These guys are the pinnacle of professionalism. Despite bringing my old Outback in multiple times and always operating on a tight budget, theyve managed to help me out time and time again. The price is really good considering the peace of mind offered by working with them. Highly recommend if you have a Subaru in Seattle.
I cant say enough good things about Gregs Japanese Auto in Seattle. They are professional, have competitive prices, and honest service.Sean is amazing and really went above and beyond to help me with my catalytic converter security shield issue. Because of him I can sleep soundly and no longer worry about CAT thieves. Thank you!!!
I brought in a car that had been sitting for a year. From the get go I felt as though they were not fully paying attention to my questions and/or didnt want to take the time to walk through a two page quote with me (noting I had over 3K in repairs completed and 4K quoted so it was not a small job). This was a car for my 16 year old son (first time driver). I am a single mom who knows NOTHING about cars so I needed help understanding what needed to be fixed, what could wait etc. Upon pick up (after paying) the first response I got when I asked the urgency on the final two repairs was simply an I dont know. I pushed the representative to give me more information (noting: this company promises a 1-10 repair rating on the back of each of their quotes). At that time, I got an answer but I had to push for it-he didnt seem as though he wanted to take the extra 45 seconds to tell me. Additionally, during the quote/repair phase my call back promises were not met (when I first received the quote I was told I would be called back in 2 hours..I had to call back the next day because no one called me). I will see how the car drives and potentially update the review based on quality of work...but based on common courtesy and human to human caring-I rate it as mediocre.
Fantastic customer service! Car in great shape
I had a good experience with Gregs fixing an issue for my Honda Civic and would take my car here again in the future. Fairly quick turnaround and reasonably priced.
This shop is solid! Very convenient location for inner city folks. The staff here was very straight forward, and willing to explain the issues--great customer service and communication. They seem honest and prices are reasonable. Ill be coming here as my main shop with my Subaru Forester.
The team at Greg’s Auto is always professional and helpful. Martin and Sean thoroughly explain the repairs needed and why. They also take the time to explain what’s more immediate and what can wait. The team has always taken to account any of my concerns and are honest when there is any issue or they run into any problems. The service is timely and they go above and beyond to accommodate your needs.
This place gave me honest and useful feedback during a pre-purchase inspection. They went above and beyond.
They secialize in working on Japanese cars (others as well). And do great work
Great team, very communicative and knowledgeable. They fixed all my transmission problems 👍🏼
Payed for a pre purchase inspection. The tech missed that the vehicles reverse lights and fog lights were not working, improperly diagnosed a rattle as bearing noise when it was just something in the trunk, they never got back to me for a requested estimate for some work that turned up in the inspection, and they signed me up for a rewards program without my permission and have sent me multiple texts. 2 stars because even if he didnt get back to me the receptionist was friendly enough, and I dont feel like they were actively trying to rip me off, Just not very professional all around, and signing me up for a rewards program without talking to me about it is super sus, probably trying to hit a quota or something.
My battery died and had to be jump-started every time I needed to drive, so I took my car in for them to replace my battery. Not only did they charge for the battery/alternator inspection ($65, and almost all other shops offer that 5-minute service for free), they also charged that on top of the parts and labor for replacing my battery. They also told me I needed a new alternator for my 2015 Honda, which is in good shape. They tried convincing me that the faulty alternator was affecting my battery life, and that it would be around $1,500 for parts and labor. I went to two other shops to get a second opinion, both of which tested my alternator for free, and they both told me my alternator has no problems and is running just fine.I will not be coming back to Greg’s, and I’ve warned my friends and family to avoid coming here. They recommend unnecessary services and are completely overpriced.
Great service! They went above and beyond to get our vehicle in working order. A bit expensive but worth the lack of trouble.
Everyone is very COVID safe. Another shop wanted to replace my relatively new battery for $400. I came here to make sure it was actually busted, and they replaced it for free because they noticed it was still covered by the warranty. So glad I came here instead of trusting the other sketchy shop!
Great, reliable service. I trust the teams advice on the amount of service. I dont have to worry that theyll overcharge for unneeded items.
Great service...quick to respond on making an appointment for a brake inspection. All went smoothly for regular brake job and price reasonable. Definitely will bring my car in again for future work.
