I have been going to Rumors for about 10 years now, as does my co worker Colleen. Colleen came to work with one of the most amazing haircuts I have seen in a long time. So much so I asked her who did her hair and she told me Angelo, he’s new. I immediately booked an appt and I have to say Angelo is absolutely amazing!!! I am beyond thrilled with my hair! Today I had a fantastic experience with Vivianne. While I came in very nervous because Ive only been seeing one stylist for almost 15 years, I was put at ease by how Vivianne listened and reviewed the information I came in with about the cut and color Ive been getting for so long. The color was immediately spot on even though the products are different. It was also calming that she was easy to chat with and kept checking in with me about how I was liking the progress. This was not a short drive but worth every minute to get there and have such a wonderful result.

Brandy is the best. EXCELLENT with color, foil highlights and amazing with cuts.... She is who I was looking for for two years after I moved to AZ.So hard to find a great stylist.... And I love the online booking system for appointments. Rumors in Scottsdale.. I llove them.

I had a phenomenal experience with Becky at Rumors Salon! She not only listened to my wants and issues with my hair but enthusiastically offered expertise, insight and styling tips. I got exactly the cut I wanted and enjoyed talking with her while she worked. The front desk and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and warm and I was able to pick up some great products as well. It’s a clean, nicely lit and lovely space with plenty of room and I look forward to future services there and with Becky.

Shannon is AMAZING! I’ve been going to her for 10 years now and she never disappoints. She is a master at her craft and tells it like it is (which I love)! She knows how to make you look good and leave the salon feeling like a million bucks.

I have been using Rumors for years and have referred tons of friends! I absolutely love it. I go to Shannon (who is incredible)! They have a price structure online which is great, and sell some of my favorite brands - Unite, Oribe, Kevin Murphy and Moroccan Oil.

Brandy is AMAZING with hair! Especially curly hair. I was really nervous and she spent time listening to my concerns. She educated me on how to take care of and style my hair better than I was. This is the best my hair has felt and looked in years.

First time at the salon. I saw Jessica for a cut and blow dry. She did a great job and the price was fantastic. So many salons are overcharging. But you can still get your hair done for a reasonable price at Rumors.

I made an appointment and called in 15mins late, they said no problem. Unfortunately when I got there the stylists was waiting for me with a look.. The whole time I felt rushed or left for another client. She was juggling with another client as I was a new client I can see why, but shouldnt change judgment on new clients. Took away the vibe of doing something nice for myself. My wash/cut plus blow was 55 plus a generous tip. I will not be coming back, if I do hopefully Ill get someone more friendly or relaxed.

Tatiana was amazing. When I asked her to give me her thoughts on what looked best in me, she gave a genuine response “since this is our first time here with me I want to see how your hair feels and reacts when we are done with a color and a trim, then if you are satisfied with my work we can get creative. Refreshing! She is respectful to her assistants which is important to me. The front desk was super busy but very professional and kind. I look forward to my next visit.

I love it here! I always get my hair done with Amanda, and occasionally Molly when Amanda isn’t available with my schedule. I’ll give the most vague description of how I want my hair cut and Amanda executes it perfectly. I don’t even have to check my hair when I leave cause it’s always great when I get home. Thank you!

I got a perm done here. I was really excited had healthy hair to start. I ended up with a rather large chemical burn around my neck and on the scalp.I have patches of hair that feel like they melted or fell out. It feels like those spots were cut with an electric razor. Im really upset my hair reacted this way. I know theres always the chance for the hair to become damaged because it is chemicals but the chemical burn on my neck and head was upsetting.

Fariba listened very carefully to the type of hair cut I wanted. She asked me quite a few times while I was in her chair if she was cutting my hail the way i liked. At the end we made a few adjustments and I left very happy with her efforts. She will definitely be cutting my hair again.

Tatiana is an outstanding professional and a pleasant, personable stylist. She is helping me improve the health and style of my hair.

Talented stylists that listen to what you want then make it reality. A bit pricey but you totally get what you pay for.

Raina was amazing! She gave me the best haircut Ive had in years and even made my old washed up hair color look brand new and my 6 year old daughters stylist was patient and listened to her go on about anything and everything..Rumors is an amazing establishment and we will definitely be back to see them soon.

$52 for a scraggly men’s haircut that is not proportioned. All white staff, not one poc in sight. Janel asked me why I was dressed nice and where I was going twice which I found inappropriate and it made me uncomfortable. She asked if I usually part my hair to the left when in reality it was not parted left, I made sure to specify this because I did not want my hair to be cut in a way that would limit styling options as I am a model. I even had no product in my hair so she could do just that by evening out the lengths. I don’t recommend Janel for men’s haircuts.

