First time hiring this company to clean our condo carpet. Weve had another company clean our carpet over the years but our schedules didnt work. Hired Shiny Carpet for the first time after seeing a lot of 5 Star reviews.We paid for a special on the website which included 3 areas and a free hallway steam cleaning. In addition, added pet urine extraction on 4 areas and odor control services. Total cost was not low by any means. But we had agreed because we understood that urine couldnt be removed easily by just steam cleaning. We do not wear shoes in the house at all but our dog who recently passed had bladder cancer and had accidents towards the end of his time so we used our Hoover Steam Carpet Cleaner to clean up the mess as much as possible right away.Our Experience with Shiny CarpetEasy scheduling, very communicative with email, about the arrival time of the technician, received timely calls and texts before arrival, and the technician(s) arrived on time. Communication was abundant. That system seems to be on point.FIRST TIME CLEANINGOur first technician was nice and pleasant. However, we did not feel like our carpet looked very clean after the job. Because we could still smell the urine (which was more apparent when it was treated), could see some stains here and there, and the carpet was very wet. We didnt expect our carpet to look brand new of course. But we didnt feel like our technician did his best to address our concerns.Side note- We have a berber carpet and our previous cleaning company had educated us on the fact that berbers advantage is that it cleans up easily but the carpet does get dirty looking relatively quickly too.All we heard from our first tech were, the small stains couldnt be removed because it had pretty much dyed the carpet, the urine smell would dissipate in a few hours and the carpet should dry in 8 hours.We had our dehumidifier on, multiple fans running and ran the air conditioner to try to circulate our place. For over 24 hours.The next morning, the carpets were generally still lightly wet to touch, the urine smell was actually worse, but the carpet did not look clean and there were stains around the extraction areas.SECOND TIME CLEANINGWe called Shiny Carpet the very next morning, spoke with Shelly first and she put us in touch with Sergio. Sergio scheduled the second cleaning for that very afternoon (which we had wanted because all of our furniture had been pushed into the kitchen and we couldnt do much until our carpets were clean). It was inconvenient that the job wasnt done right the first time as our plans to clean and put furnitures back did not happen.Chris and Morys came out to our place, saw the results, spoke with the office, and confirmed that they would redo the job that we had paid for.Chris and Morys were really nice guys. They listened attentively, apologized for the quality of the initial work, took their time with the extraction and cleaning. We understand that this is a labor intensive job with no guarantees that our carpet would look brand new. We were realistic in our expectations too. All we had wanted was what we paid for and didnt feel like we had the results the first time around.24 hours later, the urine smell is gone, our carpet generally looks much cleaner, some of the stains did come out, but the two extraction areas ha d a ring of darkness compared to the other areas.Chris told us as berber dries, deep rooted stains can come up to the surface. So we took our Hoover Steam Cleaner and went over couple of those areas ourselves and it looks clean now. So not upset at all about that. Again, we were told, we understood, and it was addressed.The next time we schedule our cleaning, wed probably ask for either of the two technicians that came out the second time.We would have given 1 STAR for the business if Sergio didnt handle our call with care and speed, if Chris and Morys didnt work hard to finish their jobs right. These three deserve 5 stars.

I was so impressed by this remarkable young man, Prince, that I had mistakenly assumed he was in his mid-20s. He was quite a bit younger, actually. But, he comes across as so much more mature; hes a total professional. Because, Im also sort of a Salesman, I quickly identified his attempts to UpSell me on some Cleaning Services (most of which he secured). I bought his UpSells because his Salesmanship techniques were quite smooth. Anyway, he did a FANTASTIC JOB. I was so impressed by the end results. I cannot recommend Prince from Shiny Carpet Cleaners enough.Shiny Carpet (the Company) was much less expensive then Stanley Steamer; and, theyre schedule was much more flexible. I only harbor one [relatively small] criticism with the Company, though. If a Company chooses not to accept American Express because of the higher surcharge, that is fine. However, please do not pass on the added expense of handling AmEx onto Customers - its just not professional. In the future, please openly state (right on the Website) that Customers should pay with Visa/Mastercard, Cash, or Check only.I should also mention that this company did fit me in on one days notice; which made a great impression.

While they were here they told me they had to go to the truck to retrieve certain equipment. To my surprise, I received a text stating that my appointment had ended. I went outside to look for them and they were indeed gone. In addition to being lied to your workers also broke my screen door I informed you of. When I finally got you on the phone since I had to call you from a different number for you to answer. You kept ignoring my calls from my number. You acted as though you had no idea why they would do such a thing. We ended with Im not removing my comment and you informed me that you would be responding. I replied stating that was fair. However, I will not allow you to reply with false statements.---------------------‐---------------------------------------------------------------4/27/2021--The end results wasnt good at all. My carpet looks the same as it did before they came and now there are permanent lines in my carpet from them that werent there before. I called the company to express my concerns, I was argued with and informed that they dont promise for your carpet to look brand new.I do not expect for my carpet to look brand new since its not brand new. What I expected was for it to show a difference. I was also denied speaking with a supervisor.Buy cheap get cheap, lesson learned. Will stick with Stanley Steemer for results.

I used this company for both a move out clean and carpet shampoo/cleaning for two story townhouse with 3 pets. To say I was blown away by the results is an understatement. I was probably a slightly difficult customer to deal with because we were moving out the same day I asked for them to come clean. This made payment and entry into the home a bit challenging, but they worked with me and were flexible with my request. They did a great job with staying in communication with me via phone and email in regards to scheduling and calling the day of before and after the appointment. I even came back the next day to clean up anything that wasn’t done well and I didn’t have to touch a thing. The carpets looked great and the house was immaculate. Highly recommend!Also, I got 3-4 quotes for both house keeping and carpet cleaning and their prices were very reasonable. Can’t say enough good things about them!

I am a real estate agent in Maryland and I was trying to use Shiny Carpet Cleaning for COVID Cleaning prior to a settlement. I spent several hours over the weekend trying to get an appointment. I was told I had an appointment on Saturday and then called back saying that Saturday was no longer available. I was then given Monday morning the day of my closing and then was called back again saying Monday was no longer available. Each time I provided my credit card info. This company is very disorganized from a scheduling and communications stand point. As a result I did not get the cleaning done with them and would not recommend them!

Alex was very professional, and did a great job in just a couple of hours. Sectional couch, 40 carpeted stairs and two large rooms all look and smell great. Oh, and I called at 6pm the night before, they scheduled me for 10am the next day, AND added the couch last minute. Great experience.

While I did have a very small issue with scheduling (I did ask one day before they came to our home & I live in District Heights, Md), the service and quality of work done was great. Sami worked a miracle on our carpets! We just moved into a new home and the plush carpet had some serious pet stains and urine spots. I wasn’t even entirely sure the carpets could be salvaged.