Very friendly and helpful staff
I had an emergency where my LS430 alternator died late at night. I left a message to see if I could get an appointment in the following day, and they called me back saying that they were fully booked, but that I could bring in my car anyways and they would take a look! They diagnosed everything and fixed it within a day. Definitely a nice experience considering my interactions with other auto repair places.Great service.Great flexibility.Great care
This car shop is exceptional. Everything you need was here at a very affordable price.
I purchased a Cat Security shield to protect my catalytic convertor from theft (Prii are a huge target due to the comparatively high amounts of palladium in hybrids). Called Gregs to make an appointment to have the shield installed and they quoted me a reasonable price. The shield was installed an hour after I dropped it off! Beware thieves~~Very friendly service. The business seems to be taking COVID precautions seriously as well.
Long story short: my sister and I were buying our first car and got completely scammed. Trevor kept us in the loop about issues with the car as they came up, and even called the previous owner for us to advocate for our money back. Cannot recommend Greg’s Japanese Auto enough, especially for drivers who have never owned a car before. Trevor is honest and hardworking and you will NOT be disappointed.
Excellent quality work, but more than anything else, they are honest. No games, no unneeded repairs. It is a treasure to find an auto repair place you can really trust. So happy to have found Greg’s.
Look, it takes a huge amount for me to rate a place one star, and I promise I kept looking for a reason to give it two, but this Gregs was pretty awful to us.We came in because wed spent a month and a half trying to diagnose power issues with our car, because the battery kept dying despite us having replaced it and other parts ourselves. Wed called Gregs previously to see how much it would be to replace our alternator if we had bought a new alternator. This objectively was the best thing I can say about Gregs - if you act like you know exactly what you want from them, its cheap: they quoted me $105 to replace it, which $105/hr for car labor is cheap for the area.Fast forward to two days ago.We come in at our wits and ask them to diagnose exactly what could be wrong with our vehicle. The guy at the counter didnt really want to hear our theories and mostly didnt acknowledge my wife, but I initially assumed this was because he was more focused on his job than on customer service, which I can respect from working in IT. I was wrong. The first thing they do is charge me $70 for an electric charge test. Listen, if anyone changes you over $20 for a test like that, walk the hell away. AutoZone will do it for free. I should have but I thought maybe it was the price for entry of good service. I paid it and went home to wait for results. They called 30 minutes later and said the alternator was testing at 13.7 volts and needed to be replaced. On top of that, the alternator would cost $270 and the labor would be around $200. They also wanted to replace the drive belt, which was oily and cracked for a little over $30, but they wouldnt charge for labor on it.A few things:Wed replaced the drive belt entirely in the last two months, and Id looked at it - it was sparkly new.The most you can buy an alternator for in the area is new from the Toyota dealership for $240.The labor suddenly cost $200 instead of $105, and Im pretty sure it was the they dont know anything about cars upcharge.13.7 is just barely a little bad for alternator voltage, and multiple people had previously told us it was testing fine.We go in and politely say that well be taking our car back and handling it elsewhere, as we found a shop that would do it for $200 cheaper for a OEM alternator, because the price Gregs had quoted was exorbitant. Suddenly the same guy that barely acknowledged my wife is the nicest guy in the world, trying to form personal bonds with us. On top of it, suddenly our labor is $140 cheaper because were about to leave. This story ends when we take the car to the other mechanic, who, when we tell him whats been going wrong, asks why the hell do you think its the alternator then? The alternator tests everywhere but Gregs at a sparkly new 14.2 volts.I dont want to blame anyone specific at Gregs, its a chain after all, theyre probably doing exactly what theyve been taught to do in the auto industry. But damn, I wish it wasnt so hard to a find a mechanic thats not ready to screw you over if you dont know exactly what youre doing.TL;DR: If you go with specific labor in mind, its currently $105/hr. If you go not knowing whats wrong, at least electrically but who knows with what else, they will screw you.UPDATE: The other mechanic I went to deduced after almost no time that our new car radio had a bad fuse that was sapping power and charged us $120 for the diagnostic labor, even though he could have just replaced our alternator for $360, since that was our last recourse when we came to him. Our car works fine now. Thanks again Gregs for trying to charge me $500 to replace a working part.
