Great barber shop! Tanner does an awesome job every time we come in for a cut. The guys are always fun to be around- lots of laughter and joking. They’re great with kids, too!

I just moved to Kansas from NYC and I had not had a haircut in months. My hair was looking bad and it was bothering me, but I got busy with things around the house and lost track of time. It was 515pm and I googled barbershops near me. All were closed or about to close and most didnt open until Tuesday...except for Crisp Cuts, so that was the place.Of course, I was concerned that I was going to be that guy....you know, the guy who comes in late in the day, but I thought its a business, so Ill give it a try. Whats the worst that can happen?Sure enough, it looked like everyone had left for the day, and while it was still only 6pm and the stated closing time is 7pm, I would fully understand if i was sent packing. Bobby was still there and was more than gracious in seeing me. It was a 25 minute drive, so it was more than appreciated.Bobby is a good man. I truly enjoyed talking with him and I felt like I was getting a haircut by an old friend. Even better, when I got home, my wife loved my hair - cant ask for more than that. Her stamp of approval is key. Moving to a new place is not easy. Need to establish places to go even you need things. In this case, I have found THE barbershop in Kansas and Ill be back to see Bobby next time I need a haircut.

We had an amazing conversation while he cut my hair and trimmed and lined up my beard perfectly. Their shop was clean and the staff was professional and friendly. I get my haircut by Jon. I’ve had a cut from another barber there once because Jon didn’t have availability that particular day and the cut was good also. But Jon is the best barber I’ve ever had. Has never left me with a haircut that I didn’t like and I am a picky person. I’ve been other shops all over but no others have compared. The level that Jon cuts at, he should own his own shop. He cuts great but also he takes his time to make sure you don’t leave his chair with an end result that you aren’t absolutely pleased with. If one of his cuts is running a bit longer than expect he’s courteous and lets you know. If he has availability earlier he hits you up to see if you want to get in earlier. And his cuts never appear rushed because again he takes his time to make sure your cut looks immaculate before you leave. His cuts are so great that I would rather wait until he has availability than go to another shop or another barber in general (not saying that the other barbers at this shop aren’t great. I seen others walk out admirable haircuts.) But as a matter of personal preference, I would choose Jon and recommend him to anyone thinking about getting a new barber. I’ve been getting my haircut by him for a little over a year and he has always maintained his professionalism, perfectionism, and has shown his appreciation to all his clients through his phenomenal work. The shop has a great environment and top notch barbers. And you shouldn’t hesitate to book an appointment there.

My barber retired, another moved away had several friends recommended Crisp Cuts, they are walking distance to my house. Made random appointment with Courtney for first time, he did a great job. Went back six weeks later, another great cut, beard line etc. This place is awesome.

We have had nothing but GREAT experiences at Crisp Cuts. Our 2 yr old son gets his hair cut here with John and my husband gets his hair cut here as well. My son gets a fade and we are always getting compliments on how sharp and crisp his hair looks. Been coming here since we moved to town recently and so glad we found it; we are here to stay!

This is hands down my favorite barber shop, this place sets the bar high on quality and service. Always leave with a great haircut and have good conversation while there. Ive been going to Courtney for 7 years and this man is one of the best in the business. Kind, courteous, and professional.

I arrived @ 09:00 a.m. this morning. I received the reminder email and text on yesterday March 16. I waited for 15 minutes. Whoever the barber is, and I wont name names. It was very unprofessional not to receive a call either saying that they didnt want a new customer they wasnt going to make it at all. I have no stars to give, but I didnt have the option to give no stars.

Im convinced John gives the best skin fades in all of KC. Ive been to several of the best barbershops in and around KC to find the perfect skin fade and John nails it every single time - none of the other barbershops come close to the quality of his work. Price point is perfect too.My only complaint is that out of the 40 appointments Ive had with John to date, he has only been on time about twice. Usually he runs 15-25 minutes late on his appointments. Didnt knock a star off because once you get in the chair, he doesnt rush to try to get back on schedule. He ensures he gives you your time to make you look great.