Becky has done my hair twice now, once for a blow out and most recently for a cut and color. She helped me choose a style that complements my face and now, with my new style and color, I feel happy about how my hair looks. Becky is really friendly and knowledgeable and has been working here for eleven years! I would highly recommend both Becky and Rumors Salon.

Really happy to have found this salon. Ive had bad experiences with brassy blonde highlights at other Scottsdale salons, but Molly was fabulous about fixing me up! She really listened and understood immediately what I was looking for. Now I have beautiful natural blonde highlights and couldnt be happier. Highly recommended this salon if youre looking for experienced stylists who care.

I got full highlights from Krystin and I didn’t exactly know what I wanted. I know what I didn’t want and she listened carefully and then described in detail what she thought would be best. My hair turned out a couple shades lighter, with dimension, natural looking, and had a tone that complimented my skin color wonderfully. I will go back! Thank you!

I got my hair done by an assistant yesterday, Sam - she is incredible! Personable, professional, and quick. She did my cut and color and holy moly! So this salon scheduled an appointment and then called on that day me to tell me I was late, even though I confirmed the day before the correct time. After calling, and finding out that they had our appointment wrong, the manager arrogantly and rudely stated “Well everyone in the United States of America knows that there is no time change in Arizona!” Obviously we don’t. I. asked to reschedule or work with me, they became irritated and told me I would have to deal with a later appointment and another stylist, even though it was their mistake.This was so unprofessional and unhelpful. I had specifically chosen this salon because of their reputation of service and client care but it’s a lie. The manager I spoke with, Julie, speaks to people like she is above them and like they are dumb. Don’t be like her. Be nicer to your clients than her. It’s probably very easy comparably.

Absolutely love this place. Becky is amazing and knew exactly what I needed to freshen up my look. I appreciate that all the staff were wearing masks and just doing everything they could to make me feel as comfortable as possible. 🥰 Its a bit of a drive for me, but its worth it!

I researched stylists to find someone that could work with fine hair, understand what style would Be best for my face shape and profession, I found a Alfonso and was thrilled with his suggestion of new color with perfect highlights and an easy to style hair style that completely fits my lifestyle! I was tired of my dark red hair, so I decided to take it upon myself to start lighting it. I got it to a yellow/orange color which I hated and knew I needed some professional help. I already had a haircut set with another stylist but I called that morning & asked if I could see someone else who could do color & cut. They set me up with Janel & Im SOOO happy they did! She was wonderful & worked so hard on my hair. It came out better than I couldve ever imagined. Im so grateful for her for taking on this crazy scary task and making me feel beautiful again! The ladies at the front desk also were always super sweet to me whenever I called. Ill definitely be back!!

Good except for the mass requirement which makes it a miserable experience. Some salons are offering a mask-free area which you should consider.

Molly is a delightful, artistic, warm, caring stylist who specializes in blondes. Thanks to Molly, my first experience at Rumors (yesterday) was exceptional. She listened carefully and took time to explain each step needed to achieve the color and cut I hoped for. In short, Molly exceeded expectations on all fronts, which is why I’ll be back!

I showed up in Beckys chair roughly six months ago. My previous stylist over-processed my fine, thin hair. I put it in a ponytail one day and realized I had very little hair left as it had broken off. Becky suggested that we not lighten for the first couple of visits which was exactly in line with my thoughts, so she did lowlights to tone down the processed hair and blend with my natural color in the interim. My hair was finally at a point where she could introduce highlights. She has foiled my hair twice now and it looks amazing. My color grows out beautifully with no noticeable demarcation line. That is a first. She is equally as talented with cuts. My hair is still incredibly thin while the breakage is growing back in, but my haircut makes it appear thicker. I write very few reviews but felt compelled to in this case because she really is that good. Im happy I found Rumors Salon, and Becky!

I was so impressed with how clean they are keeping the salon. They are implementing the new Covid19 protocols just beautifully! I felt very safe and comfortable there!

Ive been going to this salon for the past few years. I have been seeing Tatiana since my original stylist left and she does an amazing job! My hair has a tendency to turn brassy very quickly, but she keeps it in check. She is super sweet and listens to what you want. Its a little pricey, but worth the cost for a job well done!

