3 years of being on the waiting list (May of 2018)... I finally broke down and cried to them on the phone about how bad my child needs services back in June... they gave me an appointment right then and there for today.... then called me this morning to tell me that there was a mistake in scheduling on their end and had to cancel our appointment and that the next available appointment was in 2 months.. I am disgusted with this place. In addition if you look at the other reviews... there is one where the family was only on the waiting list for 13 months... back in 2019... why were they able to get in before us? Their waiting list is a joke and the company is a joke.
Since finding out over a year ago that my son is Autistic, they have been really good about doing what they can to help us out. When things have gotten tough, they have done what they can to touch bases with us as soon as possible.
I was lost until we started the 12 week program. I had tried everything. Thank everyone at Seattle autism center.
My son is now 15 we’ve been waiting since he’s been five years old for a screening. Will be willing to change my review when my son is able to get a fair shot at a screening.
My experience with Seattle Autism Center has been very good overall. I have been taking my son there for ~ 7 years. They are kind, and understanding. The wait time is very long there, but that is to be expected for anything with autism related therapies.
Played phone tag with them for a few days because you dont get to talk to anyone but a voicemail for them to get back to you when they feel like it. Also they just stopped calling back altogether. So much for helping children who really need it.
These nurses are great at their job and I don’t want to say job because they really care about your child’s needs and they listen and help you understand your child’s needs, when my son was diagnosed they told me his actions before I could share my experience with them and I just cried because this is so new to me they helped me with classes and everything thank you ms Karen she is the best nurse for my son. The only back thing she just stay so booked out but when your great like her I guess that’s what happens, I drive a hour and half to see her.
PARENTS CURRENTLY WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT, call and make sure you are on the cancellation list. We were expecting an appointment sometime in September 2019(got on wait list August 2018 but they have a 13 month waitlist), but because I was on the cancellation list, a spot opened up in early June 2019. Get your child a referral and into Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Behavioral Therapy and whatever else they made need in the meantime. We waited a year for OT and ST as well. Be proactive and the wait really wont seem so bad in the long run.
My daughter has been a patient of several therapists and physicians at Seattle Childrens Autism Center for over five years. One therapist diligently worked to help her walk which she does now independently. The wait to be seen seemed long initially, but call often and ask for cancellations. Once we were seen, regular appointments are easy to set. Our city needs more centers like this one to meet the wealth of needs in our community.
Be patient people! It takes almost a year and a half to get your child diagnosed. There are long waiting list. They have helped me and my kids figure out what steps to take next. Until then I suggest you keep doing the best you can with your children. BE THERE. Start therapy asap. I know it can be frustrating, but nothing comes out from bashing the autism center online. They are doing their best to help us.
Not helpful at all, its more of baby sitting session than autism intervention very long hour of repeatative lectures and power point presentation class which is mostly consumed in questions/answers experience sharing very boring and the worst of all is recurrence of flu bugs among the student and teachers my son was infected with flu back to back for several weeks very disturbing when affected child and teachers are allowed to came to class and in the process passing infection to others. The centre need to review its policy on public health and commicable disease than just temperature check the centre need complete overhaul of training and safety manuals as its now I dont recommend anybody to waste their time there .
I dont think they actually have an autism center. I think it is a scam. Regardless, they wont make an appointment to evaluate my child. He has a previous diagnosis, about 300 pages of documentation from his school and a referral, but that isnt enough. They say he needs a diagnosis from them to make an appointment but they wont they wont make an appointment to evaluate him. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF EVIL BASTARDS.
Like to say thank you for David Eaton for his help and adviceAllen and his parents 😊
Scheduled an appointment without calling until the day of. Called everyday just to be sent to voicemail. Ive never talked to a human at this place.

I have not bad to say about their work with the Autism kids....but I do have a problem...the have a landscapeing company come to clean their parking lot and its sometimes before 7 am and some nights late as 12pm ..I live in the apartments on the side of it...its wakes up up ...some times I also hear the children crying but I know its not their fault...
Receiving calls claiming we have a referral with them but we do not.
