Pep Boys in Spring Hill Dr. are undoubtedly on the list of honest mechanics. I just moved to the area and both myself and my wife have needed service and repair work on our vehicles a few times. They have not failed to be direct, honest and have never overcharged us for doing an excellent job. Just built a house in a different town but will continue to drive to Spring Hill to Pep Boys for my maintenance and repair needs. Highly recommended!!

First of all: Thank you to Aaron who was very professional and able to waive the cost of an oil changeI dropped my car off here at noon on Saturday, for a flat tire repair, brake inspection and an oil change. I was not contacted to give an estimate or any status of my service. I called at 6 and was told “yep it’s done” only to find out when I get there that my flat tire isn’t fixed in fact no work was done except an oil change, although was told that Roger had given me a call which I never received. I was quoted at $1150 because I was told I need four new tires and new brakes. I asked if my flat tire could be repaired to which the cashier said “I don’t know I didn’t ask” I then replied “so instead of asking, you just tried to upsell me on four new tires” he then admitted that was what they were trying to do. The cashier then asked if I wanted to drive the car with a FLAT TIRE home and handed me my keys. Poor customer service and I’m sure when I go to pick up my car on Sunday there will be another issue.

Nathan and Chris were fantastic. We were in town on vacation and realized our car we leave down here was leaking coolant. There were appointments available for the next day which happened to be a Sunday. They got it it right in and I’m back on the road! Thank you both for hanging around a little past close to finish it up too! Good guys! Go BILLS!

This location is dishonest and liars!! I took my Explorer in for an oil change, before driving back to New York on 6/4. After the mechanic took the car in, the man at the desk told me I needed new brakes and said the pads were very low. I was surprised for 2 reasons: 1- I had not felt a change in the brakes and 2- I had my mechanic in NY check my car for my trip to Florida 5 weeks earlier. He would not let me take a road trip if the brakes were not good. I declined the new brakes for $800 - it didnt feel right. I am back in NY and took the car in for 55,000 check up at the dealer- made a point to them to check brakes. I was told MY BRAKES ARE FINE AND WILL BE GOOD FOR AWHILE. When the mechanic brought my keys and paperwork to the desk the man at the desk started to complete. He then got interrupted by a man who was after me. He put my papers aside and did his. After he left he proceeded to do someone else - who was not even waiting, but at home. I went up and he couldnt even find my papers and keys! He also had a sarcastic tone to the mechanic when talking about what oil I use. I am extremely disgusted with the service at this location. I went here because of a wonderful experience I had at Pep Boys on N. Dale Mabry. I DO NOT recommend this location and will never go back!!

Had to call 3 times to get an estimate for some work on my vehicle. They never returned my calls. The counter worker said that they were busy and did not have time to get me an estimate. When I drove by they had 3 cars in the work bays, and they did not seemed that busy..Hate to see what kind of customer service they have if you went back for warranty work..NEVER AGAIN..waste of time calling them.

Made an appointment on a Sunday at 11AM for an oil change and wheel alignment. 6 hours later the service never happened and when asked why Aaron said since I wasn’t going to stay and wait for the service that they kept pushing it back. Needless to say they are very unprofessional and on top of that when I went to pick up the car the key was left on the counter with no one at the front desk. Any person could’ve came in and stole my vehicle. DONT USE THEM FOR YOUR CAR SERVICES!!

Really great place!! The staff was super nice and everyone was chill. I walked in on a busy Monday and even though they had other people in front of me who scheduled an appointment, and still was able to get my car fixed up. Great place, you don’t find many people like these anymore!

The worst experience I’ve had EVER getting my vehicle repaired! We brought my car in for a steering issue since they quoted us cheaper than Ford. We brought it in on a Thursday and it was done that Saturday. However, my car did not register the part that they put in my vehicle so I was told to bring it in that Wednesday so they could put a Ford part in, at no charge. Well, Wednesday morning we drop my car off and leave the key and information in their drop box (I was told to do so if it was before they opened). 3:00 rolls around that day and I hadn’t heard from them so I called and nobody new my car was even there. Didn’t know why it was there. Turns out nobody ordered the right part yet! So, I picked up my car that day and was told it was being ordered and they would call me when it was in. 2 weeks later it still has not been fixed and nobody ever called me. I had to keep calling. I finally got a hold of Jo ( the manager) on a Thursday and brought my car in Friday. That Saturday at 5:00 i called since nobody called me to let me know my vehicle was done. Turns out it was done. Went to pick it up and my vehicle didn’t start! The guy immediately said it was my key fob without even going in my vehicle to see what it was doing. A hour later they get the battery in my key changed out and it didn’t not fix the problem. I was told they would have to figure it out the next day since they were closing. Mind you my husband dropped me off. I had to ask the man 3 times to try jumping my vehicle because my husband had to come pick me up. Turns out, I waited a hour for them to realize it was my battery that was dead! This is the place I always take my vehicle but their customer service and service all together has gone down hill. I will never take my vehicle here and do not suggest anyone else.

