Janet is a life saver. I have scoliosis so I needed my dress to be able to hold its shape to hide where my ribs protrude in front and back. I asked a few seamstresses for quotes and others were not willing to modify the dress they way I expected I would need (adding boning, taking the straps off the bodice). Janet was and did an amazing job. She was patient and creative with figuring out ideas to make the dress work for me. Her modifications turned out perfectly- see below for before and after photos. She added a chiffon tie in the back to hide where my ribs stick out on one side and it worked perfectly! Otherwise I was going to have to wear a shawl or cover up, which would have been a shame with this amazing dress. She was wonderful to work with and I am forever grateful to her for taking a chance and making my dress look great on me. Thank you Janet!

Janet was an absolute pleasure to work with. I found her through a simple google search and I am so happy and grateful that I did. Janet was kind and professional through out the entire process. She alerted my grandmother’s dress, my sister’s dress and of course wedding dress. In replacement of a veil I showed her a caplet that I wanted. I ordered the fabric and she made a beautiful caplet for me. Unfortunately, there was a slight sizing issue (my fault) the week of the wedding but Janet saved the day with our skipping a beat. She was so gracious about the whole incident. In the end my dress fit me like a glove and I received so many compliments on how perfect it was. My favorite was of course my caplet. My dress was so beautiful that Kleinfeld bridal, where I bought my dress, reached out to us and featured the dress and my caplet on their social media. I would recommend Janet to anyone looking for perfect alterations. Also, she has a wonderful selection of lingerie in her shop, all so tasteful and beautiful.

She was extremely nice/professional and I asked her to correct items on my wedding dress from a prior seamstress. She was working on a short notice and given two weeks until my wedding. She knocked it out of the park and I could not be happier. I will definitely be recommending her to other brides.

Janet is amazing! I was super nervous to get my dress altered - trusting something with such an important thing is hard but Janet definitely knows what she’s doing! There was a weird wrinkle happening in my dress from how it was made and she worked and worked to get it out! She also made a custom blusher piece for me that turned out amazing! My dress was perfect the day of and I was comfortable all night long. You can definitely trust her professional advice and her pricing is very reasonable as well.

Excellent, quick craftsmanship! Janet was patient with the many alterations that I wanted and had a variety of solutions for the changes I hoped to make. She was able to take lace from my mother’s wedding dress and lay it over the belt line of my gown. She also created the veil from my mom’s dress. So glad that Luv Bridal recommended her to me!

Adorable boutique with lingerie and fun bridal gifts that look like good quality. The lady working there largely is by appointment only and isnt able to pick up any quick rush jobs but she was really friendly!

Janet is absolutely amazing. I bought my wedding dress from Davids Bridal and wanted to add lace sleeves to it. Davids Bridal refused to alter the sleeves to be fitted around my arms. They said they wouldnt and they would have to be left lose. My mom bought a dress from a boutique called Maries and they referred us to Janet. Best thing that ever happened. Janet altered my dress the way I wanted it. She was so patient with me in each alteration meeting. My wedding dress was perfect. I also took my bridesmaids dress to her to be altered when my sister got married and it was perfect too! Shes does superb work and is reasonably priced. I will continue to use her for all my dress alterations.

Janet did alterations on my wedding gown. She did such an amazing job at a fair price! She was very patient with me and was able to take my very common gown and make it an individual piece! I love my dress!! I also sent some of my bridal party there for alterations as well and she was able to help them with the same great level of service! I definitely recommend seeing Janet if you have a simple hem or if you are looking to redesign your entire dress to fit you! She also sells accessories like jewelry, veils etc.

I wish I didn’t have to write this review, and that my experience working with Janet had been wonderful, but that was not the case at all. With all her 5 star reviews, I know I need to share this to save brides who might otherwise choose her and expect an awesome experience and outcome, only to be stressed out and disappointed like I was. This *could* be your experience...The fitting and altering process with Janet was so stressful and negative, and she *almost* ruined my wedding dress completely (especially the hemline). I had 3 fittings with her, and each time I came back there was something that I either didn’t ask for or something that was uneven on an alteration she had done. She did a kick at the knee when I had asked for it to be a smooth curve down my hip/thigh. Appearently, that translated to a kick at the knee for her? She blamed me and claimed that that’s what I had asked for...I hate that look on me, so no way I asked for that. With uneven areas (cause I get that I’m not wearing the gown while she works on it) I would just try to politely point out the parts that weren’t quite right, and she immediately got defensive and standoffish. She said that she didn’t see anything wrong when I showed her that one side of the zipper was noticeably higher than the other side, and how the hem length was now shorter in the back than in the front (I did not have a train). I had to press back because well, you know, it’s my wedding dress and I want it to look as flawless as possible, and instead of saying, “no problem, I’ll fix that” she literally said, “I am a human being and that’s just human error. I don’t aim for perfection.” I was totally dumbfounded...There I was thinking that her job as a seamstress was to, quite literally, aim for perfection. Maybe she should advertise that, or at least disclose it at the beginning?The 3rd and last visit was so horrible and stressful that I was holding back tears as I changed and got out of her studio as quickly as possible. The worst part was how she blamed everything (her errors included, I guess?) on my sister (MoH) and I being too picky. She was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. My Mom was there too, and stayed behind to settle the bill with Janet, because there were some alterations that came out right. But I so regret not staying in there to negotiate because my Mom is too generous and paid Janet $700 of the $800 orinagal estimate. Makes me sick that she still made that much off of us, when I had to take it to a new seamstress to be salavaged...which thankfully it was with some legit magic I think. (I would love to give her name, but I worry this review would not be taken seriously with a plug in it...so please don’t take this as a plug, just one bride trying to help another bride out: Sadie Mardiha)I just want to note that if Janet is able to respond to this review, like I have seen her do on other sites, she will turn the blame on me and try to discredit me (which felt like her in-person MO too). Please don’t buy it...not for my sake, but for your own.
