I have rented from Hertz a few times and I am thinking today will be last time. I received a car with bad wipers a few months back and after making a complaint about how they gave me an unsafe car, I was sent a $50 credit. I attempted to use credit today and I was denied because it said Thrifty, even though it came from Hertz, where I initailly rented. The person at the store couldnt really provide a good explanation about why my credit was not accepted, other than we dont take those here. My last couple of experiences at this location have been beyond terrible and if I could give less than 1 star I would. I called corporate and got zero results. The only reason I rented from there today is the credit I had. I know to rent elsewhere from now on. It’s said that one of the easiest things to be in the world is nice and this location even managed to fail at that.

**BAD EXPEREINCE** Hertz has a policy of non-smoking cars and when I rented a car last week, Hertz representative inspected the car before handing car keys to me and asked me no smoking in the car. But, the irony is that car itself had a strong smell of smoke at the get-go. When I informed this to Hertz Rep., he said there is no smell and we are all good. I have not smoked ever, and it gives me headache if I smell cigarette smoke for long period of time. I even used car air freshener but it did not help. I had to drive this car with windows open throughout my trip. I did not had good experience at this Hertz location, and probably not coming back here.
This review is targeted towards just one particular male staff there. I had a reservation and had planned a long trip ahead. I enter this location and the guy was as rude as anyone can be. He said there are no cars available and he will call me when there are cars. I sat there, tried calling enterprise and reserved a car with them. Then as I was seeing a couple of cars being returned, I went back to ask again, but the same person mentioned he wont give me the car with no reason. He just said NO rudely. Fortunately for me, another staff guy with glasses heard our conversation and asked why cant I be given the Mazda CX-5 behind the office, then the guy hesitantly agreed to give it to me. I should thank that other person a lot for helping me out that day. But I certainly experienced serious hostility with the way the other guy who was at the desk on 2nd July 2021 between 8:30AM and 9:30AM, during my visit. Such people can damage Hertzs good reputation in just one meeting. I had great image of Hertz till this instance occured. Hope you understand what I am saying. Please take necessary action.
I had a reservation got there they didn’t have the car I wanted and the guy that work there is rude and didnt give a care about helping me out the customer service was horrible dont rent here go anywhere else whats the point of making a reservation when they aint gone accommodate you anyways…!!! Worst experience ever avis got me right together down the street book with them instead..!!!
Made a trip from Florida to Michigan, and decided to reserve a rental car for my travels once I reached southfield. Had breakfast at Kerby coney Island and reserved a car. Walked over to hertz and waited to pick it up. The gentleman at the desk said they had no vehicles. I was highly upset at this. He said the computer doesnt always know.What kind of establishment is this? He said he only works there. Someone has to take on accountability for this Madness. I was furious and then he suggested I wait for a car from the airport about an hour to arrive. I only wanted to rent the car for 4 hours.Never again.. hertz, never again!Date - July 6, 2021 at 1pm
They dont tell you you need a credit card when getting a reservation on line... it was a hassle.. I was late to a function. Will not go again
Hertz (especially) this location is ridiculous and the customer service is non existent. You make people come all the way to the office to tell them there are no vehicles available and dont provide any alternative solutions. Not sure how its rated a 3.2. I will definitely work on contacting corporate today.
Reserved a vehicle for a week, returned it early, and was told the price cant be adjusted PLUS a 3 day rental would cost MORE than the week rate I was being changed. Called corporate and was told my rate was based on the current rate and when I looked on the website, its a TOTALLY DIFFERENT RATE. Got robbed and they didnt even have to use a gun. SMH.

