Ive had to bring my VW in a few times, and these guys have always been great with her (and me). After my last car was totalled in an accident I have a lot of anxiety about my vehicles and driving, but the team here has always reassured me that theres LESS problems than I anticipated and given me a clear outline of what needs to be done and how immediate (or not) it should be dealt with. Went in for routine oil change, and the people were... Meh? Not bad but not particularly good, either. I appreciated them getting me in on short notice, hence, why they get two stars rather than one. Other than that?Again, a routine oil change turned into my car somehow needing an excess of 6k in repairs.Six Thousand. Dollars.Many of these repairs I had never heard of. Mind you, my car runs like a champ. Its not showroom material, but I have literally never had problems with it, so as Im sure some of these repairs are valid, or at the very least, reparable - I doubt the majority of them were necessary.A 2014 Toyota prius with 200k miles on it, and 6k in repairs? So I needed an oil change and suddenly now my car is totaled? Likely story. Pretty classic swindle, if you ask me. And mind numbingly exaggerated.I left feeling really bummed, insulted, and borderline offended. I never write negative reviews about anything, but I am peeved because I am now going to be forced to take my car in to my honest mechanic, just to make sure the thing isnt on the verge of exploding - which I doubt it is.Inconvenient and ridiculously obvious. If you actually cared about me as a customer youd direct me to the toyota dealership to buy a whole new car, but rather, you tried to hoax me into having you build one for me.Again, my car runs great.I just needed an oil change.

Always feels good to walk into a shop where the technicians seem happy and friendly. Service is professional and completed when they say it will be. Shop is very clean and tidy.

They were great. They called me daily to update on progress of repair, performed a free inspection of my vehicle, took pictures of problems, and gave me a print out that showed each problem, estimated cost to repair it, and how severe each issue was so I know what order to fix things. They also came in well under what the original estimate was.

The Maple Leaf community is blessed to have Chucks Auto Repair. I have been bringing my 2000 Subaru outback here since I got it (about 2.5 years). It is my first car and being a women it is always a little frightening to take your car somewhere to be serviced. When I first brought it in they did a comprehensive evaluation of the car helping me prioritize what was necessary to complete right away and what could wait. Their honesty is exceptional and they have always been efficient and quick to get it serviced and back to me. I just recently brought it in expecting to do a big piece of work however, they called to inform me that the problem hadnt gotten worse and that I would be fine to wait. I cant recommend this place enough they are fantastic!

They were about 200-300 more than DnDs on Aurora for fixing calipers, brake pads and solenoids, but those did not solve the engine trouble weve been having (obviously but they made a strong case to get those fixed also). To be fair the engine diagnosis was tricky, but we had a third shop figure it out and charge us a reasonable rate.My main issue is that they gave us a report with images that they said was of the issues with our car. Turns out, the images were not of our car, but were in fact example images from other vehicles, given to them from the diagnostic software they use. This has been confirmed by another two shops in the area and its not ok to mislead us like that. The BBB now has a report on this shop.

The staff here is fantastic. The services are always thorough and well documented with pictures and explanations. I have been going here for years and will on occasion spot check service pricing against the Kelly Blue book listed values and they have without fail been at or below the expected pricing. The office staff is always very patient to explain any questions you may have and also prompt in response if you leave a message after hours.

I took my Toyota 4runner to Chucks after trying to solve the ABS braking system issues myself. As I suspected, my vehicle needed pretty extensive repair work done ( new parts, labor etc.). Chucks had me back on the road within two days even with a packed repair schedule and was very transparent and treated me like family. I will be using Chucks for all of my vehicle needs in the future. These guys went above and beyond to get my car safe before a road trip!! They also fixed my AC and caught an issue with my suspension that I’ve been trying to figure out for a long time. They were super helpful and talked me through everything, and I’m stoked to be a new regular.

After a couple visits, its been an overall good experience. The first of our three visits featured the rep overly pushing services on my wife (which she ultimately declined). Outside of that, everything has been fairly priced and quality work.

