Best barber shop in Somerville hands down

Been coming here for the past 15 years or so. They always do a great job. I moved to the north shore and still take the commute to wallys. Thanks for everything

Avoid this place if you can. No one greets you when you walk in. Barbers distracted by the tv. After 40min of waiting, one of their friends walks in, cuts the line of people already waiting for a haircut, and no one seems to mind. Very poor customer service

This place does not use scissors just electric shavers. After calling them to see if needed an appointment talked to the only person with minimal understanding of English language, Miguel. After speaking to him for a few seconds to try and express my wish to have a trim with hair level half way down ears, he proceeded to chat on his phone loudly the whole time while shaving off almost all of my hair down to the skin.Small shop and two women hung out there, friends of workers at one point sitting close to me on couch in corner.There is a poster showing typical haircuts they do which included most hair removed leaving only the top which I guess is popular with some ethnic groups which I did look at until stuck in the chair with the horrible realization that I would soon look like one of the pictures as Miguel kept shaving and shaving all my hair off not once asking If I liked what he had had done or wanted more done.

This is the best barber shop for miles. If you want a classic fade, double line up, progressive cuts or custom styles, go to Wallys. I dont go anywhere else anymore.

A great place for haircuts/beard trim. Prices are reasonable. Environment is clean and relaxing. I will come back!

Edit: I realized some of the issues are from a Spanish/English language barrier.Got 3 haircuts from 3 guys here: good, bearable, and awful. They are always too distracted by the tv. The last haircut: my sideburns were uneven, I asked for a fade and HE SAID NO, and then he scissored the top of my head down to a buzz. One of those haircuts where you know its horrible while theyre doing it. Never going back.

As a barber visiting from out of town, I did a lot of research on the barbershops here to make sure I got a great cut. I made the right choice.

Cool people, great fade. Theres usually a line but it moves quick as there are 4-5 barbers working at the same time
