This experience was a scam and I was honestly confused when I picked the car up. For $125 my detail was extremely unacceptable. They vacuumed the car, but there was plenty of debris left including pieces of leaves in plain view when I picked it up. The side compartment of my door also clearly hadnt been touched as there was still a gum wrapper. Plenty of dirt left throughout that could have easily been wiped away, not sure why it wasnt touched at all. I reached out to the owner twice afterwards to try to reach a resolution and was ignored.

They did a decent enough job. On the surface it looks very clean. But they did not really take time with the details. There appears to be dried cleaning solution and droplets across my dash and the windows were not fully cleaned and theyre still dirt in the corners and cracks of the car on the exterior. I got a Groupon. I would have been very angry to have paid full price for what Ive gotten. I dont regret going but I will not be back.

I was referred to Dereks Auto Details by my friend who has been regular customer. Hence I had great expectations. I appreciate that the service was quick and turnaround time was fast . Had I paid $75-100 for this  service, I would probably be satisfied and felt value for my money. When I spent $200, I was expecting a better service. #6 talk about thorough interior cleaning but it wasnt what provided to me.

Worth the money! I had the number seven special done to my Toyota Tacoma and they nailed it. All the dog hair and minor blemishes on the inside were completely gone. The outside was even better given all the sap I had on the truck. Will certainly be bringing it back for next time.

Derek’s auto detail place attempted to scam me demanding extra $26 fee paid in cash on top of already fully prepaid service. Original appointment was scheduled for 1.5-2 hours and when I arrived in time they said they need at least 3. Reception person was rude, refused to introduce himself and kept demanding cash. I made sure to contact Groupon to make sure they take their listing down so that other people won’t be scammed.Stay away.

Miracle Workers!!!!!When we dropped off our 4runner it was nothing short of a nightmare. Nearly 3 years of German shepherd hair, camping, the beach and countless other dirty things, they had their work cut out for them.When we picked it up it looked brand new. They touched every inch of it and made it look great. We couldnt be happier with the price + service and highly recommend.

Have been trying for weeks to get an appointment. I’ve called, left voicemails, and emailed with zero response. I’m honestly not sure if they’re even open anymore. They are still selling groupons - which we regrettably bought - and will now need to seek a refund for. Derek’s is completely unresponsive. Looking back on recent reviews it seems that this is common for them. Seriously, are they even open?! If I drove Aurora regularly I’d check.

Good luck getting ahold of them. I purchased a Groupon for their interior and exterior detailing to prepare for a trip. I called upwards of 5 times a day, different times of the day for over a week, and emailed multiple times because they ask to set an appointment. Never got a single phone call or email back. I ended up having to push Groupon for a refund and buy my own supplies to do it myself now.

I was a little anxious after reading the mixed reviews, but this place did a great job detailing, washing, and waxing my Audi Q5. It had a lot of tree sap on it due to my neighborhood having a lot of tall pines and my having a 1 car garage. We agreed up front to a very reasonable surcharge to remove the (considerable) hardened sap. Car came back spotless - it looks like a new car. Well worth the cost.

We had our car detailed today in Shoreline. The detailing was so good, we almost didnt think it was our car. Skyler at Shoreline was the best. Well be back!!

I had a simple experience with my conventional oil change for my Honda Civic. Staff were nice, they got me in right away and it was done in less than 45mins. Very happy and hope to come back for future services.

They can be very rude and the quality is spotty. One day, the work is great. The next, they missed a million things. But the worst for me is that they NEVER answer their phones and they are RUDE in circumstances when they need to put their customer service caps on. Only polite if you dont have any problems. I think its time to stop coming here.

I was a little skeptical of Derek’s after reading the reviews but I had already purchased my Groupon. They did an excellent job cleaning my car as it has been two years since it’s been detailed, including a cross-country move. It They even took the time to check for any additional smudges in need of cleaning while I was getting my keys and gave me time and space to check for myself as well. I’ll be coming here again!