If I could give them 6 stars I would. I went to Marcus for my first cut at Crisp Cuts on 3/6/2020 and had a great experience. I told Marcus I’d be back for my next cut with him. My next time in was 5/29/2020 (closure for COVID-19) and I looked completely different. Marcus met me at the door and said “You came back!” If I ever move, I may have to make special trips home to see them. Awesome crew! Talented folks, too!

I had a great experience. My barber, Cooper, was on time for my appointment and picked up right where my last barber left off. I got a shave and cut. I will def be back and a regular customer. I would highly recommend this spot!

We were in a hurry to get a cut and other places, according to online, wait time was going to be an hour. I walked in to Crisp Cuts in Independence and signed him right up. (Never set foot in this place or heard of it) I actually found this place looking for another barber. They got my 15 y. o. immediately and begun cutting away. At the end my son stood up and looked at me and I could tell he wanted it shorter but didnt want to say anything. It was already past closing time and the boys were finishing up in the shop. The owner looked right at my son and asked him to sit down. He then took time to finish it up and stayed late closing even though it was time to go home and call it a night. Not only did he fix it but he also was teaching the other barbers some tricks and skills of my sons particular hair/style. I was completely amazed in the patience this place had. All smiles. Very respectful, super professional and my son is super proud of his hair !!! Thank you all. We will be back and wont go anywhere else !

Been going here shortly after I moved to the Kansas City area. Best barber shop around. Bobby is the ultimate professional and runs a great business. You can’t go wrong with any of the barbers at any of the two locations. Bobby and John both do excellent work and are my go-tos. Only place to go if you want a crisp fade.

This barbershop would be the best in town but I would like more of the classic barbershop atmosphere. You know, music, conversation, laughter, vendors, good music and jokes. This place has potential but a little too uptight.

I went to get my hair cut today, out of 6 barbers only one has mask on, two has mask on but placed under their nose and three without mask. People are playing pool inside this barbershop with no mask on. No 6feet rules are followed. When I ask my barber why they not putting their mask on his response was “don’t worries they are not cutting your hair” I told him they are not 6 feet way he try to make fun of me by saying “pls stay away from my customer he is having panic attack” I told him what he is doing is trying to make fun of me and intimidating me for speaking up. I told him that show his level of ignorance. I will never go back to this place to get my hair cut, not even after the pandemic. They have no concerns about this public health and our Kansas is in red zone for Covid -19 infected rate.

Well first they pushed my appointment back an hour, which I was cool with. Then I arrive at 10:30, my appointment time, walk in and am told to please wait in the car for my barber to come get me...waited 5 min..10 min..15 min..then got a bit irritated so went in to check in, my barber tells me to take a seat and proceeds to take someone else right in front of me? Like what the hell? Not even an apology or some type of professionalism. Literally acting like I’m not even there. Never going back.

I had a scheduling issue where the Barber had to cancel and I arrived to an appointment that didnt happen. The owner reached out to me to make things right, which I really appreciate.

Great Barbershop with good Barbers.

I have Multi-cultural hair which means it is thick, curly, reacts to humidity and it holds heat. It has bee difficult finding a salon/shop that understands how to manage and style my hair without extreme heat or chemicals. I was told about a barber at Crisp Cuts that knew how to do Womens hair also so I went. I was amazed. Aubrey did exactly what I asked and it looked and felt great! I will definitely go back!❤

This is my new and favorite Barbershop. Cooper Parnell is the best hair stylist I have ever had. She took her time to give the great hair cut and she trim my beard. Most people or places Ive been to never take the quality time she did. TRUST me Gentleman this young lady is Legit. I well never go to anyone else.

All barbers are dope but I prefer Farley or Terrance personally...not a knock against any of the others just mainly have been in the care of these 2 in particular... It never fails I get plenty compliments every time I leave out...best shop in KC Metro area for a number of reasons I cant lie to you...best of all WALK INS WELCOME!!! May have to wait awhile for one to open up depending on the day but this feature is rare and often underestimated in the barber industry...I drive by plenty other shops to go here believe me its worth the trip every time!!! He gets my boys in back to back, and deals well with the special requests and all the questions (boys!😂.) I always recommend Terrance, and Crisp Cuts as a whole to anyone asking for a great shop!

