Jackson was just the nicest guy! What a great guide & just a great person to spend the day with in general. He is so patient & friendly & made sure we had everything we needed. The checklist we were provided was very thorough. His wife called us back in a timely manner & booking was very easy. We caught a great deal of fish & he handled getting them to the processing place to be fileted, packaged, labeled, & flash frozen for shipping home to Texas. His boat was so nice & clean & comfortable as well! We will absolutely be booking Jackson again if we ever get back to Sitka & very highly recommend him to others.

Had a fantastic time fishing for 2 days with Jackson in mid-July! My dad and I really wanted to focus on the bottom fishing, and he was happy to do that for us. We easily limited out on all the bottom species (and returned MANY back to the water), and still had enough time to go after some salmon. I even caught a monster 47.5 lingcod! He was happy to teach us the techniques and let us do as much as we wanted ourselves, which I appreciated! We even got to switch to some different techniques to keep things interesting. The boat was super nice and very well equipped, and Jackson was great to spend time with. Great trip overall, and I cant wait to bring my boys on a trip with Sitka Fishing Excuraions once theyre old enough!

Just got back from our trip with Jackson and couldn’t be happier. I’m so glad we booked with you folks. Jackson took us to some amazing fishing spots then showed us the sights. He even cut us a few filets we could take with us while he gave the rest to his processing man. Nikki couldn’t have been nicer on the phone helping me set everything up. Captain Jackson and Nicki of Sitka Fishing Excursions run a first class operation. I was able to flyout to Sitka with my 22 year old son (who didnt care much for fishing at the time) during his fall break from college and spend the day fishing with Captain Jackson. I have personally fished in Alaska and Canada for 25+ years, mostly fly fishing in rivers, but sometimes deep sea fishing and have hired dozens of guides, Captain Jackson has to be one of the best.My sons first fish he ever caught in Alaska was a 60lbs Halibut right at the 50 slot limit (we had to measure it 3 times to make sure it wasnt to big to keep). After I caught my halibut we moved on to trolling for Silvers (and yes! I did say trolling). Most other charters mooch for silvers due to the large # of people on their boats. With his top of the line downrigggers we limited out on silvers within and hour or two and moved onto rock fish, and btw... if you have never caught rock fish on a reef then you dont know what fun is! It was pouring rain, the fishing was fast and aggressive as the fish were hitting the lure on the way down or up and the weight vs. fight ratio of Rock fish made it the funnest part of the day. My son and I couldnt stop laughing!Thanks to Captain Jackson and Nicki for making our quick trip to Sitka one to remember. This was the BEST fishing excursion we have ever been on. Jackson is knowledgeable, helpful, truly knows where and how to get the best fishing possible. One person in our group got very seasick and he offered to bring him back to our dock at the AirBnB and then took us back out. He’s been in Alaska since 2004 and grew up fishing. Go with this company!!!

Awesome charter. Fished three days in August 2020. We were on salmon and halibut everyday. Jackson Dozier is an excellent captain and guide. Toss in a 12 dozen or so humpback whale sightings, no better place the to fish out of Sitka.
