Annie is simply fantastic! Not only is she a joy to talk to and hang out with, she does excellent cut and coloring. The gorgeous indigo purple she put in my hair over a month ago still looks bright and beautiful! The cut is exactly what I asked for and looks great, she knew just what to do for my hair type. Treat yourself to a very professional and relaxing massage by Joe too, my back has some serious issues and I felt better for 3+ days after his healing hands. These folks are well worth the drive from West Seattle for their amazing services!!

Annie used to do my hair about 10 years ago back when I lived in Seattle and I recently visited her in her shop Annie Firefly last week to get my naturally curly hair cut, colored an ombre red/burgundy/plum, and Brazilian blowout and I am beyond impressed as are my friends, family and colleagues. I live in California but literally will now fly to Seattle to get my hair done by Annie every single time because she is that good and I do not want anybody else touching my hair at this point. I am quite particular because of my natural curly tresses and have had several poor and also mediocre experiences (especially with white people doing my hair) but Annie has never had any problems working with my hair texture or curls at all and actually is hands down the best hair stylist and colorist that I have ever had. I know she does all types of hair, all genders, all cuts and styles and I can not think of a color or style that she can not pull off. Because of my professional job, I was looking for something unique yet subtle and still professional and Annie nailed it like she always has before. She got exactly what I was going for and I have gotten so many compliments about my hair ever since she did it. My hair is still healthy and soft and she helped me pick out some products for home to help me maintain this new color that she had in the shop which also have worked very well for me and were actually very affordable given the fact that I bought a big bottle of sulfate-free shampoo, conditioner, leave-in-conditioner, and a curl moisturizer all for $100 that will last me quite a while.The location is small and quaint although very clean and minimalistic with lots of plants and artwork. It is relaxing and comfortable and I am a big woman so this matters! The location is super easy to get to and she has ample parking in the front. She was on time to the appointment and was so thorough and made sure I was comfortable the entire time and continued to gauge my opinion throughout the process such as making sure we were on the same page in terms of color before she began including providing swatches and mixing colors and showing them to me on white cards and even made sure I liked the color on a smaller portion of my hair before completing my entire head. Her prices are more than fair given the extreme level of color mastery and skill that Annie has.To top this all off, Annie is an extremely kind, upfront, honest, and hilarious person and I really enjoyed spending time with her in her salon as it felt just like catching up with an old friend. She is very loyal to her clients and she is flexible with timing as I was able to call a week early and move my appointment up an hour without any hesitation due to a change in my schedule.There is a small room in the studio dedicated to massage as well that I didnt check out but plan on doing so next time as it looked very relaxing and I cant think of a better pamper day than a massage and a good wash/color/cut/blowout. Overall, I have already contacted Annie for my next appointment for a color re-touch and am excited to come back! I hope this review helps other people find Annie because she is likely what you need in your life.

Annie has been one of the best hairstylists I have gone to especially with hair coloring. I was told many times by other hairstylists that my black hair could not achieve a lighter color such as a pastel pink or purple. However, Annie was able to do this and my hair looks amazing (It is also still very strong/healthy). Annie really listens to what you want and works with you on creating a look that best suits you. Plus, she recommends high quality products that have been very good for my hair. Highly recommend visiting her for all of your hair styling needs!

Annie has been coloring my hair all the crazy shades of green I could ever have imagined. Seriously though, I love working with her because she listens very well to what I want and is up for mixing and testing colors until we find that perfect shade for this visit. That and we always have a good chat and a few chuckles- easy going, truly listens to what you, and I love the new location with her own salon space so it feels like I am hanging out with a friend, not processed through a series of stations sandwiched between other folks. In case you can’t tel, I like Annie and the work she does is worth traveling to even now I live further away- wouldn’t trust anyone else with my color work!

Annie is great! Super nice and does spectacular tinseling to make you sparkle. We found her by accident, and have since been back...and Im going to schedule another appointment for myself. My daughter, and my mom got the tinseling for their birthdays! It was great fun!

Annie is the only person I have gone to for years. Shes easy-going and great at hair. Ive had hairdressers in the past who always cut my hair too short but Annie listens carefully and seems to genuinely enjoy what she does! Highly recommended!

Annie is the best. I’ve struggled in the past trying to find someone I want to return to for a haircut. Have been nothing but stoked on my cuts from Annie, have had her cut my hair at least 4 times and intend to go back. I have cowlicks all over my head, usually hairdressers struggle and I come out look like I stuck my head in a blender, Annie cuts my hair so I look great day of and it grows out really well. Would give 6/5 stars if I could.

I hate getting my hair cut. Its the worst.Yet, for some reason, I look forward to going to visit Annie!
