¡MB Heating and Cooling Rocks!I recently had to have an emergency repair and replacement of an A/C unit at our rental property--during the hottest week of the year. With one call late on a Sunday your amazing crew leapt into action.The tech arrived at 11:30 that night but the unit was too far gone to fix. I got a call bright and early on Monday morning from your wonderful and helpful admin staff and we scheduled a site visit for that afternoon.Josh showed up on the dot at our scheduled time, put on his shoe covers and mask, and we got down to the business of finding the best solution for our needs. Its rare to thoroughly enjoy an experience that will require you to write a big check at the end but Josh made it happen. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and can explain technical details without ever talking down to you.Because it would be a few days before the unit could be installed, Josh brought over a portable A/C unit and set it up so the tenants would have some respite from the heat. What an amazing service! And to top it off there was a schedule opening and with our approval Levi, Mike, and Nicole came a day early for the installation. I think they left the job site cleaner than they found it.We will only use MB Heating and Cooling and I will always recommend you. Thanks for all you do for your customers and your community!

I was very interested in having them come out and work on multiple projects, $~10k worth. They came out and looked and said theyd send quotes and this is now 2 months ago. Never got a quote, never got a follow up call, never got email responses, nothing. Not a way to conduct business.

My AC went out while I was gone all day. I called the 24 hour number. Zack called me early the next morning and we made an appointment for two hours later. He was on time and was able to diagnose and repair the unit within a few minutes. I highly recommend both Zack and MB.

The ac unit is amazing. However, getting the guys to actually tape up the duct work appropriately and come back is another story. I still have a huge hole in my duct work.. they been here twice. I think Im just giving up.

Very manipulative and cunning service, technician I called tries to take your money. I called in because I needed to turn off my gas pipe from the fireplace. On the first day technician came he looked around the house and said that he couldnt find the pipe and that it was most likely in the crawlspace, but charged a $90 fee anyways. He couldve just told us that before he came in. He said that he will come the second day in order to go into the crawlspace and cap the pipe, an it will be an estimated $150 fee. He came in the second day and did the work, then he said the total labor charge is $220, which is 70 higher than he promised. We negotiated and he brought it down to $180. But then he told us in order to turn back on our water heater, we needed to charge him $60, which is ridiculous since that shouldve came with the whole service he gave us.dude left and we immediately told MB of the incident and they offered us to send out another technician to us, offered no apology. The latter technician finished the job quickly, though. Overall that experience just broke my heart to think that he tried to swindle my family.

I called three companies on a VERY hot Saturday in August. He was the only one that called back promptly. One was HOURS later, and the big name not at all. The problem was resolved in a timely manner and fee was VERY LOW. No extra fee for weekends, or after hours.

My AC was on the fritz and I called several companies for service repair, and M&B was the only place that answered in a timely manner. They not only came out in less than 24 hrs, but Zachary also identified the problem and gave honest, professional feedback. He was very polite and proficient. I highly recommend their service.

We absolutely love our system we bought thru MB Heating. I had a service call and Ethan was my tech. He was beyond fantastic. I have had problems with connecting to My evolution and had a few tech in the past. Ethan spent the time to get my system connected. And most important stay connected. We are very happy with him not only for that but the service he performed for our maintenance. We always recommend MB Heating the as well as there owner are fantastic.

Very poor communication, gentleman came out to review the work requested in an effort to generate an estimate. Took several phone calls, left messages, did not receive calls back, again called to check on the bid which I finally received 11 days after the fact to be quoted almost 2x the other estimate I received. I did not end up going with this company, poor communication, lack of respect for my time, and seemingly over priced when compared to local competitors.

I too recommend this company my furnace went out and i wasnt sure who to call so i started with MB Heating and Josh Stewart came out and went over my options, he was very personable and professional as he explained my options. I was able to get financing and replaced both heating/ac with a good price. Back in 2017, my HVAC system went out. MB replaced my system in a day and I couldn’t have been more pleased. They were clean, quick, efficient and professional. Fast forward to 12/2020, I had them install a ductless system for my finished attic. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right.

Service part was great, but the price on a relatively cheap-ish part to a Goodman furnace a bit steep. Never did get a statement that explained how the charges came up to what they were. $665 plus a $90 service fee to fix a part costing no more than $200 and was there no more than 4 hours total is pretty bad if you ask me. The important thing is it’s fixed, but I would probably shop around a little.

