These guys do a great cut for all hair types. Changed my style a few times and they got me exactly what I wanted. Will does a great shirt in sides flow on top look.

The Shop is clean & professional, easy to book an appointment online. Will did a tremendous job, fair price for top quality. Couldnt recommend it enough.

I dont write many reviews but after my cut by Tyler today, I had to immediately jump in and say he is NO amateur at cutting hair. Tyler produced a quality end result that is rare to find in other barbers. I could tell as he was cutting my hair that he really cared about his work and the results of my finished haircut were definitely reflected by that. Will only be using Tyler from now on.

They are good people. Had 3 cuts there from different barbers and they were all quality.They seem to be in favor of basic human rights and also try to find ways to enjoy their jobs while working hard. I like that.

I would not go here if you care about COVID safety. One of the barbers was very vocal about his anti-mask beliefs to everyone in the shop, even after I heard another barber talk about getting COVID.. I get that some people like the casual barbershop experience but I felt it was very unprofessional and unsafe. They have a dog that wanders the store, which is fine, I love dogs, but it crawled onto my lap and no one thought to say anything, if I was allergic or didnt like dogs I wouldve been extremely uncomfortable with that.

Barbers here are skilled and very friendly. They squeezed me in on a busy Friday before Memorial Day weekend and Will cleaned up my hair great. Will definitely go back

Ive been going to this barber shop for over a year now. During the pandemic, they renovated the shop, took extra precautions, and remained open. The staff are super chill and friendly. If youre looking for the classic barber shop atmosphere with banter and good conversation while getting really fresh haircuts, this is the place to be. Locally owned and operated. I personally only get haircuts with Larry Jr. But all the staff seem very experienced and well trained. Staying with this barber for years to come. 5 stars.

What can I say? They give great haircuts. Theres a lot of barbers near Davis, but this is the one I go to.

The Barber I had did do a good hair cut, however not even close to what I asked. I was specific and I said trim/clean up as in “don’t take anything off”. They completely changed my hair style and shaved my side burns. The hair cut was good but could not understand what I wanted or see based on my current style what I was working with.

I get a haircut at 968 The Shop monthly with Will. He does excellent work every time, and I am always pleased with the results. The prices are reasonable, and the barbers are all professional and courteous.

I would love to give this place 4 stars because I did get a good haircut and the vibe inside is pretty cool but the covid precautions made me very nervous. Not enforcing mask wearing unless a barber is with a client, even if hes sweeping less than a foot away from other people, not enforcing customers wearing masks or social distancing (which I get is hard because its a smaller shop), I probably wont be back until after covid is over.

Possibly one of the best haircuts I’ve gotten. They are talented, respectful, and as professional as it gets. The place is a vibe and clean. If you want to look good, this is the place to go.

Went to this shop for the first time about a month ago after years with my old barber. I was able to schedule an appointment right through the web site which I really liked. Parking (on street) was much easier than I had imagined. The shop itself was clean, welcoming, and had a really cool vibe. All of the barbers were very professional.Tyler was able to cut my hair few minutes before my scheduled appointment time with him which was great. The hair cut was superb! He took his time and matched my request with a nice even cut, beard trim and line up. I was extremely happy with the way my haircut looked and also the way it grew out over the month. Definitely returning - I just scheduled my 2nd appointment and highly recommend this shop.

I went to this place for a Haircut 1st and last time. Not shaving on the neck or sides after cutting with the machine. They dont blow the hair from your clothes, The lady make a skin showing big on the back of my ears. I am totally disappointed. I can call that a Hair killer place. Be Aware.

Ive had better haircuts and Ive had worse haircuts, however, one of the barbers was not wearing a mask at all and another had one pulled down below his nose. I consider this behavior irresponsible and wont be back.

Honestly the best haircut you can get in Cambridge/Somerville area. Tim is incredible, great attention to detail and solid work. Never leave disappointed. Always get compliments on my cut for weeks.

