I had some problems with brakes from an accident a few months ago. I’ve had them worked on before I went to Consumer Car Care and was still having a lot of problems with the brakes. I went to the barbecue that Consumer Car Care held on Saturday for Fathers Day and I talked with the owner and some of the other staff there about what happened to my car and that I was leaving for my honeymoon on Sunday. I brought it in Tuesday evening and on Wednesday afternoon they called to let me know that it was ready. They went through everything, found the issues, and fixed them so quickly! They really wanted to make sure that we were safe on our trip, that means a lot to me. The car runs better than new! I will absolutely be back and I will be recommending Consumer Car Care to everyone!

After trying to fix a noise in the front end of my 2015 KIA Soul, that neither my KIA dealer nor Goodyear could identify or find, I brought my car to Dave at Consumer Car Care.Within 20 minutes he identified and diagnose the issue.Today I had it repaired. All told I saved nearly $100 as compared to Goodyear.Should be noted I never had an estimate done by KIA because their mechanics are on Commission. No kidding.KIA wanted $150 to road test the vehicle to determine the issue. I said No. Their logic was that they don’t “do estimates” for free regardless I left with the same problem.I then visited Goodyear and paid $65 to Identify the front end noise. They COULD not.I left there with the same problem I rolled in with.I will return to Consumer Car care and Dave as I know them to be honest, skilled, caring, thorough and they will NOT let your car leave until it’s fixed.You might call me a Fan.Paul- Springhill

A lot of my friends go there so I needed a transmission flush on my car since it has 78,000 miles on it. I was greeted by the owner David, who also works on the cars and is a nice guy and made an appt. I got a call from him saying that according to the manual, due to my driving conditions, I do not need one but he will check it just to make sure. Its not an easy job checking it because it does not have a dip stick. He calls me back and says it looks fine and I do not need one. He said he couldnt see taking my money. I am bringing my car there from now on.

Iam a mechanic and havent had acess to a alignment machine i dont usually let others work on my car but these people are the best no bs just work i recomend 100%

Over 13 years David has been fair and honest with me concerning my car repairs.

I was told about this place from a friend. They have been amazing! 1st it was a belt and pulleys that needed to be fixed and replaced. Then I also brought them my truck to have them do both front and back brakes. They worked me in both times and when I had another issue they took a look to check out what it was and did not charge me. They have gone above and beyond and have been very nice And honest. I now have my mother going to them for car repairs as well. If you need a good honest place to take your car they are definitely the ones to go to!

Never again! Went here last year for an oil change and they over torqued the oil filter cap. Next change it cracked trying to get loose. Yesterday went in for a trans fluid change. Was told busy, needed appointment and out of the brand needed for my car. Set up appointment for today. They called later that day and said product was in, come early if you want. Arrived a little early and was told it would be 2 hours. Left number for them to call if finished early. Came back 2 hours later. Heard excuses about another car’s issues and would try to get in soon. Didn’t even bother calling to tell me it would be delayed. Took keys and told him I’ll never be back. Guess they don’t need the business. Don’t waste my time!!

I moved here from NC and you know how hard it is to find an Honest mechanic. I went to Consumer Auto on a recommendation from a friend.I have a 2007 F150 supercab. Needed a tune up and to have it checked out.I have worked on cars since I was 12 {I am 72 now} so I know a little about them. Dave was GREAT....Did I say GREAT....They checked out my truck and did what I asked for and contacted me along the way with any suggestions they had and why....Dave went the extra mile on my truck and VERY fair on price. My truck runs great now. Getting ready to take a trip to Gulf Shores, AL. Had a very low tire. Called Dave. He was very busy but fit me in. Got it fixed and when I asked how much, he said nothing, and thanks for your business..This is an old school mechanic who knows his work and treats everyone like back in the day. Respect, honesty, and fair prices.I know there are a lot of good honest mechanics, but Consumer Auto I dont have to worry about unneeded repairs or price. So I recently rotated my tires and afterwards had a shimmy in the steering wheel. Called Consumer Car Care and was given an appointment the next morning at 8AM. I showed up at just before 8 and my car was taken into the bay within 10 minutes of arriving. I told them I just needed a balance on the from wheels and they didnt try to up sell any additional services. The whole process was smooth and easy and the staff are incredibly polite. The job was done withing 15 minutes and after a drive to the airport on the interstate the vehicle was completely stable and smooth. The amazing part is that the technician that worked on the car managed not to even slightly scuff my newly painted rims. Im more than happy with the service they provided today and with how polite they are. They even actually torqued my lug nuts down to the proper numbers by the manual instead of impacting them on. I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest mechanic with fair pricing. Great job!!!!