Not the cleanest in the details. Was the car washed? Yes. Was it vacuumed? Yes. I purchased on Groupon for a small RAV4 SUV. Nothing fancy. All I wanted was a detail.They missed some of the most obvious spots. Steering wheel, knobs on the radio, door scuffs, grime on the wheels. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I had to cleaned it myself. I thought these guys were good and the cost was worth it after a total of $200+ due to the additional cost to shampoo.The car is better than when I brought it in but it wasn’t cleaned to the details.

I emptied my car out before they detailed. They took my coffee and threw it onto my things. Had a nice wet bag in the back . Thanks, thenn after being hassled for having an SUV, I offered to skip my trunk n they went off so i upgraded accordingly... they preferred to charge me the extra 35 dollars.I just got it back and my dash is full of dust which i wiped down, 100 dollars plus tax, kiss my a$$. Really enjoyed no carpet or seat cleaning .Get the car toys groupon, they act like ur slave instead of theirs and charge way less

I cant say enough nice things about Dereks. They are super friendly and helpful. They got both my cars in and taken care of in the same afternoon. The person (I feel ashamed I never got his name, but he was working the last shift Tuesday January 5th, 2021) on duty even stayed a little late to help me take care of a previously undiscovered problem with a taillight. Please take your vehicles to Dereks, you wont regret it!

Got the #6 on my new-to-me 04 Forester that hadnt been touched in a few years. The interior and exterior looked great after detailing - almost like new (As new as you can get a 16 year old car). Fair pricing and great customer service, I will use these guys again!

I purchased service #6 for my car. I appreciated that they took time to get me in quickly and the turnaround was fast. The interior work and vacuuming seemed pretty thorough, but their cleaning supplies seemed to have stained my console and I found small smudges on the dashboard and internal windows. Additionally, the outside windows and exterior were not very clean and many details were missed. If I had paid $50-75, I would probably be satisfied. The fact that I paid $200 after tipping for what was ultimately an average car wash was disappointing. The man sitting at the front desk (I didn’t get his name) did come out and wipe a few things after my initial complaint which I did appreciate. I unfortunately didn’t notice the rest of the missed areas until driving and getting home. Solid customer service but a poor car wash overall.

When I picked up my car from Dereks after an interior + exterior detail, one of my front windshield washer nozzles was snapped clean off of the supply hose, so that when I tried to spray washer fluid on the windshield, it just dribbled into the engine compartment instead. It was most definitely not broken when I dropped it off.When I called back the next day, the immediate response from the manager before I had even finished my sentence was that wasnt us. They clearly have a blanket policy of refusing to accept any responsibility for damage theyve caused. So, dont take your car here, I guess is what Im saying.

They really went above and beyond to clean my car the way I wanted and even added in a little extra. I wish I took before and after photos because good lord it was filthy. They did such a thorough vacuum. I am SO happy! Everyone was very friendly and professional.

I paid for three car details. When I picked up my car the outside was dirty and the inside was poorly vacuumed. The result was worst than a $11.99 carwash. I asked to speak with the owner and was told they dont speak with customers. DO NOT go to Dereks. Expect horrible service and poor quality cleaning. The guy claiming to be their manager said that for a $125 groupon a customer should expect a light wash and vacuum. The groupon claims its a full detail with estimated value of nearly $200.00. I purchased a Groupon Voucher a few months back after reading all the amazing reviews about Dereks Auto Detail. I took my Lexus SUV in today to have it detailed so I could take pictures of it and get it ready to sell online. I drove it home and proceeded to take pictures. After the exterior pictures were taken I moved on to the interior and thats when I noticed the damage above the glove compartment. A chunk of the plastic was missing. I went for the basic wash, exterior/interior. He did an awesome job! First time I feel like I got my moneys worth. Im never going to those quick hands free carwashes again. Just make sure you have enough time to let them work and call in advance to see if they are not busy.