I met with Josh Stewart several times during he course of selecting and installation of a new AC system . He was professional and friendly, explained my options very well, worked with me on the best solution and oversaw the installation. The installers themselves were knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend MB.

Furnace went out the evening of Christmas Eve. Called the next morning and they had a tech at the house within a few hours. When we discovered the cost of repair would exceed the cost of a new furnace (multiple malfunctions)they had a sales rep at the house that same day. We had a new furnace installed that Monday morning. Great service and quality work !

Yet another great experience with MB! Weve been customers since we moved to Springfield 5 years ago and couldnt be happier with their sales and service. Zach was here yesterday for our annual furnace check. He was professional, knowledgeable, and beyond courteous. MB knows how to treat their customers, and its employees like Zach that keep us coming back!

The receptionist was so nice and got someone out to us as soon as possible, our heat went out with 6 kids and multiple reptiles in the house, she made sure we would get taken care of when we couldnt find anyone else to come. The man that came out and fixed it did a wonderful job and weve had no more issues

I hired them to come out and look at a leak inside the house and was told that the pipe simply needed insulated. The technician said the 34 year old AC unit needed new wiring and the fan cleaned out so I had them clean it out and replace the unit for 250$. The next day it stopped working. I also came down with CoVid, so I called them and explained the situation. I was told that they will follow up for free and bring out a temporary unit until my quarantine was over, and then they could take a look at the system. They brought out a unit that was very old, well used, and covered in painters tape and duct tape. Running it full blast the room often would not drop below 78. When they came to pick up the unit and look at the system several weeks later I was told that the Freon had leaked out from it being so old and they could fill it back up for 500$+ with no guarantee it wouldn’t just leak back out. I was then given a sales pitch to buy a new system from them. The kicker is a month later we received a bill for 90$ for them coming to pick up the unit and look at the system. When I called back, the manager, the same person who said they would take a look at it for free, told me that who ever told me they would visit for free had not looked at the notes and was wrong because the initial technician had stated that it was an old machine. I would not have had them come at all if I had know they would charge us especially since I had to get window units since the unit they gave us did not work.-Morale of the story I would not recommend. They did not stick to their word with billing.

First company Ive used for more than a single year of heating and cooling service. I was 0 for 5 prior to them. The pricing is reasonable. The service is top notch. The techs are wonderful and talk straight. And they actually CALLED ME to schedule my appointment before it was too hot or too cold in the season where I was forced to start my furnace without the burners being cleaned and inspected. Not that that had happened with some other big HVAC names in town or anything.

Our furnace went out in January and we have a 4 month old baby. The technician came the next day, he was helpful, honest and got everything fixed and the house warmed up the same day. I would highly recommend them.

The entire team was attentive, patient, and helpful, from first phone call to the end of the project. The project manager, Josh Stewart, went above and beyond. The team was thorough in diagnosing the problem and finding the best solution.

Had difficulty getting hot air to the second floor for winter. Called MB and they were very professional thru the process. Scheduled work date easily and they repaired and replaced vents in order to resolve airflow issues. They also adjusted the fan power to make unit more efficient. Finally, they installed a humidifier to help with winter dryness. Very noticable results right away- second (and third!) floors get consistent warm air. Now, the house temperature is balanced and each room livable. Good quality air as well. Financing was quick and painless. Wells Fargo mobile is a servicable app. Definitely call MB if you live in or near Springfield IL.

Mike and his crew came and quickly determine what was wrong with my AC unit. It was the furnace. The previous HVAC company over sized everything and it was working too hard to move air. Mike and crew put in the right size unit in a few hours. His guy that connected the new furnace to the AC part is an artist in bending sheet metal.About two weeks later, the AC goes out again. Mike stopped what he was doing because he was curious what happened. It turned out a safety switch was tripped due to a stick blocking the the fan on the outside unit. Mike even showed me how to reset it if it happens again. Big plus, he didnt charge me for the visit.Hes now my HVAC guy for now on.

