Not sure why someone from 3 years ago would just now decide to leave a comment. Seems pretty irrelevant and clearly needs to find themselves a hobby. I on the other hand have more of an up to date experience. My most recent experience was amazing. The office staff there went above and beyond for me and answered all of my questions. They were patient and so kind hearted. I a, so excited to have this experience and I think anyone would be lucky to live there too

If you want a place that insures you are neighbors with someone trustworthy and honest this is the place to go. They do background checks and make sure you are living in a safe environment. Many negative reviews on here are probably because they’re mad they got denied due to their own life choices. Again, great place to live with managers who truly care about who and what you are around everyday.

This isn’t the complex I’m ultimately interested in but I was very pleased when working with the manager Anyssa. She helped me and suggested some sister properties that were able to ask at me!

I’ve never had an issue with Valley Park apartments and it upsets me to see all the negative reviews. I have always made sure I know the requirements before applying to an apartment and while living somewhere I pay my bills on time and don’t create any trouble and I’ve never had any issues. While they are strict about the background check, I think any potential resident should be grateful for that because it makes us feel a lot safer about the environment we would be living. Give Valley Park a chance and make your own judgement!

So I am new to this town and have a background from six years ago. I get judged everyday for it and I’m so tired of not getting a chance and opportunity. My money for my deposit during the application wasn’t denied they took that real quick I was denied one day later and still have not received my 100$ back they said three to four weeks just give me my money I need to look for a place. People like this is what makes it so hard for the people who are actually trying to just live after living a hard life not possible.

I would just like to say the Leasing Staff at Valley Park Apartments is wonderful. They are so helpful and always following up to make sure everything was going smoothly. I would consider renting with them in the future if my house buying falls through! Highly recommend Valley Park!

Don’t bother paying the application fee because they will make you jump through hoops with no intention on you moving in. They called me all the way to there office numerous time to say things that could have been related over the phone. It’s all a scheme to get your money . My rental background was verified and background check in good standing and they still said they had to push my move in date back or I still may can’t move in. Leasing Agents never offered to show me the unit. I am new to town and their bias behaviors made me hate Sioux City, IA.

It was horrible living here. In the summer the AC wouldnt work theyll come and fix it and in the same day it would stop working again then they wouldnt be able to fix it that day because theyll be fixing other ac units. Before I left I talked to a guy inside the office gave him my one month notice that was leaving already I told him do I need to sign any paperwork he told me no just bring your key and thats it. well thats was a lie, they charged me half of the rent from that month because I didnt do the form. Long story short try looking somewhere else if you dont want headaches.

I looked at these apartments and actually got an application but when I was I informed that the background check was going to cost 135.00 I decided to not even fill out. the app no one charges that much for a background check . There is something not right there and after reading these reviews I will look elsewhere I am not even taking a chance on these apartments .

WARNING: DO NOT RENT HERE!!! (Valley Park or Interstate Apts)If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Buildings and grounds are dirty. Not all buildings and grounds are dirty, the office and surrounding area is somewhat decent. Doors slam, water in basement laundry room for like a month and half and they did nothing, potholes in driveways they fill with sand, rodent, mold, and pest issues, summer time there is no central a/c if your a/c unit fails, youll get a small window unit, maintenance repairs they tell you are going to be completed but never will, not to mention all the items they threaten to charge you with and do charge you with. Property is so old and there are very little updates. Difficult to get out when it snows and takes them forever to clear pathways. I fell down icy steps once, called to inform the office, they did nothing to clear ice. Im not even sure how they havent been reported to health department or city housing/rental inspectors.Maintenance is minimal, not maintenance fault cause theyre actually really great, hes amazing, considering the resources given. Its the management, i.e. the people in the office. Absolutely terrible! Theyre rude, impatient, harassing, deceitful and make note they receive incentives/bonuses for not making repairs, oh sorry, for cost-saving. If you complain or ask for something more than once they retaliate. Im sure theyre decent people just following their companys policies but its still appalling. Dont know how they live with themselves after treating people the way they do. If you pay for a repair yourself dont expect to be reimbursed, if you can even get someone else to repair it.Just pay your rent, all your fees, overlook the slum, and dont ask for any repairs and youll have a great experience here. Im doubting that the positive reviews are genuine. I dont know anyone whos lived there thats had a great experience. Im writing this review so others know what they are getting themselves into. Seek other properties if you can, youre going to pay high prices for low quality and awful service. Its a literal nightmare. Its sad because its in a great location but an eye sore for the neighborhood. If youre still living there get out as soon as you can, seriously.