Bought a Groupon for mostly complete interior detailing service.Nowhere in the details does it actually say what this includes. Once I got to the shop they mentioned that their service doesnt include washing the seats or the floors, and they tried to up sell me on the service for another 70$ - I would describe this as a nowhere near complete service.

Was was sorry to see first choice auto go as i relied on them fir an honest and decent oil change, but happy that their staff is at this place. The price here was comparable. Only a few bucks more. They don’t do the card where you get a few bucks off each oil change but okay. They seemed nice enough. I plan to go back next time and hope they are as good as first choice.

I wanted to get the car thoroughly washed - instead I got a $100 car wash. Initially it sounded good - buy a $150 auto detail for only $99. I did, when I showed up they charged 3.5% credit card fees (who does that?) and then $10 so-called Groupon Tax (seriously?). Then they informed me that the wash doesnt include washing the seats. Excuse me? What kind of nonsense is that? But they had seat washing on special for only $35. So, once I added that - there I was spending the $150 the original price was. When I wanted to get the car - the guy who brought it out at 1:30pm (I dropped it off at 9am) was violently trying to rub the front dash and the back of it, next to windshield, was still full of dust.I think I took my car there 2 times yesterday - first and last!

I couldnt be happier with the detail I just got from Dereks on my Mazda hatchback. I got the Groupon price for a Mostly Complete interior and exterior detail. My car was in pretty rough shape (like, driving-two-dachshunds-to-the-dog-park-on-the-regular kind of shape.) Plenty of dog hair, dirt, grime etc. I made the appointment BEFORE seeing the negative/inconsistent reviews about this place, so I was a little concerned when it came time to drop my car off. It turns out, the place is under brand new management. I met Andy, the new manager, and he seems really keen on establishing a good reputation with consistency and attention to detail. And holy smokes, they made my little dog car look awesome! I especially appreciate the work they did on the interior console. All the grime was cleaned from every nook and cranny...so much that the radio buttons dont stick anymore! (Dont judge me!) Id definitely recommend this place, Groupon price or no. Thanks, guys!

Dereks Auto just made my car look like brand new again! And I only got the 4.5. I had lotion all over my dashboard and steering wheel and I couldnt clean it off for the life of me, I tried everything. I also had lipstick stain, and mascara stain, that I had not been able to get out either. They cleaned the spots for me with no extra charge and my dashboard looks brand new again! I dont know how they did it! They did a great job.

Called in to get basic info before making an appointment, but language barrier got in the way. And/or they were trying to blow me off. They were only able to say look at our brochure in the website, which defeats the purpose of a call.

The the outside, the carpets, and most of the dash/console looked amazing. I specifically asked that they take special care for the cup holders and center console. I was disappointed with the results there. They might have fixed it if I had asked, but I had to go so I couldnt wait around to talk to them and get a re-do.

We dealt with a new manager, Ryan, in getting our car detailed. He gave us excellent service and the car looked amazing afterward. We were preparing to sell the car, and showed it to a family the next day. They said the car looked brand new, and they ended up buying it. I really appreciate Ryan and everyone here for making my car look great!

I’ve tried to speak to two managers twice now about resolving this issue. No avail. So here’s my story as I want to do my due diligence as a consumer.Went to Derek’s to have my new car washed- my reason for going there was because my car was dirty and I didn’t want an autowash to scratch it since I just recently purchased it. I explained the situation to the man who washed my car, he got it in and 30/40 minutes later I got my car back with hologram scratches and swirls EVERYWHERE, and more prominent circular scratches all over my hood. The manager (the man who washed my car) took no accountability with what happened, told me I was wrong, told me that those must have already been there despite the fact that this is the first time my new car was washed. He did however state he could fix it if I wanted to pay a minimum of $365 (their hourly rate). I tried to reason with him, (as I understand this could easily be a “he said, she said” situation), but he then called me a liar and raised his voice like a 5-year old. It’s a bummer because I heard Derek, the owner, is pleasant to work with (a friend told me she had a good experience with him before). But Derek apparently no longer lives in state- and now there’s an ill-tempered, unprofessional yahoo working in his place.Proceed with caution, y’all.