Worst place ever made a reservation on Friday morning to get a car Saturday morning got confirmed get there and they tell me they dont insurance claims on the weekend but no one called to tell me the insurance company have never heard of this. I spent money on lyft to get there and back and no car. Unprofessional then when he heard me call Corp he tells me if I can wait there for a hour or two if they have any thing they would give it to me. If that was the case they should have given me a car right then and there. Who is going to wait two hours just to see if they have something totally Unprofessional

I had a car reserved through my insurance company. They allowed the company to put the reservation in. They wouldn’t do direct billing nor talk to the insurance company to fix the issue. The two men literally just sat there and told me they would not talk to insurance. They wanted me to pay out of pocket. They’re probably scamming. Time wasted. Go to a different location. Terrible customer service.
Vehicle had very bad smoke smell even though on the keys it says no smoking and when we asked the guy to change it he said that was the only vehicle available! We didnt even want that make. Also, we were given only one key.

If I could do less than 1 star I would. Booked a reservation through Priceline and prepaid it. I couldn’t pick up the vehicle on the pickup date/time due to my flight into town being delayed. I called to adjust the reservation and I was rudely told that since I was past the pickup time the vehicle (which I booked for 8 days) wouldn’t be available. Seems to me that if I had a booked car for a week it should still be held the next day.... whatever. I call back to process a refund since I need to go to another car rental place. I was told to contact Priceline. However, I sit on the phone for an hour with Priceline just to be told that Hertz managed the refund. After several more unhelpful call to the location I finally called Hertz corporate for a refund. Now 3 days and 2 hours later it’s finally resolved with no help from anyone at this location. Do not recommend.
The line was very slow outside. Only 3 ppl but the wait was over 30 minutes with 2ppl working inside. Another man walking in and out chatting on the phone should have made himself useful and assisted. 3 ppl in line 2 turned away. One of th being me, after I added insurance on the Expedia site to be told my Bank debit card was not accepted. Well I called Enterprise, they had a vehicle I booked it, arrived at the location in less than 10 minutes, they greeted ppl outside and processed your order immediately, and I was in a vehicle and omw out of town as planned in less time than I stood outside Hertz to be denied. Choose Enterprise.
I pay an unreasonable price for a rental car
Never come to this location!!! Charge me and my wife $400.00 for a “Cleaning FEE” when I watched and helped my wife clean this car!!!!!! Quoted us 20.00 a day for the rental and then called us and told us it went from 20.00 to 38.00!!!! Wow I’ve never seen such a scam artist customer service in my life!!! And I work for customer service!!! 400.00 and an extra $200.00 charge!!!! So one of our accounts is negative $200.00 And the (MANGER ASIA) if that’s her name!!!! Talked to me and my wife very rudely!!! Using unprofessional words an all!!! Calling corporate as we speak!!! Never again will we do business here!!!!! I Warn everyone to stay AWAY!!! PLEASE!! I’d give zero stars if possible. Absolutely THE slowest service possible. Nothing but waiting. Hours sometimes. Unbelievable. Either get more staff or get a better system, it’s beyond unacceptable the amount of hours people myself included wait at this location
This agency gave me a car with bad brakes. I had to drive to another location approximately 20 miles away to get a safe car. I filed a complaint with corporate and never received any follow-up. I will never rent with this company again!
I had a scheduled drop-off and on that day, they were incredibly understaffed. The 2 ladies working that day, however, were wonderful! Clearly stressed tfo but they kept their composure. Kudos!
Terrible service, car was dented & scratched. I was surprised they had the car on the lot. Employees put on a front as if they are there to help, and make sure youre taken care of. Which the car they gave me showed who they really were. Had air pressure problems the entire time while having the Ford Fiesta. Then when I turn the car in was told it would cost $50+ dollars to fill up a half tank. With not having any option to prepay for gas. This is over rated at 3.2 take my word, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOME WHER EELSE!

