Came here for a standard massage and loved every second of it! Wish I had decided to go for the ninety minute massage instead of the sixty minute massage. Professional and friendly staff was welcoming and provided service that went above and beyond what I normally expect to receive at a spa. If I lived in Seattle I would definitely come back, but since I don’t live here all I can do is HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone.

Ive been going to Habitude on and off for over a decade now. Every single time Ive been there its been clean and the employees have been friendly and professional. It can be pricey at times but I find its worth it to pay a little more to get consistent quality (especially when it comes to hair color!) I have tried many other salons in Seattle with mixed results but here I have never had any problems either with hair, massage, or waxing appointments. Employees and scheduling has always been high quality and dependable.

It’s sad that one terrible cut can scare you away from coming back to a place. I may get the courage to try them again in the future but right now I’m just devastated. I asked for a messy, piecy bob. My identity is a bit connected to my hair and I’m usually good at styling an unfavorable cut but this one really missed the mark. It ended up being one of those soccer mom bobs with super blunt and clean edges that naturally curls under. I can’t explain how much I absolutely hate this kind of cut and how hard it is to fix by styling it. I sound a little crazy, I know,but I have to share my experience. I even brought in some picture examples of the messy/textured style I wanted. I would have given them 1 star for how sad I am, but they have really tried to make it right by scheduling an appointment to fix it (and being super attentive and apologetic - they stand by their cuts and they DO want to fix it) but I am too traumatized and worried about cutting into my hair any more. I don’t have much left to work with :(

During these difficult times, Habitude stands out as a company that is open AND responsible to the community. They are 100% compliant when it comes to wearing masks, doing a temperature check at the door and keeping clients 6 feet apart. Habitude has always been spotless, but now they do extra sanitation cleaning between clients and keeping the salon impeccably clean. I feel comfortable and safe going here.

I had a phenomenal experience with Sarah at Habitude. I finally got my rainbow hair! She also spoke very highly of the management/owner, and how supportive they were of the stylists learning new things and improving their skills. 1 star lost b/c parking is inconvenient (I parked a couple blocks away on a residential street for free), and b/c I got apprentice pricing but cannot speak to value at full price. I would definitely recommend Sarah as well as this salon.

I had an appointment with Celeste for an all over color. I wanted a chocolate brown color which she did great with picking out the color and the application. After a couple of days I noticed that the color was washing out of my hair. I could see the color was fading so I called to make an appointment and they fit in me in that day! I saw Dan and he was very informative on why the color was washing out of my hair. He did another application and the color turned out great and has stayed in my hair. They both did a great job on achieving my hair goals and it was refreshing to get great customer service.

Warm light, good, clean smell, Spa feeling, friedly awsome people and customer service!I have curls and struggled since forever with finding somebody who understands how to cut them right. A week ago, Jordan R. just nailed it! People with curls, thats the place you should check out if you have had the same issues with being desperate after every haircut. I love all the ways Habitude has put safety of its clients and staff upfront in their new operations rhythm. Explicit health screening and instructions upon entry, plexiglass barriers between chairs in the new distanced layout, and barriers between shampooing bowls help me feel safe while having one luxury in my life during pandemic.

Gina is amazing! I wanted to be brighter blonde the first time I went in and she asked all the right questions to get me where I wanted without damaging my hair. I will only ever use habitude for any services now. Aveda always delivers results and I love all of the people who have helped me here over the years. Ive used all habitude hair services to grow out my hair for 3 years. I only get facials here now too, because my skin always clears up and glows after. Its so beautiful that I dont wear makeup after and I dont even care about my old acne scars. I see Nikole and Kailey for my facials and I see Gia for my hair. All three of these women are amazing and youll be grateful to spend your time with them.

I went in Saturday for the first time and had Celeste as my stylist. I am new to the area and this was the first time in almost 20 years I had a new stylist. We all know how nerve wracking that can be. :) Celeste was very pleasant and did a good job, but, without trying to compare to my last stylist/style, it was not the cut I was looking for. Luckily it was a situation about it not being short enough rather than being too short and is a fixable situation (although even if it was too short, hair does grow). I called Sunday morning and she was able to see me that afternoon. We discussed more in depth what I was looking for and away she went. I have to say, I LOVE IT!! It is pretty much exactly what I wanted originally. Thank you for Habitude and Celeste for rectifying my problem. Im sure youll see me again!

