The transmission on my 2014 Ford Escape started to fail when my wife was returning from an exercise class. She barely made it to the Forest Glen station. Although my insurance company would have paid to tow the Escape to a local Ford dealership or Aamco for repairs, I decided get an assessment and estimate from Carlos. He ran it through its diagnostics and showed me the error code readout, gave me his recommendation and a quote for a parts and labor. I researched it online and found his diagnosis to be accurate and his prices for parts and labor very competitive.The Escape repairs were done on time and included a 100K warranty as well as a 1000 mile free after service check to ensure everything is working correctly. I drove it on a 500 mile trip shortly after it was repaired and everything worked fine.When you walk into his service center office, there are a number of training certificates on the wall, something you might typically expect to see at a major car dealership. What I discovered is Carlos use to work for Criswell Chevrolet for a number of years before going into business for himself. As a result, you are getting great technical expertise at a much lower hourly rate charged by a dealership.I would definitely recommend Carlos and his Forest Glen BP for repairs. Now that my cars are all past their warranty, I will likely go to Carlos for all future repairs and preventative maintenance. He is honest, hard working, and competitively priced.

I am new to Maryland from out of state and needed state safety inspections for my two vehicles, both of which are 10+ years old. The Maryland inspection is quite rigorous compared to my old state. The guys here provided excellent service, detailed everything that needed to be done to pass inspection. Some of the repairs were simple I did myself and some required big work under the hood, most of which were repairs I knew my cars needed but had neglected for a long time. Herbert kept me up to date as they worked on my cars and got them done in the time I needed. The mechanics in the shop were courteous and did a good job. I will be coming back for all future service needs.

Took our old Jeep in because the check engine light was on. Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and kept in close contact with us as he worked on it. He did not pressure us into unnecessary repairs or parts, and was more than fair on the charges for labor hours. The car is back up and running again, and we were very happy with the service. I am from Pa and was traveling when my rear tire picked up a nail. My lucky stars led me to this service station. I was treated so well and my tire was fixed in 20 min of showing up. They were awesome with pricing and did not over charge me when they seen my out of state plate. If I were local I would definitely use them for my auto maintance. Management was exceptional.

I live in DC and went to this BP because my girlfriend had been there and was very satisfied with their service. This is a great place to do your maintenance and inspection repairs. They are reliable, timely and efficient. Herberth listens intently and explains everything in terms you can understand. He showed me the parts that needed replacing before removing them and explained the process. I felt I was in good hands. I will return here if I ever need any work done. Better than Honda dealerships.

Well, I just purchased my vehicle from the auction & needs mechanical work done in order to meet the requirement to pass the MD state inspection that Forest glen BP is performing for my vehicle. Its been a delightful experience at this local shop, will definitely be coming back to have my vehicle serviced for any major or even minor work. forest glen BP & the staff are outstandingly reasonable in every aspect.. There work is honest, worthy of paying because your vehicle will be in good hands & will have any issues resolved the proper way. Henry performed all the work on my vehicle, which involved replacing front suspension control arms, as well as a severe power steering leak that required me to have the rack & pinion replaced. everything was properly replaced & done in a timely manner that was both convenient for myself & the shop. I was having issues with my alignment in the rear suspension of my vehicle, after so many tried to repair it, forest glen BP was the only one to properly fix it & figure it out, vehicle was aligned & I no longer have alignment problems, Im super satisfied & I promise you would be too. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by if you ever have any problems with your vehicle. they specialize in foreign & domestic vehicle, & will fix anything from as little as a tire plug all the way to replacing your engine or transmission if needed. I always take my car forest glen BP. They do a great job. They are super honest, accommodating, and easy to work with. I have an older car which often needs repair so I go there quite a lot. I used to drive my car all the way out to Rockville but no need to anymore. Also, I am a mom who works full time and my schedule is super crazy so I need a shop that can accommodate me in the really late afternoon and early morning. They are awesome. Highly recommend

Im fortunate to live within walking distance of Forest Glen BP. Ive been taking my car there for three years, for both regular maintenance and repair. Ive found them to be honest, fair, and reliable, and I appreciate that they never try to up-sell me on services I dont need. Dropping a car off after-hours is easy, thanks to the 24-hour gas station convenience store attached to the shop. Theyve always been able to get my car back to me the same day I brought it in, and Ive never had any problems with their repairs after I got the car back.

The garage/mechanic that is apart of this BP station is great! They are honest and work with you to try to help you get the best price for repairs on your vehicle. I got an state inspection done and they let me know what needed to be fixed and told me what I could fix myself. Once I fixed some stuff myself, I brought it back to the shop for them to fix the remaining problems. They are genuine and great mechanics, trying to earn an honest dollar. Forest Glen BP Auto Repairs does great work at a reasonable price and in record time. Weve been dealing with them for years (3+ vehicles serviced and repaired routinely, including Volvos.) We have always been very happy with the work they do. They get the problems fixed and keep our cars running smoothly.