They took the price of the rental off my debit card and they then tell me that I can’t use my payment method. So when I asked can I change it to my credit card they told me I can’t do that. Which means you are trying to keep my money and not give me a rental. BS
I Made a reservation for days prior to the pick up day and paid in full.. the day of the pick up I show up the car that I was supposed to be renting was being rented out as I was walking in .. then they tell me they have no other cars available.. I tell them I already paid in full I need a car the guy behind the counter tells me I dont have any cars leave now.. never again

Not the worst, but not great. Was asked to sign acknowledgement before being presented with contract, car had windshield covered with smashed bugs. When I asked if they had anything to get the bugs off, she said no, not really. After pushing the issues, she did take the car and clean the windshield, and brought back a dripping wet car, saying thats as good as its going to get. Youre all set to go.
Reserved a car on priceline.com through hertz, they had no problem taking out $50 out of my account for the insurance. When we went this morning to pick up the car, the lady there was super rude. She gave attitude from the start, and told us that they do not accept debit cards (which it said otherwise on the website) so now we are having to scramble to find another rental car on a friday, when nobody has any cars available! Wouldnt recommend hertz to nobody!!
Can you give negative stars? had a car reserved for the weekend was told online i could use cash or a debit.. got there the woman was rude af.. had basically a i dont care about you attitude.... i was sapose to leave by 9a on my trip.. well here it is 10 and I have to wait til 230 to get a vehicle thru a different company.. i will never suggest hertz to anyone.. the website lies and the employee that was working today was one of the rudest people i have ever met...

First of all, the front desk attendant was not attentive at all. Never asked if I had any questions or concerns.Now lets get to the real review. Hertz charged my credit card the amount of the rental plus $200 deposit...no big deal I knew that. So I returned the car on Sunday (the office is closed) 2 hours before i was supposed to. I returned it at 3:02pm to be exact. So Monday I woke up to an alert that hertz charged me $119.00. Then 2 hours later $170. So I called corporate and they said the $119.00 was an authorization charge because the Southfield location had not closed out the rental and it looks like I still had the car. Okay no problem but the $170 was the final charge of the rental. Now I did see they refunded me the initial authorization from Friday. But why is my final amount $170 and not $157 like my agreement said? Where is the extra fee coming from? Corporate told me they charged me a late return fee? What?!?! First of all, I returned it 2 hours early and how in heck would they know I returned it late if they were closed? And of course, the Southfield location not answering their phone. Needless to say, the $119 and the late fee will be refunded back to my account but why all these unnecessary charges and refunds have to be on my account. First and thee last time Ill be using hertz.
I was able to reserve a car with a debit card online and when i got to the location they told me i cant use it because it was under someone elses name. He was there and had id. Then they told me i could only reserve with a credit card. Wasted a lot of my time
Quick and convenient service.Car was good for its money.Process of picking up and dropping off the car was clear and quick.-1 * for some issue with their phone line. About 1 hour prior to close of business - no answer, busy or unreachable. Assistant was pretty surprised when I told him about the issue... So it could be some technical problem. Not sure about that.
Terrible. Never rent from Hertz. So many other rental companies that are 10x better and more ethical.They don’t prorate your bill if you return the vehicle early. Once I was told I couldn’t get reimbursed for turning it in early (which I was told I would when booking over the phone), they also did not allow me to use my car for the full duration of my rental agreement. They took the car and my money.
I live in Cleveland Ohio and was hit by a driver that ran, but my car was damaged to the point I could not drive home. The staff was very helpful to me and I had no problems at all. Great customer service.!

Save yourself the time and money and do not go here. I reserved a full size sedan on my corporate account and when I got there they told me all they have is the compact sedan.. it’s dirty, it STINKS, and they tried to charge me $60 more than my online order! I will be spending my 5 hour drive calling hertz corporate. This place should be shut down.