Got the 6/5 service package from Groupon on my 10 Mazda3 and couldnt be happier. I waited around since i had the time and it took 1hr 45min. Pretty standard. Ryan was so professional and took the time to explain what they were going to do beforehand. Not to mention would give me status updates throughout the process. When i got my car back it was immaculate! The interior looked brand new. I thoroughly enjoyed my time since the employees were easy and fun to talk to. Ill definitely be back. Thank again!!

Finishing myself.... Not what I wanted to do. Paint has a new chip, dust everywhere and lots of stuff not cleaned inside. Better than when I dropped it off but not worth the $115 groupon.

Bought a groupon for mostly full interior detail and exterior wash. Car returned looking AWESOME. It’s not a fancy dealership or anything, but for the quality of service I received at 1/2 or 1/3 of the price, I was thrilled.

Great work on my car even though it was through a Groupon deal You will not find a better business for auto detailing. I was completely surprised and pleased and grateful when I saw that the attendant who worked on the body was able to remove 97% of the marks in the paint on the front passenger side bumper. Wow! I heartily recommend this business to everyone.

I ve used the 99$ Groupon (no shampooing) a couple of months back, and it was great experience, car was super clean! So I referred a friend, and it went all wrong! Cars dashboard had dirty spots, it was dusty under mats, and it wasnt worth the 99$. I can see a huge difference between the service I got and the service my friend got.

Went in for a detail and did a horrible job, left dirt in the carpet and simple rocks that should be vacuumed easily. Windows kept fogging up inside from a residue they left from the dash. Not worth the money and horrible customer service.

Very nice front desk staff, but TERRIBLE overall experience.1. My door locks failed to work after receiving their service (costing me $ hundreds to repair)2. They ripped off the gas cap holster during the cleaning - not only did they not fix it, but they didnt tell me about it when I picked up the car. I discovered it several days later when I went to fill up my car and found a piece of ripped plastic hanging from the gas tank door.3. The detailing is not really a detailing... its a cleaning. They wiped down the surfaces and appeared to do a quick vaccuuming, but there was still debris in the trunk of my car and on/around my floor mats, streaks on the windows and other little flaws that I would have expected to be addressed during a detailing. They shouldnt really be allowed to call it a detailing. (mini or otherwise)... call it what it is, a cleaning.Above all else, I emailed them to call out the issues I had with their service and they seemed more interested in debating the points than making the situation right by their customers.

Despite the fact I had to reschedule several times, everyone there was friendly and wanted to make sure that I had the services that I wanted. No high-pressure etc; just wanted me to be happy. They were slammed, which is likely why I later noticed several missed spots. Im pleased, will return & recommend.

So far so good! Took my car in there REALLY dirty and they did a great job with it. Definitely pleased and will be coming back.

*Worst ever service* I bought Groupon deal for Auto detailing at Dereks Auto Detail and Hand Wash, their service is very bad and very bad,i give 1 out of 10 to these guys, Here are details, i paid $125 for auto detailing, these guys did not do any of the promised service, when they finished their work, i checked the car, following were not done at all1) Seats and Floors Thoroughly vacuum - Not done, i can see the dust and material as is when i gave my car.2) Dust and clean all accessible hard surfaces inside - Not done, my dashboard is have the dust same as when i gave my car- cup holders were not clean, those had the same small parts when i gave my car- Mud/dust marks were not cleaned on the footrests near the 2nd row seats or 3rd seats.3)The Mini Interior Detail + Hand Wash - Not done as expected, they just did some washing, i can stil see the marks on allover of the carfor this kind of service (not doing anything) i dont have to pay $125 + tax as $12.36, all i can say they did $10 car wash only..instead of this, i should have spend $50 bucks on tools and clean it my self...

