Post-Covid reopening review. The stylists are great and even though it took two cuts four weeks apart to fix my self-cut lockdown hair, my style looks great. The shop is bright and spotless. I am a little concerned about the relaxed Covid precautions. There are now four customers allowed in at a time instead of two and my stylist was wearing a face mask that vented out. On the upside, while walk-ins are welcome, they can only come in to make an appointment and have to leave and return at that time. My regular shop went belly up and this Supercuts is a worthy replacement. Recommend.

Friendly ladies working here. Just keep in mind that the younger girls here are not too expierienced. Stick with the other older ladies whom definitely know what they are doing👍Now I know whom Illl let cut my hair. Not putting them down because they try and its all a learning process . Within time and more experience they will continue to grow. Goodluck too them as they continue tjis growth. This is why I put a 3 for now

This place meets my modest needs (vanilla haircut and beard trim) and is super reliable. Friendly staff.Call ahead or schedule an appointment online so you want have to wait for too long.

Experienced my first haircut at this supercuts location in Somerville on 10/19. The hairdresser, I believe named Othilia (spelling?) was fantastic. Extremely friendly making conversation through out, really listened to how I wanted my hair done and even asked how my hair length looked while cutting my hair, you can tell she really cares and takes a lot of pride in her work. Since this was my first time at this location, I am unsure of the other hairdressers but I know this one is a star at this location and will be back!

Shereen is my stylist at Supercuts and I couldnt rave more about her. She is gifted in an artistic way and does wonders with hair.

I called the Supercuts in Twin City, Somerville, Ma. today at exactly 5:20pm. I asked if I could get an appointment... mentioning that I was 5 minutes away. I was told to come right over. My haircut was done by a friendly young lady named Erin. Not only did she give me the exact cut that I was hoping for but engaged in great conversation while doing so.Best hair stylist and best haircut Ive ever had!!

Called n made appointment got there early nwas in n out within 20 mins or so, got my long hair chopped off. Melissa was polite n friendly cut my hair the way I wanted without questioning me deff recommended it.

Super unprofessional people. I called in earlier this morning to make a reservation for wash and blowout, but someone said there is “NO RESERVATION ONLY WALK INS”. So i walked in an hour later and the lady upfront told me “WE ARE FULLY BOOKED FOR THE DAY”. They could have told me when I called rather than making me come all the way there. Pathetic...

Super unprofessional. I showed up at 5pm for a 5oclock appointment to find another customer just sitting down in the chair. I leave for 15 minutes to shop around the area and the manager tells me (at 515) that its 530 and there is another person with an appointment so I will have to reschedule. Dont hold your customers to standards you cant hold yourself to.

Worst haircut experience Ive had in a long time: my hair dresser took only four minutes and thirty seconds to cut my hair, and then proceeded to charge me $20. It was the same for the guy ahead of me. I came home to find many stray long hairs. Highway robbery! My hair dresser didnt even fake interest in giving me a good cut.

Excellent experience at Supercuts. Being that I just moved to Boston for the summer, I did not know any quality salons in the area. I was looking online for salons and saw most haircuts starting at $35. Once I found that Super cuts was $18 and some change I was hesitant because of the lower price. However, Im so glad I went because I could not have asked for a better experience. Before I went in, my hair was a sh*t show, split ends, uneven cuts. After the haircut, funny and bright hair stylist conversations, and amazing shampoo they used, I am ready to go to a formal. Much love to Supercuts on McGrath Hwy.

I have updated my rating and review after terrible experience twice with a new hair stylist. It is a male worker who is very sweet and friendly with certain group.of people but seems to be rude with me. I dont know what trigger this behavior of his but it has happened twice. I am convinced he is carrying an internal issue with people like me because I am personally very kind with service staff at any location. He is larger of the two guys that often work. In my first time with him, he was rough with his hands. Put too much water and did not dry properly. In my second experience, even though I said to just clean up, he used a machine and made it too short. Then he literally showered me and did not drying up at end. His hands were rough and lastly, he cut my side burns too short and did not even make them even length. If he has internal issues with me or similar people, he should know that he is in customer service and this type of rough behavior is instantly recognizable. When I visit again, I promise that I will request to be done by anyone except him. For right now, I am taking my uneven side burns to a party!Lastly I expect a place in Cambridge or Somerville to be more diversity friendly as these neighborhoods host a diverse culture. Please teach this hair styling to treat everyone equally. If you are nice to others, then be nice to everyone.