The worst rental car site ever. No option to choose 0 star. The agent gave me a pretty dirty car without clean and full of smoke smell. Then I have to use vacuum machine and wiper to clean myself And when returned they even charge me extra damage fee. GOOD job hertz
By far, the worst service ever.SETP 2019: We rented a car to go to Cincinnati, a total of 500 plus miles. We returned the car after hours. A month later when the charge card statement came, there was a $200 cleaning fee for smoking in the car, when no smokers ever entered the car, much less smoked in it. Plus, the mileage showed 110 miles! Went through two managers and one month of back and forth phone calls, and were told that the charge would not be reversed, and was valid! This company repeatedly said it puts customers first, but its clear that it does not. Dont rent from Hertz! UPDATE: DEC 2019 - AFTER REPLYING TO HERTZ CORPORATE VIA FACEBOOK, THE FULL AMOUNT WAS REFUNDED - SOMETHING THE LOCAL FRANCHISE SHOULD HAVE DONE. I WILL NOW RENT FROM HERTZ AGAIN, BUT NOT THIS LOCATION. KUDOS TO HERTZ CORPORATE FOR SIDING WITH THE CUSTOMER!
Even though Hertz has the highest rates of the major chains, theyre the only one who accepts debit cards at initial rental without airline travel (certain conditions standing) tickets. They also, at time of this review and for many years before, have the lowest price deposit required. My experience at this location is excellent.
The wait here can be very long. No fault of the employees usually, they are understaffed. Management needs to hire a porter. I shouldnt have to wait for the agent that just took care of me to clean my vehicle as well. Theres really no excuse Hertz, spend the $ for a porter and keep your customers happy.

Sad to say Ive always loved this location however Frank left and it hasnt been the same since.....Its a new Manager Mays for some reason she feels the need to make up her own policy on things here.... she told me that I wasnt allowed to exchange my vehicle unless I close my contract and do it all over again...... definitely not true at all Ive rented from them for 4 years and Ive never had this issue or problem well they definitely will be losing $3,600 per month thats for sure......FRANK if your reading this please let me know your new location I will be taking my money else where!!!!
HORRIBLE!! ZERO STARS! Go to this location at your own risk!!I dropped off my rental about 20 mins before the close of business due to leaving work downtown and heavy traffic on the commute there. After the cantankerous female employee (see photo) inspected the vehicle and reentered the building, I asked her with a sense of urgency, if I had the required amount of gas in the vehicle since I knew I didn’t have much time. She stated in an irritated manner, she didn’t know. Once she pulled up my info in the computer, which seemed to take an eternity -- she stated that I needed 7/8th of a tank. Huh? I asked exactly what that was. She repeated the same thing with an irritable attitude. I asked how much it would cost if they filled it. Of course, that wasn’t an option due to the surcharge. So, I asked for the keys back, stated that I would be right back, and I drove to the gas station next door. I was only gone for about 7 mins since $5 more in gas was needed. I arrived back about 7 mins before closing. The doors were locked, and the lights were off. Since the employee closed the business prematurely, I was forced to leave the keys in the drop box, in which I was charged an additional day. The next day, I called the Hertz location several times to speak to an employee to ensure I didn’t get charged and to explain what happened. The phone went in to voicemail each time. After days of the same thing happening, I called from my work phone, in which I was able to get through. Perhaps the disgruntled female employee blocked me from calling? HmmJustin who answered the phone and claimed he was the manager, heard my complaints, agreed that the female employee was wrong, apologized and said the actual manager would refund the money and call me back. I never got a call back until Evan, the real manager, ironically called weeks later, wanting me to sign a new contract to keep the car longer. Apparently, he thought I still had the car. But to my luck, I finally have the name and cell phone number to the manager to air my complaints. I called him back to tell him what happened. I stated that I have a photo with proof that I returned before the close of business, in which he asked me to send it to him, so his district manager could look in to it. (The photo admittedly showed 6 mins after the close of business, in which I told him. Due to the time that elapsed from disbelief, shock, looking for crabby female employee, knocking on the door, calling several times, walking around the back and the thought process of what to do next. In addition to the decision to take a photo for evidence).Manager Evan never followed up. I texted him asking if things were resolved – no response. It’s been several months, and I still have not heard from him. As a courtesy, the original employee should have waited until I returned since I did so within business hours. She had poor customer service skills, was rude, unprofessional and apparently came to work with an attitude. I understand wanting to leave work, but once I returned it wouldn’t have taken a long time to process my rental return. I took matters in to my own hands and filed a complaint with my credit card company, who in turn issued me a refund. It was only $21, but this review is based on principle and a warning to others who may try to rent from here. From management down, you will get screwed. Do yourself a favor and go to another location.
I dont know how this company stays in business! We prepaid for a rental. The charge was on our credit card. However, when we arrived on time to pick up the car they refused to rent us the car. They said our credit card was not recognized in their system (even though the charge was on our card!). They refused to use one of our other cards. We then had to call customer service from their location to see why this happened. I was only told that they would refund our card which will take up to 10 business days to be applied. And never did they say that they would take another card to rent the car. So now we will NEVER rent from this company again. Only one person at this location with no authority to do anything! So now we are renting the car from Enterprise. SO BEWARE! Do not rent from this company! I know this sounds crazy, and it is, but it is true! I had give them one star to be able to post this review. It should be a negative star!
After leaving car at dealership for repairs, waited over an hour for someone to pick me up from Hertz, to get my rental, dealership staff ended up driving me down to Hertz, so that I can get rental, but I do have to say that Hertz has Better Selection of rental cars, than Enterprise cars🤔😉
This was my second time using this Hertz when my car was at the Honda dealership up the street. This time I called them at 5:20PM (They close at 6PM) and asked for a car for 1-2 days. Michael was very helpful at getting me a van for my time. He gave me a great deal and was very helpful with the transaction. I would for sure recommend this Hertz to everyone of my friends who need to rent a car around the Metro Detroit Area.

