process, and updated the pictures. Seems like a few people have been offset by the quality control call, but it makes sense to me to receive information about something that needs to be fixed before I have the rugs delivered. So they called, I was able to see the pictures and elected to address a couple of the issues presented. The rugs were delivered and were in top condition. Great experience.

The only positive interaction I had with Hadeed carpet was the two gentlemen who picked up and delivered my rugs. They did not honor the price I was quoted because the rug was silk/wool blend not wool, though I provided this information when I received the quote. There were two spots along the fringe with some dirt buildup I asked them to specifically look at, to which they said no problem. The fringe came back in such terrible shape that the only solution is to replace it entirely. They said they would be happy to do this at $300 per side. The supervisor I spoke to about this said she would look into it and “possibly” discount the cost of fringe with the amount they charged me over the original estimate. She said she would get back to me and never did, despite my repeated attempts to reach her. In addition to the terrible customer service, the rugs don’t look any cleaner than if I had given them a good vacuuming.

Hadeed did a beautiful job of cleaning two large rugs and getting large orange (pet throw up) stains out of them by color matching the fibers. The rugs look like they are brand new They are 30+ years old! They also cleaned and repaired another rug that was 40 years old by removing the worn-out fringe and surging the edges so it would not unravel. The rugs were Scothguard-ed to prevent future stains and it works well. I am very impressed and will use them again in the future.

Amazing Restoration! I had ruined an expensive silk area rug by using a rental carpet cleaner. The white had turned burgundy. They would not stop trying until they returned my carpet to it’s former look. I cannot recommend them high enough. Great Job!

Hadeed did an excellent job from start to finish. They came to my home to pick up my Oriental area rugs. I had already rolled them up and stored them on a porch so that they didnt have to come into my home during this time of pandemic. The crew reviewed each rug for stains and damage, and they wrote down a description and an identifying number. I had several rugs for them to clean, ranging in size from 1x2 to 9x12, most of them handmade or hand-tufted, one machine made. A few days later, someone at Hadeed (Jessica, I think) called me to go over the rugs. She sent me a photo of each one so that we could discuss the cleaning and repairs needed. One rug needed re-serging, that is, to have the worn overcast stitching redone along the non-fringe edges. When the rugs were ready, the crew delivered them to my house. The rugs were well cleaned and the nap nicely fluffed up. (I had forgotten that one rugs fibers werent supposed to be pressed flat! That was due to years of foot traffic.) The repaired rug was as good as new; if I hadnt known that Hadeed repaired it, I would never have guessed that this wasnt the original stitching. I highly, highly recommend this company to clean all types of Oriental rugs.

This is the third time I have used Hadeed to clean my Karistan rugs. I do think that the business model has changed. In the past they would simply pick up the rugs, clean the rugs, and return the rugs, always doing an excellent job. This time it did seem a little bit like going in to buy some eyeglasses.... every question actually related to another charge. So my initial estimate to clean the 5 rugs was around $900. When all was said and done it was twice that but in looking back its because I did not ask enough questions when they were offering me services in the form of a question. So, just be beware of that... know what youre buying before you get the bill. But I will say my rugs look beautiful, they are repaired professionally and I am very happy with the job that was done. I will certainly use this company again to clean my rugs.

We had Hadeed come and clean our carpets, area rugs and tile and grout. The gentleman that came to do the carpet was pleasant and did a terrific job cleaning the tile and grout. We had in house cleaning of the large rugs and they picked them up,cleaned them and returned them and put them down on the floor. We highly recommend them and definitely will be using them again.

We had a pipe break and water damage that affected three oriental rugs and padding. Hadeed was able to clean and sanitize the three rugs and replace the padding. They also identified several areas that needed repair on these rugs that I bought in Turkey and Algeria and could not be easily replaced. Hadeed did a fine job on the repairs and the cleaning and sanitizing made the rugs look new with the colors as vibrant as when the rugs were new. Great work and very professional.

They had my rug, 8x11, for over 2 months because they misplaced my account number, fat fingered my email and phone number. Understandable, mistakes happen. However, after getting my rug back it still smells and has multiple holes in it. Ive sent pictures to their managers as directed and still no response. The worst 400 bucks Ive spent on poor service and quality of work.

The young man who cleaned my wall to wall carpet was very courteous and respectful of my home. He wore shoe coverings and face mask at all times and placed a runner in the entry to protect my hardwood floors. He evaluated the job and gave me a firm price quote before getting started and when he was done the carpet looked better than it did when we moved into the house in 2014. This is my second experience with Hadeed and they are excellent.

Felt like buying a used car where money was expected to be extracted at different phases for seemingly services of little value. Im glad I tried them but I will never use them again. However the basic carpet cleaning turned out fine. Again though, they tried to sell various services that added up significantly and posed little value.

