We had Scottsdale Tree Trimmers trim a bunch of mesquite trees in our front yard and remove a huge pine tree in our backyard that was hanging over our pool. The crew was very professional and left my yard looking better than it did before they arrived. I’d like to personally thank Joe who answered all of the questions I could think of (and reassured me my pool would be kept clean during the pine removal) and Brandon who was so friendly and efficient! I’ve already referred them to my brother in law in Gilbert and can’t say enough great things about this company! Will be a repeat customer for years to come! Thanks guys!

This company keeps opening up under new names constantly. They absolutely ruined a stately old tree on my property and refused to do anything about it. Their insurance does not cover damage to the trees that they work on. The owner, Dan, didnt deny the damaging work, but decided to be Disappearing Dan. Never even returned to survey the damage. There are lots of responsive and high-quality tree companies and I would urge anyone to not use this company.

I said it once and Ill keep saying it theres a difference between a tree trimmer and an Arborist, and that difference is nuance. I was recommended to Scottsdale Tree Trimmers by a co-worker of mine and wow are they great! From my initial call to their office, I found Pat to be so friendly and such a valuable asset to this company. She was able to schedule me to meet with their estimator the very next morning and not only did he call on his way to meet with me, he also gave me ample time to ask any questions and gave me an out-the-door price with no hidden fees or upcharges. He was able to a schedule my project for the very next day (I’ve had to way WEEKS when I’ve used other companies in the past!) and to say they were great is an understatement. They showed up on time (something that is so uncommon these days) and consulted with me before any tools touched my property. The work they did was efficient and professional and I was given the courtesy to look over their work before I made payment - definitely a smaller touch that I appreciated so much because I felt like they valued my opinion and took pride in their work! My yard was left spotless! I snagged a handful of business cards from Brandon and plan to recommend them to anyone who will listen - I’m SO glad to know about Scottsdale Tree Trimmers- they’re my GO TO guys from now on!!!!

We had an enormous saguaro cactus removed, and they did a great job. They started around noon and were done around 7:20. Because of the great void left in our yard, they planted 2 arms from the original saguaro and hopefully, those will grow nicely. Dan was a great negotiator on price and the 2-man crew was courteous and informative. I would definitely recommend these guys.

I called for our friends who needed a very large healthy tree trimmed quickly. The office was very professional. When Dan came out he explained everything, As an Arborist should, he examined the health of the tree. He gave me a presentation of what would be trimmed and a written quote. The crew was professional and cleaned up as they went. I will absolutely use them and refer them again!

I just had a large Saguaro Cactus removed from my front yard... The crew from American Tree Masters did an exceptional job! The 20 ft Cactus with multiple arms was taken down in just over an hour! The guys were professional, friendly & courteous! Thanks for a job well-done!

This is the second time we’ve used this company and we were very satisfied with the job they did the first time as well as now.

Joe came for an estimate for two trees to be trimmed in our front yard. I agreed to the price and we set up an appointment for the following Monday. I asked for a crew that has been with the company for a while and was told I woukd have Brandon’s crew. I was given a window of 12-2p. I told him I had an appointment that morning from 10-11a so they couldn’t come early. He said that was not a problem. Monday comes around and I get a phone call from Brandon at 915a and they are nearby and want to come early. Way early. I tell him no and about what Joe and I talked about and tell him they can come anytime after 11a. He tells me they won’t be in the area any longer and they will have to call me later to reschedule. Against my better judgement when Brandon calls me back, I reschedule for Friday between 8-9a. I am assured I will have his crew and they will be here no later then 9a. Friday rolls around and i get a knock on the door at 9a and there is no Brandon. Instead it is someone named Levi who has only been with the company for a month. Again not what I asked for or agreed to. At this point I just need the trees done so I tell him to go ahead. I also call and ask for Joe to call me back, which he still hasn’t done. Big mistake. The trees look like someone cut them with a butter knife, with no rhyme or reason to what they cut off, and the mess they left behind was unbelievable. There were rocks in the street and on the sidewalk, branches and twigs and flowers all over the yard, etc. My husband spent over and hour out there this weekend and still hasn’t gotten everything picked up. I would definitely look elsewhere for your tree trimming needs. They don’t keep their promises, no follow through and can’t even be bothered to call me back. BEWARE.

I have used Scottsdale Tree trimmers before so consequently when I needed to have 2 huge Jacarandas removed I called them. The estimate was appropriate, the crew does a thorough, excellent work. They chip the tree and remove the stump in QuickTime! Not disappointed and gladly will use them again. I also think The arborist is helpful should problems arise with my cypress trees.

This was the first time I had used Dan and his team. I needed them to remove a very large cactus that was leaning and ready to fall. Dan did an excellent job explaining the details of the work, he was very professional and knowledgeable. His team actually showed up a little earlier than they committed, they removed the cactus being very careful not to damage my property, did the work in the time that was estimated and left the property as if noone had been there. Just an excellent job! Would strongly recommend these guys!!

Dans crew does a great job! They removed some downed tress for me. They were extremely careful not to do any additional damage to my property. I would definitely use them for tree removal again.

On May 31st, I made an appointment for their sales rep to come to my house to quote the cost for trimming 5 trees. The rep was scheduled to come Tuesday afternoon, June 4th. I spoke with him this afternoon and he confirmed that he would be at my house at 1:30 PM Five minutes prior to the agreed to arrival, he called me and stated that my house is outside of his companys service territory and he cancelled the meeting. I stayed home this afternoon to meet with him. I will never use this company as they cannot be trusted. They got one star only because this system required a star to post a review. They do not deserve any stars!

After having a tree killed years ago by going cheap, this time I looked for an expert. Dan Riggs and his staff were the ones I picked. I was not disappointed either. Dan came out when he said he would, explained what should be done and why, and his staff were there 2 days later. They were prompt, did a great job, and cleaned up afterwards. I needed work done in Deer Valley right by the I-17 and they do not work in that area. Scottsdale what part of Scottsdale. You dont travel 20 miles for a large project. Business must be good...

We had been referred to Scottsdale Tree Trimmers by our neighbor, who had been having some problems with roots breaking his patio and his wall. We were also having root problems causing damage to our backyard walls and our pool deck, so we called Scottsdale Tree Trimmers to find out how they could help us. We were pleased to meet their owner who came out to do our estimate in person, and they told us over the phone that since he was a certified arborist, he would have no problem determining which trees and which specific roots were causing the damage to our property. When he met with us, he explained the process they use to remove the roots that are causing damage, but still are able to save our trees - which we were very happy to hear. They also pruned and thinned out several of our large trees in our back and front yards and they look so much better than before. Thanks for the great work!

They will only work with large jobs. If you have one tree -- even a big one that needs a professional trimmer, they will turn you away. The woman asked me if my job was at least $350. I have no idea -- Im not a tree trimmer! If its not $350, they wont even talk to you. I actually had 2 trees to trim and a saguaro to move, but she didnt care to ask about all I needed, only if I was spending over $350. Ive used Hayward in the past & will call them again.

This review is a reflection of their customer sservice, not on actually cutting trees. When I called this morning I was met with a very rude and unpleasant greeting from Diane. When I explained what services I needed and where, I assumed that Scottsdale Tree Trimmers could possibly service my area, Fountain Hills. Instead, Diane interrupted me to tell me they only service Gilbert and hung up abruptly. This was a very rude and unpleasant introduction to this company, and the fact that they dont even service SCOTTSDALE when it is in the name of the company is misleading.