This is the worst place ever how dare you allow someone to wait for service in the sun for a whole hour just to tell them all the cars are rented, expired license plate, and/or oil change is needed! This is very unprofessional and I will never attempt to rent from this place ever again. Customer service is very poor!

It breaks my heart to give a one star review but this location really needs to step up their game. I have been a Hertz Gold member for years now but this last time my experience was very disappointing. After picking up the car and starting to drive on the Highway I realized the gas tank is almost empty. The Hertz rep should have told me about the empty gas tank at pick up to avoid last minute surprises. Then same day the tire pressure light came on. I now had to stop at a gas station and pay to refill air in a few tires as 3 out of 4 were low. I returned the car with close to 1/2 a tank of gas and informed the attendant that please make sure I dont get charged for a full tank of gas later and sure enough when I got the final receipt via email $75 was charged extra for fuel service. I had to call Hertz 800 number and resolve the issue but all of this left a poor taste in my mouth not to mention a huge waste of my time. I left a message for the Southfield Manager to call me and no response yet from him or her either. Hertz has always been my #1 choice and will continue to be so but this location needs to improve their service and train their staff better.
Rented a vehicle from Hertz on Telegraph in Southfield. Personnel very friendly and knowledgeable. The vehicle was a 2015 Mazda and handled very well. Bianca Mays was very efficient in handling my transaction and very courteous and polite. I would give the office personnel all 5 stars but overall rating 4 stars. I will highly recommend to my family and friends. Office nicely kept but needs painting behind counter where office personnel sit as scuff marks on the lower wall which detracts in appearance.

