Above and beyond customer service. These folks reached out to me personally to solve any issues that we had. I cannot say enough about this place of business or the people that are behind it except that they all are extraordinary. I would recommend any of my automobiles to go to Five Mile Auto from this point forward. Thank you for all of the hometown love from a small shop in a big city. I own H2O Environmental Restoration Project And as a non-profit business we definitely know when people care and these nice folks truly care about you, your family, and your automobile.
Excellent service and reasonable price. A+
Stellar service. Needed a front wheel bearing for my grumbling Dodge Dakota with very little notice. The guys at 5 Mile immediately ordered the part and hustled to make the repair so I could drive from Spokane to Seattle later that day. My truck performed handsomely following the service. Staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. Highly recommend.
Just Great honest people to work with. Highly recommended. You can trust this business and the employees.
Took my car into 5 Mile Auto earlier this week. Replaced rear brakes and front struts on my SUV. Price came in significantly less than a competitor and I was happy to get the work done under my expected budget. While the work was being done, the staff was very communicative and informative of the process. I also really appreciated their ability to get me in so quickly. I told them they’d be my go to shop now. Great experience all around!
Friendly and fair service here. Highly recommended!
I had some work done on my 1978 FJ40 after a recommendation from a classic car mechanic. You walk in and they have all kinds of cool parts on display, the service was great, my FJ40 runs better and they even sent me a text afterwards to check in.
Great place to take your vehicle! I have an older SUV that is starting to need some repairs. They are always upfront and honest with us. Weve never been told something is wrong just so they could charge us more. In fact, they often times find ways to save us money. I wouldnt take my vehicle anywhere else.
Fast, friendly & professional! They help you through the process, finding out how best to help. I even got a ride while my car was being worked on.
Such a great experience! Highly recommend. I was sent over to Five Mile Auto by the neighboring bike shop, Bicycle Butler. I was in need of a hitch installation for my new bike rack. I went in on a Friday right before close, the gentleman was so nice to me. I really didn’t know too much about what I needed or what I was talking about, which can sometimes be annoying or frustrating to someone who does but the gentleman was so patient. He got my name, number, car make and model then he assured me that he would call around on Monday to get my car part ordered and then get me back in ASAP. We had everything in, ordered and put together by mid day Tuesday. When I dropped the car off they offered to give me a ride home if needed, they stayed almost completely on their time quote and 100% on their price quote. A+ experience. Thank you.
Brought my 97 4runner to 5 Mile auto because it certainly wasn’t running well! They took it in fixed the issue at had and went through everything else to make sure there wasn’t anything upcoming. I don’t work on this stuff so I was expecting to pay what I had to. I was totally surprised by the bill for all they did. I felt it was very reasonable and the 4runner hasn’t run this well in a very long time! Thank you and I will certainly be back!!
My experience at Five Mile Auto was the best. I brought my car in they fixed it and it is running great. Everyone was very nice. I got a ride to work then they picked me up when my car was done.
Absolutely love them. Del helped me with diagnostics and repairs so quickly. His customer service is amazing and he was incredibly patient. I will be returning with any car issues I have, thanks to the stellar customer service and great prices. They are easily the best auto shop in town.
Ive been to alot of shops in Spokane, but this place had the opportunity to completely rip me off for about $700...and didnt!!! They were honest and my car didnt need as much work as another shop suggested, the work need was only $100.00 the other shop was gonna charge me $1200.00!!! So Im bringing all my vehicle needs to these guys!!!
Always excellent and personal service from the guys at Five Mile Auto. The guys here are knowledgeable and skilled and I would take any of my vehicles here for any service they offer.
I was passing through town on a business trip and ended up with the shield under my car dragging on the road. The guys here squeezed me into their schedule and were able to have me up and running again in no time! Darren and Cliff helped me out and I really appreciate how friendly and timely they were. Seems to be a great shop and I would definitely stop in here again if needed in the future.
These guys were great! Had my truck repaired the same day and twice as fast as I would’ve expected. Great service, courteous, approachable staff and nice range of aftermarket products in the storefront. Thanks 5-mile Auto!
These guys do great work! Three times this year I have taken various car parts here to have some work done for me, as I do not have a large press for pushing bearings and bushings in and out. I dropped the parts off without an appointment, and they had them done that day two out of three times. The third time they had them done the next business day. Theyre also HONEST! They feared they MAY damage the bearings they had to remove to install new rotors, so I provided them new ones. They did the job, said the existing bearings were in good condition, and didnt need replacing. I recommend this place for your automotive repair needs, but I also recommend you call in advance if possible.