I am very pleased with the service here. One day I walked in to get a quote for my A/C, and a fair price was provided to me within minutes based on an expert at another location. Scheduling is also very fast and flexible. When my car was in the shop, the owner called me and told me the issue was a hose instead of a compressor, and the total cost was about $450 instead of the original $970. Everything still works great, this was about 2 months ago. Very pleasant, honest, and trustworthy establishment.

Went above and beyond on my heater core replacement. Noticed 2 days later that my traction control button was repaired...i knew it had to be done but havent had the time to take care of it. What a surprise to learn that its been taken care of. Thanks so much!

Driving through on vacation noticed my brakes were grinding. Store manager gave thorough inspection and honest pricing. Highly recommend! We were able to get new pads and back on the road under an hour. I didnt realize the shop was actually closed but stayed open for us. Thanks Dave!!!

The guy was very nice and got the work done in a few hours the price was over 100 higher then what I could of paid going to dealer but it was kinda worth the little extra to help a local business but next time Ill go to dealer for better price.

We have had a few issues with our vehicles and by far this has been the best place to get our vehicles repaired.No one ever wants to have to have a car repaired but I appreciate all of the honesty and great treatment when we do have to bring on into Consumer Car Care. We will not bring our cars to anyone else since we found them.

I had a 10:00 A.M. appt today, was there on time. Told them I would have someone bring me over to pick it up. 1:30 and they had not even started on it. I was told there were others before me, however, there was noone there when I arrived. It was only for a oil change and to look at my trunk door for a opening problem. I shall never bring my car there again. They are not reliable. There are much better places than this.

This place is really bad if you want your car kept for more than a week with nothing done to the car, this is the place to go if you want terrible service..... the ladys attitude in the front desk its the worst. I dont understand how this place is still up and running it should be shut down anybody that gives this place a good review is definitely family. I would never go back to this place...

Horrible experience dont take your vehicle theyre. I had my van towed there it ended up being the battery. OK. But then Dave the owner says oh the brakes got to be done never gave me a written estimate.Then $600. Later much of bull over priced work. Then go to pick up my van then he says oh the caliper is bad too which there was nothing wrong with the caliper when I went in .they already put it on without my permission. Another $100 dollars .theyre a rip off I have personally talked a mechanic that worked there they are on commission the more dishonest work they do the more $ they make.I cant stress enough Do not take your car there!! I would give them a negative 5 stars if possible. I hope they go out of business. And they know who exactly who I am.

Where do I start, its actually very sad that there are places out there that just want to milk you. Especially when they know your a single parent with three kids.Brakes turned into $1,000 worth of work. Get my car(Ford Explorer) back, oh wait be back here Monday morning because it made a loud noise when it got over 45mph. Oh and its serious, your tire could fly off. Why bring it back to me then? $50 spent for Dave to drive my car home to me when I needed to bring it back in a day later. Why bring it back to me? Did you need that $50 that badly? If I couldnt drive it, then how could I use it for emergencies? Made no sense but I kept my mouth shut and I trusted him. I freaking trusted him!! He said he pays his mechanics more than any place around here and just made himself seem trust worthy. So, Im like ok well he must be a good guy. I really thought damn near $1,000 was too much but I figured he knew what he was doing.Dave told me they give free rides home from the shop but when I got there said it wouldnt be too long. 5 hours later with a bored three year old and very stressed mommy, my car was done....not! Oh and no offer to bring me home when I got there.The mechanic(Dave doesnt work on the cars, I guess) forgot to put on my rear view mirror. I told the guy and he gave me a serious attitude, flung my car in reverse and took off back into the shop. I felt so embarrassed. Like, maybe I shouldnt have said anything but I paid for it to be put back on. Another hour goes by and Im finally leaving.When I first drove off the lot I noticed the passenger door sounded creaky. Almost like something was in the door or the door was open. I checked it out but didnt see anything. I also noticed that my car was driving bad. Now, like I stated, Im broke and have kids...luckily my mom covered this bill but I had to pay it back. So, I really didnt want to go back into the shop.Fast forward not even a month later and the check engine light is now on, car smells like gasoline really bad, while its idled or while Im driving. My car now sounds likes its going to die on me and feels this way. You know that grumble sound a car makes when its about to die, well that but also the fumes. Omg the gas smell is so bad.I go back in and also tell Dave about the rude guy. He seems like hes not interested in what Im saying. So much so that he literally wakes out the door of the office while Im talking to him. He also asks me if I start my car with my garage door shut. Really? Well thanks for basically telling my you think Im a co plate idiot but no I dont.So, he tells me that somethings broken(I forget what, hedge cap or something idk) and its going to cost $387 but I asked him if that would fix the gas smell and my car wanting to break down and the service engine light. He didnt feel what i was talking about and apparently didnt smell the gas. Which everyone else can smell. He didnt even tell me if that $387 would fix my problem. I told him that I just finished paying off the last bill and cant afford this. He says hell take off $80 but I can go on google and make good review.So, long story yes I know but I had to get everything out here.Oh to top it off, I paid $70 to get it towed to the shop(the very first time)...my sisters car broke down at Walmart yesterday. To get it towed 4 miles was $35. Im 3.4 miles from Consumer. So, why was it $70? He definetly is not the good person I thought he was. He I thought he was doing me favors when really he was just taking all my money and apparently breaking stuff in my car. Oh and the rear view mirror wasnt put on correctly. I told him a piece that needs to be on it was still siting where my rear view was when the guy put it on. He didnt offer to fix it. Even though I paid for this to be put on. So, yeah thanks for nothing. This is the kind of place people tell you to watch out for. Learn from my mistakes and all the other honest reviews on here. Just go somewhere else guys.