Terrible service. Poor quality. Poor communication. Rather then adding a balayage color as specified they repeatedly died the entire head of hair the entirely the wrong color on 3 separate occasions (two of which were promises to resolve). Seriously never go here.

I was very excited about my appointment as I was referred by a friend and I just moved to the area. Overall, I did enjoy my experience and my stylist was kind and seemed enthusiastic and confident about my haircut and what she was going to do. However, she then ended up cutting my hair 3 inches shorter than we had agreed upon and ran out of time to style my hair, essentially telling me her next client was here and she couldn’t complete my service and we needed to wrap up. I was quite disappointed and let the receptionist know. She did provide me with a discount on my next service which I appreciated, but my high expectations for Habitude were not met.

Had an appointment here a couple weeks ago, and it was a great experience. It really shows the importance of the style and ambience of a salon for the overall experience. I just really liked the look and smell or the place. The interiors were really cute.Also, I recommend booking with Justina. I always love what she does with my hair, and I always leave an appointment with her feeling beautiful. Shes really great at connecting with her clients and trying to understand what is it that you really want done with your hair. She also shares some really good tips about hair maintenance.

I had gotten a very bad haircut at another Ballard salon and went to Ryan at Habitude for a fix-it haircut. She delivered that and more. I got an excellent cut and a great product recommendation. She really saved the day. The salon is lovely and I was really pleased with Ryan and the great staff. Friendly and responsive! Look forward to trying the spa services soon.

Most unprofessional salon I have been to. There was a shooting a Westlake downtown so traffic was extremely backed up. I called to say I was running late and the receptionist said it was no problem and to call if it was later than 10 minutes. After being in the car for over an hour I show up and the parking lot is full and I search for parking. When I walk in 12 minutes late, the receptionist tells me my appointment has been cancelled and I can have another appointment in an hour. I patiently ask if I can just have a cut and no style as this is really the only day that works for me. I have a young puppy and planned my evening around this appointment and cannot sit and wait an hour. She says she will ask the hairstylist Celeste if that can be arranged. She is gone for several minutes (wasting our appointment time longer) and comes back and said Celeste said no. (Guess she was having her dinner). I state that I wish someone had told me that on the phone as I was told being late was ok. She said she will go talk to Celeste again wasting more time. She comes back and said Celeste doesn’t feel like coming out now (very professional). To me an appointment time is an appointment time. I was willing to be flexible with the service itself and it should have been communicated to me on the phone that being late would result in a canceled appointment. Ironically, I went to this salon back in 2014 and had the same problem with my appointment being wrong in their schedule and asking me to come back another day. I wrote a yelp review then too. Don’t waste your time, haircuts are supposed to be relaxing, pleasant experiences. This was not and clearly this location is continuing to have problems with staff. Very unprofessional staff. Celeste, I will certainly not be recommending you or this salon to any friends or colleagues. Hope you enjoyed your dinner!

I had a great, relaxing massage.

I arrived to the spa and was not greeted by anyone. It was a little unclear what to do, so I just stood there like the passive-aggressive North Westerner that Ive become. Staff walked on by, so after a few minutes, I wandered over and helped my self to the water and dried cranberries.Luckily my masseuse, Jeff, came to find me and he was absolutely amazing. He showed me where to find the locker rooms and pointed out the spa that I could have spent time in, had I been checked in properly and shown around by the staff.Jeff is hands-down (bad pun intentional) the best masseuse Ive encountered in Seattle; and Ive tried about a dozen highly recommend places. He was outstanding enough to make up for the rest of my experience. My facial was amazing, as well.I finished up my massage/facial by hanging out in the sauna. Feeling super relaxed, I went into the locker room, full of zen blah blah and was happily pondering over how amazing I felt when one of the spa staff came into the locker room and started slamming the lockers open and closed, not carelessly, but with what I can only assume was real hatred for her job. Zen destroyed... maybe its not a great place to work?

Habitude is the best and I will miss going there. I moved far far away and I doubt I will find a place like it. I have gotten my haircut, massages, manicures, pedicures - yeah I think thats it. The place is beautiful. It is merchandised well. It smells good. Every service I have ever gotten there has been great. Pretty much all of the people I have interacted with have been courteous, professional and caring.