After running an air advice report for a few days, found out my house was no removing the stale air. So I ordered an ERV, to remove the co2(was at 1500ppm, EPA advice-500ppm). After installing the ERV, I spent a few weeks reading up on his to operate the ERV, and playing with the settings.I assumed my high levels of relative humidity were from the co2 not leaving my house, so I requested MB Heating double check the install. Was told it was installed correctly, however since it did not connect to the HVAC fan, I was not getting 100% out of the ERV.Running the HVAC fan 24/7 appears to be doing good work letting fresh air in and removing the carbon dioxide. I will be requesting MB Heating & Cooling to install their thermostat, so my fan does not run all day.

Everyone that I worked with at MB was very professional. They spent alot of time educating us before they left. They also came back months later to follow up and check the system in person. I highly recommend MB Heating and Cooling.

Mb Heating has maintained my heating and air conditioner for many years. I have the service maintenance agreement. The twice a year maintenance has allowed me to avoid emergency calls on my air conditioner these many years. My one emergency call in the middle of winter on a very cold weekend with a small child in the home was quickly resolved. The repair technicians are on time, knowledgeable, and efficient. We just had our 23 year old central air and furnaces replaced in our home. Because of the size of our home we needed to replace our 2 systems, one for the upstairs and one for the main floor level. From start to finish, MB Heating & Cooling were great to work with. Josh S. helped us plan for the type of systems we needed and offered many suggestions, keeping cost and efficiency in mind. He was helpful in addressing all of our concerns and there was never any pressure to purchase anything. After answering all of our questions and concerns, we made a decision on the types of units we wanted. He scheduled it and arranged for two teams to make the installation. On our scheduled day, two teams of 2 men each arrived on time, introduced themselves and started right in to dismantle the old units and install the new ones. They did a great job, were very courteous, explained what they were doing as they went along, completed the job in one day, cleaned up everything when they were finished, gave us a tour of our new equipment and explained how everything worked. Before they left, they made sure we were satisfied with everything and that they had answered all of our questions or concerns. Now that we have had the new systems running for several weeks, we are more than pleased with them and how the entire process worked out. Called and spoke with Erin in the office multiple times to get a copy of paperwork from past employment. Started corresponding with her as of 10/25/19 via phone and email. She asked for consent via email which was provided within 5 minutes. I got some lame excuse as to why it couldnt be sent not once but 3 times. Now I have been ghosted and no one will get back to me and it is 11/12/19. Very unprofessional and obviously no regard for time sensitive matters. Do not recommend if you want anything done quickly. Unhappy with their lack of communication. By IL law you only have 7 days from the first date requested to provide an employee or former employee with a copy of their personal information. It has been 18 days.

We sold our home in Rochester, only to have the cleaning crew discover a leak in the ceiling of downstairs. Our realtor Kathy Garst contacted them and we went for over a week without hearing anything. Fortunately a neighbor had turned the water off for us the day it was discovered. After a couple of phone calls, we finally got the estimate from when the plumber had checked it the previous week. $500! They apologized for the delays but that doesnt help much when youre in FL and waiting to find out whats going on in IL. I found someone else who agreed to go and check the problem, and he did the repair a few days later for $205.The manager of the company did give me a call the day before the other party was to do the repairs and apologized, and offered the owner himself would go do the repair, but I already had someone else lined up.

Very pleased with MB . Had to have a Whirlpool bathtub replaced. Jay Sweeny did a fantastic job. Put in tub and did all the trim work. Would highly recommend MB and Jay is a sweetheart. Go Rockets!

