Im a psychiatrist here in Seattle and often need to refer patients to therapists in the area. Seattle Anxiety Specialists have been great partners for me in caring for my patients. All my patients who go there are very happy with their therapists and seem to benefit greatly from the care they receive. The therapists are communicative & collaborative with me. Their communications reflect a high degree of skill & compassion. They have a great ability to discern which patients would benefit from psychiatric assessment and anxiety medication on top of the invaluable psychotherapy they provide.Even though they focus on anxiety, they are excellent at diagnosing other mental health issues at well. They have an approach thats both evidence-based and patient-centered. They know how to treat the symptom, but they also see the big picture. I will gladly continue to work with them in the future and also refer my own patients to them.
I am a psychologist and owner of an anxiety/OCD-focused group practice with offices in Denver and Reno. Blake Thompson has been an enormous help to me. He is a treasure trove of advice on running a psychology practice and on helping clients. Ive really appreciated his calm, down-to-earth demeanor and his generosity in sharing his knowledge. Hes been great to work with, I cannot speak highly enough of him and the help hes given me. I would strongly recommend him to other colleagues seeking guidance and for people looking for help with anxiety.
I have known Jerome Veith for several years as a fellow psychotherapist and scholarly colleague. He has never failed to impress me with his rare combination of warmth, kindness, insight, and sensitivity to human things. We consult weekly about clients, and I always trust Jerome to help me sort through the difficult questions and concerns that inevitably arise in therapeutic work. If you are looking for an exceptionally educated, compassionate, and thoughtful listener, youve found one in Jerome.
In my experience, every therapist on the team is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, kind and welcoming. Also, the SAS offices are so thoughtfully designed and laid-out, creating a very peaceful, tranquil and clean environment, making you feel safe and relaxed in sessions.I would wholly recommend this place to any friends or family - theyre a truly wonderful group and their sincerity and absolute care of their clients is at the forefront of this practice.
Case was extremely insightful, and helped my family through some difficulties. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Avoid Sonya JendoubiSonya abruptly terminated our therapy about a month ago after six months of therapy when we were part way through a difficult issue for me. She basically just randomly decided she couldnt treat me anymore and ended our treatment at the beginning of the next session. The session before last, we were talking about ways to improve working together since I was having trouble with a particular issue. So, I was very surprised to have been terminated the next session.Even though Sonya recommended I go elsewhere, I was not given any referrals, but she did say she was here if I needed anything. However, my communications with her have been ignored after. I spent thousands of dollars here to be ditched suddenly and ignored after. Not really sure why, but now you can avoid my mistake.
I have had an amazing experience with Rachel Sofian. I was a little bit skeptical of the value of therapy after having subpar experiences. However, Rachel helped me changed my perception, through thoughtful dialogue and always helping you walking through your issues without judgement. I am her favorite client but you should also give her and this amazing place a try. They really helped me.
Blake is a very insightful mentor. Im a therapist in the process of building my practice. He helped me identify useful strategies and normalize my overwhelming feelings. His guidance is valuable. Id recommend him as a mentor and therapist.
Jim McDonnell’s guidance been been the catalyst that has helped me unravel the root causes of my challenges and discover a more pleasant and meaningful life path.He has the unique ability to listen without judgement and pinpoint obstacles that have repeatedly caused issues with me related to anxiety and healthy relationships. His gentle demeanor and suggestions have been a game changer for my mental health, how I relate to others and, importantly, my own self care. His gift is his insight, guidance and caring presence. In turn, I’ve opened up a new lease on life with some simple work on my part.Bottom line: Jim’s a guy you want in your corner.
I highly recommend Liz Silvestrini. I worked with her for about 6 months and she created a safe, supportive and non judgmental space for me to heal and work through issues associated with years of high-risk, high-velocity and challenging workloads in the tech industry. I now feel like the peak version of myself at work!
While I am not a client, I worked professionally alongside Liz Silvestrini and highly recommend her as a therapist for anyone in need. I found Liz to be very professional, to have a calm and comforting demeanor, and believe that she is a great listener. I, personally, always found her very easy to talk to. I also know that she offers evening and weekend hours in her therapy office to accommodate clients with busy work schedules. If you are looking for a convenient location, a flexible schedule, and a talented and thoughtful therapist then I recommend you try a session with Liz!
Rachael Sofian is a thoughtful and dedicated therapist. I worked with Rachael in the same office for 3.5 years. Rachael is committed to all clients, develops creative interventions, and provides a safe and supportive space for all individuals they encounter.I would, without a doubt, recommend Rachael to anyone who is seeking support.
Working with Jim McDonnell has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. He provides to me the opportunity to open up about my thoughts and feelings (which I readily admit in the beginning I did not enjoy) regarding anxiety and relationships without any judgement. After a session with Jim, I often no longer feel like I am alone or that I am dealing with an issue by myself.Jim has helped me discover minor and major breakthroughs that have helped me feel more comfortable in this world and that has allowed me to feel like I fit in again instead of feeling like an outsider. If you have an inclination that you might need to speak with someone, do it with Jim McDonnell.
Jennie Ketcham Crooks did a great job helping me overcome anxiety attacks / claustrophobia that was causing me significant problems affecting my ability to travel (especially air travel). She was also a huge help getting me unstuck regarding long term job & school decision making. Highly recommended.
Jennie has brought me back to myself and helped me grow even further after some pretty rough times with panic attacks and depression. I was never pressured into trying a technique I didnt want to do, yet grew into strength to overcome obstacles I didnt even know were there. I credit all of my current happiness, of which there is a ton of now, to her guidance and love. I recommend her to everyone, especially those I know are dealing with similar anxiety issues. Put yourself first and go see her. It will be worth it!
Blake and I have been working together for about a year and a half now. The longest I’ve ever maintained a relationship with a therapist, with good reason. He has consistently been able to match modalities with exactly what I’ve needed every single session. With intelligence, grace, and sensitivity. I’m truly grateful to have found him, and highly recommended him to anyone with anxiety issues.
Rachael Sofian is warm, welcoming, and respectful. They provide clinically sound therapy with artistic interventions. I highly recommend Rachael!
Jennie is such a high quality therapist. A little hood in all the right areas. But seriously she is the best. Also judgment free. I have never felt so comfortable with someone.
Blakes welcoming and soothing presence makes you feel at ease even if you just met. Profound and articulate, he is one clinician I am happy to know and recommend to anybody seeking help calming an anxious mind, or just trying to find a safe space in which to engage in mindful exploration.
I suffered from debilitating social anxiety disorder, and Blake has been my chosen clinician for years. He helped me create a safe space from which I healed deeply repressed emotions at the root of my anxiety. As a result, Im able to move forward. His work is thorough, compassionate and hes genuine, authentic and conscientious.Im finally looking to the future, and Im learning to be okay with who I am. I feel so much better.I would recommend Blake to anyone whos ready to commit to bettering themselves, or to anyone who is prepared to stop feeling anxious, hopeless and depressed.
I was a lyft driver for Blake and to be honest of the 20 minutes I was with him I had the most comfortable conversation with him. I have family issues with my parents and its been like that for awhile and I dont like talking about it and hes one of those people that is very comfortable and genuinely nice to talk to.

Jerome brings a sensitivity to his work that allows one to feel comfortable sharing the parts of ourselves that are often the most difficult to unfold. He cares deeply for his Clients and it shows in the way he walks with them through their struggles and accomplishments.