Very helpful and affordable. Love these guys!
Martin at Gregs Japanese Auto is THE BEST person to know...& Gregs is most fabulous at working on my 08 Mazda3
Had a great experience! They fixed my braking issue within a day and were knowledgeable about everything. Trevor in particular was pleasure to work with.
Gregs is awesome! I went in with an alternator issue that turned out being more severe than I had expected/budgeted for. The team (in particular Trevor!) were incredibly helpful and found a way to make it work within that constraint and still did a great and timely repair. Im incredibly grateful to Trevor and everyone here for helping me out in a bind and will recommend them 1000 times over.
Trevor is really nice to work with. Very clear and honest. Plus saved me money twice by recommending to purchase some parts on my own to save money. Checked out some things for me a no cost. Def trust them there
The gentlemen working here took my car in last minute and got me out of there within a few hours. Great customer service and very respectful. Hands down the best spot to get your car checked out and fixed up. Thanks guys!
Fantastic service, kept in the loop during repairs.Top Notch.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!THANKS GUYS!!!
Absolutely love this place. We have used them to service three vehicles,,. A Kia and two Hondas. Excellent quality work, but more than anything else, they are honest. No games, no unneeded repairs. It is a treasure to find an auto repair place you can really trust. So happy to have found Greg’s.
This company is honest and knows their stuff. After 2 shops diagnosed my car to need around $1500.00 to $2000.00 worth of repairs, I couldnt afford those repairs and decided to wait. Then came across Gregs told them what the other shops said and they had my car running perfect the next day for literally half the cost and a totally different diagnosis. I waited to write this review to see if the problem came back, its been 3 weeks and my car still runs perfect. These guys are awesome!
Great customer service. Very helpful professionals that were able to work on my imported Japanese vehicle. They kept my vintage car safe and performed the work efficiently. Highly recommend!
New to the area and stopped in to get oil changed and breaks checked. They could have easily told me I NEED my break pads changed but instead were 100% transparent with me and told me I can still wait on getting them changed for a little while longer.
I had a super positive experience with Gregs Japanese Auto. I attempted to make an oil change appointment online for two days out, right before I had to make a drive out to Eastern Washington. I got a call back saying they had no appointments available for the rest of the week, but to come back the following week. I told them, I have to drive out to E. WA, and Im about 1,000 miles overdue for an oil change but as long as my car doesnt blow up I can come in next week. When they heard that my car was overdue, they told me to drop it off the next day and they would find time to work on it in between other appointments. I was very impressed that they made sure I could make the drive safely even though that was the first time I made an appointment with them. Highly recommend.
I have been bringing my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse to the downtown Gregs for many years. The guys at Gregs are so helpful about telling me what needs to be done to maintain an older, mostly garaged car. I trust them to communicate in terms I can understand without talking down to me! I like the convenience of the downtown location so I can drop it off on the way to work and pick it up after.
I used to do all of my own work on my Subaru before moving to a small apt in downtown Seattle. I can’t say how satisfied and impressed I am with Greg’s auto. Trevor was my capable point of contact. Correct quotes were given that were, to the *penny*, accurate in the final bill. Excellent quality parts (i.e. Subaru OEM, Akebono, Denso, etc) were sold at fair prices. The are not putting much markup on really good quality parts; which is super refreshing. Shop time is clearly stated and fair. They finished multiple repairs on the vehicle on time and at stated cost. I’m very pleased and will absolutely return when more work is needed. Highly recommended.
This place is amazing! Theyve always been able to accommodate me with no notice and they do a fantastic job. Last time I had my car in to fix a problem with my door lock, they also went the extra mile and fixed an electrical problem I didnt even know I had, at NO extra charge!I highly recommend this place. They do a better job and are much friendlier and cheaper then going to the stealership!
I got a flat on the freeway at about 4:50am the other morning. I was lucky enough to be able to pull off to Gregs and leave my car there until they opened. The guys at Gregs were so kind to me and helped me get my spare on with ease. I am so so grateful for the supportive and kind nature of the employees at Gregs Japanese Auto. Thanks a billion.