Im a service electrician with Taddeo electric, we work with alot of business owners and I was completely blown away with the outstanding service that David provided. I went to three other places with air coming out the Val stem. With a completely stocked service van looking for some where to take it in the afternoon on a Saturday, the place was closed David listened to me, I was working and needed the help so I could stay on shuedule. He said Ill help you out pull it around. He had someone help right away I was out of there in 10 mins, very professional, also told me about a future problem, David thank-you see you soon !!

Very unhappy return customer.Took my truck in for an oil change and to have them check the fog lights and interior lights.The bulbs for my lights where missing, Idk. On talking to the owner on a cost. I had them go ahead and install new bulbs in my truck.When mechanic brought my truck to the front I noticed that my passenger fog light lens was missing not just missing it was shattered and the drivers side lens was cracked.At this point Im not to happy. The first response I received from the owner is I brought it in like thar.I dont friggin think so. They looked for glass in the bay.and found none the shattered glass was in the parking lot. At this point Im really upset, the owner kept telling me they didnt break my lights. And to not get upset. And that I shouldnt be accusing them of breaking my lights.So the owner and the mechanic theorised that my fog light lens housing had water in them and when the mechanic turned them on it blew out the bulbs and lens shattering and destroying my lens housing, all the while telling me that the driver side lens cracks where from rocks.While telling me not be upset.Then the owner Dave had his mechanic remove the bulbs that where already installed in the interior of my truck., really how petty is that.My truck was in theyre care and it come out damaged. They were not taking any responsability for not checking to see that the housings were clean of debris and free of moisture.Now I have to pay the cost for all new fog lights and the money to have them installed.Ty consumer car care for making me out to be the bad guy for getting upset when you damaged my vehicle, weather it was moisture or whatever.Youre the Mechanics you should have checked the housings and lenses for damage and moisture before you worked on them.And yes I talked to two different mechanics this afternoon and they both said you should have cleaned out housing or at least checked the housing units for moisture and debris.Its sad that they didnt offer anything for the damage, and the owner actually had his mechanic take out the interior buld they already instilled.Fyi. When I made appointment I was told by the owner Dave that the oil change was$ 44.04 out the door, not to sure why I was charged $ 57.95 on my bill. ??. Maybe for the bulbs I dont have.

This guy is a rip off, He only tells you a little bit of what’s wrong so that way he can fix it and make you come back for a more expensive Fix later down the road

While out of town on vacation we had and issue with our front brakes. I knew they were getting close to needing service, but I was going to wait till we were back home and do the job myself. Well on the way back from an outing the cheaters started to squeal. At the recommendation of a relative I took my truck over to Consumer. This is a family owned business. I was pretty sure the front rotors were shot so I wasnt surprised when I was told they needed to be replaced. What did surprise me were the bad calipers. I was standing in the shop when they got back from the first test drive and was able to see first hand the brakes were locked up in the front. They got a new set of calipers and put them on. They got the job done in one day and the pricing was well with in the ballpark for a brake job with new rotors and new calipers. For honest, fairly priced, good service I would recommend Consumer Car Car with out a 2nd though.

My daughter brought her car in to get her power stealing fixed and all they did was painted it to make it look fixed and lubed it up to loosen it up to make it look fixed but a month later was doing the same thing rip off take advantage of women or customers who do not know anything about cars so sad abd very unprofessional never take your car there ever! I know this because we brought it to a honest shop and they showed us what they did just disgusting