Had a frustrating time there, I had booked an appointment for later the same day, I drive 40 minutes to get there, and I walk in and was told they couldn’t take me and I had to reschedule and that they “tried” to contact me. They had 3 hrs to contact me and waited until just before my appointment, and I had actually called them because I thought I was going to be late, but they put me on hold for like 10 minutes and I ended up arriving before they even got to me. So if you go to this location, I recommend booking as far in advance and for a spot early in the day so they can’t reschedule you. But I do understand that things happen and they could have been short staffed. But there was no excuse for not contacting me sooner about my appointment.

My Experience was great fast service with a appointment. Oil change was about a half hr. Faster than other places I have been to.

Waited for 3 hours my first visit for tires (I had an appointment) and they put on the wrong tires. Aaron was somewhat overwhelmed and had NO help at the front counter. I waited 6 days for a call back, so I called to make an appointment for the switch to correct tires. Had an appointment for 12:00 on Saturday (10 days after mix up), was promised van by 4:00, it was ready shortly after 5:00.Although Joseph corrected the mistake-with no charge and Aaron worked to get us out as quickly as possible, I feel this store needs more front end (counter) assistance and defiantly some costumer relation training. They made things right but I had to be the one to follow up- they did not!**Dont take in more than you can do in a day!!!

Went in for rotate/balance, vehicle is worse, wouldnt recommend them to fix a tricycle. I took van into another establishment who informed me that all four tires needed weight, from 1 ounce, up to 2 ounces.All pep boys did obviously was rotate my tires, no balancing done,TOTAL RIPOFF ESTABLISHMENT

Good prices!!! customer service not so good took almost 2 1/2 hours to put 4 tires on and balance them 🤪 at home in my garage I rotated my tires in 20 minutes

We have 4 cars and they all go to Pep Boys. My Durango had recently got new tires installed from Pep Boys and I love them, the installation was quick, Pep Boys hooked up my sensors, and I have no complaints. Steven B. is one of the mechanics who often works on our cars when they are there, and he is always very attentive and prompt. I definitely recommend Pep Boys for services like new tires, wheel installation, oil changes, and check engine light diagnosis!

Have only gotten my oil changed here a couple times but it was done well. i have never understood why it takes more than an hour for an oil change,, even with an appointment. good coupons.

While my children were cleaning my car this morning, they discovered a screw in the sidewall of my left rear tire. I was on a major time crunch as I had to leave for work in less than an hour. No problem for these awesome gentlemen. They had my tires in stock, and the price was extremely fair. They immediately got my car in, tires on, and back on the road. Today they really put the “pep” in Pep Boys. Thank you for a great job.

3+ hours for an oil change is ridiculous, especially after making an appointment for 1. I have been to this location several times and have had great customer service but today was awful. The representative that checked me in was John and he was rude when I greeted him. He acted like I was another inconvenience in his day which continued into my phone call that I just made to get a status update on my vehicle. Poor customer service and turn around time will make me think twice about returning to this location.

Got 4 tires for a great price.

I dropped my tire off on Thursday afternoon to get a new tire, I called Friday afternoon, the tire was not ready, when I got there I was told they couldn’t be put it the tire on for me, It would have taken about 5 minutes to put it on.

My experience was good. Did watch a tech fry a starter and tell this guy his starter was bad. Not keen on that but it is what it is.

The pep boys service was impeccable I received a very quick easy transition on getting my new tires installed couldnt ask for a better job.

They were very helpful and great price on tires they did all four great price not a long wait

I had a nail in my tire and needed to get in to have it patched. They got me in, and took my car right away. The staff was professional and courteous. I had my newborn with me, so they helped me to my car and left it running for me so it wouldn’t be hot for him. Never been to a Pep Boys before, but I’ll definitely use them again. Thanks, guys!

Great service on an install for 4 tires. Dropped off vehicle at 2 and picked up before 6. No complaints, very pleasant and professional staff. While it might cost a few buck more, it has unmatched warranty and included additional services such as included disposal,TPMS and lifetime rotation with 1 year roadside service.

Went for tires. Nice people, my car actually went in for servicing at my appointment time. Took a bit less than an hour. Spending a few hundred bucks on tires is never fun but they made it as painless as possible.

The sales guy at the counter did not remember me having an appointment. After my car was done and seeing me he still asked if I had an appointment . I understand times are different but I your gonna make most outside in the heat at least offer me water. I will never go there again

Pep Boys has a deal with amazon where you can buy tires from amazon and they send the tires to Pep Boys for the install. Service was done in a timely manner, they added the road hazard warranty with no issues and I got the lifetime alignment deal that they offer which is nice. The customer waiting area was clean and well kept. They have coffee, tea, and condiments for customers who are waiting for there vehicles to be finished. They were 25 minutes past my appointment time when my vehicle was taken in but they were slammed busy so I’m not gonna knock a star off for that. They did a good job on the tires and the alignment, I did a alignment test(remove your hands from the wheel and let the vehicle steer itself) and it stayed straight. I would definitely go back to them for future tire work. A+

My son who is visiting from Detroit had the rain shield detach from the bottom of his vehicle. These guys at Pep Boys trimmed the rain shield so that the dragging would stop and charged a very modest price. That was totally awesome. I would recommend these guys. Great service

Went online looking for tires. Website said this location had my size and brand in stock. Made an appointment but when I arrived, jerk behind counter said they didnt have those tires and tried to get me to buy a very expensive alternative. Drove a few miles down to Tire Depot on Spring Hill Dr and got the tires I wanted for less money. Pep Boys is a total scam.