Ive known about Gregs for ages, but only went recently for the first time. A great experience! Courteous, fair, and obviously knowledgeable about Japanese cars. The downtown parking is not so great -- but thats hardly their fault. Gregs is now the go-to place for our two Hondas. Thanks!
Ive gone here or their other locations for about 7 years. I trust them. The place is so clean you could eat off the floors. They are not the $15 oil change, but still on the less expensive side. More than once. Ive been ready to pay 3x as much as they charged as I dont know much. I had a light on that told me I was going to need a new Catalytic Converter and they told me it was just a loose gas cap. In my star rating system, 5 is perfection and nearly impossible to get.
My parents have been taking their Lexus and Nissan cars to Gregs for years. When I moved out of my house 8 years ago I continued to come back to Gregs because of their great service and their tracking of all my car needs. Whenever I drop my car off to get serviced I feel like Im leaving the car in great hands that arent trying to scam me with unnecessary replacements or procedures.
My oil light was on, I changed my oil and I was very worried to drive my car because the oil level light was still on. I went in and Martin took a look at my car to make sure it wasn’t my oil pump giving me an issue ...cause that would be a disaster. He noticed my brake light was out while looking at my car and replaced it. Ensured me that my oil pump appeared to be working and gave me a referral to a shop that works on auto electrical systems. Thank you for the care you gave me today!
I couldnt drive my car for a couple of months because I was stuck out of town due to lockdown. It wouldnt start, and jumpstarting didnt work either. I called Gregs and Martin was very patient, and figured out the problem over the phone, saving me a lot of trouble, and a tow trip. Highly recommend!!!
These guys are great! They helped troubleshoot a non-obvious gremlin in my car that prevented it from starting whatsoever. When I originally called, they provided a recommendation of an honest tow company and reassured me with down to earth possibilities with what could be wrong with the limited information I was able to provide them. They were able to root cause the issue to bad/contaminated gasoline, which was confirmed several days later by the gas station owner. Received regular updates during the repair and a detailed invoice at the end, which was less than the ball park, verbal estimate. Loaner cars are available, but I did not need one at the time. I highly recommend these guys. They were able to get me back on the road in a reasonable amount of time; plus, from their overall professionalism, I have high confidence in their work. Its hard to find a decent mechanic who will give you the time for an actual fix versus sending you to a car dealership as instead only wanting your maintenance business.
Professional, if you have a problem they can fix it. If youre a woman I would go with a man because you probably will pay more for repairs. I made the appointment for my girlfriend after a few repairs were quoted at a higher rate. Overall I recommend.
I immensely appreciate Martin`s assistance from the moment I called his shop to inquire about repairing my Honda CRV broken door to the day I walked into their shop with my car with the hope of getting the door fixed. Martin has been absolutely wonderful, he gave me frequent updates on the status of my car and was very honest in letting me know the cost of the parts needed to fix the door. He provided me with a ride home when I have to leave my car at the shop and made sure someone at the shop could pick me up at my work place after work to get to the auto shop to get my car back. I was very pleased the mechanics were able to repair my broken door and change my batteries. I am especially thankful to Martin for being so kind, understanding and generous with his time and effort to provide me with the best quality and personalized care I ever received, especially for changing my key battery at no extra charge and more importantly for going above and beyond to come on a Saturday morning to check/ fix my car audio and change the fuse, all this at no extra cost. Martin and his wonderful team are exceptional and authentic, they are the most trustworthy auto experts and I am glad I found them and recommend them highly to those who are looking for honest mechanics!!! Thank you Greg`s Japanese Auto in Seattle for the excellent customer service and care!
Their integrity, expertise and customer focus is beyond compare! We say this after having 12 years experience with all our Japanese cars serviced by Greg’s Japanese auto. Special kudos to Martin, their service advisor in the Seattle store for is many services an expert guidance. Michael and JoAnne
Super nice guys. My check engine light went on on my way to work. Stopped in and Steve ran a quick diagnostics. Nothing that needed fixed immediately. All was ok, no charge. I will be back when I need my car serviced for sure!! And highly recommend this place.
Phenomenal service!! Came here because of their raving reviews.. needless to say they did not disappoint. I would give them a 10 star review if I could! I’ve always taken my Lexus to the dealership for service but have now found my go-to auto shop. Thank you Greg’s for your outstanding customer service and for taking great care of my Lexus!