Nelly is the most patient stylist I’ve ever dealt with. I cut my own hair off out of anger and she was so nice to me even after I asked to change the style three different times. She made me feel beautiful and even gave me great hair care tips. Thank you a million times!

Easy and fast place to cut your hair and a little more without paying a lot of money like a salon. Staff wonderful to helped with any cut you desire. Quit cut with and without appointment.

Warning!! DO NOT GO THERE!!I am a simple 65 year old man who gets trim every 5 to 6 weeks and i have got many cuts in many salons in my life but this has to be the Worst one ive ever been in ..my haircut was uneven and the floor was dirty with previous clients hair and the stylist was very rude n unprofessional.Never going back there.

Absolutely garbage. Bad customer service, dont take the time to understand what you want. Choppy and uneven. Dont understand how these people are even allowed to cut hair its bad. I got bangs when I didnt ask for them. I cant even wear my hair down have to wait for all of my hair to grow back before I can do anything with it.

ZERO STAR! I needed a quick haircut before a big trip tomorrow morning. I needed a simple haircut with a spike on the top and showed the exact picture I needed. This stupid 50 something year old woman did the exact opposite. She was so unpleasant, unfriendly and dumb. She knew she was ruining it and never asked for help. When I told her its not right she gave excuses and I had to control myself not to slap her. She ruined my hair and my beard. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE as long as this woman works here. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If they dont fire this stupid woman they will loose business very soon. The cut I got was not even worth a penny but I paid $28 total. So disappointed and angry.

Well...its a hair cut. Depending on the hairstylist you may or may not get what you ask for..its a total crapshoot. Good luck and I wish u the best if u walk in this place.Hair cut is ruined 50% of the visits but I go because its convenient.

The first person had no idea what they were doing and seemed like she wouldve kept cutting hair until it was not fixable had her manager not stepped in. Manager knew what she was doing, but was in a rush as she was with another customer. Haircut is passable for an interview tomorrow.Would give 0 stars for the original stylist, but 4 to the manager. So theres your average.I will not be returning to this location.

Went in today for a cut and couldnt be happier. I forgot to get the womans name who did it but I was very happy with the service I received and will definitely be back.

Checked in online several hours before closing. Ubered all the way there. Got to the store and waited 20 minutes. Got into the chair and requested a blowdry and style. I was turned down because it would take too long (this was hours before closing) and they were too busy (the store only had 2 patrons).

Went in for a quick cut while on vacation last week. I knew how I wanted it, gave my details, and they did a terrific job. Couldnt be happier. Thanks!

I NEVER in a million years thought I would come into a chain hair salon. Like never. Im a barbershop kinda girl for my cuts, but had no good ones since Ive moved to this area. I was soooo pressed for time while out running errands in the area, I thought just to go in and at least ask.Trey immediately greeted me asked me what I wanted, and we kinda were just gonna figure it out once I get in the chair. I waited 10 mins tops. My hair is partially shaved, which she did a good job with, and FAST. And she talked me into correcting my color job. She did a GREAT job, the color was pretty bright, but I was very pleased with her skill and efficiency. I had a bleach job go wrong and she neutralized the color, did a full hair trim, and clipper cut for $52. I was shocked. If ever in a pinch and cant get to my barbers, Im definitely going back to see Trey.

Had a really good experience at this Supercuts. Needed a haircut badly. Friendly, non judgemental staff. Got a relaxing wash and beautiful cut from Roop. The store itself is conviniently located, neat, clean, friendly vibe.

Called ahead to put my name in. Brought my 10 month old son with me and got a great haircut quickly with no problem. My son enjoyed watching me get the haicut in the baby car seat next to me.

A very simple hair cut that the moron could not figure out. I spike my hair up in the front and somehow even though I didnt tell her to and I came in with my hair that way the moron cut off all of my hair in front. Her response: It will grow back and they took $2 off the bill. Are you kidding me? I will never go back there and you shouldnt go either.