A friend and I spent a charming few hours at Habitude at the Locks getting a deluxe manicure. I was impressed by the perfection of the final look of my nails, no streaks, mistakes or hints that the color went on brushstroke by brushstroke. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, lots of wooden details, and hints from the natural world and Indian culture. Everything seemed exotic, from silk pillows to natural-fiber chairs, like on a summer deck. But surprisingly, our fun continued in the giant retail section downstairs! We had so much fun browsing through the bright colors and various textures of merchandise. Quite a pleasant afternoon, just a few blocks from gardens, the Locks and the old Totem House for gourmet burgers.

I got my hair done here for the first time this afternoon. I had it done by Jordan and she was lovely. I asked her about spiral curls and she was very honest saying that my hair was too long and probably wouldn’t hold anything like that. I appreciated that I didn’t walk out of there with an expensive, ugly mistake! I got my haircut and a copper gloss instead and it was just what I needed, a little different, clean and updated and overall quite a pretty look. Jordan was efficient and the haircut was quick but precise and professional.My only complaint was that I had to wait half an hour for my appointment. That’s really much too long and I should have been kept informed if that was to be the case.

Don’t need their “habitude.” Was running 15 min late due to a car accident and phoned to let them know. I arrived at 11:28 but their lot was blocked by construction trucks so I was forced to park and couple blocks away. I arrived at 11:34 and was told by the rude front desk staff that I would have to reschedule because it was after 11:30. She never checked with my stylist if it was an issue for her. I have curly hair so don’t get dried which easily saves time. I have also always had to wait at least 15 min every time I’ve had an appointment so their time is more valuable than mine? No thank you. They lost a customer who had their haircut, highlighted, purchased products and merchandise.

Kailey is really knowledgeable, reliable and professional, and does a great job. Other staff Ive seen also provide a great experience. Thats why I regularly visit this spa. You can count on having excellent services with people who are conscientious and warm.

Ive been going to habitude for over 8 years now. For most of that time I have had Arjuna as my massage therapist. She is absolutely amazing! It feels like every time she does a massage for me, she is doing her best. She has the right amount of pressure and the right everything, she is the best! Ive also had other practitioners who were great! Id recommend Habitude!

My stylist offered really helpful advice for problems Ive been having with my hair, and she tested out different products on my hair before we started, letting me see and feel the difference. To top off the great service, I love my cut! Habitude is definitely worth a visit!

Not the best spa but pretty good. Worth the money. Id prefer something a bit more high-end. Rooms werent sound proof. Very small sauna and locker room. Massage and facial were fine but I could do without the lecture about what I should come back and get worked on more and what products to use/buy.

Habitude At The Locks is a great place to treat yourself. I went in for a brow wax, cut, and color and left feeling pampered and refreshed. The spa upstairs is very relaxing and quiet while the salon downstairs is a hive of activity. I forget the persons name that did my brow wax put she did a fantastic job and I didnt leave looking red and puffy.Heather did my cut and color which turned out really well. The color was a little more red than I wanted but it really does look great and I have received numerous compliments on it. The cut was spot on and gave my hair a lot of body without losing too much length. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and I will be back.

Was able to walk in and get an appointment for the same day, which was great. This salon is a little on the pricier end, average $50 for a standard haircut no color, however it depends on the stylist. Staff was friendly but didnt seem overly concerned about customer retention. However, I was happy to get a same day appointment and was very happy with my haircut! All the stylists are trained and qualified.

Raven cut my hair today and did such a wonderful job! My first time writing a review for a haircut, that is how much I love my hair.I’m tough to please when it comes to my haircuts so it’s saying a lot. I have lots of hair and even more as I’m 6 months preggo and it looks really, really well blended and pretty. I would recommend her services to anyone. She has 20 years of experience and I think that counts for a lot. I’ve had plenty of good haircuts at Habitude over the last 10 years but really only 2 people have done stand out jobs, she’s one of them - the other moved on 5 years ago.

Ive been to Habitude for a variety of services over the last few years including hair cut, massage, and facial. Every time the service has been great - friendly and knowledgeable staff. The facilities are lovely as well. It combines the convenience of a neighbor hood salon with the pampering of a full-fledged spa. Its the perfect escape for a quick service or an afternoon of relaxation.

My friend and I go here every so often to get away and pamper ourselves. I love the calming environment at the spa, and they treat you very well. I usually go for massages, while my friend opts for facials. we feel rejuvenated every time, and usually stay for a while after to just soak it all in. the sitting area is nice and peaceful, and I honestly love the nuts and cranberries they serve with their tea. I go back all the time and know it will be consistent, great spa service and just what Im looking for.