Ive been going to Gregs for years and they always take amazing care of my 90s Honda. I dont go to anyone else. The guys at Gregs are friendly, quick to communicate, and never push any service or upgrade on me that I dont ask for. Professional job every time and easy drop-off/pick-up.
The guys at Gregs always treat me great they keep me updated with the work that needs to be done as well as the work that can wait. I appreciate there attention to detail and am thankful they care that everything doesnt have to be done all right away.
I am glad to share I had a very positive experience with Greg’s. A few weeks ago I had to take my car in to realign my tires and also have some other issues checked out. The staff was very efficient and prompt in getting back to me. I had to leave town for a week — the following day, so I was allowed to leave my car for a while while they finished up working on it! It was a perfect solution, because otherwise I would have had to pay for my car to park somewhere instead. (Great idea, Larry!)When I drove off the lot, my hubcap fell off; the company gave me a new one! Very grateful to the promptness, friendliness and efficiency of the staff at Greg’s! Thank you! I will definitely be returning for my routine oil changes and maintenance!
Great customer service each time Ive gone there, even if I had bad news to face
Martin will keep you on the road!
Martin diagnosed and fixed my headlight problem in no time at all. Thank you!
The first time I took my car there (20+ years ago) I was having ignition trouble and expected major work: they discovered a loose connection and fixed it in about five minutes. So, a keeper, right? They are always nice, they explain things, and their system for quoting costs is efficient and clear. Also the operation is big enough to keep a lot of parts in stock, and if you need to leave your car at the downtown location and go to work they can usually give you a ride.
Gregs has kept my Nissan Frontier purring for years. They are fair, reliable and trustworthy, and every time I take my truck in for servicing, they always go the extra mile to make it easy for me. I have recommended them to friends and family.
This is for the Stewart St. shop. Scheduling was a breeze, they understood my needs for safety service preparatory to a November trip over the mountains that were already getting snow. Result: no problems! Car purred like a kitten!
The customer service here is incredible. I was having some trouble starting my car so I gave them a call. Trevor was so kind to FaceTime me to help me jumpstart my car properly. All the guys Ive encountered at the shop have been patient and helpful, and have tried their best to explain the testing/services as they were performing them. They changed my battery quickly, driving to the dealership to pick up the correct replacement battery immediately after figuring out the issue. Will return in the future for any car maintenance that needs to be done.
Took my Subaru Forester for 90k service. Mechanics are very knowledgeable, friendly and speedy. Will def come back in the future.
Ive been servicing two Lexus cars for about 12 years at the downtown/Stewart St location. Ive come to know and trust the personnel. The managers, formerly Larry, now Martin, have always given me good advise and keep me coming back.
Staff are friendly. They do the right job. However they arent prompt with time. Also the fact that they dont open on Saturdays and Sundays is a huge inconvenience.
Called in at the last minute, and Martin worked me into their schedule. I got great communication and customer service during my time, and my repairs came in at a very good price! I will be back there the next time my car needs work.
When I bought my 1999 used Camry around 2002 I started taking it to Gregs and was very happy so kept taking it to them until I purchased my 2004 4Runner in May of 2013, which I also take exclusively to Gregs. Larry is my service adviser. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. I take the 4Runner in every 15,000 miles for the scheduled maintenance plus oil changes in between and Gregs knows what items are required just as the Toyota dealer would. Gregs is a little more expensive than some other shops but cheaper than the dealer. I am happy to pay a little more for quality service.
I had one of the scariest moments of my life when a wheel flew off my Honda Civic while I was going 60 mph. It was Labor Day, so I just had my car towed to the closest Japanese auto shop, left it in the parking lot, and came back the next morning. I explained what had happened to Martin Wise and that I was trying to make it back to Portland that day. He came out and took a look, and although he said I definitely needed to replace my router, he said he thought it could probably get me to Portland. He came out with a jack to help me get my tire back on, and I was able to drive away no problem. I offered to pay at least something for his time but he refused! Very great service. Martin was awesome and even had good taste in music if I recall from our brief time together. Thanks Martin!