Expensive but totally worth it.I have a unique antique Kashan Persian rug that my aging dog started taking a liking to for potty accidents over the past couple years. I have had this rug cleaned three times by two other companies and the smell was reduced, but when it was raining or super humid the stink emerged with a vengeance. I was on my last straw, saying Id get it cleaned one more time and if it didnt work I would have to part ways with this beautiful unique rug. I found Hadeed on Yelp and gave it a try. Glad I did!!! It cost like 50% more than the other services, but the rug has never looked better and the smell is 100% eliminated!!!! The company was exceptionally professional and polite as well. We sent out our large area rug to be cleaned by this company with a pre-agreed price of $160. The owner, Joe, sent us photos of the carpet after the cleaning, while it was drying. It looked great and I told him so. The day before it was to be delivered back to us Joe called and claimed that they had done extra treatments which we had specifically declined and told us that we needed to agree to pay $360 in cash or he would not return our carpet. We reminded him of the agreement of his price of $160. He told us $360 in cash or no carpet would be coming back. It was a holdup without a gun. We called the police who said it was not something they could get involved in. The next day Joe called again to tell us the carpet would be delivered only for $450 in cash. We had the police at our house when the truck arrived. The driver refused to offload our carpet until he had the $450 in his hands. Would you like to do business with Joe Hadeed, a criminal who belongs in a jail cell for sure. I am not the only victim of this crooked rug cleaner. Look him up on Yelp! Also Google him. There are also dozens of reviews like mine on websites that are not in the first two pages of search hits. You have been warned!

Buyer beware....Hadeed Mercers quotes and pricing vary depending on who you speak to, what day of the month it is, what offer is currently available. Like Haynes Furniture, theres always a sale. The salesperson who quoted the price to clean two rugs and buy new pads neglected to mention an optional charge for sanitizing and disinfecting. When the rug was picked up, the driver shoved an invoice under my nose and asked me to accept/decline the same with no mention of what it was, or what the cost was. In my rush to get them out the door (Covid concerns) I checked the accept box and as a result, my total bill jumped from the quoted $900 to $1200!!! Had someone explained the cost to me I would have declined. If you use Hadeed, beware of hidden costs!

I hesitated to rate 5 star only because the delivery men left 3 metal tags on the rugs. The rug is beautifully cleaned.

I returned from years overseas, including Baghdad where I bought several carpets. Hadeed picked up five carpets and two runners to clean. Later I realized there was one I had not seen. After not locating the carpet I requested photos of the carpets cleaned which Hadeed keeps on file. All photos were sent in PDF file, except one which I could not read. Since I could not see the one file I asked Hadeed to send the photo again. So far he has not. After spending thousands of dollars with this company they are now ignoring my request for the one photo which happens to be the missing carpet. Be careful with this company. My memory serves me well. The missing carpet was never delivered. This carpet was stolen,and that is why no photo was sent to me. The workers lifted it from my home. Go to the Better Business Bureau and review this company. They settle no complaints and so far have not settled this one.

Hadeed Carpet cleaned and repaired an antique rug that belonged to my grandmother. They picked it up and delivered it back to me when it was finished. The rug is very old but looks like brand new now. The fringe they repaired looks amazing and really compliments the rug. The customer service people I spoke with were very helpful and knowledgeable. Hadeed did an exceptional job and I highly recommend them.

Haded did a GREAT job cleaning and repairing our rugs.However, we were quoted one price and charged a different price.We were told 7 to 10 days and didnt get our rugs back for a month.We had paid for 4 pads and when the rugs were delivered, it was discovered that the drivers only had 2 pads. The two pads they had were rectangular for our oval rugs!The drivers used my scissors to cut the pads! I called the Springfield office and had a not very pleasant conversation. Hadeeds agent was rude and discourteous. After spending $1748.00 for our rugs, I was not happy.I then called the Richmond office and spoke with another agent. This person was very nice, however she did not follow through on one of her promises.All-in-all it was a most unpleasant experience and one we will not ever repeat.

Look at Better Business Bureau and Virginia Department of Consumer Affairs before you even look at this company. They have awful customer service and try to up charge for every little thing. They don’t return phone calls and return rugs dirty. Then try to charge you more to do what they failed to promise in the first place. Will never use this company again. Waste of time and money.

We had 11 orientals cleaned and repaired.....all suffering from years of dog damage and heavy use. Hadeed had courteous, friendly staff come to our house to pick up the rugs. Couple of weeks later, they were clean and ready to come back. They did a beautiful job fixing holes/tears and adding fringe.I would recommend this place to anyone that has valuable rugs that need cleaning and/or repairs.

