Had a transmission swap done a couple of weeks ago as far as the service go pretty good price was competitive however I gave three stars because when my vehicle was returned it was full of rat droppings Throughout the whole vehicle. Call to inform management about the issue and they response was well did your car have rats in it. Very disappointing. I understand that you’re working on multiple cars but when a vehicle is in your possession it should be clear and safe I was very disappointed and grossed out to say the least

Joe was very considerate, helpful and attentive to my needs. He was professional and kind with communication about my car. His staff was professional and helpful as well. They did extra work to my vehicle while fixing it. Everything was done in a timely manner and they took time to review my concerns after leaving. Overall an excellent experience. I called Travis he said to be there at 8:00a.m. so he could go ahead and put my car on the left and check my transmission fluid. I was there waiting on him to show up for 30 minutes theyd already put another vehicle on the left while I was sitting there and he decides to come over after waiting there for 40 minutes to tell me oh that theres already a car on the left that I would have to come back and drop my car off so that he wouldnt have to wait on me if I didnt show up. Very rude will never go back over there

Theses guys are awesome.... took my van to the dealership first, it sat there for 10 days before they call and told me I needed to authorize a $500 charge to diagnose it, but they thought it needed a new transmission, and would not know till they tore it down. They said I would probably be looking at a $4,000 repair. The guys at St Tammany Transmission got it in and diagnosed it the same day for FREE and then did the repair the next day, saved me $2,800... love theses guys, best shop on the northshore, I highly recommend them.

After making a phone call, drove by and 10 minutes after I arrived, they had a diagnosis and a quote. Brought my truck in later that day. A couple of days later, my rebuilt transmission was ready to go and I am one satisfied customer. Thank you!!

Really honest and helpful guys. I had issue with transmission shortly after I bought my truck. When i called first transmission shop they i’ve been told without even one question what is wrong that i need new transmission cause it is fried and “thankfully” they had one right over there(scammers). Of course used and overpriced. Obviously they tried to take advantage of me since i’m foreign. So after my friends recommendation i went to ask these guys. They fix my transmission for almost no cost since they told me it is just small leak. No need for new transmission. So they saved me few thousands dollars. I’m thankful for their honesty. Highly recommending these guys!

St. Tammany transmission on front street is in my opinion the only place to go if you want the job done right the first time and not have to take a loan out on your house. 6 months ago the transmission casing shattered on my f150 for a extra heavy duty transmission from Tammany transmissions was over $3,000 cheaper than anywhere else since what I had would be considered a non returnable core. well now here I am again with a shattered case on the transmission not due to anything ST. Tammany transmission did, but after one phone call I was told to get the truck towed to the shop and that they would take out the transmission give me a new case and make sure everything else was in perfect order and reinstall it and the drive shaft and I would have my truck back up and running for $800.00. WOW . Try that with any other shop. Monster, or any of the other shops would just laugh at you and break it off in you. I wish there was a way to give them more than a 5 star. I am 42 years old and now I understand why my family has been doing business with them since I was a small child. They have stayed the same throughout the years with their commitment to great Customer Satisfaction, Quality work, and Great prices. Take it from me dont take the chance with another company

Great work. Ive had 2 transmission rebuilt here and lasted for years till I sold the vehicles. I was out of town on last one and was built wrong. They have done the warranty work per other shops specs and found issues 3 times. This last time they took over the warranty and truck is hauling better then ever and getting 2MPG better fuel. If I have to add a negative, dont judge a book by the cover. A dirty shop and will leave a fingerprint or 2 but its only oil and can be cleaned for a great job done. Thanks Joe and crew hope we see each other at the store, lol.

I cant speak highly enough of these guys. My transmission would not shift out of first gear after dropping my son off at daycare. I eased my car into a well known, national chain that specializes in transmission repair (rhymes with spamflow) by 10am. It took them all day, 2 phone calls and finally a return to their shop right at closing time before they would give me a price for repairs. They wanted $995 to remove and assess the transmission and then additional repair costs starting at $1300 (and possibly going up) after that. I decided to take my car to St. Tammany for a second opinion. I arrived shortly before 8am and by 8:30 the tech had taken it for a drive, assessed the problem and quoted me a repair price of only $550, saving me literally $1500 or more. These guys are honest, fast, courteous and will be the only transmission shop I use in Slidell from now on.
