Terrible speeds, unreliable connection. Has cost me money losing out on work. I’ve been trying to contact them for over two hours with no answer. In the past, when people have actually answered, they are completely unfamiliar with how to fix anything and their English is always very difficult to understand. (Once asked them to rephrase something and they just kept repeating the same unintelligible line over and over).Overpriced frustration… I’ve had way better speeds for half this price and much better customer service. I never thought I would find a worse customer service center than Mediacom’s, but Mediacom never left me on hold for 2 hours just to hang up on me and make me wait hours longer. I sit here on hold being beaten over the head with the same 5 sound bites for hours and hours. Customer torture is their specialty

Internet is unavailable almost daily for a portion of the day. Trying to get help is almost impossible. When the internet is running the connection will drop for seconds at a time making streaming, or gaming near impossible. If youre considering this provider I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I 2nd outage in 2 weeks!! I cant working losing money! Call customer never get through the automated system finally do 1.5 later still on hold 3 different times. Go to chat wait another 2 hrs to be told and outage after disconnected 3 times! Will I get credit?? No this happens all the time. So many complaints to list besides this!!!

They promised AFFORDABLE HIGH SPEED INTERNET.NOT TRUE! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. Its not worth the annoying buffering/lag.Companies like these DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, just your money for their OVERPRICED service.

Tried to get DSL thru CenturyLink in a new construction home. They didnt come when they said they would.. finally came after new sod was layed, tore up the sod that was $3000 to install, and when l complained about it, I was told it was only grass.Then during install they cut the electric line to the house.. after it was connected could never keep it working consistently... cancelled and went to cable..... TERRIBLE

They kept adding a late fee to our original monthly bill and this has happened multiple times. And the last time we called, we got hung up on and when we called back they said they add the late fee to the paper bills because they assume the customers not gonna get it on time🤦🏻‍♀️ Like WHAT

I have called many times to cancel services with this organization and have returned my modem but continue to get billed for services I no longer have. Each time I call they assure me that they will get it taken care of... but I continue to have to call monthly.

I think everyone can attest to the statement “if I could give zero stars I would” this company is absolute trash, WiFi goes down every day and customer service will make it just as frustrating to cancel services. Please listen to reviews and skip this trash company and go for long lines or literally anything else. You could probably even make a computer run on corn and it’d still be faster than this service. Absolutely terrible, and if there was something else we could do (yes even legal action for some who keep getting robbed), I would have half a mind to do it

The quality of internet is awful. We routinely have internet outages, but every time we contact customer service (after having waited for hours) they say it is working exactly as it should. They have come to our house at least 10 times in last three years. Each time they blame the issue on something different than the last. We have had five new routers. They have switched the lines multiple times. Last time they said if we added an entire new line for twice the cost our outages would stop. If they cannot provide stable internet with one line (and I’m not talking about slow, I’m talking about lack of internet connectivity) how would two lines improve that? This company is a complete waste of time and money. If you have a choice avoid them like the plague.

I spoke with a representative yesterday who stated verbatim that our account 5 DMCA violations and threatened suspension of the account. This was very concerning as my roommates and I are medical professionals in continuing university education and only download secured files from our university. I reached out wanting to understand what 5 violations were accused of so that we would avoid any serious inflictions of the account suspension and further legal action. I spoke on the phone with a representative who referred me to the online chat. I was connected with Alex M who said he could not help and referred me to Nilu C. They also said they could not help and transferred me to Moises V who again, transferred me to Maxi R. After spending over 4 hours explaining and getting transferred, I was then told to call back the number I originally called. This was a huge inconvenience and as a long-term customer I am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied. I was not accommodated for any of the inconvenience and do not feel valued as a long-term customers. I will be switching services and recommend you do the same if considering this provider.

I wanted to get my final bill through the mail. As I have no wifi,the screen on my phone is so small. The agent said no cause they already sent me one. My mail is all messed up as I recently moved 2 times. What is so hard about them mailing me the bill. All I want is to pay em.

Refuses to adjust my billing date. I paid for my services 09/08/2020 for the modem to be installed and activated on 09/14/2020. These people did not activate my modem until 09/19/2020 however they refuse to adjust the billing date. I have called 20 times and asked for a supervisor or manager and they REFUSE TO PUT ONE ON. DO NOT WQASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE BEEN A HEADACHE IN MY LIFE SINCE 09/14/2020

Had Centurylink for 10 years. It was flawless until about 3 years ago. Since then, it stops working whenever it rains. Customer service is the worst I have EVER experienced. Hope you like translating foreign languages. Nowadays, it goes out 2-3 times per month for over 24 hours. EVERY MONTH. No bill credits. Or apologies. How sad. They used to be the best in Sioux City. Sigh.

