I love this place! Trent was my first real barber and Ive been going to him for 3 years. I used to go to Great Clips and they made my hair kind of weird so I decided to pay a little more, go somewhere nicer, and get a better cut. I remember meeting Trent and saying, Just do what you think would look nice. and he fixed my hair. Ever since then, Im gonna stick with Old Habits for as long as I can.In general though, they do really good fades here and the decor is awesome!

Old Habits is filled with very talented barbers who take their jobs seriously. Their customers are loyal and follow them from location to location. The space has a modern, industrial, quirky style that’s filled with plants and great music. You might even grab yourself a drink from the cooler while you wait. I drive to SODO from downtown Seattle because my haircut is consistently worth it. Just make sure to book your appointment ahead of time because the barbers here tend to be very popular—I book my appointments in bulk for several months at a time. Trust me, you’ll love it here.

Ive been getting my hair cut by Trent for years--all the way back to when he was at Scotch Pine in Queen Anne. Followed him to the Cap Hill location, and now to his own shop. Ive gotten the same haircut the entire time and without fail I still get complimented on it every time--even by people whove known me that whole time.A good barber you can trust is worth it. Trent is that guy. I drive all the way from Edmonds--its that worth it.Emily has joined the shop now too (from Scotch Pine). I have all the same good things to say about her!

Cool guy. Good at his craft. Was just disappointed that I cant find a barber in seattle that has a number 8 clippers guard. But over all the owner here is really a great barber. You definitely wont be disappointed if you get your haircut there

Went in on a recommendation from a friend. The shop is tastefully designed and pleasant to be inside. Trent did a great job with my haircut and was able to create exactly what I wanted with based on a picture. He did a good job adapting to my hair type and ensuring that I would look good days after the haircut as well as when I walked out. Great conversation as well. I will be back!

Trent is an awesome person who is passionate about giving the highest quality cuts! The first time I tried them out, last year, my girlfriend said it was the best haircut shes seen. Old Habits Barbershop has everything I want in a neighborhood shop, and specifically in mens grooming. Trent and Lindsey have done an incredible job creating a beautiful and inviting space that is well maintained. I was looking for a Barbershop while being cooped up during Covid. Booked my appointment as soon as I could with Lindsey and Im so happy I did. I was going for a new look and Lindsey came through big time, best haircut to date by far. Just wish they allowed beard trimming but not until Phase 3 or 4? For over several years Branden has been my barber in Portland. His move to Old Habits in Seattle is great news for those there, and means Im the one looking for a new Barber.I can say unequivocally that Id recommend Branden to anybody. He always took the time to listen carefully to what I wanted and quickly filled in the blanks to give me a great cut. On top of that, hes friendly and a good conversationalist.

I drifted from shop to shop and from various stylists & barbers for many many years (through all my 20s and early 30s). I never experienced a haircut SO good that I didnt want to even consider going anywhere else until I found Ali at Old Habits Barbershop. She is truly talented and in a class of its own. Old Habits is my go-to shop! All of the barbers are great. I followed Trent and Lindsey here from their old shop— Easily two of the best in all Seattle. The vibe is great, the shop looks and feels like the comfortable neighborhood shop where everyone knows your name.

50 dollars for a mens cut is outrageous and it honestly just pisses me off. It takes 20 minutes, maximum, to cut my hair. I will continue to publicly shame any shop that tries this. There seem to be more and more of them every time I look.

Not only is Old Habits my go-to for a haircut (barbershop dogs, beers in the fridge, good music, and strange conversations), but Ive been a client of Alys since she was at Acme a few years back. I go in looking ugly, I come out amazing. Shes the very best. Highly recommend.

I first started going to Trent several years ago, back before he opened Old Habits. Even though his shop is further away from me now, I’m always eager to make the trip—he is an amazing barber! I’ve gotten so many post-haircut compliments, and as someone who goes several months between cuts and is prone to entering barbershops with an overgrown, curly mop, I particularly like how he manages to get my hair to continue to hold its shape over time. Plus—he’s a great dude to talk with, he has hot towels (ahhh), and his eye for design has resulted in a very cool shop. While I’ve exclusively gone to Trent for the past few years, I know he takes great pride in his craft, and I am sure that the other folks at Old Habits are also fantastic. Highly recommend!

Awesome barbershop at the old rainier brewery. I’ve been getting cut by Trent for a while now and it’s always top notch. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, good music, and a cold beer while the folks here fix you up.

This is a super classy joint started by some very talented barbers. Make an appointment on their website and get there about five minutes early. Parking can be a challenge sometimes, but not always. Walk in, ask for a beer, kick back, and be patient until they get you in the chair. I personally trust few other barbers with my beard and that is why I continue to return to this great shop. The straight razor on the back of the neck at the end of a beard cut is as close to a spa treatment as this Pacific Northwest bearded weirdo gets. This place isnt cash only anymore, but I know cash is appreciated.

Over the years, I’ve visited lots of high rated barbershops. While they’ve all had good stylists, some shops had their music overly loud, some kept making you wait despite an appt, and some just had the wrong attitude. Well, none of that at Old Habits!Trent is my barber and this is a skillful and passionate one. He and Lindsey run a great business.Their techniques, dedications and level of professionalism is simply on point.I really like the vibes there. I think it’s suited for anyone. Easy free parking and remote location are add ons bonuses.

Feels like a shop out of a different time, in the best possible way. The barbers here are true artisans, offering old-school cuts, shaves, and beard trimming. The shop is a little out of the way, in the iconic Old Rainier Brewery building, but walking distance from SODO light rail station and well worth the trip. Come grab a beer, relax, and enjoy a fantastic cut. Just be warned: people will be asking you where you get your hair cut all week.