Incredibly pleased with my experience, they are very friendly and very professional! I had a power steering leak developing and i first contacted them through an online form. They gathered more information and set up an appointment to do a thorough check/inspection. They completed all of that and had repair estimates within a couple hours of drop-off. I had them complete that work as well as some other major milestone maintenance on the car and they had it finished early, within ~3 business days of my first walk-in appointment.

Great service. They got me in within a day for a tune-up. After dropping off your car they send you an email with a list and pictures showing exactly what they are seeing and then they call you to discuss what to do next. Very friendly staff as well.

We use both locations of Chucks Auto Repair and recommend them to all of our vacation guests anytime they have concerns with their cars. Both location managers always try and prioritize these mostly out of State guests, and do their best to get them back on the road soon as possible. My husband wanted me to do a review on Chucks at Shoreline for him,but I also wanted to show some love for Maple Leaf which is where I have my Subaru serviced and repaired at by Owen and Ryan. My family loves this place, we have both of our Subarus maintained by Chucks. My husband uses the Shoreline location, and I use the Maple Leaf location since its closer to where we live. Quick & easy to get an appointment. Kind, courteous service. Gave me estimate for possible scenario, but they were able to do repair and it cost me much less! Great experience. Will definitely go back!

Very nice people. I made an appointment online very easily, and they took my car in right away at that time. They give you a very detailed print out after of what was done and needs to be done with estimates of the price. I had a coupon for an oil change and inspection and there was a courtesy cleaning done as well which was awesome. They were not pushy at all, but very upfront about what they saw needed to be done, etc. Will return in the future for sure and definitely recommend them. Also, they gave me a coupon for 10$ off the next time to say thanks.

On January I had them look at my Subaru Outback. They came up with a $2,546.50 estimate including a radiator/ transmission replace of $612.06, spark plugs replace of $399.90.I paid 39.99 for the quote and went to the Subaru dealer where I got the regular maintenance for about $1,000. There was nothing wrong with the radiator and transmission.

Very responsive over email when I asked for quotes. Dropped off early in the morning and had my service done faster than their estimated time. Owen was very informative and provided a friendly experience in the shop and on the phone. The shop itself was very clean and organized looking too.Overall, I will happily take my car back to this shop for all my additional maintenance/work.

They got me in and out. The process for making an appointment is all done online (you can call if you like). it was easy, dropped my car off the night before, it was done by 9:30 the following morning. Very easy, painless. I appreciate that they make suggestions on what to do maintenance-wise but they also said that the car is in good shape, needs nothing immediate. That is helpful.

Owen and his guys at Chucks are very sincere when they ask about how long, or what are your plans for the vehicle when its in their shop. The customer service at this auto shop is impeccable. When my car failed emissions testing, they were quick to return my calls, provide a fair quote, and schedule the diagnostic. Their inspection was incredibly thorough, and they identified some key fixes that would improve the safety of my vehicle. Nick took the time to thoroughly explain the systems implicated in the report, and answered all my (many) questions thoughtfully and courteously. He explained what systems needed immediate repair, and found fair prices for the parts. SO DISAPPOINTED IN MY SERVICE HERE. I have NEVER had an auto body shop be so disorganized and disrespectful to my time. Not only was I given an inaccurate time estimate to run simple checks on what was needing to be done with my car, but I was told to hurry back when I finally was able to reach the service provider to check the status of my car because he was closing in 1 minute, (assuming that I would be leaving it overnight when that was never discussed). This was after being put on hold twice through out the day when all i wanted to do was see how much longer it would take. Im not new to how cars run though the person helping me- who didnt even give me his name- was very condescending and unprofessional. When I finally got back to the shop 7 hours later I was rudely told my car was not worth fixing (its a 2000 civic and just reached 100k miles) so I know for a fact it has at least 5-10 more years in it. All I wanted was the suspension looked at and instead was disrespected and held hostage to their useless time. I will never come back here and beyond this bad review I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless they wanted to be taken advantage of. And lastly- I came straight from camping to get my car serviced and barely had any tile to unpack my car and as I am trying to get ready for another trip I have found more than a few items missing from my car! Imo not one to write bad reviews like this often but I have been angry for days and upon realizing items are missing I am livid. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!