Bryan hooked me up before my big night. The haircut was tight which made the night right. As I was sitting in the chair, I noticed that everyone else was looking tight too. What a collection of stylists. I have lived in this city most of my life. The problem I had was, you find a good stylist and the next time you go in, they have gone somewhere else. This place had a good vibe, good music, and good conversations. Of course there is going to be a long line of people, most good places do. If it was empty, I would be very concerned. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! I was in and out no problem. I would recommend this place to anyone. They are the best of the best. If you go in and check it out, you will see it for yourself. If not, take your rear to the Chinese guy down the street and let him mess your stuff up. Meanwhile I be getting the top notch cut by the top notch place. Thanks Bryan, Im impressed.

Just took my 4 year old here for his first real haircut, and loved the experience. There was a great atmosphere, and you can tell that the barbers are a close group. There were great haircuts all around the room. My son usually squirms all over the place, but kudos to Brian for getting him to sit still while he gave close attention to his hair for over 40 minutes!! It was easily worth more than the price of the haircut. Well definitely be back.

Crisp Cuts is by far one of the best Barber shops in the city. They offer a variety of services, but most importantly offer old straight razor shaves. I met the owner a few year ago at a charity event and have not stopped coming since. Regretfully I had to move out of state, but still schedule my visits around getting my haircut, that is how good these guys are. They are always professional and the atmosphere is family oriented, so no matter your age or lifestyle, you are always welcome at Crisp Cuts!!

Avoid Courtney. I visited here one day after work (6 pm appointment) and got arguably the worst cut I ever had in my life. Clippers were rough and hurt like hell. The finished haircut was okay. Shame because this place has great barbers, but be warned you can get a bad cut if you sit in the wrong chair. John, Terrance, Fairley, Cooper are the truth and I recommend them.*Update 1 yr. later: I see that this company responded to my original post. Its not my job to try to find out whos management to notify them on a bad haircut. Its not like you guys have signs or a nameplate that says whos management, so I would be guessing. I made my review public because that was what happened to me, so accept it and do better.

Ive had great experiences here except for today. We used to always see Terrance but we quit coming here after we moved. We decided to come back and unfortunately for us he was promoted. We really didnt have a preference on the barber assuming everyone there was amazing. The barber was running late and came in smelling of pot and eyes all glassy. He didnt really do the haircut I wanted for my kiddo, and didnt consult with me after the cut was done to see if anything needed to be fixed. So, I went home and faded the back the way I wanted it. We will return to the shop, just not to that certain barber.

This is a great Barbershop!! Very professional staff and environment in general. It is upscale in there. No offensive music or language and the haircuts are always on point. I love the online appointment option and the long business hours. I read some of the one star reviews here and nothing they state is correct at all. Everyone has their opinions but the statements are not true. I would recommend this shop to anybody looking for a great haircut and great customer service!

No stars here at all and that I am very very very upset about the whole situation I referral so many people to this place its not funny you would of thought I worked there now I have searched all over for a decent barber and I walked in this place and waited a couple of hours and man was it worth it talk about crisp it was so good I went to all three of my jobs and did nothing but talked about this place being so close to home now from different employees to customer people come and then come and tell me how oh that place is expensive but all or always happy because I always explain you get what you pay for and they laugh with me and yet go again now I dont make it there much as I would like to but I send my wife and kids all the time and man did I get a treat for that I come home to find out my wife has been talking to the barber and sending sexual text and pics and videos to this guy name d jones what a disappointment I put my trust in this place yet along with my wife and kids who all get there hair cut there now if this guy contacts my wife one more time I will send a sheriff to serve papers and Im not playing I have all the info I need to take this guy to court I dont play with petty stuff like this I work hard to support my family and we dont need stuff like this in our life Courtney has been great wish I could make it there more but sorry sir I will no longer returning to this barbershop and to the other guy who has hooked me up on Mondays iv been there ill still you around at my other job and will always say whats up no hard feelings this stuff was just not right