We have our area rugs and runners cleaned every year by Hadeed. They always do a great job. We usually drop off our rugs at the shop because we enjoy visiting with the workers there ( my Dad was a rug cleaner so it is like going home!). Dont forget to get a new pad cut by Hadeed too. After having our wool area rug for six years, we finally had it picked up and cleaned by Hadeed Carpet Cleaning. The rug came back quickly and looks and smells great! It took over 2 months to have our carpets cleaned and returned. We didnt raise a stink about the time and tried to be understanding. We just had the rugs delivered and noticed an advertisement in the January ZEBRA. When we called about the discount posted in January we were told it only applied to those picked up January (which is not anywhere on the advertisement). The response from the company was a discount on our next service. First - we had 7 rugs cleaned. MY NEXT SERVICE WOULD NOT BE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. Second - We treated Hadeed like a community business - totally understanding the time for cleaning and this company does not honor their own advertisements. We have used Hadeed over the years but will be hard pressed to go back.

Great restoration of a Chinese handwoven carpet that was so abused that it was originally pulled out of a dumpster soaking wet.

Very pleased with the cleaning of our hand knotted wool rug. They picked up, and delivered at no extra cost. They kept us informed on the progress along the way. We also purchased a quality pad cut to size for our rug that we are really pleased with.

We are always very pleased with their carpet cleaning. This year one of our rugs was unraveling. They fixed this good as new. It is a lovely silk rug and it deserves their fabulous attention.

This was the first time I had used Hadeed and I will be using them again. Everyone from the people who answered the phone, to the guys who picked up my rugs and the guys who delivered them were friendly, respectful and on time. They made the process easy and the rugs were done as quoted. The prices were reasonable as well.

I’ve had my oriental rugs cleaned by Hadeed for over 20 years. The quality of their work is good, but my most recent miscommunication with them points to two things that need to change. First, Hadeed should start providing WRITTEN cost estimates for all of the rug services they provide - cleaning as well as repairs. Second, Until that happens, all would-be customers MUST request cost estimates in writing to ensure verbal miscommunications like mine don’t happen to them.In short, I called and advised I needed two 4x6 rugs cleaned and repaired, as well as an insurance appraisal for a brand new 8x10 Pakistani carpet. I was told the appraisal would cost $150 IF I bring the rug myself to their warehouse; otherwise they would clean the rug as part of the appraisal process. When I reminded that my rug was brand new and did NOT need to be cleaned, the sales agent told me they had a special at the moment: $95 for the appraisal and 15% off cleaning and that they would pick the rug up.Silly me. I thought the 15% off applied to the two 4x5 rugs I needed cleaned. I even said to the sales agent: “Why would anyone choose to pay $150 for an appraisal when they could get that same appraisal done for $95”? Silence. What was NOT said was that the new rug still needed to be cleaned and that the cleaning ALONE would cost over $500! The 15% discount applied only to the cleaning of the 8x10 rug (not the two 4x6 rugs), bringing the cleaning cost down to the mid $400 range. Small consolation.Only when I received my written invoice did I see that final cost breakdown. I called to complain and explain the source of the misunderstanding. The conversation was cordial but resulted only in the cost of the appraisal being removed from my invoice. Another small consolation, but I acknowledge that, as the buyer, the burden of misunderstandings is ultimately on me. You know, CAVEAT EMPTOR.Don’t make my mistake. Get written estimates for ALL work you consider Hadeed performing for you.

Rather disappointing showing up late repeatedly for both the carpet cleaning, rug pick up and rug drop off, and being what I consider overcharged for a little extra work. I’m really disappointed for what was touted as a bargain from both their FB post and a call I got persuading me to use their in home service.

I have a very nice Oriental Rug that I purchased while living in Asia - hand stitched, high quality, authentic. It was in need of cleaning so I contacted Hadeed. They were very helpful on the phone and came that day to pick it up in house which was awesome. Unfortunately, thats where the positives stopped.Trying to get an accurate price estimate out of them was near impossible. Their website has a half dozen coupons for every possible service or combination you could think of, and its not clear how or if any of these coupons work together. The coupons arent for special events, its just a were you smart enough to log onto our website discount - why not do away with them and just offer straight forward rates to everyone?I was told 7-10 days. I had a party in 2 weeks so I asked if they could have it done by the Friday before - within the 7-10 day window but on the low side. Sure, no problemIts been over a month and they still have my carpet.After the 2 weeks were up I called - many times - to try and figure out what the status was. The receptionist was always happy to take my name and number and tell me that so-and-so in some other division would get back to me. After 4-5 calls and messages left over a few days, I did finally get a call back. They recommended some additional work that I agreed with.Back into the black hole of communication and another 2+ weeks.Then I get a call from Hadeed requesting the rest of the money (I paid a deposit to have them come pick it up and start the process). I said I wanted the carpet delivered first and Id give the delivery guy a check if it was all good - that was a nonstarter, they wont deliver without final payment in hand. Fine - I paid with my credit card, worst case scenario if they deliver a destroyed rug I can do a charge back. She thanks me, tells me that someone will call on Friday to schedule a 2-hour delivery window on Saturday.No call Friday or Saturday. I try calling but its too late, theyre closed. I try using their on line help chat. It is anything but helpful and is actually just a service to take messages. Questions like is there anyone I can speak with today to figure this out are answered with a link to the Hadeed website and their office hours. Dont waste your time with the chat. They take my name and number and promise someone will call me first thing Monday.I receive no calls. My wife calls them and is given the run around promise someone will call back with info. If youve read this far, you know how that went.Finally we get a call back, no explanation of why we were blown off and the delivery missed. Maybe they were still working on it is what were told. Its supposed to be delivered end of this week. Im not holding my breath.If by some miracle the rug is delivered, Ill update this review with the condition of the final product. But the above information alone should be enough to steer anyone clear, unless you simply dont care about how long it takes and how little you are kept informed about the process.***UPDATE*** The rug was delivered as promised the second time. It looks great, they got out all the stains and spots and did a repair on the fringe that doesnt perfectly match the original but is passable from a few feet away. In the end, Im glad I got the rug cleaned but wish I had a better experience overall.