I went in to have my car looked at for a terrible smell (thought to be mold from a sunroof drainage leak/blockage). I was referred to go to Chucks to get it checked out. Owen greeted me and asked to take a look at my car. He tested the drainage for leaks, and then again for any blockages. After coming to the conclusion that whatever it was that caused the blockage was no longer an issue, he gave a recommendation for how to solve the odor (they didn’t have the equipment to do it there).He gave very detailed instructions on what to tell the detailer, what kind of machines/methods to use, etc. He then asked if I wanted him to write any of it down since it was a seemingly detailed list for someone who had no idea what he was talking about! From the time I got there to time leaving, the whole process took about 10/15 mins. He was so polite, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend coming here for any repairs needed!

This is our neighborhood mechanic so I was hoping to establish a good relationship with them. However, I was extremely disappointed after they tried to update me in a new starter for my 5 yr old Toyota RAV4 with less than 30k miles. It would not start for me and I suspected it needed a new battery, but the shop insisted they needed to rebuild the starter for over 1k. It didn’t sit right with me so I brought my cat to the Toyota dealership, who promptly replaced my battery (for less than $100) and off I went with no further problems. That was 3 years ago and I have not even brought my car in for oil changes to chucks since then. I value honest and ethical business practices and feel that this was not provided at this auto shop. Wish I could support local business but not without lack of trust.

I recently used Chucks for the first time. We took our Chrysler mini-van to Chucks to diagnose and repair a couple of problems. I was very impressed how clear and specific they were about their diagnosis fee, how helpful they were in discussing the cost and implications of combined repairs, and how communicative they were throughout the process. The cost ended up being less than they had quoted initially. I felt confident in their expertise and was happy with their work.

Cleanest shop I have ever been too! I had a check engine light on it my car and took to by Chucks to get looked at. Expecting this to cost a fortune and be a huge hassle Brandon took the time to make this pain free for me. The guys in the shop seemed to be helpful as well. The owner Chris took the time to show me the broken sensor which was causing the light to come on in my car. Overall me experience at Chucks was wonderful! I wont be taking my car anywhere else from now on! Im so happy I was able to find a shop near by that has excellent customer service and great knowledge on cars. I wont be trusting my car to anyone else again! Thanks for the awesome service guys!

They dont suggest unnecessary repairs, keep on top of the required maintenance, and keep my Subaru in great working order. Chucks outshines any other auto repair Ive ever been to. The front desk is run by Brandon (I think thats his name) and he goes above and beyond. He sets the expectation and then calls periodically to give updates, no surprises. This way the mechanics can focus on the cars, instead of being pulled away all day. My car is always clean when its returned and I think the prices are reasonable. Great place, highly recommend.

I am a a manager for a large automotive chain and Chucks is the place I bring my truck for service! Their knowledge, dedication, customer involvement, and communication is so far above the competition I can’t think of another place I would trust.

The customer service was good and it was near my work. However, they told me it would cost $2,000 or more to get my car running well again. It was an older car, but when I took it to my regular mechanic he charged me $150 for new spark plugs and wires. The car ran great for the next couple of years. The cherry on top was that Chucks charged me $30 more ($185), and didnt even vacuum my car like it said on their invoice. I will never go back to this place again, even though it would be very convenient for me.

I went into Chucks after I called AAA to have routine care done on my car and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the shop was!! Brandon was my mechanic and he was super nice, friendly and the bill was extremely pleasant! (I cant say that enough!)Being a single female with some knowledge of automobiles, Brandon didnt try and sell me or fix something that WASNT wrong, like so many other mechanics have tried to do! Chucks is now my official automobile mechanic! Chucks even sends you emails when it is time for a oil change! How nice is that?!

They let you know ahead of time what might potentially need to be fixed next time you bring your car in, so you can mentally prepare for what you might need to repair ahead of time. There is never any pressure to get anything fixed and they seem to be the most honest, knowledgable mechanics that I have ever used. I have been taking our Honda to Chucks for more than two years. They are consistently less expensive than the dealership. They do good work and tell me when I need to act on a problem and when the work others suggested is not necessary. I will continue to go to them and I think youll be pleased if you do.

