Another pretty amazing facility in the Village Health Club & Spa portfolio.Extremely well-maintained & clean, excellent pool area, and an overall great atmosphere and setting. Plentiful parking available is also an added bonus. Mens locker room has every necessary amenity from a spacious whirlpool with strong jets, eucalyptus steam, sauna, and a very relaxing lounge area. Cant wait to get back up there to the DC Ranch location!

I love this place! It is the best place to work out and an amazing atmosphere! The space and feel of this location makes it easy to let go and focus on your workout, or open up and be social. They have a large selection of equipment available and the value you get here is very high. The staff is always kind and courteous. The members are great, too. Its everything Im looking for in a club.Unfortunately, due to experiences at another location I will be canceling my membership. I hope the people at this location continue to uphold the Village standards that Ive come to know and love.

I have been a Village member for 20 years some comments to share with you who are reading this.I came in this morning 6:30 am and I was surprised that the basketball courts were being refinished. Apparently this was needed hadn’t been done in 10 years I was told. There was a lot of dust in the air that contained who knows what. The noise was unacceptable. When I asked the GM to call me which he did he said nothing could be done. It was needed and the contractor would not work when Club was closed at night to the membership. They told me that they sent out e-mails regarding this work. Never got one!! He said that I must have opted out. I did not. He said he did not want to waste paper by handing out notifications at the front desk, baloney!Another issue was the app does not work properly and has not for a long long time. We are working on it he says.It seems that although the club says “Health Club” this is if no concern to this GM or his superiors do not care. They really need to up their game🎤🎤🎤

Love this club for it’s location, amenities and staff! I would ideally like to see that they recycle ♻️ at the cafe, but besides this their childcare facility is impeccable and have always enjoyed working out and having a lovely snack afterwards. They do a phenomenal job 👍

Very slow right now. Staff has masks, most exercisers do not. They opened the wet side with self regulation of less than 4 people in the stem room and jacuzzi, 3 in the sauna. I thought it was funny there were signs to tell patrons not to spray the disinfectant on their bodies, but to use it in the locker surfaces. There are cards you flip over from clean to dirty when you use the equipment and the staff cleans it quickly.

I’ve travelled the world, and this is by far the most spectacular facility I’ve ever visited... mountian views, classes taught by bachelorette prepares fitness instructors, spa, salon, gourmet food, kids gym, amazing Yoga studio with LED fiber optic ceiling..... honestly, whenever I’m having a bad day, I remember how this facility was always my sanctuary while living in Scottsdale... They exceed all levels of service and community I’ve ever found... I can’t even fathom how there could be one complaint on here... so I wanted to give a HUGE shout out to how amazing the organization is from employing youth to learn to work the front counter, to expert professional group training... Truly, this is on my top 5 businesses I’ve ever had the privilege to have access and membership to... They even take trips around the world together!! Anyway, I KNOW their business model is to exceed ALL expectations, and I assure you, ALL your needs will be met! Even if you arrive with no clothes! Lol... They have a pro shop to buy short, shirts, and shoes (this happened to me once)!! I mean - this place is just WOW!Missing DC Ranch Village - but needed to write my review!Matthew

Best health club Ive ever joined. Its actually more resort like than the typical vanilla health club. The facilities are awesome. There are over 100 classes weekly, the restaurant serves good food, the pools and surroundings ding are beautiful, the member events are fun. Plus check out the little clothing store for cute stuff at reasonable prices.

We have been members since opening 12+ years ago. If you are looking for an economical gym, go elsewhere. This is a country club experience with EVERYTHING you could imagine in one stop. The professional trainers are top notch. Spa is great. providing mountain bikes and helmets ready to use is a neat touch. day care for Kids is well run and terribly convenient. I have some quibbles but not enough to reduce the rating (should open earlier on Saturdays, inconsistent quality and variety from café but this has improved a great deal in the last year).

I was looking for health clubs around the valley to join and was given a week free pass to this club. At first I was very impressed with the facility itself, but then I met the front desk attendants Trudy and Amanda. They were extremely rude to me and talked to me as if I was a child be cause I did not have a scan card to get into the club (keep in mind I wasnt a member). I was embarrassed in front of other members. After that experience I got to talking with other employees and they really didnt have anything good to say about how the club treated their employees. One of the employees said that they has worked there for over a decade and had never gotten a raise once. All in all looks great from the outside!

