I stepped back in time for a few minutes today. I havent been in Bishopps in almost 50 years. As with his Grandparents, the part I needed, and was in my hand in no time. Im visiting for a few days, and have seen some places and people I havent seen in decades. Bishopps has moved, but the service came with the move.Thank you so much!

Have seen their ads in the Greenfield Reporter for years. Our oven quit working (for the second time) so we decided to try Bishopps in Shelbyville. I got on their website before we went an knew exactly what I wanted and how much it would cost. Extremely friendly, knowledgable service, and the price ended up at $100 LESS than I expected! We went on a Saturday morning and got a delivery date of Monday. This may be my new favorite place to purchase appliances. Definitely worth checking out.

Bought $2,500 worth of appliances from this place...we bought a new house, moved, and needed new appliances. We always support local businesses, so was told that this place was good.They were wrong. First, I was told that I had to have a plumber install the dishwasher, that was the first lie. Next, the delivery for all my appliances never happened, didnt get a call, I had to chase Doug to get answers, and pretty much got so frustrated that I just wanted it over with. Was told plumber was Dougs brother, he is not. Many times the ball was dropped and was pretty much told to get over it. Pretty much a rip off when my fridge came in dented, and they offered 150 off, but on closer inspection, theres many places dented and scratched. Pretty sure they pull this with others...I am going to call all the manufacturers to make sure I actually have a warranty, they took all of that, claiming they turn it in. Seems sketchy, and I will not recommend to anyone. Will not buy from them again. Going to do some investigating on what is up, feel like I got the run around much of the time.I will say that the plumber guy was nice, but didnt show up on the last day he was supposed too, so my husband finished the job in less than 5 minutes. That was about the only thing that was positive.EDIT.....After posting this, about a week and a half later, one of our cars had its tire slashed. Personally, Im not surprised. This has prompted us to install IR cameras, three to be exact, and contacted the local police department. Report was made, and they suggested the cameras, so we are covered. Now, we have video of basically anyone that remotely comes close to our home, nice, clear, crisp video, day or night, front and back, all recorded. Got some pretty funny video of the neighbors, trying to back up their truck. Needed the laugh. Oh, and the two guys that showed up, took pics of our house, no they were not insurance, got their license plate number, and and the local police are aware of you. No worries, we will have everything on video.

Needed an affordable fridge due to the kitchen fridge dying and repair being over 2 weeks out. After 2 days of calling around for repairs and looking at big box stores Lowes and Home Depot I was finally recommended to look at Bishopps appliance from an employee that works at one of those big box stores because they could not sell me anything that meet my needs and that I could take home that day.Even though Bishopps was further away than I had expected to go to get a fridge I was impressed with their inventory, knowledge of products, and their customer service. When I need a new appliance in the future Bishopps is the place I will go first and recommend to anyone that I hear is looking for affordable appliances.

Right on the circle in downtown Shelbyville this locally owned and operated family business has been around for many many years providing service on appliances as well as sales of new appliances. They stock several of the main major brands this way it saves you a trip to the big city. The staff is always been that friendly knowledgeable and helpful and what they offer. Parking is easy on the circle if you go during the daytime or you can park on an off site parking lot near there thats just a short walk to their door. If youre looking for a new appliance be sure and stop in here and give them a try.

An amazing place to buy appliances. They dont have hundreds of brands but what they do have is a good set of brands for the appliances you need. They have a standard one year warranty on all parts for anything you buy and other brands have much longer warranties. The person selling us our washer and dryer was probably the most knowledgable person I have ever met when buying appliances. He could answer any question you had and knew even the most technical specifications. I was reccomeded here by a friend and would recommend any of you try here first when buying appliances.

I was so pleased that the gentleman knew all i needed was a nob for my dryer, and not a service call, and parts. God Bless businesss that still are honest to their customers.

Local appliance place. Mostly GE stuff. Local service too. Save a trip to Indy. Might want to do your own research first though. They arent overly helpful.

I have bought from this place twice now. Both times service is good, knowledgeable staff. But both times they have dropped the ball. First time they somehow screwed up some paperwork which resulted in me waiting for my refund way to long. But owner fixed it after I was finally done dealing with a guy named Doug who works there. Second time I again have to deal with Doug. He again dropped the ball, dont want to go into details but Im again waiting to have my issue fixed. If you dont want to drive out of town give them a shot, but do all paperwork yourself and dont rely on Doug to follow through.

Friendly people. Delivery next day. Told me my appliance would be delivered between 9-10.Knock on the door at 9:00, dryer was installed and running at 9:20.What more could you ask for.Thank You!

Good place to buy appliances only down fall they need to let a guy a hour in advance on delivery they just show up a phone call would be nice