Their professionalism and skill speaks for itself.When I moved further out of the city to Revere, I would make time to go out of my way to continue getting my haircut here. Ive always been particular about who cuts my hair and when attending other shops I would have that one go-to guy, even if that meant holding off an hour to be seen. Funny guys, I really wanted to give em 5 stars. But dude literally stopped cutting my hair to talk like half of every minute. took twice as long as it shouldve, and he COMPLETELY screwed up the back up my head. it was uneven by like an inch left to right. The guy was funny to talk to and its a cool atmosphere but come on... If you want 20 bucks to do something as simple as cutting hair, do it right. I had to have my roommate fix it for me.... Honestly if I was only rating on quality of service, it would be 0 stars.... cuz ya had one relatively simple job to do and u screwed it up pretty badly... (I dont get fades or anything fancy, just a simple buzz cut) .PS - to be fair, I saw 3 guys walk out with very good lucking hair cuts. They couldve just screwed up mine as a rare mistake, but whatever, it happened. So it was my first and last time there because of it.

Will is hands down best barber I’ve ever had. Been going to him for almost 3 years now and I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. He’s extreamly talented with a fade and is always offering suggestions or letting me know when it’s time to change things up a bit. Hard to find a barber you can rely on like that. This is what I look for when I go to a barber shop. People are talking, having fun, and giving great cuts. Paul did a great job. I have been going to him for several months now and he never disappoints. He is meticulous and gets it right every time. I show up with some ideas and a picture on my phone and he gets to work and I always leave feeling great. Awesome neighborhood spot. True barber shop with out pretentious feel like some places cropping up.

Just moved to Massachusetts and wanted to find a good barber. Thought 968 would be a good but nope.First of all, Tim, mostly kept talking with other guys.Second, the hair cut was a disaster. My hair kept getting longer from right to left side of the head. There were long from my left side and short from my right side.Third, before coming I checked the prices. $25for Haircut & Beard Trim. He charged me $30. I didnt say anything cause it was this thing that definitely made not to come here anymore.I dont usually leave bad reviews, but my experience was extremely bad.

Will took maybe 15 mins to cut my hair and did not edge up the sides of my head. I asked for a fade with a bit off the top. It felt like very minimal effort went into the cut as he wanted to finish up the day. Def not the best cut Ive received and for 25$ you can go elsewhere. Giving it two stars because of how easy it was to book an appin

Guys are nice enough, but other reviews have already said it: unprofessional shop. Uncleaned chairs, lack of focus on the cut, and my haircut was very sloppy. My mistake was to let him put product in before I left. Once I showered, I saw how choppy and uneven the cut was. I was really hoping this could be my new spot. Nah.

I dont think Ive ever written a bad review on Google but I feel the need to say something. I made an appointment with 968 The Shop hoping to find a good barber near my house (I had just moved). I went in, had to sit in someone elses hair that had not been cleaned up (all over the chair), and out of the 30 minutes I was there, the barber, Will, had only spent literally 5 minutes cutting my hair. He would wet my hair, comb it and walk away repeatedly and just talk with his fellow barbers and ignoring me completely. This happened about 6 times. Additionally, he totally messed up when trying to square me up, super uneven. When I came in there were two barbers working on other haircuts and mine was done before both of the others were done...if that gives you any insight. Im not very picky with my hair typically but when you walk out of a place knowing you got screwed, thats saying something. The other barbers may have been better but because of this experience with Will Im never going to go back.

Looking for a new place to get my haircut so thought Id give it a go. They advertised $35 for a haircut and straight edge razor shave, never had one before so why not. The final price for both was $45, I made a comment but he said nothing.The haircut wad ok, not the best Ive had, sides are uneven.The shave was dissappointing, he only did the sides of my face and it wasnt any closer than my electric razor.He was pleasant when he spoke to me but spent most of the time joking with his colleagues. A bit concerning when hes laughing with a razor that close to your skin.All in all I felt $45 for a haircut and part shave was a poor investment. Needless to say, Ill be continuing my search and not returning.
