I just had the best experience Ive ever had. Mike went above and beyond is duty. Everything he recommended we get done, he gave me a visual confirmation that backed it up. He also cleaned the entire inside of the skid plate when it looked like something may have tried to make a home in there. Mike was very personable and made me feel at home. SCAMMERS !! BEWAREWent in for a oil change, coolant flush and air filter. They never bothered to do the coolant flush. Checked it a few days after and it was still the old coolant.. Also they used the old oil filter. It was still dirty and never touched!Called and was told that it was done properly lol CLOWNS !!!Charged me 200+$ never will be backFind a place with better reviews

I have been going to Big Rays for years all my vehicles come here,and my friends come here too..they are friendly and very honest,being a woman they never try and sell me stuff to make money,they have never taken advantage of me. I trust them with any of my cars/trucks. Excellent business.

I have my oil changed here regularly. Almost never a wait, employees are friendly and professional and prices are on par with other shops. Nice that they dont get pushy when it comes to extras like air filters and stuff like that. Best part is they dont make you feel bad if your oil is overdue for a change, they just do it!

Have been coming here for years. They are under new management and the change is noticeable. I always came here because they never pressured you. I feel like they took advantage of me because I am a woman and they were very pushy. Did not check tires or fill washer fluid. I just wanted to leave. Made all types of claims to get me to upgrade. Then told me right before filling the oil back up that I had an oil leak from the pan, which I know I did not have. They also told the other 2 cars that pulled in next to me the same thing. Scammers!!!!! He also told me he had to tell me something about my transmission fluid. He never even looked at it. Came around and when I told him it was just in the shop he said oh okay. I will never be back for any of my 3 vehicles. BEWARE!!!! I feel totally foolish and ripped off for allowing them to pressure me into what I got done.

I had the worst experience at Big Rays Oil Change located on 8 Mile rd In Southfield. The employees there seem to have no idea about how to simply communicate with one other on the customers behalf. I had my car in for a simple oil change and was immediately taken over by a sense that i was being taken advantage of because I am a woman. Nothing against any race but its just rude and unprofessional to talk in another language and laugh after you pressure sold me a $60 transmission flush at 28,000 miles. I dont take very kindly to being cheated out of my hard earned money, mostly so as I am a single mother of 3. I highly recommend you do not go to this place

Ive been taking my cars exclusively to Big Rays for oil changes and other maintenance for years now. They do good work, and at fair prices.Update: This place seems to have changed hands in the last couple years, and its just not the same. All of the friendly guys who used to work there are gone (not that the new guys are bad per se, but theyre definitely not as outgoing). And Ive since had my first problem with their work - I got my transmission fluid changed the last time I was in, and the tech overfilled it. I discovered this when I started seeing smoke coming from under the hood after exiting the freeway a couple days later. Of course, it cost me $50 and a trip to my mechanic to find out what the smoke was. My cars due for another oil change, and honestly, Ill probably look around for a new place.

I will not go back to this place. I asked that they check my tire pressure and the guy gave me some bs story about something on my tires are aluminum and that they break. In addition some of the items on the service check list was NOT done. I am truly disappointed in my service today and I will NOT refer anyone there as well.

I was a first-timer at this place. The staff was very knowledgeable and showed me everything that they were doing. They were very friendly and I will be back.

It was okay unfortunately they didnt carry the oil then I requested but I they did carrying a 5w 30 in a different name brand I provided them with the filter

First customer of the day and Manager was real nice and explain in details about oil change and different types of oil for my car. Got free air fresheners too. Id come again soon.

I usually change my oil myself, about $20 in supplies and wrench time. I didnt have my tools so I got my oil changed here. I drive a 4runner and the oil filter is a pain to take off. Not only did they do a good job, they were patient with the frustrating filter, gave me an air freshener and topped off my wiper fluid for $28! I will definitely use them for oil changes in the future!P.S. That negative comment about the oil change being 19.99 advertised, the sign clearly says more above 5 quarts...I asked for a quote before they touched my truck and it came in 3$ less than quoted.