It was a big disappointment for me hiring Hadidian!I called to schedule an appointment and got Laurie on the line. I asked for rugs and carpet cleaning- and she did say that I have to pay $350 for the both. She never ever said that the rugs has to be taken out for cleaning, that the amount of the deposit cover only the basement. When the cleaner arrived it was clear that I was totally mislead . I did cancel the cleaning since basement of the same side is costing me $168 ( I was told several times the the minimum in DC is $350), completely incorrect since it is in house set up amount, not disclosed to me.I asked for full refund and was told that I will not get it all.Don’t ever deal with this company!

Beautiful job cleaning a very dirty rug that our big dog had made a mess of! The rug came back quickly and looks almost new!!!! Miraculous!

Man oh man I shouldve checked Yelp and google reviews before doing business with this company. First off, they are EXTREMELY difficult to nail down regarding exactly what things cost and what youre going to pay. You can talk to someone on the phone who will give you a general idea, subject to an inspection upon pick up of the rugs - no problem - that seems fair. Except when they pick up the rugs they still dont actually write anything down about costs! They ask you if you want this-and-that for up-charge services, but again, you have nothing in writing regarding your costs. They take a $150 deposit and absolutely will not return your rugs until youve paid your bill in FULL - which means if there is a problem with your rugs when they get delivered, guess what? When they left with my rugs I agreed to an additional deep clean which I immediately regretted after they walked out of my door. I called them while they were still in my driveway and spoke to customer service and said Hey, please just give me the standard. Dont neutralize or whatever else you just sold me on. They took notes and guess what? They did it anyway. The ONE positive is that when I called to say what gives? they took the extra cost off. But still, who wants to deal with that? One of the lovely pottery barn rugs I sent in was a runner. It left a normal rectangular shape and when it came back, it was so incredibly crooked it looks ridiculous down my hallway. I understand its a hand tuffed rug (not machine made) and upon washing, its not expected to be a perfect rectangle, but this? The straight edge of my rug sits 2 inches off the wall and where it bends...its 4 INCHES off the wall! It looks ridiculous. Even the delivery guys said, yeah, you should call about that. Long story long, dont do business with them. Just dont do it.

I am pleased with the overall service from pick up, follow up & delivery of my rugs.

I sent the rug off to get professionally cleaned as my methods would have resulted in permanent damage. I was told it could be fixed for about $350k, it ended up being $750k. I was told I had to pay in full before the rug was delivered back or Id have to drive over 30 miles to a warehouse to view it. It came back without its softness, rough and without its grey sheen. Worse, after paying for coloration restoration as well, the color was not even and the spots were still visible! I was really disappointed as this rug was expensive and my favorite. I DO NOT recommend them.

I brought two rugs for cleaning they did a wonderful job in cleaning them, but hey changed the amount $20:00, because they said the clerk in there measured it wrong it would cost me $20:00 ?more dollars? That is not my fault that there personnel made this mistake, you get what you pay for.

My carpet looks just as beautiful as when the first day I purchased it. They did a great job.

My experience getting the rugs back was a disaster from start to finish. No one communicated with me about a 3-week delay. No one returned my call when I inquired; I had to call back. On delivery day, I worked from home to be present for a “morning” delivery. At 5:30 PM, after 2 phone calls asking where my rugs were (no one ever called me), they were still not there. I had to coordinate with neighbors to receive delivery at 6:00 PM, as I had to leave the house for a commitment. The person I finally spoke to asked to hear my full story when he heard how frustrated I was. He said someone would call to follow up. Surprise! No one did. Now I receive direct marketing texts and emails to which I can’t unsubscribe. I don’t want to hear from Hadeed again. Please just make this nightmare stop.