MB was used by our general contractor (GC) for gas, water, and electrical work for a kitchen renovation. All work was done by unsupervised techs. We don’t expect perfection, but expect a reasonable level of competency, honesty, and professionalism.GAS: As the MB tech was finishing up his last work day he announced we would be w/o hot water because the copper line from the steel main to the hot water tank broke and he was not allowed to install or reattach copper. He then told us of a home where the gas company condemned it because they were using copper. The gas company is responsible only for the lines up to, and the meter itself, and has no power to inspect or dictate what’s inside your home. And the state-licensed home inspector we hired before purchase saw no issue with copper, which is fairly common in older homes for appliance connections, though not the first choice.The MB tech indicated it broke while installing a valve because it was bad and not anything he did, so the “repair” was not part of the renovation. Copper can deteriorate over time, but usually as a pinhole leak, and breaks occur due to extreme or repeated bending, and does not rip or shear apart under normal handling as he indicated. The integrity of the line where it “broke” appeared solid, and we noticed fresh tool marks all around it. He stated he didn’t have the “proper” line MB uses (I believe flex CSST). Apparently, his office suggested he go to the local hardware store for it, as I overheard him on the phone state they didn’t have it, although he made no call other than to his office. He also quoted $588, which was “worst case” whatever that means.The same tech was here twice before, to include inspecting the system to determine what was needed, and could have brought the copper subject up any time, allowing us time to research and make an informed decision. The wife wanted hot water ASAP and due to few plumbers in our area, the 20 ft line was replaced the next day by MB in about an hour. So on top of being inconvenienced we were charged $588 to replace a 20 ft line, including a trip charge that was unnecessary.WATER: The MB tech installed a water line from under the kitchen sink to the refrigerator, running it under the floor. The holes were notably larger than the line itself, and he filled in the gaps with plumbers’ putty, leaving them as “finished,” including a putty-filled hole in our new floor in plain sight, on the outside back corner of our 36”-wide fridge, vs. behind it. Later we realized the kitchen faucet lines were crossed so that hot water runs with the handle in the position labeled “Cold,” and vice-versa. And despite plenty of room under the double sink, he installed the water lines in a way that left no free room for the up and down movement of the weight used to “auto” retract the pull-out sprayer for the faucet.ELECTRIC: After the 2 MB techs stated they were done and left, they were called back due to no power to the garbage disposal. Later we discovered a puck light over the sink didn’t work. About 12 days later the senior of the 2 techs returned to get it working, stating it was due to the “Newbie” although it doesn’t explain why neither checked their work before leaving. A couple days later we noticed that particular puck and the attached ribbon LEDs over the left side of the counter flicker. Also, they installed a box for a ceiling light, but did not leave the screws to attach a light. These particular machine screws come with the electrical boxes, not the light fixtures.An MB rep did respond after our review, but the message he left sounded tailored more for a difficult customer with unreasonable expectations, rather than one taking ownership, as also reflected in his online response to our review that we indicated to the GC that we were “happy” with the work. But that conversation encompassed the cabinets, counter, and backsplash completed by others, not the bulk of utility-related work completed later on by MB. And frankly, we don’t want anyone from MB inside our home again.

Needed to have a water heater repaired. The nice service man said the bill would be $645.00 to repair. I paid the 80.00 service call charge and told him no thanks. I went to the plumbing supply store and bought the parts for $50.11.... I watched a quick video on you tube and fixed it in 20 minutes. Why the outrageous charge for the repair? Will not do business with a company that gouges their customers!

Rob did a good job explaining what would keep my system running efficiently. He seemed to do a thorough inspection. I appreciate the suggestions he made.

I am very pleased with the installation of my new water heater.

Service was very professional. I had a complete heat pump system installed. They came in the morning and stayed until the system was fully up and running. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. Would recommend them to anyone needing maintenance or a new system installed.

The team was professional, efficient, and did a great job of explaining everything to me. They came in for the install and didnt leave until our heat was back on. The quickness was much appreciated with our heat going out in December!

I bought an older home. It has had multiple issues. MB has taken care of my heating and cooling issues, plumbing and electric. Every staff person I have worked with has been very knowledgeable and thorough and friendly. Also, when the “surprises” occurred on nights or weekends... they were there. We bought one of their service plans and have been extremely satisfied. All around they are great!

Rob was very professional from the minute he arrived to service our air conditioner. He explained every thing very well and was very thorough on his work. Rob was very patient with my questions and answered everything.. I feel very confident with the work he performed. I very much recommend this company and the service plan that they offer.

They are well qualified for all your needs. They installed our solar system. They are well trained on it. They took care of all paper with utility company plus made your all tax papers are done.

Excellent service! AC went out on the hottest day of the year (the unit was 40+ years old so it had a good life) at 5:15 in the evening. MB immediately sent a tech who tried to get it to life again and when that didnt work, Angie came out with a portable AC and stayed to quote products and set up installation times until 9pm. The portable AC was an amazing benefit and the fast, friendly service was also outstanding. There have also been two follow-up visits and many follow-up calls to make sure everything is working properly. All this for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

$90 service fee to show up.Supposed to Quote price before doing any work.Problem fixed while checking electric out.Half hour tops.$90 minimum charge.$180 for half hour testing.Explanation...We dont charge by the hour we are a flat rate company.Didnt hear that in the original call.