I have used the salon and spa services at Habitude. While I did not have the best outcome getting the color that I wanted with my salon experience I will say that everything was handled very professionally.Absolutely love the spa! I have received both massage and facials and they have always been fantastic. Very relaxing environment! Great place to go if youre looking for that extra pampering!

My sister and I visited Habitude for the first time as a celebration of our birthdays. We had a truly awesome time....loved the atmosphere and all the comforts that went along with the spa. We both had a massage. We were able to pick out our own aromatherapy which suited our moods at the time. This was a wonderful. We each had an hour massage, but of course this was not long enough. However, we had scheduled additional pampering after our massages. My sister got a pedicure and I opted for a manicure. I have to say that it was the best manicure that I had ever gotten. My nails looked absolutely perfect. The manicurist was very personable and gave me some great tips on the care of my hands and nails. I can hardly wait to return. If you are looking for a serene, peaceful and relaxing spa to visit. Habitude is the place to go.

I took my bestie to Habitude for a birthday pedicure - we had the best time! Habitude has great ambience and it smells so wonderful. The staff is super friendly and we really enjoyed chatting it up with them. A very relaxing atmosphere that makes you never want to leave... And the wonderful herbal tea they serve is not to be missed.For just a little bit more $ than the smelly, chemical-laden nail salons, you can enjoy a little bit of spa heaven instead!

Ive been to Habitude on a few occasions. The services Ive received during my various visits include (hair cut, color, foil, pedicure) were all nice, and were all at the Ballard Locks location. I didnt find anything exceptional about them, which is why I rated 4 not 5 stars. But the staff was courteous and knowledgeable, and I was pleased with my results. I also like that they offer deals via sites like Groupon which can make it more affordable to pamper myself. I no longer live in the area or else might be a more frequent customer.

This salon has a fantastic array of staff. While receiving top notch service from my stylist, she took the time to get to know my hair habits, products, and what Id like to see change in them. She explained that my current products arent the best ones and, while telling me of the options in the salon to purchase (without pressure), she let me know the things I should look for in whatever product I choose to get next whether it was there or somewhere else. You can also choose your stylist based on price or schedule with their convenient online booking service. A feature that drew me, a girl on a budget. Also, the price includes tax. So if your stylist is $45/hr, you pay $45. A nice surprise. :-) I made my follow up appointment on the spot at this friendly, clean, professional teaching salon.

I love my new haircut! Kermit did an absolutely fabulous job! He understood exactly what I wanted, asked all the right questions when I gave a vague description of what I was looking for. Not only did he give me exactly the great haircut I hoped for, but he was so friendly and gave a killer head massage and wash. I will definitely be a new regular here with him!

Ive been going to Teresa for four years now, and have always been extremely satisfied with the results. Shes been helping me grow my hair back from a pixie cut and was able to make all the in-between awkward stages very stylish and edgy still. Shes a great conversationalist, personable and hilarious. I was a Habitude customer in March. I went in for a haircut and while there decided to get my eyebrows waxed as well. I appreciated the attention to detail by the aesthetician, as well as the ambience of the spa. I was offered a drink when I arrived and also enjoyed the snacks (dried fruit and nuts) that were set out. It was overall a very comfortable experience. I was not as pleased with my haircut. I have curly hair and expressed to the stylist that she should take that into consideration when determining the length. (Because it shortens when dry). The length was about what I wanted, when it was wet. So, after drying was considerably shorter and I was disappointed. It was still a nice cut, just not what I had described. I had told her I would be traveling for awhile, so maybe she thought shed make sure I didnt require salon services for awhile?? Overall, a visit to Habitude is an experience and a peaceful, enjoyable one.

I first went to Habitude for a company retreat. The staff are all friendly and truly make you feel at ease. The facility is clean and they offer many amenities. I got a full body message which incredibly relaxing. I also got one of their facials, which was refreshing. The staff is very knowledgeable and explain all of the different products to you. I will definitely be back!

I really enjoy this salon! The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the aveda tea selection you can sip on is delicious. Ive only had hair cuts and color here and I truly enjoyed the time and energy they put into making sure Im getting exactly what Im asking for. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that you cannot get out of that place in under 2 hrs and the prices are pretty high. Otherwise, if you have the time and money to use, it is a superb choice.