Someone responded to the call at 9:55am today and disconnected my call as he didn’t want to answer second time. He’s also so rude. Hertz please take car of this as I trust your service.
I am VERY disappointed in my experience with Hertz from start to finish. From picking up my rental car to the last step confirming I got my deposit back, I was disappointed with their zero organization and unhelpful customer service. The whole process was stressful, disorganized, and caused me unnecessary anxiety#1. They gave me the WRONG car. I ordered a specific car when I spoke to the lady at the Hertz Worldwide number (DO NOT call this number. They do not get any of the details right, they basically just lure you in to become a customer and do not write down ANY of your preferences. I made my order very carefully because I couldnt drive a large car but I needed it to fit all my belongings because I was moving.)#2. They gave me a car with NON-WORKING WIPERS. I was driving in the middle of a snowstorm and this caused me to pull over MULTIPLE TIMES, adding about 1.5-2 hours of extra driving time to my ONE-DAY rental. I had to drive 30 minutes OUT OF MY WAY TO POSSIBLY EXCHANGE A NEW CAR because this one was so bad - I could NOT see out of the window and it was very dangerous. Finally after trying so many different things, the wipers magically ended up working so I didn’t have to exchange for a new car, but it cost me almost 2 hours of extra time and lots of stress having to pull over multiple times.#3. They didn’t give me ANY CORRECT information. I called roadside assistance AND customer service multiple times throughout the day to make SURE I wouldn’t be charged an extra day rental charge because of the time added when I had to pull over. Not one person told me I had a 24 hour period to return the car - they ALL except one woman, Martha, who was the most helpful person - told me I needed to return it by 10pm that night or do an after-hours drop off. A few hours before I had to return the car I called Hertz AGAIN and miraculously got Martha, who was the ONLY person who informed me that I could return the car by 8am the next morning, because I had a full 24 hours. Getting the car back by a certain time was the biggest stress because I’d already lost 2 hours due to the car wipers not working and I did not want to get another rental cost because Hertz screwed up and gave me the wrong car. Anyway, Martha was the only one who took any responsibility for both the situation and tried to ACTUALLY help me, not just state a bunch of Hertz corporate policies. She and one of the roadside assistance people, Latifah, were the only people who genuinely cared to help.I will NOT be using Hertz again for any future rentals. It was an incredibly poor experience and left a bad taste in my mouth. I am loyal to companies who ACTUALLY deliver on the promises they make to customers. Unfortunately, Hertz let me down in multiple ways.That’s my honest feedback. I’m someone who believes in giving both good and bad feedback, in fact I spoke to Hertz and Martha’s manager because I was so grateful for her help. I made sure to let them know she made my experience much better. But I will also be honest when things let me down, which this experience with Hertz definitely did.

They let me make a reservation for 1pm on a Saturday and didn’t happen to mention they close at 1. I arrived when they were locking the door and they turned me away. Very affordable price for my rental. Friendly service. I was a little disappointed because my vehicle was dirty and there were grass clippings and dirt in the trunk were I had to put pillow and clothes.

This rating is specific to the Southfield MI location on Telegraph. I made a reservation online with ease, I got there the next day to pick up my vehicle and they did not have it but was able to give me an upgrade so I thought things would be great. I returned the vehicle full of gas and cleaned out and on time, but they decided to charge me an additional day plus late fees because I returned it on a Sunday. NOWHERE is it clearly marked that you will be charged an additional day plus late fees for returning it on a day that they are closed. NO ONE acknowledged that I would be charged an additional day plus late fees while I was confirming my rental. I called for an explanation and was basically told that I was late because I returned it on the Sunday that I was scheduled to return it and there is nothing they can do about it. I called customer service and they fixed the billing issue without question, and seemed to wonder why this happened to me in the first place. I will never go here again nor will I ever use Hertz, and I suggest anyone reading this go somewhere else.

Customer service was absolutely amazing especially being that it was my birthday and the other rental companies jerked me around on prices and false advertising on what was available. But when I came to Hertz on Telegraph my disgruntled attitude was quickly fixed with their quick and friendly service.
My mom can’t even pick up the vehicle she order because nobody answers the phone this happen last time . That’s ridiculous.

Perhaps the worst car renting experience of my life. The manager charged me for a more expensive car b/c the mid size was not available. Generally, when this happens the rental car place charges you the lower amount. They refused to drive me to the garage where my car was being repaired.The car they gave me was smelly and dirty on the inside.I had to wait to pick up and drop off the car.If you have any other options at all in Metro Detroit I strongly recommend you take them.