I have canceled my membership after 5 years at the DC Ranch location. They do not invest in the club appropriatly. E.g., they have not replaced the carpet in the mens locker room since I started at the club and who knows how long before that it was put in new. I approached the manager about it and he says they clean it. Over time that is insufficient. In addition, something as simple as the mens shower heads all are in various forms of function. Oddly they could just replace the inexpensive fixtures and be done with the problem; water temperature to function is inconsistent. Lastly, the mens locker room is not cleaned often enough and thoroughly. If you are a business professional male dont expect many group fitness classes oriented to the typical males need most are yoga classes. As in hotel properties they take the property for granted as it ages. Seems the case here. Too bad since the property has a beautiful location.By the way after 5 years of membership I left on good terms though I found it odd I did not even get a thank you for my 5 years of membership when canceling. Unfortunate.

My friend and I attempted to this gym with her family who are all members. And one of the requirements to come in as a guest is to be 18 so my friends mom said to tell them i was 18, which was not that far off because I was turning 18 in less than a month. So when the man asked my age a said I was 18. Then after he saw that I wasn’t 18 for another few weeks he began yelling saying “you lied, you cannot be here, get out right now” and more phrases filled with what stemmed to be anger. After this I kindly left while my friend and I were in tears. I understand that I should not have lied but I was disgusted to see the employees utter lack of character. For a gym that is so expensive I would never want to pay to be harassed.

Wow I was reading others bad reviews on here and just got the same crappy treatment from front desk. This gym membership is very costly with rude workers. I use to be here which place was great then went to Cross town one now back here to new people here. The environment is gone so down hill very very rude front desk lady. I’m canceling my long time membership here this might be now the worst gym I’ve ever stepped foot in

We have been members at Gainey, Camelback and DC Ranch for several years. We have not experienced any issues with Gainey or Camelback; we are cancelling our family membership due to extremely poor member service at DC Ranch. In the span of approximately 8 months, we have had unauthorized charges on our account, rude/inaccurate comments placed on our account and accusatory calls from the child care area, and more. When we inquired about the unauthorized charges on the account, it was fixed within a few weeks, but without any acknowledgement, no apology, nothing. Same thing with the issues from the Child Care area. No acknowledgement, no apology, nothing. When we shared our frustration, again, there was no apology, no acknowledgement. At that point, we decided to cancel our membership. We did so on August 17 and have yet to receive any acknowledgement of our cancellation. Extremely unprofessional. If you are looking to pay hundreds of dollars a month to be treated like just a number, this is the place!

I was a member of the Village for about two years. The gym is nice but they do not cater to a professional working person at all. The latest evening class is 6 pm which unless you have job where you get off at exactly 5 pm it makes it really hard to get to any group exerciese class. Then you find a class that you like and make an effort to get there at 6 pm only to find out that half the time it is a substitute instructor and the class is nothing like the format with the regular instructor --- Ballet Barre taught by someone with no experience so you do basic PE gym exercises for an hour! The primary reason we joined was for the tennis. I played at Camelback for a while but the leagues are riduculous. Half the time your opponent never shows up and then the rating levels are non-exisistent. What would be a 2.5 in other cities is a 4.0. The tournaments were good for a while but then participation really dropped. Probably due to the poor planning -- mulitiple revisions to the draw, etc.The tennis center at DC Ranch is a joke --- no players, well at least not in the evening, once again the lack of attention to working professionals. The tennis pros are not friendly and do not engage with the tennis players. Also the clinics are twice the price of those at the Camelback Club. When this is pointed out the response is that they are competitive and not too expensive. I dont know any one that wants to pay $30 for a drop-in clinic. If people actually went the tennis pro would be making a killing, I guess they are just greedy. I also went to one clinic and saw a couple, definitely not worth what they are charging but maybe my expectations are just high having been to several of the top tennis camps and resorts in the US and receive better instruction for a lower hourly rate! The cafe at DC Ranch has also gone way downhill. They had a really good chef who left and since the food is really meh and adding on top is the bad service of the counterhelp. If you dont work, this may be a good club for you but if you work a normal professional job (8 to 5) not a good club at all.