I always feel so zen when I go to Habitude. It feels warm and cozy; I love the scents and the decor. Ive had haircuts, massages and facials, and most of the providers are fabulous. Only a few have been sort of average, and they were still very pleasant. I always feel welcomed, and love that they figure out who I am as soon as Ive walked through the door, and then direct me to wherever I should be. Gift cards and Aveda products make great gift cards, too!

Ive been to Habitude for a massage, a hair cut/color and makeup application and an eyebrow waxing. Each one of my experiences was fantastic. Had an Ultimate Facial with Kailey yesterday. It was just wonderful, as usual. I had taken some time away but Kailey remembered me and was very thoughtful and kind. I left feeling like a wet noodle (a good thing). The staff at the desk seem a bit uninformed about their offerings, like how to set up a series, but they were nice enough.

From the cute shop area with lots of fun products to the cucumber water or smoothie you can drink while getting your services, its a luxurious experience. Ive had a manicure, pedicure, and brow wax which were all fabulous, and my haircuts there are the best Ive ever had. I highly recommend Habitude!

After shopping around salons for years, THIS is the one! Tara is an exceptional stylist - Ive never been happier with a cut (long, medium hair). Wonderful ambiance, welcoming staff, clean and beautiful vibe.

Its not upscale but the service was really good. I enjoyed my 60 minute facial and the time flew by. My skin looks great. The place has an earth mother vibe which you either love or dont.

I had a frustrating experience at Habitude (the Ballard location). I scheduled an Essential Massage, and when it came time to pay, the total was significantly more than I expected. I told the cashier that I just had an essential massage, and they informed me I had added extra services.My masseuse asked if I had tried CBD oil, and I said yes, and they asked if I wanted them to use that during the massage. I said sure. Then at another point they asked if I wanted a warm towel on my neck, and I said sure. These two things added a huge extra cost, which was never communicated to me. I wish they had been explicit about the extra cost in these offers. I told the cashier the added cost was not something I was told about, and they just shrugged. I’ve had many massages at Habitude, and this has never happened to me- I’ve never been tricked into an added service. In the past, if a service was offered with an added cost, I was shown a list with dollar amounts. This is the norm that was setup for additional services and fees.I would not have added those extra things if I had known they were additional services with extra costs. I left feeling frustrated and tricked, rather than relaxed. Tell your customers up front when adding costs.

I have been going to Habitude for years to get my eyebrows done and off and on for other services. Amanda does my eyebrows and she is very warm and inviting. I have had various people do my hair but have never left feeling unhappy. They all seem to dispense great hair advice from shape to color. I would recommend a morning appointment when it is calm and quiet.

I have been to the spa several times, first for the massage packages and more recently for the facials. LOVE them. I think that the ultimate facial is the best because you actually get a good massage with it AND the facial. I left feeling like rubber and it was wonderful to feel so relaxed. With three small kids at home that is not easy!

Chris really gives one of the best massages Ive ever had. Ill be back every 8 weeks to see him for sure!

Just went here to have a massage, body scrub and facial and it was divine. The massage was the best I have had in a very long time and the scrub and facial were wonderful too. Was able to rest in the sauna between appointments and enjoy some snacks and tea also. I would recommend this spa to my friends for sure.

I always have a lovely experience at Habitude, especially when going to see Kailey! She is so good at what she does, and I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.

My favorite salon in Seattle. I see Bess and Bex for cut and color and they always do an amazing job. They have a great little gift shop with amazing gifts along with Aveda haircare. The front desk staff are very warm and welcoming. I will return!

Great space, friendly, clean, light. I routinely get the most awesome haircuts from Keena. They look great on day one and still look great when I return 2+ months later for the next one.

Cierra did my manicure. She was knowledgeable, really interesting to chat with, and the manicure ended up being perfect. i had a great experience and recommend her highly. She made a really nice day great!

I love Habitude, and the fact that I live so close to a salon/spa is great. Ive had my hair cut here, and had a couple massages/facials. Never had a bad experience. All the staff treat you well and I never felt that they were product pushing (but I do love Aveda!). It definitely has this Northwest feel inside. They also have cheaper express facials which I would like to do, and is great because I cant afford to do a full facial/massage often. I would say definitely try to find street parking, their lot doesnt have many spaces and is a little tricky to get out if you try to pull in and all the spaces are full.