I’m new to the area and was looking for a salon to start going to-I did some research and Rumors Salon had great reviews so I booked my appt. Molly was so friendly, made me feel totally comfortable and I loved talking with her while she cut my hair. I will absolutely be back and definitely request Molly at any future appointments. I am visiting from Spokane, WA and was badly in need of a cut and style. My hair is fine and limp .. I was turned over to JANE...Couldnt have been happier! She took her time, worked with what I wanted and recommended several products to help give me body!! Its a nice salon with nice people.... the reason why I gave 1 star is because I didnt get what I asked for. I asked for something fairly simple came with a picture n all. Ended up looking like ramen noodle hair at the end luckily they gave me more of a shadow to help. But over all very disappointing experiences. My stylist was Molly... Good luck if u go here...

Great location, easy parking. Salon is very big with close to 20 stations, they offer hair, nail, and waxing services. Pricing is on the mid to high end range but constant with other Scottsdale salons. Ive been seeing Molly, she helped me achieve a new cut and color/highlights based on my skin tone and how I like to style it. Would definitely recommend her if you are looking to try something new.

My hair is very hard to color and tone in general and usually I have to go back for a second toner, but not this time! I was passing through the area (just before COVID-19 impacted us) and desperately needed a haircut. I asked for someone whos knowledgeable about and good with curly hair, because my curls have stumped far too many stylists in the past. TORI took the time to look at my hair and growth pattern to assess what my hair needed to look its best. She then gave me a cut that she felt should last six months (which is when Id next be in the area). Its been seven weeks so far and my hair still looks so great that my sister asked me how I was able to get a haircut during COVID-19 shutdowns! She thought it was just done!

Naomi is a master at highlighting and always does a superb job. She is meticulous at making the end result look perfect.The salon chairs at Rumors are quite comfortable and their hair washing chairs/sinks are fabulous - - no craning your back and neck into uncomfortable positions. There you sit up straight in a totally relaxing mode. The only place Ive ever seen these.

I really like Rumors. My regular stylist is on maternity leave. My new stylist did a great job the first time she cut my hair. But, the second time she was over-zealous with the trim and cut it way too short. It will grow out, and Ill return to her with a warning. Ill give her one more chance. Why is it that so many stylists just cant stop trimming, and trimming, and trimming, and trimming? Why is it that when one wants a 1/2 inch trimmed, they end up trimming way more than that. Sometimes, I just want to grab their shears and put them on the counter. Its not just Rumors stylists, but just about every salon Ive been to.

Shannon is a very talented hair colorist and stylist. She was able to match my expectations on color and highlights as well as giving me a great cut. She is meticulous in her work and color application and the results showed.Although a bit expensive I felt that the work performed and the time she took were worth it.

Paige is wonderful. We talked about what I wanted and what might look the best for me, and then she gave me a new hair style that I love! It was my first time there, and the salon staff seem very happy and really enjoying their work, which made the whole experience really enjoyable!

Nicole was amazing! She read my hair the minute I walked in and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. I have naturally dark brown hair, but highlight to be blonde. My hair easily picks up orange and ash and she did a perfect job avoiding both of those shades. She was also super fast!! The last place I was going (in LA) took 3 hours to do my hair; Nicole only took two without sacrificing cut, color or style. I highly, highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful experience getting my hair done here. The salon is large and cooled. It is clean and modern. My stylist was Taylor and she was so sweet and open to what I wanted. She ended up doing a darker glaze, invisible layers, and a trim and I absolutely love it! Ill definitely be coming back.

Krystin has been my go-to stylist since I moved to Scottsdale from Southern California! She is beyond knowledgeable of hair color and truly takes the time to understand exactly what I want done. I love being able to walk into Rumors and be taken care of with minimal waiting. The staff are always friendly and I have always gotten a great cut for a great price. This was my very time visiting the salon and if i could give it 10 stars I would. My son recommended Rumors and Im so happy I listened to him. The ladies at the front desk made it so personable and they were extremely friendly. Then I met my hairstylist Lela and she exceeded my expectations and walked out absolutely loving my hair!I will definitely going back and seeing Lela on a regular basis.

If you have curly hair, Brandy is a wizard! She always makes my curls look amazing.

I went in with a dark brown, I wanted to go light as possible. Begin the journey to platinum blonde. While I understand I may not have been able to go so light in one day. This doesn’t explain why although we spent an hour bleaching all my hair, I have orange and brown striped hair. Which I couldn’t see until I got home and put my hair up. I paid a lot of money and time to look like a tiger.

First time treating myself to a professional haircut and they exceeded my expectations! I loved my experience from the moment I walked in till even after I left when strangers complimented my hair! Love them and will continue to come back!:)

The service was good. But they have charged for my waiting time as well.I am here for keratin treatment which costs $100/hr. It took about 2 hours so it should be $200. But because they asked me to come at 2:45, they charged extra $25 for those 15 minutes though I was waiting in reception and no one spoke to me those 15 min.Just be careful with the charges. If not services are decent to good.