Dropped it of and they figured out a clamp problem, rather than do work that was unnecessary. Appreciated their honesty and ability to go beyond a computer code and just start replacing thing with the hope it would fix it. Instead they took the time to find source.
Bottomed out my 2016 Honda Civic on a road trip and needed to make some adjustments to the underside. Talked with Martin and they were able to get me in and take care of the problem before my Labor Day road trip. The quick turnaround and service was much appreciated. Highly recommend!
Friendly, helpful crew - they explained what they were doing on my car, offered options to fit my budget, quick service
I have been a long time customer, since the days they were located on Denny, and I have always received excellent service. Many times they all have gone above and beyond what I believe any other shop would do. I have to give a special shout out to Larry, hes great.
My car broke down and I had it towed to Gregs Japanese Auto on Stewart Street in Seattle 6/8/18. With a full schedule, and at 1 p.m. on a Friday afternoon, Martin was able to work me in. He ordered parts and had me on my way before 5 p.m.. They did a FANTASTIC JOB on my car, as they always do. Thats why Ive been taking my cars to Gregs for 30 years! Thank you Martin+garage team!!
Provided me with great customer service and service for my car. Stephen was good at communicating everything. I am a returning customer because my first experience the sent me elsewhere because they knew it would be cheaper. Who does that? Great place
Knowledgable, friendly staff. They work quickly and efficiently, and the longest part of my most recent service was sourcing a part (because my car isnt made anymore) for replacement.
I would like to thank Gregs Japanese Auto for getting my 15 year old Camry back into shape. I have been a little neglectful of getting regular maintenance for my older car and by the time I got it to Gregs, it wasnt running. They took the time to diagnose and then give me recommendations on how to get caught up on the missed maintenance. On top of that, something was wrong with the electrical system that was really hard to diagnose, but they took the time and found it and fixed it at no charge. Their prices were super reasonable and they have a pretty quick turn around time. They have really good customer service and a customer care program - you get this card and a percentage of the money you spend at Gregs, goes onto the card for future services and it has towing assistance. Gregs has definitely won my business and Ill be taking my car there and recommending them to everyone I know.
Ive been going to Gregs with my Toyota Highlander ever since I moved to Seattle 5 years ago. Larry is always incredibly helpful keeping up with my car maintenance. They also have a convenient shuttle service to take you to work after your drop your car off in the morning and then they will pick you up at the end of day when your car is done.
I like this place bc its near my place, their cost of labor (for oil change, appx $25) was cheapest among the 3 local spots I called, they have WiFi, and the receptionist person was nice. I like to bring my own oil/filter, but other auto shops were charging double for the same labor. They took me the same day I called and the service was pretty quick. This place is more aligned with the cost in the East Coast. There definitely seems to be a premium on all things car-related here in Seattle.
I love come to this shop, every one very friendly. Steven is honest and does very good job. I highly recommend it
I cant recommend Gregs highly enough. I had a lot of problems with my car over the past couple years, and theyve always given me fair and honest assessments. There have been several times where Ive brought my car in and walked out without being charged anything. You can tell theyre not trying to get a quick buck from you, theyre trying to create lasting relationships.
Excellent service, honest and reliable. Quick service and didnt try to sell me other unnecessary add-ons. They even loaned me a service car until mine was fixed. A+++
Wonderful experience! Excellent Customer service!I noticed one of my headlights was out as I was heading to doctors appointment to be treated for cancer. This made me more stressed as I always drive with my lights on for safety. On the way to my appointment I stopped by the Greg’s in Seattle on the off chance I could get my headlights changed. Steven Sparks the manager was fantastic! He said he could take care of it while I was at my appointment and then he arranged to have me driven and picked up from my doctors appointment! Steven made a very stressful day for me go so much better. Thank you!
I love Gregs! They are always so friendly, they even stayed open for me when I got into a car accident and had to have my car towed. They stayed open for about 20 minutes while they waited for tow truck to arrive. Then they drove me to rental car agency! Very nice!
This is my third time using Gregs Japanese Auto. They are very friendly and helpful. They have done a good job addressing my concerns, given me a good deal on the work performed. They take the time to discuss the repairs, their findings and are very helpful. I plan to return.