Rented a car from Thursday at 6pm until Saturday at 6pm. Per agreement, I returned my car on Saturday at 6pm and they were closed.When I got my bill they charged me until Monday at 7am because that was when the branch reopened. This was never mentioned while making the reservation or picking up the vehicle. Records were also wildly inaccurate (car had 14,113 miles when I dropped it off and their record said 12,661).Hertz customer service straightened it out and got me a refund (after the branch didnt reply to my dispute) but Ill still avoid this branch from now on.Giving them 2 stars but those stars are reserved for the corporate customer service. The branch gets 0.
I have been renting vehicles from this Hertz location for the last 2 years but under this new management there seems to be a lack in training of the staff. I reserved a vehicle from Wed-Mon. However I returned the vehicle on Fri. The employee began to tell me that he had to charge me for the full 5 days and I would have to contact customer service after the contract was closed and after the payment posted to my card in order for my card to be reimbursed. He indicated that it would require a managers authorization to go into the system and charge me the daily rate for the 2 days that I actually had the vehicle. This is RIDICULOUS. I have brought rentals back early before and NEVER have I been charged for days that I had not had the vehicle!

Worst rental store found...kids crying in background. U stand at store waiting for someone to come....front staff does not care about your preferences. Basically, no customer understanding or willingness to help
Worst places worst management worst employees. Never going there again make sure they walk out with you and take pics of everything inside and out. Horrible experience never again

I was a bit disappointed when the Hertz employee told me that he could do nothing about refunding me for the gas overage I put into the vehicle. It was rented out on 3/4 of a tank of gas but returned on a full tank. Other than that, I had no other problems with my rental.
I hate to have rented the car from them. If it was possible I would give them zero star rating. They are scamming me for $725 LDW [Loss Damage Waiver] charges. I got rear ended last month and so rented the car from them under AAAs rental coverage after a car accident and accepted the LDW for 2 days only. Now when I went to return the car this week, they say LDW was extended bcz AAA extended the contract. The branch manager is saying that he explained it to me that it will get extended once AAA extends the contract and if I dont want it then I have to go there personally and cancel it but he did not give me all this information. According to me the LDW was only for 2 days for which I also have a receipt. The sad part is that me and my boyfriend discussed this with them when renting the car from them and still they did not have the courtesy to let us know this important piece of information. Now they are saying that its in the contract and I signed it. They are just looting people here by giving incomplete information and making us sign and then putting the blame on us. Moreover, when I called the branch manager to sort this issue out, he hanged up on me in the middle of the talk. This is how they do business there. So, if you dont want to suffer like me then save yourself and do not rent from this location. And may be record everything or write whatever these Hertz car rentals explain while renting and get their sign so that you can prove it later if they try to scam you.
Just have a credit card and call cause the website lies to u thats how they get u and waste ur time
Great rental location on Telegraph in Southfield. Friendly and Professional people. Can be busy at peak times but they work hard to get you thru the process
Very bad experience today with Hertz. Called and told to leave a call back number. Called back an hour later and told I had 15 numbers ahead of me. I was advised to call other locations. Called another location and no car was available. Booked on line instead, then called to pick up and told no car was available. At this time, my frustration was met with a reminder that I had been asked to try other locations. I finally called my insurance and obtained approval to use another rental company.

They DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE !!!!! I have an emergency reservation through AAA for them, and was told to call them in the morning as I have scheduled pick up service. I have the address but they do not answer their phone #. I called Hertz National Center and they were unable to get through to them as well. VERY VERY BAD SERVICE. I DESPERATELY NEED THEM AND THEY ARE NOT COMING THROUGH...

You should change your hours of operation. Looked up online. Web site said open till 11:59 pm. Drove there only to find them closed. Id give minus stars of possible.