Ive gone to Forest Glen BP for oil changes, brake work and some overall maintenance issues with several cars. Ive found them honest and capable and their prices are in line with others. I dont know anything about their restrooms or coupons, but Kathy, the manager, has always been straightforward and easy to talk to.

This BP station has been under new management for well over a year now. They have made some great improvements. We actually took our car and truck to the previous mechanic which was not very friendly. The new management under Amaan is wonderful. They provide auto repair services and auto mechanic services. They now have a great little convenience store which wasnt there previously and even propane gas refills for your gas grill. If you are looking for repairs to your car or an auto mechanic in the Forest Glen area go check these guys out. They will provide you wonderful customer service. This is best neighborhood repair garage in the Silver Spring area.

I have always had a positive experience when taking my car for repairs at this service station. Kathy, the Service Manager has always been honest and fair. I have never felt like I was overcharged, or told that something needed to be fixed that was different than what I knew before I went there needed to be fixed. My cars have always worked right once the repairs have been done.Their price for Gasoline, however, is always a bit higher than other nearby stations.

Cant say enough positive things about Herberth and the way Forest Glen BP helped me out. Bought a used car that needed to be MD inspected, they found some pressing issues and dealt with my auto insurance to facilitate repairs. In my first visit to Forest Glen BP to get a tire fixed, Carlos responded immediately. He found the problem, removed the nail, installed the plug and the job was done. Then he proceeded to adjust the pressure in each tire. Then when I offered to pay him he refused and just asked that I drop by when my car needs work. Total elapsed time: 10 minutes. I’ve brought three cars here for service with a combination of major (broken tie rod) to minor (oil change, state inspection), and have been satisfied every time. The prices have been fair and repairs were done correctly, without a need for a return visit.

I just had my first experience with this BP station. I brought in a used car that I had just purchased for MD State inspection. I was a nervous wreck when Herbert told me that it hadnt passed due to a steering wheel issue. After asking him to proceed with diagnosing the problem, the next day he called me back to explain the issue to me. I was very impressed with how thoroughly and patiently he explained the issue and answered my questions. He also explained that there were three different options for the part I needed, which varied in price. He recommended that I choose the most expensive one because it was the best in quality, but he wasnt pushy about his recommendation at all. I dont know how the cost of the repair compares to other mechanics in the area, but that wont stop me from coming back here because I really value good customer service.

This BP has changed management and I feel so fortunate that it is right in my neighborhood. The check engine light came on in my 2009 Kia and acceleration was sluggish. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly and took the time to explain everything in detail. My car drives like a dream now. With past mechanics, my biggest frustration was not being able to talk directly to the people working on my car and having to make multiple return trips until they finally fixed the issue. That is not the case with this business. Another bonus is, they always pick up the phone when you call. Carlos and Herberth are some of the nicest, most honest guys you can entrust your car with. Highly recommend!

This station is nearby us in the neighborhood. We routinely get service for two cars here (Acura RDX and Toyota Prius). The work is always fast, complete, trustworthy and professional. Recently, close friends drove from Chicago to visit us. The day they planned to return, they completely lost power steering. We immediately took the car to the BP where Carlos, their mechanic, diagnosed a major problem as well as identifying shoddy work done for them (critical bolts not tightened on the suspension) earlier in Chicago. New parts were found and replaced; our friends were able to return safely to Chicago where the car continues to function well.These guys are a great, customer-focused, friendly and professional team!

Amaan, the manager is very friendly and reasonable. Carlos the mechanic is very competent. Carlos managed to fix my pickup trucks ECM (Engine Control Modules) issue which was the root cause of the Service Engine Soon came on and off intermittently and caused the engine to sometimes be cut off while driving or waiting at a traffic light. Sent the pickup truck to many auto shops and also to Herb Gordon Nissan dealer (left it for a day), none could figure out the issue. The suggestion was may need to replace the fuel pump for over $800. Glad that Carlos fixed the issue. Even though it took him a week and $1,000 to get it fixed, but I am happy with his works and his professionalism. Thanks to Carlos and Amaan!

I agree with everyone elses review. STAY AWAYYYYYY from this place. There were red flags from the moment I stepped out of my car, but I decided to give her a chance. I will not being going back.The woman working there is extremely rude and lacks even basic communication skills. She is overdramatic and makes smart ass remarks. She doesnt like explaining any of the work that she claims needs to be done on your car so dont even bother asking her any questions. You will be met with an attitude instead. And she will cut you off when you try to ask her something, or she will talk right over you.The prices are not too bad, but I am certain she lies about services that the car needs.
