Joey did an awesome job. I usually hate barber shop chat, but he was cool to talk to, and even recommend a pretty cool Netflix series I’ve been burning through. He did an amazing job fixing some butchered haircut I got and gave me some great hair pointers. Definitely plan on going back next time I’m in Scottsdale.

This is the only place my husband gets his hair done. Period. Between here and San Francisco only. He has a main man here that he will wait for his schedule to be free. Best work in the state as far as I am considered. Yes they might give you a can of alcohol but you come for the styling.

First time coming into this shop, was greeted right when I walked in. I’ve been to a lot of barbershops that are super pretentious when you walk in, almost like you’re a burden by being there. This was not that type of place. Taylor was awesome and gave me a great cut—will definitely be going back to him moving forward. The owner was super friendly and has definitely built an awesome environment while also hiring amazing staff. Highly recommend!

Came in from out of town and was able to snag an appointment with Taylor. He gave me some ideas for products to help with hair/scalp dryness that worked better than anything Dermatologists had tried. Can’t thank you enough!

Well, simply put, these guys are like family to me. Pretty surprised out of the 4+ years Ive been going to Dapper Devil, I havent written a review...They do an incredible job with their cuts, and have always been available when needed. This will be my barber shop for life no matter where I end up. Do yourself a favor and go get a cut, you wont find better service elsewhere.

I brought my 9 year old twin boys here and they had an amazing experience. My boys said James is caring, nice, funny and entertaining. He was explaining all his barber tools, how he learned his craft, Not to mention everything in his studio room has a great story. Truly exceptional. Great vibe. We will be back🤗

I cannot explain how much I love this Barber shop. My friend owns a barber that Ive been going to for years. But now that I work all the way out in Scottsdale I was forced to find another barber. The first time I came in I was welcomed graciously. Set my appointment up with Max he helped me get my hair on point hes young but dont put it past him he knows his stuff. Very picky with my hair Ive been to many barber shops in Arizona and more than a few mess my hair up. Hence the reason why I stuck with my friends barber shop for the longest because they know what theyre doing there. Max hook me up with the bomb haircut and I actually learned something about my hair he taught me how to apply my Pomade correctly and how and why to comb it a certain way. Gave me a hair plan and started cutting my hair away to where it would lay correctly. I actually felt good after leaving that dont happen much at new barber shops that I try out. Dapper devil is where its at highly recommended best spot I found in Scottsdale. Good conversation really cool barbers and quality haircuts.

I was in the neighborhood so I Googled barber shops. This is the third one I went to and the best one out of all of them. Just trying to get a haircut without a reservation. They held off running an errand to fit me in. was definitely worth it stylist did a great job and layering my tricky hair. Was very helpful and informative, Definitely recommend.

Awesome old school style barber shop in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale...vintage chairs and bar which add flair and history to this shop. James definitely knows his stuff when it comes to giving a haircut and makes sure you leave looking dapper. Great price on cuts and products too. James is a master barber - passionate, extremely knowledgeable, funny, and kind-hearted. His shop is a very cool and comfortable environment - you can feel the welcoming pride of ownership. He takes the time and care with each individual in his chair, providing a custom tailored haircut that he remembers when you come back. Easily a $50 haircut offered for $25. Im not the easiest haircut in the world and I usually throw most barbers for a loop. James handles everything like a pro. This is THE barber in Phoenix to go to.

Don’t let the pretentious area code fool you, this barber shop is solid with real, down to earth barbers. Max cut what’s left of this balding head like a pro. Even after meeting Joe months ago and at a different shop, he was able to remember this ugly mug! I’m told that they even offer beard trims to the sissy boys that can’t do it themselves! I came in for the first time and needed a light haircut. Dusty greeted me nicely and invited me in. He said I would look good with a fade. So on the sides, he gave me a 2 which faded into a 3 towards the top. As he was cutting it, I was getting nervous. Didnt think it looked good. In the end, it turned out great. Dusty is a knowledgeable barber that knows what hes doing and is confident in his approach. Costed $25. I recommend coming here. Thank you Dusty!

James not only does a perfect haircut, but is very knowledgable about his craft. Every time I am in there- not only do I leave with a haircut that fits me perfectly, I also learn something new about my hair, barber history, different hair care methods, and other stuff that otherwise wouldnt have known if I went to the average Joe Schmos barber shop. This guy knows his stuff and executes his craft with precision and attention to detail. Plus just hanging out at the shop is great. Its a mans sanctuary where you can go get away from the stress of the daily work grind... and just unwind. Either get your cut here, or dont; and settle for mediocrity... your choice.

Pros: Best haircut Ive ever had. I came into James as a chav and left a gentleman. What James does for his clients is far above anything Ive ever experienced from any other service provider, not just other barbers.The cuts are top-notch and the atmosphere is something else. Every time I go in, these fellas take excellent care of everyone who sits in the chair, while patrons chat and have a good time. The cut was fine, but the scheduling and timeliness is atrocious. Booked twice, and the first time the cut was 20-30 minutes late. The place wasnt even open when I arrived around 3pm. The second time, I had booked with the owner, but it turns out it was his day off and again, it was 45 minutes late relative to the time I booked?!

Been going here for a while. James and Dusty are both awesome. Killer fade, great shave, and drinks while you wait. What more could you ask for?

Get your ears lowered by a professional Barber. I have never felt so at ease to have someone cut my hair. He knows what hes doing and knows how to communicate it to people like me. I never know how to talk to one of those great clips types who just uses half-assed techniques to get me in and out. They just ask for a number length and square or round in back. Not my guy, he knows how to read my impossible hair, take his time, and make it look good.

The best Baber shop Ive ever been too! Electric haven was my Baber shop before, the guys there were great but I wasnt getting the traditional pompadour haircut in till I met James at The Daper Devil.