Had a great experience with Five Mile Auto center, had a issue with my truck and they found the problem right away and for a fair price it was fixed perfectly. Steve was a great help and was very professional. Highly recommend this company for any car issues.
We take our cars here. We have for 20 yrs. Great service.
I have always had a good experience @ 5 Mile Auto. There has been a couple times that there’s been an oil leak but both times it turned out to be residual off of the brush guard. Both times once it was brought to their attention it was dealt with immediately. They are alway extremely helpful explaining things, they are very knowledgeable & can find what I’m looking for with my descriptions. After purchasing a set of new tires, I was tied up @ home with a new Dish equipment install through out. To the rescue! They took payment over the phone & sent a couple guys to bring my truck home to me. WOW! Above & beyond! Thank you, to all the staff @ 5 Mile Auto!!
Great people, excellent work, decent prices! Thanks Darrin and Ryan for all your help and kindness when my one-year-old daughter and I rolled into your shop with a blown radiator and no where to go. You were able to store my car in your shop for the weekend and had it ready to go the following Monday!
These guys are the BEST! They always get us worked in (even if its an unexpected drop-off). The vehicles are always fixed right the first time; we have NEVER had to bring a vehicle back because something wasnt quite right. Their prices are VERY reasonable. Theyre the only people we let touch our cars! Thank you for incredible service!
We suspect one issue and they found it to be another which saved us hundreds of dollars. We found them to be dependable, fast, and honest. We would go to them again.
There team is always there and ready to help even with custom things I did with my truck. Also your shuttle service is a big reason why I come here makes things a lot easier. Thanks for all the hard work you do!
I’ve been using Five Mile Auto for over ten years. There are a locally owned & operated business. They offer quality parts & friendly service at competitive prices. They are conveniently located and have convenient hours allowing early drop-off. The mechanics are all certified and able to work on most brands of cars. They have extensive experience in hybrids and can service your RV.
Had this place misquote me pricing by phone. Then in the process of fixing my vehicle recieved a call the next day for a quote for signed with agreement jump from $300.00 to $1500.00 for the same job. To complete it would be far more labor intensive than originally expected apparently. When it was suppose to be finished I recieved a call of more bad news. Theyd damaged the cast iron head on my truck by incorrectly drilling. I was informed they werent at fault because there was a hairline fracture preexisting so it wouldve happened anyways. So instead of taking responsibility for their actions they made up a lie to cover their tracks. Then quoted me just shy of $3000.00 just to fix their mistake. $300.00 became what would be a $4,380 dollar job if there were no other hiccups. I was forced to take them to small claims, and did get my money back they charged of $700.00 for the labor they charged me to damage my vehicle so I could tow it from their shop. Then their insurance also paid right before court to settle for the other almost $3000.00 dollars in damage to my trucks engine. I showed up to court, and read the statement of everything that happened. One of the owners came. The honorable Fassbender didnt seem to have any care for what kind of lousy service, lies, and bait & switch on pricing. Never even recieved an apology. These kinds of actions, and business practices are despicable.
Five Mile Auto did a wonderful job on my vehicle. They were able to get my vehicle in right away and finished the job a hundred dollars less than what they initially quoted me for. When my vehicle was finished, Marc (Service Advisor), informed me of the specific work the staff did to the vehicle, why it was less money than what they quoted me for, and clearly took pride in the work he and Five Mile Auto do. I would definitely recommend this place and would bring my vehicle back again.
Special thanks to owner Steve and his superb employees (Mark and others of his technical team) for caring, conscientious service. My vehicle would not start in a nearby parking lot and was stranded--simply would not crank over... .I walked into Five Mile Auto center nearby and spoke to owner Steve. Without an appointment or being a prior customer, he responded right away taking my keys and work order, telling me someone would bring my car in and check it out that afternoon.Only charged me a standard diagnostic fee and am back on the road again. AAA integrity here. This was a superb, positive experience -- thank you Five Mile Auto Center!
We have dealt with 5-mile auto for years and have never had a bad experience there! Everybody is welcoming and fair, and the job is always done to your satisfaction! I am very particular with my vehicles and will not take them to just any place for service-Except 5-mile Auto!
We have been using 5 Mile Auto for about 10 years now. The two things I really like about them are 1) They are sharp mechanics. 2) They are honest people who stand behind their work. I will not take my cars anywhere else.
Amazing work on my car! It runs like a dream!!
One of the best auto shops in spokane I take all my vehicles there and they fix em right every time. Im very greatfull I cannot afford to break down.