I took my car to get detailed and they fried my LCD screen by getting moisture in it. It cost 2k to fix. Dereks refused to take any responsibility when I visited their shop. In follow up communication they failed to respond. Im very disappointed not only that they caused damage to my car, but also that they pretended they didnt have any part in it. Other reviews say that they damaged their cars as well. Please dont take your car to this shop.

Do you like paying the same amount on Groupon that youd pay directly through the shop? Do you like getting your car back with broken pieces? Do you enjoy having to chase people down about fixing the broken parts, only to have no response? Well then Dereks Auto Detail is for you!Seriously, though, I got my car back with a broken knob on the dash thats going to cost $800+ to fix because it requires dissecting the speedometer display or replacing the whole thing, all because someone was too rough cleaning that area. When I brought it back to the shop the next day to show them what they broke, the guys fiddled with it and broke it further. I got an estimate from my dealership for the repair (the car is only a year old so Im having all my work done at the dealership to keep the warranty all good) and brought it to the shop. After repeated calls and emails, the owner NEVER RESPONDED. Thank goodness I have comprehensive insurance coverage so the insurance company can go after these asshats for the money and I dont have to take them to small claims court. Hopefully Dereks will pay up so I dont have to fork up the deductible (most expensive detailing EVER... UGH!).Maybe if you get lucky, youll get a decently cleaned car. Hooray! I mean, the detailing itself was fine... but not at the cost of my car being handled too roughly. Beware. Dont trust that theyll treat your car well and leave it intact. And if they break things, dont hold your breath on hearing back from them.Id love to see this place shut down forever.

NEVER GO HERE!!!!!!!! I am an avid car enthusiast and have an Auto blog. I usually do all my detailing myself and consider myself a professional in the industry but didnt feel like cleaning my wifes car and after reading the reviews on here was honestly curious how bad it could be figured I could write up the truth on them. And let me tell you what I wasnt disappointed, I got exactly what I was expecting. I played it off like I didnt know cars and they tried to manipulate me every chance they got. Ended up charging me $289 for a maybe $50 wash. I hid specific dirt marks on the car and took pictures in case anyone is interested 2 out of the 15 on the exterior were cleaned and 3 out of the 12 on the interior were cleaned. They stole $20 out from underneath the seat, my car went in with 7/8 tank of gas and left with a 1/4 tank. They put 60 miles on the car and I assume siphoned out the rest. They didnt wax or polish the car like they stated and it even smells like one of them smoked marijuana inside my car. To finish it off one of the rims was scraped against a curb and a new 3 inch scratch on the front bumper. Luckily I documented all of the prior with a video and pictures and have filed a law suit. There is not a more unprofessional company in the state of Washington. If you have any sense in you, you will avoid this disaster of a shop at all cost.

I had my car detailed here 1 1/2 weeks ago. I had a groupon that I paid $55 for and I paid another $60 to upgrade for a hot water extraction of the seats and carpet. Since then Ive been noticing spots that were never cleaned including the steering wheel and hints that the seats were never washed just wiped down. Yesterday I confirmed it! I was picking up a friends child and pulled down the armrest/ cup holder in the back seat and noticed hot chocolate stains still on it! Very disappointing. 1 star I guess for very friendly staff but what good does that do if the job sucks!

They do a great job and really reasonable prices. I always get the exterior wash and wax and the mini interior. Looks great!

I called to set up for oil change and have told if I arrive before 4:30pm I should be fine. They said they only take walk-ins for oil change, but after I arrive the resicst women told me he is doing some other stuff. This happened twice and wasted my time. First of all this is Seattle and no place for recist people, and second you should have recepect for your customers. If this shop is keep treating customers in such manner they should be shot down by the city!!!

Really great service. They squeezed me in when someone canceled. My car looks and smells great. They even got the paint off of a dent I had in the car.

They will steal your property! DO NOT USE THEM!
