This was for my son. He liked it a lot. His hair was very long and since its curly hard to cut. They cut it awesome. He will definitely come back for trims....it was a walk in...he suggested appointments via oline.

Just started going to Swarthys about two months ago, because I finally decided to grow the pandemic beard. It was really shaggy and all over the place, but Carlos took over and shaped and cut it. I cant imagine NOT having a beard now. World class service, and the hot towel shave takes you to your happy place. My advice to anyone with a beard: book an appointment right now! Best move youll ever make.

Great place. Carlos (owner) is a master barber. Shocking that more folks don’t know about his services. 40+ years of getting haircuts across the world and no one comes close to Swarthys. I’ve been coming here for 4 years now. I highly recommend and believe you’ll become a lifelong customer.

Hey fellas, I cant speak highly enough for this place. If youre used to a jacked up $7 jiffycut take my word and spend the extra cheddar - treat yo self. Carlos has a pretty tasty haberdashery developing in that old building. The place is looking really slick and the hair cuts are top notch. The patience and attention to detail really make a difference. The staff have got really great suggestions on developing a look thatll showcase you at your best, even beyond the hair and beard. Next time you go take the time to get measured and let them put a suit together for you. Youll look fly as hell and you get a little mini escape from your day to day. Love this place.

Swarthys is an amazing place with excellent service. I found it in south pasadena just as I was moving out of the area (so disappointing) but I still come back to it when I can for a beard trim and haircut. The place is decked out like a bachelors heaven from the 40s. Its even got a pool table and foosball table to entertain you while you wait.The owner, Carlos, is a great guy with a lot of skill. Hes super friendly and I even held my pre-wedding getting ready the morning of my wedding. Me and my guys got straight razor shaves, shot some pool and had a few beers before I headed off to the church looking sharp and feeling relaxed.I believe his cuts are pretty much by appointment now (which can easily be booked through his website) but do yourself a favor and set one up.