Stylists looked at me when I came in and completely ignored me. I understand they were in the middle of a cut, but not even a hello, Ill be right with you. Stood there 10 minutes as stylist stared at me while she blew dried someone until I finally left. Didnt even check me in. Beyond unprofessional

These people are EXTREMELY unprofessional! First two times I saw the supervisor and she did a great job. The third time I called and made an appointment with her, when I got there (10 minutes early) they said she was about to leave. I asked them why didnt they call me instead of making drive 20 minutes knowing she wasnt available, they said they dont call people and I asked me if I wanted to see someone else (zero apologies) I said ok because I was desperate. The fourth time I called to make an appointment with either the supervisor or the woman I saw last for a flat iron (hair was already washed and blow dried) they said they werent in yet and asked me to come and someone else would do it. I drove 20 minutes to the place, got there 5 minutes early and there were two ladies both cutting an old man hair at the same time as if they were worshipping him. I told them that I had just called for a flat iron, they looked at me and said we dont do flat iron before 12pm. Whaaaaat? I thought it was a joke. I checked my phone to make sure I had called the right number. I asked them why did they ask me to come, they didnt apologize, nothing, zero, nada! I told them whatever freaky thing they had going on with that old man needed to be done in their free time.

Absolutely horrible haircut, she was supposed to give me layers but now I have two drastically different hair lengths on one side and the back of my head. About 4 inches off. Can’t even wear my hair down it’s so bad. I don’t even understand how you can mess up that badly.

I wish there was an option to give this location zero stars, but there isnt so.....1 it is. I went to super cuts as a last resort since my sons Barber had an emergency and couldnt cut his hair. I should have listen to my gut and literally EVERYONE else who told me not to go but alas I went and it was a disaster. The shop does not seem to be run very well and at one point a patron walked in, waited at the desk for 5 mins for someone to say hello and then walked out since not one person there even looked up.There were 5 stylist all together and one stylist who was doing her own hair standing right in plain view. The desk was right next to the station where my son was getting his hair cut and the area is very open so there was no reason no one addressed the customer. I showed the stylist EXACTLY what cut I wanted for my 2 year old son, and she managed to do the complete opposite of that picture. Not to mention at some point of her attempting to blend the back of his head she cut a deep line in the middle of the nape of his head. The line was so deep that for it to look normal they would have to basically shave his head which I would not allow. The hairdresser called over the woman who was blow drying her own hair (perhaps the manager) to help her fix the problem which she could not. The overall haircut is a mess, its was VERY uneven and I was embarrassed to even leave the shop with my sons hair cut looking the way it did. I will have to wait and go back to my sons barber with my tail between my legs since he is going to say I told you so I could not be in that establishment for one more minute and when the girl couldnt even manage to line him up I told her we are done. I understand that perhaps the girl was an amateur or just starting out as a new hairdresser but 1. You should consult with the customer to make sure they are ok with the fact that you are new at cutting hair so they can decide if they still want to go to you and 2. She seemed unsure of herself from the very beginning and she should have asked for help from the start. Super cuts doesnt have a good reputation but I always give places the benefit of the doubt and this experience has confirmed the rumors. Anyone going, just know its a 50/50 chance you might leave with a more messed up do than when you went in.

Please go get a hair cut somewhere else. They have rusty scissors.

Update: came back today since this was on my way to somewhere. Two guys who walked in right ahead of me but had never checked in got called ahead of me. They don’t have the common sense to tell the customers walking in without Checkin that they could get bumped down when the customers who bothered to do so come for their respective appointments. This will be my last visit.————Hair cuts are generally ok. I have been going there for a while now. They have no respect for the check in process. I checked in for 5 pm, left work early to make it to the appointment on time. Some of the staff constantly pull out the wrong slip from the system, leave the old slip lying outside and your name gets checked out. Then they constantly end up taking other customers who come in after you. For example, today Ive waited here and seen two customers being called ahead of me even though they never checked in. So, whats the point of the app and the whole check in process if youre not going to follow it.

Was a little Nervous get a hair cut here but was surprised I always ask for A lady named Dalffie for almost 2 years A couple of times she was not working and went with who ever was available and was not disappointed

When i first went the employee said he knew what a fade was but after the cut it was clear he did not. There is now a ledge on the back of my head and my side burns are now a straight line and does not go next to my ear. He blamed it on my hair being wet but if that was true it would be the opposite affect. I’m am in high school so you could imagine when break is over I will be insulted all over school.

My last several trips have seen the place get more crowded. Also, the system they use for keeping track of whose turn it is doesnt work. The last few times Ive seen several people go out of turn (including ahead of me), which is very annoying