Customer service is HORRIBLE!!! Ive had CenturyLink for about 8 years and the service itself is ok, but oh, that customer service... the worst part is I used to work for CenturyLink and have literally had to walk some agents through the steps to fix my issues!!! Or theyll try to tell me what cant be done and once I explain to a supervisor HOW to do what Im telling them I finally get some resolution. Worst company to work for and to go through for service. Zero stars if I could.

WORST service Ive ever dealt with. Ive had to call 4 times to let them know Im disconnecting my service and each time no one has a clue of whats going on. They still dont! I tried to downgrade my service to only internet. Come to find out they created TWO accounts for me under the same household and billed for both. After all the phone calls I made in April... I find out in June for they STILL have one account active. Still getting bills from them.. I dont recommend auto-pay, if you close an account your account information is froze into their system and you cant remove! Trying to talk with someone is a joke. First, youll wait 20 minutes or more just to speak with someone, then every tech you speak with either barely speaks English or transfers the call several times, and then they end the call. Theres always outages that last over 12 hours. Nothing good to say about them.

I had a phone conversion tonight with a tech at Century Link and she didnt understand what could be wrong and I couldnt understand her with her foreign accent. So nothing got taken care of and the last thing she said was Ill call you right back after I figure out something and she never called back 😡

I’m not typically the person to write reviews, but the customer service is horrible. We were told that we had to wait two weeks for someone to come out and when we waited they didn’t even show up on the assigned day. I kept calling and every single person I talked to had no idea what I was talking about. They are rude and clearly don’t express the values of the company. If you are thinking of starting service, DONT! You will save yourself frustration, and a lot of time!

Dealing with Century Link is by far the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with. We have been without a land line for over a week. I cannot reach a live person, and when I do I get transferred to another department. The on line chat is a joke. This is ridiculous. Since where we live century link is the only company we can get, we are at their mercy. We also have our internet thru them, but are seriously thinking about dropping that and going with someone else and will probably end up dropping the land line if it ever gets fixed. What a Joke!!!!!

Usually, our internet in the past was good. Been with them for the past 8 yrs. Speed was great and its unlimited internet. There were times where the internet wouldnt work for the day but it was very rare like one or twice every other year. Now the internet stops working at least once sometimes twice a month for the entire day!!! Very frustrating to the point that I am considering looking at other internet providers.

I tried to tell them that the No Solicitation service is flawed. It works for people solicitors but not the robot calls. At the end it says to press one or stay on the line for the party to answer. It rings through and it is confusing for an old lady that hears the end of the recording. Service needs to hang up if one is not pressed. Cant find anyone to tell this too.

Customer service is horrible. Speed quality is horrible. Cancelled my service with them and they cant even send out a itemized final bill! They charge you the same for 5mbps service as they do for 12mbps. I switched to cable one!

I would give them no stars if I could. Customer service treated me terribly, never before have I had issues having any other customer service resolving any issues I have, and typically I don’t have any. But this company’s customer service is an absolute joke. I got told I was only trying to get free internet by the rep who wouldn’t give me his name or transfer me to anyone else. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THEM TRUST ME! DONT DO IT!

I don’t normally write negative reviews, but I’ve had the worst customer service from CenturyLink today. My grandma had to move into assisted living, and I called CenturyLink to get her phone number transferred to her new apartment. Eventually I was transferred to someone with an extremely bad connection. It sounded like I was talking to a computer on Jupiter. It was static and I could barely understand the operator. I did tell the person that I was her POA and the person told me that didn’t matter. Since when does a phone company not accept POA documents? Do they think a person with Alzheimer’s and dementia is going to call in to get this done? After 12 minutes of going back and forth and trying to even understand what the person was saying, I asked to talk to a supervisor. The call was dropped. So, I decide to get on their website to start a chat. I started with an agent Stephanie L, then I was transferred to a Christopher M., then I was transferred to Yatsaris V. Finally, it seemed like Yatsaris V. could help me. After this agent read through everything, I verified account information and the agent knew that I was transferring the number to an assisted living facility. The next thing I know, I’m being “upsold” by this agent to purchase DirecTV and Internet. Do you really think an 85-year-old with Alzheimer’s and dementia, who just moved into assisted living needs DirecTV and internet?! How unthoughtful and rude. Then after I say that I just want to get the phone transferred and to stop trying to upsell me, I get a message telling me what the bill will be for my INTERNET services. I then write, “What are you talking about? I’m not ordering internet services.” Keep in mind, I’m STILL chatting with this agent, I’m still not done, and I started the chat exactly 58 minutes ago from this post. Just completely frustrating. Shame on you, CenturyLink. Poorest customer service that I’ve had in a LONG time.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ive requested my bill several times and havent received one yet. Cant log onto my account, cant pay bills, cant do anything without a paper copy. ....its been four months.When Ive called, my apartment number isnt listed, I have no cell phone listed, and my email is not connected. Something is clearly wrong, I know I set all of this up.This company is giving me the run around, and its a joke at this point. Hoping to find a new internet service soon.