I will not take my car to anyone else unless Chuck suggests it. He is very reasonable and works in dependant. I have been taking my cars to him over 6 yrs and he has my recommendation. He guarantees his work and has never did my wrong. He knows what hes doing and is a hard worker

Hm.. I dont understand all the hate speak from certain reviewers. I would ASSUME you are looking for a REAL review so this is real, I have taken my 2013 Kia Rio to them twice now. The second time I LITERALLY and AUDIBLY said Wooow when I turned my key and drove off the lot.I have NEVER experienced such GOOD QUALITY work from a mechanic here in Seattle. TRUE I have only taken my car to a single other place, Chriss Auto on Aurora. THEY would not even CHECK to see if my transmission fluid was dirty, Chucks did it the first time without me even having to ask.I will ALWAYS take my car here, I have never felt safer driving my car than after I took it to them and had them fix EVERYTHING - yeah my bill was a bit high BUT they deserved it AND they give you money off for your return service/they have coupons in the mail/if you go to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change - ask for a good mechanic they LITERALLY recommend AND will give you a $20 coupon for them.Ahem *steps off soap box* bottom line - if your car is sick, take it to Chucks - you wont regret it.

I had a great experience with Chucks auto repair. They provide very reliable in terms of providing the honest estimate for my CRV in 2017 installing oxygen sensor and diagnostic in this year.

I was referred by a friend and found a great repair shop. The staff are friendly and efficient. They kept me informed on the progress of the repair and notified me when they were done. Genuinely nice guys who do good work.

Prices for this shop are a little high (wanted to charge $40 labor for a 5 minute bulb replace), but thats typical for the area. Im rating low because I think this place tried to take advantage of me. Either that or they are incompetent.I took in a older, high mileage car for an oil change. Chucks pointed out that the suspension needs work, but wanted to replace basically the whole system (really just the rubber parts and the struts/shocks need replacing). Ill do the necessary parts of the suspension somewhere else, thanks. Chucks also wanted to flush a transmission thats never been flushed (only pan-drain, people!) but couldnt diagnose the two issues that the car was having (a shudder at 15 mph and a slight flapping sound). Im taking my car to a transmission specialty shop, hoping that theyll solve my problem.They wanted to charge me $$ to diagnose which bearing needs replacing. Im not a mechanic and I already know which bearing needs to be replaced....Lastly, the Check Engine light came on 40 miles after my oil change. Maybe this is a coincidence. But it kind of smells like they botched something to my otherwise perfect (rebuilt) engine.

Everyone was very helpful and exceeded my expectations! I will recommend friends and family to Chucks! Very clean shop! They even vacuumed and washed my windows! Even though it sucks to have something go wrong with your car, I can say that I look forward to coming back!

I just got a Pontiac g6 2010 and they have been taking care of the inspections breaks my headlights for a very reasonable price !I like to check multiple times and ask a lot of questions and they have been very patient with me about it ! I came to Chucks in a bit of a crisis, needing to get my car working a bit better or get a nee one in a matter of days due to a family emergency. So not an easy project but they told me I should spend $700+ to send in and rebuild a carb that could be replaced with a superior version for less than $200 (Amazon prime!) (didnt mention that). Hmm... Ah and charged me $100 over the estimate they gave me because, you know, they forgot something. ... So $650+ for a temporary fix involving some hose clamps. Glad I ignored their advice on the carburetor. Just a friendly neighborhood mechanic for anyone with too much money driving a real expensive car with nothing wrong with it.

Owen and Brandon were able to diagnose and repair our trucks when other shops had not been able to- and to get the work done quickly and cheerfully. What a great thing to find a place like this close to home - totally recommend Chucks!

I went in for an emissions test issue, and was told my car had a cracked gasket head (probably) but they couldnt say for sure and that my car was essentially totaled, or would die very soon. I went for a second check at a different place and not only did they say my car was fine, but that Chucks had left a shop rag under my hood. 3 years later, my car is still running just fine.

