I cant even begin to describe how fantastic it was working with Helena. That woman KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING! I came to her to alter my wedding dress- and with only one month to do it. Not only did she hem the dress perfectly, Alter the straps to not fall off, and add a bustle...but she completely redesigned the back of the dress to make it even more beautiful (AND COMFORTABLE!). From the moment my daughter and I walked through the door, we were not only greeted with a smile, but we were treated with absolute kindness, respect, and it truly felt as if we were spending time visiting with a relative. And by the time we were finished with trying on our gowns, getting pinned and quoted, we truly felt like part of the family. Helena’s prices are fair and it is clear that every client, who entered while we there, felt the same! My boyfriend and I searched and searched many places to give us measurements for his suits and we were surprised to find out that those services were almost impossible to find. We called Helena and thankfully she was able to help us on short notice and gave us measurements quickly and professionally. The environment was great and Helena herself was very friendly and kind. We definitely want to go back to her for alterations in the future - it was a joy meeting her and having her help!

Helena impresses me time and time again. I took in my maid of honor dress, which has a full lace bodice and needed to be taken in around the mid section. Helena is so detailed and went as far as opening up the outer lace part and taking in the underside so that the lace would not have a different pattern. Helena is truly the best in all of Arizona and will NOT disappoint you!!

I flew in from Denver to see Helena because I took my wedding dress to a seamstress who told me I couldn’t have it altered the way I was requesting- she was going to make me walk down the aisle with my chest hanging out saying it was the only way. Luckily I brought it to Helena who was able to alter it just the way I wanted and now I feel comfortable walking down the aisle! Helena was able to make the bust more to my liking and cover me in all the right places and undid all the mistakes the other lady started. It was definitely more work but Helena pulled it off and saved the day!!!

Not enough good things can be said about Helena and her business. She prides herself on only putting her best efforts into her work, and you can tell from every piece of clothing she touches. I came to Helena after almost giving up my search to alter my wedding dress. She squeezed me in to meet and look at my dress immediately. She said Nothing is impossible, I can do this for you dont worry about a thing. I had a little over a month until my wedding, and she completed it with time to spare. It fit amazing, and you would never believe seamless details she put into it.

Just had my first experience with Helena and its safe to say that was the most pleasant tailoring experience Ive ever had. She is the best at what she does and so welcoming. She had me feeling like family and never doubting her skills. Shes located in Scottsdale but if youre somewhere else, shes definitely worth the drive!

Helena has a large area in her home dedicated to her business. Her work space is immaculate and extremely well equipped and organized. I met her this morning for the first time, after reading the stellar reviews here,. Helena greeted me at the door with a smile, introducing herself. My job was a small one (re-hemming a favorite pair of shorts where the stitching had come out). Rather than have me just drop the shorts off, she asked me to wait while she hemmed them up so I didnt have to come back. Helena was a pleasure to talk with and such a positive and interesting person. She did expert work, and in the end didnt even charge me. Who does that these days? Helena will be my go to seamstress for any future needs. Thank you Helena!

Ive been to see Helena twice now and after the first time, I knew I had found my forever seamstress/tailor. She is so friendly and caring -- insisting I call her Mama Helena :) -- but also so upfront with the work she will be doing and how much itll cost, I know that I can trust her. I was blown away by how efficient she is too! No matter what she had to adjust or how many articles of clothing I gave her, she said it would be ready in a week. This was super important for me b/c one of my items was a bridesmaids dress for a wedding right around the corner.I also noticed she had so many wedding dresses and other bridesmaids dresses that she was working on so you can immediately tell that she is trusted by everyone. She has pictures on her walls of all the pageant girls and professional athletes shes helped out over the years. She works out of her house, but its not any normal room, shes completely renovated the front rooms with its own entrance and so many machines and organized rolls of threads.Ill definitely be going back to Mama Helena again, she is the best!

This woman will do everything she can to help you. She is 100% customer service oriented. Called Helena the day before a destination wedding I am in as a bridesmaid for some last minute alterations and she moved her schedule around to accomodate me. During the fitting she made suggestions for adjustments I didnt catch with my own eyes. No short cuts, even in the last minute time crunch. She also solved my pick up worries by offering to bring the dress to my hotel when she was finished. VIP service!!! I am so lucky I found her to help me!
