Staying with Vonnies charters is like being part of one big happy family. The food is fabulous. The boat captain and deckhand was top rate. Cant say enough good things about our experience here

OMG!! We just finished our Vonnie’s Charter boat trip in Sitka. All I Can Say is WOW! WOW WOW WOW! Three days of salmon fishing with our captain Alex and his wingman Josh! These 2 guys reel ly (get it) knew their stuff! I’m not the greatest fisherwoman but Josh kept helping me....even tho I forgot to reel sometimes...he always kept the bait on the hook! Our family left with 350 lbs of beautiful king salmon, halibut and lincolncod! I wish they would have let me keep my RATFISH! UGLIEST FISH EVER! I give Josh a 13 star rating and Alex the same!

We have fished with Vonnie since 2009 and always have a wonderful experience. She serves 5 star meals, wonderful lodge and comfortable boats. Her crew is outstanding; always there to please you. The captains and deck hands are knowledgeable and very patient (😀) AND accomodating. We have given 3 of our granddaughters a senior trip to Alaska and all three have many wonderful memories and want to return. Thank you, Vonnie and Dave.

My dads top trip on his bucket list was a fishing trip to Alaska which we just finished on sept 7th. I can tell you that our experience together at Vonnies was much more than I had expected on every level. When we were picked up at the airport, we realized right away that this experience was going to be great as we were welcomed as new friends, not clients. Arriving at the lodge you will be greeted by others that make you feel you have been friends for years, not minutes. The Friends and Family atmosphere of this place is real not rehearsed and you truly feel welcome. The lodge and accommodations are top notch and you will want for nothing during your stay. Right from the first minute there we were told that this house is now your house, and they mean it. The food was incredible(thanks Dave and Vonnie) and you will not walk away from the family style dinner table hungry. Our Captain Kyle and Deckhand Jarred were fantastic and kept us on the fish, and were right there if you needed anything at all. I am already planning a return trip for next year with bringing more family and friends. Vonnie, Dave, Kyle and Jarred, from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you enough for making my dad smile more than I have seen him smile in years. You all are truly incredible people, even though you may think it is just your job, I could see that it is much, much more than that and you all should be proud of what you do and how you do it. We will be back!!

If youre looking for an all inclusive first-class fishing trip Vonnies is the best location in all southeast Alaska. Everyone that walks into her home is treated like her best friend. Whether you want a special once in a lifetime trip for your entire family or a fishing trip with the guys this is the place.

A+ for fishing. My second trip to Alaska to fish, and this was by far the better of the two trips. Their captains knew exactly where to take us (we maxed out our first two days and inclimet weather kept us from doing that the third). The food was delicious and they were very helpful. They have moved to a newer bigger location, so this address is not correct, unfortunately.

Best lodge in Alaska. This is family.
