I wasn’t going to do a review but I really didn’t like my hair cut Shanon probably cuts other people’s hair good but not mine! First she cut 3 more inches than I wanted I Wanted layers but all my layers are at the end of my hair and she didn’t put any product on before blow drying it and then she didn’t have me see the back of my hair when done she’s a nice person but my hair is now medium length and so thick I hate it. You have to put something on the hair before you blow dry it and have the client see the back of their hair in the mirror that’s just a given. It Was more like a $20 hair cut rather than a $40

Shannon is a freakin gem! The cut looks fantastic straight AND naturally curly which is something not all hairdressers know how to do (much experience with that!) love my cut and balayage!

I really appreciated having a human answer the phone. After making an appointment it was necessary for me to change it, which they did with no problem. The person cutting and coloring my hair listened, checked with me multiple times as to my satisfaction, and did a great job.

I hadnt been before and got Shannon for a color. I wanted blond highlights and dark purple on my underneath layer. Being in my 50s I wanted a bold color but not overwhelming like I would if I was younger. She did an amazing job, gave me exactly what I wanted. Ill definitely be back. I couldnt be more pleased. I have been coming here for 4 years now. Everyone that works here is very nice and welcoming. Shannon is my hair stylist but yet everyone that works there knows my name. Compared to the Hair Shop in Olathe, this place is night and day better. Shannon is awesome at what she does and anyone should get their hair done by her.

CharLee is an amazing stylist! I would never let anyone else touch my hair or my children’s. She takes her time to ensure she gets the perfect color and cut you want. Her work is truly an art!

Lindsey is the greatest. Been going here for a few months and won’t go anywhere else. I’m a guy and it’s been hard for me to find a good place to go that actually knows how to cut guys hair and knows my style. Definitely recommend Lindsey for guys and girls wanting the best of the best hair.

I was in search of a nice Salon, I have been to many. I was looking for one that was clean, not too big and didnt have bold lighting in my face, I was looking for a warm and pleasant atmosphere. I wanted to walk in to friendly people that made me comfortable.....I found it here at Salon Savvy! These girls do a great job and you can tell that they take pride in their work. I have been taken care of by the owner, Nancy and her assistant manager Alison, I think they are truly kind and caring people, they actually listen to what you want and will do a good job. Nancy H has been cutting my hair since I was a kid, and she always does an awesome job! She takes her time and asks me questions to make sure I am satisfied with my hair. Salon Savvy also makes scheduling easy and provides a great environment.

I have gotten my hair done here for about a year. My son is 5 and needed his haircut also. My son has autism and has a meltdown each time he gets his hair touched, let alone cut. Lindsey is super patient with him and has cut his hair for the last 6 months. She even got special cordless clippers to try to make it as stress free as possible for him. We went in tonight to get the usual haircut. My son freaked out as he usually does with crying, screaming, sweating, runny nose and all. Lindsey and I have it down to a fine art and it only takes about 10 minutes, if that. The owner, Nancy, kept glaring at us. She then had the nerve to tell us to take him outside on the sidewalk and finish cutting his hair outside. So picture us, standing outside in the 90 degree weather trying to cut my sons hair, in the middle of an emotional breakdown with people walking by and staring. It was the most undignified experience I have ever had. I can’t control the fact that my son has autism. I can’t control the fact that he has sensory overload. But I control where he gets his haircut and it will never be here again.

Love the staff and they will not lie to you; they genuinely care about how you will look when done. They also have fair pricing.

A few ladies recommended this place on NextDoor App after someone reached out for recommendations. Being fairly new to Shawnee, I read the reviews on Yelp and Google. I called right away to set up an appointment. I was scheduled with the owner, Nancy. What a treat, Nancy was super sweet and really fun to talk to. I explained to her about my hair and told her how I havent had a good haircut in a very long time. She explained to me why a certain cut was good for my type of hair, which I loved. I have now found my new stylist. She did an amazing job on my hair. What I also love, is that she didnt push any product on me like most salons do. Her salon is very clean and didnt make me feel like I was going to break something. Prices were very reasonable as well.

Nancy at Salon Savvy is awesome! She has recently done some amazing biolage coloring on my hair and its absolutely perfect. I showed her a picture of some coloring that I liked on Pinterest and she nailed the coloring to a T! I got a lot of compliments on my hair and I highly recommend this Salon for any cut, coloring or styling for yourself, family and friends!

Just got back from getting my haircut. My stylist was Alison and she was absolutely Amazing! I Recommend her! I was greeted at the door, started my appointment right at 4:15, very gentle when washing and brushing my hair, answers any questions I had, made me feel super comfortable, and was very nice. I’ve never had any issues with salon savvy. I always get my hair done here. With that said I was extremely embarrassed and disappointed. I recommend to a friend that she go get her hair cut here. She was greated by someone who had. I had enough coffee and in a terrible mood. The lady then proceeded to tell her “oh no brush this morning you are a mess” after my friend had told her she was hadn’t had her hair cut in a while because well... life! She had a rare day off during the week and wanted to treat herself. Instead of a great relaxing experience it was horrible. I will not be going back and now I wonder if people will trust my recommendations. I get everyone has a bad day I am the same way. But working in the service industry you gotta leave it at the door. I feel that Nancy owes my friend an apology.

Salon Savvy is such a nice place! excellent reception, clean, a good host of products to buy, and a very nice and open atmosphere. I have been seeing Karissia for YEARS. She is friendly, accurate and quick, the only one I will let cut my hair (because she literally always gets it right, unlike some other stylists) She is also a fantastic colorist and is great at styling, definitely love going to see her there.

My son and I both recieved haircuts today by Shannon. This was our first visit to the salon, based on a coworkers recommendation, and I was ecstatic! The salon is clean and feels cozy, and we recieved a warm, sunny greeting when we walked in. I was so happy with my haircut, after many disappointing attempts at finding someone to do my hair, and I am so happy to have found my new go-to salon! Shannon took the time to listen to me when I was explaining what I wanted, and really showed that we were on the same page. My nervousness quickly abated because of this, and I was able to relax and be excited to see how my hair would turn out. I just want to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job and for being such kind ladies!

The best salon around! Mackenzi worked magic on my hair and made my experience a relaxing and fun one. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The stylists are welcoming and the salon is beautiful. I will never go to another salon! I left feeling like a millions bucks and looking 10 years younger. Mackenzi took the time to make sure all of my hair needs were met and even explained how to style my new cut as she styled it herself. The price could not be beat for everything that I had done and I am so thankful that I found Salon Savvy and my new favorite stylist!