I hate I ever consider renting or moving into this neighborhood. Leasing agents scheme artist . I never heard of rental verification on a apartment you werent the lease holder or co signer. I regret calling them

I have lived here for a little over a half a year and have no big conplaints and the staff is freindly, the space is big enough, the price is good... All together id recomend this place and i woupd renew a lease here gladly

Apparently they must be full since they didnt bother coming to the showing we setup with them. Pretty sad when we drove 3.5 hrs to see a rental and the manager cant bother to show or call.There is no remedy for this situation, your manager dropped the ball on an appointment and magically couldnt be reached. Thats probably an indication of what renting from you would be like.

The absolute most horrific place I’ve ever lived. I am disabled & have a heart condition. The air conditioner NEVER worked after the 1st summer.we lived there 5 yrs. Not a maintenance issue. Management issue. They wouldn’t let him fix things. Black Mold in bathroom. Bed bugs from the 1st day. Tried to give them a chance to do the right thing. They refused. Manager then began the harassment. I just thank God we finally saved enough money to purchase a home. Not one positive thing to report about Valley Park Apts in Sioux City

I ASKED TO HAVE MY LOCKS CHANGED BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER WAS ABLE TO OPEN IT WITH A KNIFE WITH IN SECONDS...I ASKED FOR A NEW LOCK AND I WAS GIVIN A INTERIOR DOOR LOCK........I HAVE BEEN HERE GOING ON THREE AND A HALF YEARS AND HAVE OTHER STORIES BUT THIS IS THE LATEST ASSINHEIM ..TIRED OF IT ALL!!! WAS TOLD IT WAS A NEW LOCK AND I WAS GIVIN ONE KEY AND IT LOOKED OLD..THAT IS WHY I ASKED....I WAS TOLD IT WAS A NEW LOCK !! LIARS..TIRED OF DOING WHAT I AM SUPPOSE TO DO BUT THEY DONT!! DONE DONE DONE

I agree totally with the horrible door slamming at the Valley Park Apartments in Sioux City. I lived in 2 different buildings there over the past 6 years and management there refuses to put insulation/padding on the doors to stop them from slamming and the residents just let them slam so u r faced with horrible constant door slamming all day, and mind u there are 5 apts in each building and the slamming doors just echo, interfering with ur peaceful enjoyment and your sleep driving you crazy all day and management will not fix the situation whatsoever as i have tried on and off for 6 years! If you move into Valley Park be prepared for extreme loudness. Dont say I didnt warn you ahead of time!!!!!!!!!!!! T

I just moved out of Valley Park Hell after 2 years. I couldnt take it anymore!!! Every door in the building just SLAMS! they have no padding on the doors to stop the constant slamming by other residents and they dont put a door ease on the doors so they dont slam. The doors automatically SLAMS becuz they have no padding or door ease on ANY of the doors in any of their building and they have 5 apts per building so just imagine doors slamming almost constantly throughout the day & my apt complex had kids running up & done the halls slamming their doors and management does nothing about it! No wonder why they have all these vacancies! & the main office doesnt know what is going on half the time. Its unprofessional and ridiculous! They say they care about residents to get you to move in, but when you have complaints about door slamming and kids they do nothing at all!!!! Thanks God im out of that loud, uncaring HELLHOLE called Valley Park Apts!

This place is a joke. Dont live here.

Terrible place to live been here only one month no blinds carpet is nasty whole house just stinks complained multiple times....Now they playing with my rent amount I’m over this place already
