Seth and Ivy are wonderful landlords! We rented from them for 6 years and would have continued if we hadnt bought a home. They helped us out of a terrible situation we were in prior to renting from them. They were always professional and extremely responsive. They were quick to fix the dew things that needed to be fixed over the 6 years. We would absolutely recommend them!

My husband and I rented from Brick City for 2 years and absolutely loved our experience there. The apartment is beautiful and the location was convenient and quiet (besides the trains). Seth and Ivy were very quick to respond to any problems and maintenance and are very considerate landlords!

My husband and I rented w/ Brick City Apartments for three years. Their buildings are absolutely beautiful, full of character and charm; we were sad to leave. The locations of their apartments are great and w/in walking distance of all of the neat things going on in downtown Springfield. Ivy was always easy to get in touch with and incredibly helpful in remedying situations.As we have moved, we have continuously found ourselves talking about our fixtures, paint colors, appliances and the overall feel of our Brick City Apartment- Brick City does quality work and we truly enjoyed our time w/ them.

Rented with Brick City for a year and it was a great experience. You can definitely notice the effort put into remodeling and furnishing the apartments. The landlord was readily available whenever I needed help and was very flexible. Got 100% of my security deposit back even when I was expecting a few minor deductions. Would highly recommend this realtor.

I lived in a Brick City apartment for about 3 1/2 years and absolutely loved it! The management was great and quickly responded to every text, call, etc. I once locked myself out and they were there within 15 minutes to let me back in. Id call that pretty great service. I highly recommend this great company!

I rented an apartment from Brick City Properties for just under two years. The location and condition of the apartment at move-in were fantastic. You can tell Ivy and Seth put a lot of effort, pride, and time in fixing up these older buildings. During my time there, I only had one maintenance issue come up and it was promptly addressed. I would still be living there if my career did not take me to a new state. I highly recommend Brick City Properties to any one looking for an apartment Springfield!

We only rented from them for a year, but if we didn’t buy a house we would absolutely continue to rent from them! It’s easy to get into communication with them, and they are prompt about fixing any problems. The apartment we rented (as I’m sure is the same in all their apartments) had so much charm and they did a great job in renovating the building. It’s obvious they enjoy what they do, which makes renting from them a pleasure.They make moving out extremely easy and convenient as well- we were given a cleaning list of everything they were looking for to ensure a full security deposit back, with each unaddressed issue/problem given a monetary amount of how much will be taken out of the deposit, it was very transparent and easy to adhere to.I would recommend to anyone looking for apartments to look into their apartments- they’re quality properties and great people to rent from!

Loved living here!!! The apartment was updated and so modern! Brick City LLC were great; quick to respond to any questions or issues. Including my defective fire alarm on a Saturday morning. I never had an issue with neighbors or appliances breaking. Paying rent was easy with their secured mailbox. Utilities at the apartment were so low I couldnt believe it; that goes to say their remodeling-construction-insulation was great. My apartment had an amazing pantry and plenty of space throughout. They have standards which is great because you know what youre getting in tenant quality and cleanliness. If life circumstances were different and I could have had my dog I would have never left. Do give yourself plenty of time to clean the apartment before moving out. Things get dirtier than you realize, but they had no problem coming and checking things to ensure I got my full deposit back! The best part is they followed up after I had moved out & wanted to know how the next chapter in my life was. Brick City is so personal it was the best rental experience Ive ever had.

Of all of the move-in, living, and move-out experiences Ive had, being a tenant with Brick City LLC was by far the best. They were attentive, understanding landlords, and the apartment was beautiful. Great restoration work, safe, and just all around awesome.

Absolutely loved renting from Brick City. The apartment was in fantastic condition at move in, Ivy was incredibly personable and easy to reach and communicate with, and move out was smooth. If I still lived in Springfield, I would definitely still be living there!

Actually robbed me and my boyfriend of our deposit. Have strongly debated going to the Tenants Associations after we got a mere $120 back from our $780. They claim to be Med School friendly but took a deposit we believed we shouldve gotten back. Be wary of using this rental agency especially if youre starting school at SIU.

*SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS RESIDENTS*:If youre looking for somewhere to rent, I highly encourage you not to rent from Brick City Apartments. This company has been less than a pleasure to deal with. They robbed me of my entire security deposit. With 2 days of cleaning, 5 people chipping in, spending hours scrubbing, and abiding by a check list, they insist on charging me the majority of the deposit for what I can only tell are Clorox-able fixes and (a) nail. Im furious that Ive been scammed out of a decent amount of money because of what they deemed to be unlivable. Interestingly enough, after this company showed our apartment to a new tenant, before even moving out, the new tenant was more than happy to move in. Perhaps this is due to the livable condition of the apartment. I get it, life isnt fair always and some people have horror stories about fighting land lords, but this is ridiculous. I want to warn everyone that the landlords here are unreasonable in every sense of the word. Rent at your own risk.PS: I dont write bad reviews, hardly ever even considered writing one up until today. I dont have the time to worry about money and negative feels, Im here to write this once and move on with my life but the fact is, went to their Facebook page to rate them and give my reasoning for a poor rating but found I was blocked from their site. Do they think Im gonna let them rob and burn me? Like hell they will!
