I took my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 to Max Motors because my air conditioner was not holding a charge. It would blow cold about 2 weeks then start blowing warm. They did an evac and recharge with dye and said run it until it stopped blowing cold. I did so, and upon return to the service dept., I was told I needed an evaporator core to the tune of $2004.95. I explained I couldnt afford that and.called Dons. He said bring it on up and let him look at it. He ran through the entire system, explained in detail everything he was checking and why, as well as showed me with the cheat light, where it was leaking. After all of that, the low pressure valve was not screwed in all the way. Thats it. I cannot express how gratefulI am to Don and how much I appreciate his honesty and how professional he is!! I highly recommend him and will be taking all my future business to him.
A lot of great shops in the Springfield area however no one is better then Dons. Whether you need a full overhaul of your system or they just need to make athis guys been in business forever and they are the best!
Very good work. I normally am very hesitant about trusting auto repair shops. I never had that feeling with Dons Auto Air. I would go back to them without a doubt.
This company rebuilt my air conditioning system but it did not stay charged with Freon. I brought it back and they recharged it said there were no leaks but it leaked out again. For $1,500 I expected a lot more.
Just a great place for A/C repair and for almost anything else you could think of. Been doing perfect work for me for years.
Great customer service. Very honest and friendly. Definitely recommend this establishment.
Dont Auto Air is fabulous. Not only are they the only shop I found that works on Motorhome dash AC but courteous staff and experienced technicians that got the job done in a timely manner. Found other problems and expediently took care of them too. I will definitely continue to use Dont Auto Shop in the future and highly recommend this shop to anyone. Thank you very much for your great service!
They were able to trace and fix an electrical problem that two other shops couldnt. It is a clean and professionally run shop. Highly recommend them.
Good and Polite service
Timely and professional service, great experience start to finish.
I felt confident they knew what to do. I was well informed how and why they did the service. Price was very fair. Nice customer service.
Fast service very friendly.
Beats other auto shops prices but offers specialist experience. Trustworthy.
Excellent service. Very informative on how the system works and what it would take to repair it. Best a/c Ive ever had after they made the repairs. Thank you Dons Auto Air!
Great service with great prices! Fast and friendly. Will go back if needed.
They found a loose connection, fixed it and got us quickly on our way. Great service and knowledgeable staff.
If I ever need my Car AC worked on again, Ill be going back.I first went to a different shop just down the road to get my AC Fixed, and was told I was going to have to replace my entire AC System for a cost of around $1,500.I took it to Dons to get a second opinion, and it turned out to be a leaky valve, and was back in business for about $100.
They have totally taken care of me this week!! My alternator went out and they were able to get the repairs done next business day. As I was literally driving down Glenstone a friend suggested them because I was near by. Everyone has been courteous and helpful and I definitely plan to return. Top Notch!!
Excellent service. Highly recommended. Call for appointment today!
Everyone was very nice and gave us great service.
Very kind, efficient, honest and good prices. Great to work with.
Last summer, this shop charged $75 to look at the a/c on my 89 Volvo 240....they quoted us like $1600 to tear it down and get it working. Ace Auto on College fixed it this weekend for $160, out the door. I think these guys just didnt want to mess with it....didnt stop them from pocketing $75 though.
Great people and highly competent auto and auto air techs. Highly recommended. Thank you very muchTook my older Prius in for a/c fix and they did it in hour or less. Special thanks to Bob and front office support staffJoe
They do good work and stand behind it.
My husband works for Dons. They were disappointed that they had not met Mr. Schultz need. They looked up the documentation and found that the charge for checking the 89 Volvo 240s a/c was $45, not $75, and the estimate for repair was $338. Its possible Mr. Schultz had Dons confused with quotes from other shops. This shop is run with integrity and their goal is to make their customers happy when they have to spend money on auto repairs.
Hands down, this is the place in Springfield to get your vehicle worked on! The employees and technicians are honest and friendly, which allows for a no-pressure auto repair experience. I tell everyone that I know about Dons and would recommend them to anyone in need of auto repairs or maintenance!
I drive an older 66’ Ford pickup and I wanted AC installed. I was told that my “project” wouldn’t even be considered until the fall because they are “concentrating on more important vehicles”. I guess I’ll take my “less important” buisiness somewhere else.
Ive been going to Dons for many years and they are always very pleasant to work with, their pricing is fair, their work is impeccable
Very fast repair price little high
First of all, it took them nearly 2 full weeks to get my 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo fixed. The car wouldnt start and it had a condition which caused batteries to go bad. It cost me $609 to get it fixed, and the mechanic Rob informed me that it still had a problem. I told him I had unhooked the stereo from the battery source and also that I had installed a JET performance tuning module. When I got the car back, the stereo had been disconnected from the back of the stereo head unit. Rob denied any knowledge of this. He said that he did disconnect the JET module and asked me if I unhooked the amp. He said the car was still idling high. When I drove it, it didnt idle lower than 1500 RPMs so I brought the car back. He said that if he cut the yellow wire from behind my stereo, he could watch the RPMs go back down. Now, the car idles fine, but the stereo has no sound. Rob told me I would have to take it to an auto audio store. Also, once I checked over the vehicle, I found a missing vacuum plug cap and two grease stains.
Fixed my van tire stud. Thank you
Have taken various vehicles here for many years. Very friendly and honest staff.
Did a good job.