I have been using this shop for 20 years for things that I didnt have time to do myself or lacked knowledge. They are honest and always get it right. I recommend them whenever people ask me: wheres a good shop to take your car to?
Kinda expensive not big on communication
Motorcycle tire went flat right outside. Went in to ask if they had a flat tire repair kit. They did not. All they had was fix a flat, which is specifically warned NOT to use on motorcycles. They sold it to me anyway, while being generally unhelpful and completely uncommunicative. Almost surly even. Worst case, they could have, in a friendly fashion, told me not to use the fix a flat, and kindly sent me on my way with some general consideration. Best case, they could have offered to help me plug my tire. They are an auto shop. Seems like tire plugs are something they should have.
Honest and Fair, very nice work on my van.
Great staff for all your high performance needs!
We took our car there to get the brakes changed after the heavy snows. While they had our car, someone rolled the window down and up. The rubber track for the window was loose, and tended to get in the way. Instead of stopping when they felt the resistance and adjusting the rubber to put the window back on track, they forced it to roll open. When we got the car back, the window was jammed and couldnt be rolled up or down. We explained the situation politely, and said that they hoped that this was the kind of business where they would make it right. Apparently, it was too much to hope for. We got a call later on in the day saying that the switch was worn out, and it would cost one hundred and seventy dollars to fix. They would not acknowlegde the fact that the switch worked fine before they had the car in their care, or that forcing a stuck window to close would probably wear out an electric switch. They were rude and unaccommodating, and all we wanted was for them to fix what they had broken. I would not recommend this auto mechanic if you are looking for trustworthy service.Edit: As a reply to Ethans post, the window WAS broken. The switch was not. In order to roll the window fully down, you had to move the rubber track a little so that the window would roll down smoothly. The problem was that they forced it to roll down. We wanted them to fix the brakes, which should not have involved the window at all. And fixing the switch would not have fixed the window. Please dont accuse people of scamming without facts. If you want me to be specific, then they should have noticed the resistance, not felt it. My mistake.
These guys are great! I dropped my truck off one morning without an appointment, and they got me worked in. The prices are great, and theres never been a problem after the service!
They were super helpful when I got locked out of my car. Friendly and understanding
They took great care of me when my truck was coming up on its 30k service. Quick scheduling and Im sure it was far under dealership pricing.
Dont go to them find another AES.Mazda dont run any better. All said and done. $152 to them $150 to cops cus not tabs . Ill try to get them tomorrow. Did I say 3hrs for nothing go to another store . Youll do better
If you want a good deal in town this is the place to go. Great service and the best prices
A Master mechanic and a parts changer are two different things!!!Im not going to use them again 🤬🤬
Knowledgeable people there, prices okay. Do really great work!
Great service, honest and super friendly to my toddler who asked a lot of questions!!
Good ol fashioned speed shop
Outstanding service, company, workers and owners! Highly recommended to all 👍🏻
Took my Nissan 300zx in here after I mis-installed my timing belt. They charged a $500 flat rate for the timing belt job, which was unecessary, since the valves in the engine were destroyed. They stated, after working on the car for a week, that an idler stud was broken and needed replacement. After all is said and done, I pick up my still broken car, and pay the shop for parts and labor (parts that werent even installed on the car, but I was refunded later for these after going in again later). As I walk out the door, the guy at the desk said my brand new, ~$200 autotensioner, broke. Immediately I knew whatever tech worked on my car accidently broke the tensioner, by reinstalling it improperly, which is easy to do if you dont know what youre doing. I also contacted various 300zx experts, asking IF the autotensioner could brake due to loss in tension. They all said that if the tensioner was properly installed, which it was, then a tech likely improperly adjusted the tensioner gap with an adjustment screw, breaking the hydraulic cylinder in the tensioner.I also contacted the company who manufactured the upgraded chromoly idler stud that supposedly broke, and was informed that to break, the stud would have needed around 9,000 lbs of force before it would bend not break.Got the car back, timing components half assembled, which was annoying but not too bad, since I replaced the engine myself anyway.Tl;dr: Shop lied to me about broken parts twice, probably assuming I didnt know anything about the car, still charged me full price for timing belt labor despite not fully reinstalling components afterward.Only go here if you need redline fluids, otherwise avoid at all costs. Everyone I know already wont go here since I told them what happened
100 degrees out wife locked keys in the car, Steve walked in the heat with me all the way to Waddells and back to unlock my car, the man is a Saint!! THANK YOU!!! 😀😀😀☺️😎😎😎
I had had a great service from these guys. that is why Im still bringing my car there.