When I was 16 I took my first car to them for a chronic overheating and oil/coolant mixing/leaking problem. They repeatedly told me it was fine and that they couldnt find anything wrong with it. That car ultimately ended up catching on fire on 405 and was completely totaled. I now know, since owning multiple cars in the last 14 years, that the head gasket should have been replaced, among other things. Fast forward to last year when my 4runner was stolen and beat to hell. My insurance sent me to Gregs of Seattle to have it inspected. When I took it to them I had already found wood screws and sheet metal screws dumped throughout the engine compartment. There was also a TON of black smoke coming out of the exhaust and a hideous grinding every time the vehicle attempted shifting. Guess what they told me? That it was fine and that they couldnt find any problems with it. The screws were still under the hood, everywhere, and the smoke and noise happened before I crossed the intersection at Denny. Dont go to Gregs. Save yourself the headache and the lies and the bullshit and go somewhere else.
Have only visited them once so far, but they were very kind and professional, and the service they performed was affordable. Am definitely planning to go again.
I was told my car would need at least $4,000 dollars in work to pass emissions. I went to another shop and they restarted my cars computer which allowed me to pass emissions with flying colors. Another friend just paid $5000 to get a rebuilt engine put in. The engine had leaks in it and it took going to the owner of the company to have her engine fixed even though it should not have had any type of issue after paying the exuberant amount that she did.
Gregs blew my mind. I needed a 30k service on my Subaru which doesnt run cheap. The garage I used to take my (old) VW to moved locations and somehow the service there declined. I tried a garage near my work and while they were great in terms of quality and customer service for previous work, this time they quoted me $300 more than the dealer for the 30k service. I gave Gregs a call based on reviews and the base price for the service was not only reasonable, the customer service was patient and friendly - I know enough about cars but Im not a car guy and its rare to find a shop that doesnt talk down to me nor try to oversell me on services. My 30k service (including services that would only be performed if needed) came up to less than the base quote at the dealer, and I was promptly informed of all updates to my quote throughout the day. Im actually looking forward to dropping off my car for its next service - who has ever said that about a mechanic?! Give Gregs a try, you wont regret it!
The only shop that I trust. I love the honesty and as a women I never feel like I get taken advantage of at this shop. The work is always done right the first time and for that I’m thankful!
First time customer. I needed a hose replaced in my honda. My dude martin at the front desk was super cool and knowledgeable. fair pricing and honest work. He even cleaned my battery for free and helped me get my radio working free of charge. little things make a big difference I will definitely be back to gregs!
Fast and excellent service. Gregs Japanese Auto will be our new go-to shop! Highly recommend.
A great auto shop that no one can ever reach or leave from after 2pm because of traffic insanity.
Amazing service – courteous and friendly customer reps, rewards programs, and if its bolt on aftermarket parts, they can get it done!(I rarely go out of my way to give reviews, let alone give a place 5 stars)Note, when I say bolt on, I mean a complete system that does NOT require additional work like cutting, welding, etc. (retrofitting).
Great service, delivered on time and under budget.
Took the car in for a check up because it was making a strange noise. Steven was able to quickly identify the problem and let me know what needed to be fixed. They did a great job.
Gregs Japanese Auto has maintained our Acura and Honda for a number of years. The work is consistently high quality and timely. We trust them to do only what is necessary and charge a fair price. We recommend Gregs to all.
Quality customer service includes excellent education on what services are required and reasonable pricing to get the rig safely on the road. Highly recommend my Gregs Japanese Auto crew!
They did qn amazing job on our car
This shop is evidence that there is still a legit Subaru mechanic in Seattle. Start to finish, from providing courtesy rides to service records, these guys are true pros. Thank you!
Fast service, great price (half what I had been paying elsewhere), and friendly staff. Plus, they have a great referral program to bring your friends and family to Gregs, which saves you (and them) money on your next service.
I have used them for almost 20 years. Two cars, a Toyota and Mitsubishi, They were better and cheaper than the original car manufacturers service. They treat me like an old friend when I visit
Superb place for auto repairs. Excellent service, including shuttle to and from your present location. Repair estimates and actual bill are right on the nose. What is promised is what you get. Highly recommended.