They are really experts! Got my car change-oil and calibrated by them and I am amazed with the outcome. Every bucks I spent was absolutely worth it!

Every time that Ive gone, Ive been treated courteously and given straight, honest answers regarding the issues (and there were plenty) with my old car.When that car finally became unreasonable to keep dumping money into, I had decided to scrap it. At that point, it was no longer able to be driven. Once again, going above and beyond, the guys at Chucks got it back in working condition (for well under what they quoted me!) so that I could sell it to a wholesaler.I have recommended and will continue to recommend these folks to anyone I know.

I had one good experience with Chuck’s and one bad one — bad enough that I will never go back. Because of the good experience, I stupidly fell for their “summer road trip inspection special” without asking a lot of questions about what it entailed. In the event, what I learned was that it basically meant “come write us a check for $80 for doing absolutely nothing.” But, of course, there were dire warnings about “problems” that required additional work to the tune of hundreds of dollars. Specifically, they told me I needed “fluid service“ because my fluids were dirty. Which fluids? Well, amazingly, all of them. I took the car to my neighborhood mechanic who said the only fluid he’d change was the transmission because the others weren’t actually dirty enough to worry about. Hmmm.

This is a fantastic shop. Theyre good honest people who know what theyre doing, and theyre great about diagnosing issues and working with their customers to get issues resolved quickly.As a person whos worked on cars and trucks his whole life its refreshing to find a shop thats honest and up front, and doesnt try to take advantage of people who dont have a lot of knowledge. I picked them because they happen to be close to where I live, and I had a last-minute problem with our family vehicle I couldnt just drop everything to solve myself. They bailed me out in a pinch and since then theyre my go-to place for issues that I have to get fixed right away.They pay attention to their customers maintenance schedules, and make suggestions on getting things fixed and addressed before they actually become problems. As a result they can prevent costly issues from happening in the first place.

They kept my truck overnight, parked it on a public street (not on their fenced private lot), got a parking ticket and added it to my bill when I picked up my vehicle. These folks are looking for ways to squeeze money out of you...I wont return and dont recommend. Theyre the classic up sell and include unnecessary addons. Simply not trustworthy... which really let me down, I wanted to like them. Dont take the chance, theyve got an answer for everything and youre paying for the show.

I have used Maple Leaf several times over the years and overall found that they are ok at basic maintenance such as oil changes, tune ups, radiator flush, belt replacement, etc..However, I had such a bad experience with them last time that I will never go back. There was a noticeable gas smell coming from my car, so I brought it in and Maple Leafs crew replaced the gas lines. Good job, so I thought. Everything seemed fine until my wife was on the I5 and the gas lines popped off, spewing gas everywhere, leaving her stranded on the highway with gas pooling on the roadway.After we had it towed to another place, they found that Maple Leafs didnt use proper gas lines. Instead, they put flexible hoses on connected with hose clamps. Its obvious that Maple Leafs completely botched this repair. I can NEVER go back after this. Putting my wifes life in danger just to use some cheap, improper parts is pretty low in my view.

Chucks Maple Leaf Auto Repair was efficient and quick. They were flexible with a drop off time as I needed to get to work early. In addition to my oil change they did a complimentary check throughout my car and provided me a breakdown of additional work that I need to get completed. (I already knew i needed work done so it was nice to see it spelled out for me.) They also gave me a breakdown of cost if I decided to get the work done as well as the importance and priority in which I needed it done. When I got to Chucks, they immediately lifted my truck and showed me exactly what was wrong and explained how much it would cost. Always timely and nice, I like how they give you a list of things your car may need and work with you to make a critical to less critical list. I also like how they set you up with a maintenance schedule and e-mail reminders.

Just go somewhere else! Very kind customer service to try to distract you from how miserably theyre ripping you off. I had a cracked radiator, new one would be $65-$150. Had to fix something to hold it in place, one part, they tried to charge $3,300! Took it somewhere else, $400 job.