Really enjoyed the service that the front desk offered. He was very nice, asked and answered questions. Went in for an oil chance, had a discount which is nice since mine are always so expensive. Ended up having to get a battery which is no big deal because I knew it was going to happen at some point soon. They were able to get it installed same time as the change. Would highly recommend!

It was alright i made a appointment for tires and stuff got there they didnt have tires the guy ordered some told me they would be in the next day got there the next day and a different fuy told me my tires didnt come in that they would be there the next day so the 3rd day of driving there i finally got my tires

Made an appointment for my wife to take my truck up and get tires put on. They never greeted her like professionals. Said hope you are ready to spend 2 hours with me. Said because of my custom wheels and tire size it was gonna be that long. These were 35 inch tires on a 16 inch wheels. Much easier to do than low profile tires. Every tire person would know this. Anyway went up the road and was in and out in 30 minutes with no appointment. You should value your customers time. This is why appointments are scheduled. Never again will we step foot in this place.

Dave and his team came in clutch for me. On a Sunday afternoon, two and a half hours before they close, and with no appointment, they got me new rear brake pads and rotors in an hour and a half for a good price. Great shop would recommend.

Bought two tires for my car. Had to order the tires and got them sooner than expected! Jose and David provide excellent, knowledge based customer service, and have excellent employees. The guys in the back actually care about what they do and doing the right thing. Will definitely return for the other two tires.

Oil change with NOT ENOUGH OIL!!! Low oil light kept coming on day after change...NEW Car too...engine not leaking and spotless... Had to take back to fill...UNBELIEVABLE!

Pep Boys is always surprising me. A few weeks ago I was given a great price on a oil service. Today I brought vehicle in because I had a screw in the tire. 30 minutes later I went to check out and they handed me the keys and said this one is on us. I was pleasantly surprised. I will pay it forward soon.

I would never do business at this place again. They did work on my sons car didn’t even put the car back together properly we had nothing but problems with it. Had to bring it back three times to have the alignment done the right way. I normally never leave bad reviews but this place is not good do not go here.

Date of service 1/18/20 Oil change and fluid service not done properly I had to return the next day and the wrong coolant was added to my car I then called of the stench of fumes from the fluid that was put in my car. Beware service tech there is not aware of what brand coolants to use, there’s different types depending on your car. I was a long time pepboys customer they lost my business because of this.

Amazing shop, mechanics actually take their time, there is a window you can see your vehicle from and lounge is clean. Had 4 tires installed on my Fiat and was glad I took it there.

I paid 1/2 of what I expected to pay. They have always given my car the best quality care and go above and beyond. They offer discounts from various clubs and manufacture without you having to ask. I highly recommend!

Took my car in recently to get the belts replaced. First when I arrived Pete and Dave got me checked in immediately, i even remarked how fast this was in comparison to a doctors visit. They confirmed the belts needed replacement and ordered the necessary parts. The wrong parts were delivered causing a delay. Pete and Dave kept me constantly updated as to the progress on my vehicle and showed genuine concern for my time. Once the correct parts arrived, they immediately installed them and even compensated me for the inconvenience on my time. Really appreciate the outstanding customer service that Pete and Dave gave me! Id gladly return to this location and recommend this Pep Boys!

I would not even give a star if that were an option. I called last Wednesday or Thursday to order a front tire for our car. My husband and I had an appointment at 2 on Saturday went in there we waited about 15-20 minutes. And then we were pulled to the side to inform us that are tired never showed up. We were running on our spare tire which was going flat. Over the course of the years we have always gotten our tires from Pep Boys and have spent thousands of dollars. I think it was very rude and inconsiderate and unprofessional that they could not even give us at least a courtesy phone call to let us know that our tire did not show up. We will never go back to Pep Boys again.......... what a disappointment

Polite service clerk...slow people in garage more talk then work. Took 2+ hours to put 4 tires on. I asked to keep the tires and they forgot to put them in truck bed. Took so long I didnt bother was pushing my time for another appointment. Ask if they had a discount for oil change as I had just spent 800+ on tires and nothing offered and wanted more then a dealership I go to for simple oil change...

We were down visiting from out of state and rain shield under our car came off partially. They checked it out for us and determined everything else was fine but the guard could not be reattached. They cut off the broken part for us and did not even charge us. It was busy and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes.

Had a break job done here a week ago. Service was excellent, I was in-out in less than a hour. No slackin grease monkeys here, only friendly professionals that wont try and up-sell you on head light fluid. The customer lounge was also great comfortable seating, big TV, and free WiFi. Called about 2pm looking for an oil change. Jerry told me we are booked today but if you come down and dont have a problem waiting we can fit you in between the 2 & 3pm appointments.
