I see Amanda at Coles Salon. I am never disappointed. She is the best person (in Prior Lake, and maybe the world, LOL) to do your color. I have lived here for a long time and I have been going to Amanda for years now. Unfortunately for her, I change my hair color about every 5 or 6 months. She is patient and always helps me work through my ideas and turns my hair into a thing of beauty. Amanda is my Hair Sherpa, walking along guiding me so that I do the right thing. Yes. Hair Sherpa. Thats a thing!

I can only write one review, otherwise I would have a 1 star and a 4 star.Hair colors are great and are clearly the specialty. For the most part, my colors here have been great!Hair cuts I’ve never had good luck. Almost if not every time I get my hair cut here, I either have to fix some areas myself at home, or come back in and get it fixed. Hair cuts are not the reason to go to Cole’s.Additionally, it’s unfortunate that when something needs to be fixed it’s not prioritized. Instead, it takes days to get back in to get a haircut fixed. I know other salons who bump people to the top of the list if something needs to be fixed, which is much better customer service. There are also no refunds given - simply just a “complimentary fix” which should be obvious and really isn’t anything special. (For those wondering why not just raise concerns while I’m there, because the way I style my hair is not always how the salon styles it, and it might not be until the next day that I notice something wrong.)

I Love my Coles time! My Stylist Amy Jones is the Best!! She knows when its time for a change in color or cut and does not ever disappoint she is spot on! Love her, Love the experience been coming almost 20 years! Thanks!

Kacie (stylist) was fabulous! Knowledgeable, listens well, and is a total pro in demeanor and actions yet also warm and friendly. The folks at the desk were also great--bright, happy people! I regularly buy product from Coles in Savage but had not worked with a stylist since 2016. I had to find a stylist closer to home, and Im so glad I found Kacie. If you are a curly girl, Kacie is your stylist.

I planned to cut my hair from tailbone length to just below my shoulders length and decided to donate it. Veronica cut my hair and it turned out lovely! She made great conversation and made sure every step of the process was going well. It was overall a great experience!

Alex was fantastic! The haircut was better than I expected and she suggested other services based on my hairs needs without making me feel like I was just being up-sold. I recently moved to the area and had a mix up with a different salon so I booked an appointment here. Tatum was amazing and fixed my hair exactly like how I wanted it done! She was easy to talk with and gentle with my hair. Ill definitely have her be my go to stylist! I also got my brows done by Izzy and shes the best Ive been to! I didnt even realize she had pulled the first strip until she was placing the second.

Ive usually had great experiences here and have been going here for years. However, today was rushed, and overpriced. A simple haircut for me and my 4 year old was outrageously expensive $130+ and my hair wasnt even cut how I like it, she used thinning shears and I told her I dont like those on my fine hair, I wont name names...but I am searching for somewhere else to go....

Not only was I able to make an appointment that suited my schedule, but Jamie did a great job on my hair. I have red and blond put in my hair, and many people have screwed it up before and let the colors bleed together, but she did great. She was fast too. At other places, its taken them 2-2.5 hours to do my hair, but it only took her an hour. All of the staff I met were very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. Great service.

My mom and aunt went in today and let each of their stylist know exactly what they wanted. My mom has balayage already that has grown out so she needed it touched up. Because of Covid the stylist could not blow dry her hair. Once it was dry there was absolutely no difference in the color of her hair! Not sure what was done but she is not happy with the results. My aunt went in and showed the stylist some pictures for reference and the stylist kept saying her hair was too long to get it done?? She’s getting a cut how can it not be cut into a shorter length to get the desired look... My mom has gone here before and loved the results but this time around it was very different.

Simply a place you can trust to do the work carefully and correctly. A bit expensive, but I always get a better style cut than the other local places Ive been.Note that they have very good advanced stylists if your looking for something very specific with your hair if you are a highly discerning customer.

Hannah is an amazing hairstylist! She is very personable and doesn’t pressure you into doing something you don’t want to do with your hair. She is very honest and she does an amazing job with hair! I got my hair colored by her and I love it! 💞 I will definitely keep getting my hair done with Hannah!

This was my second visit to the salon, after a not so great experience the first time. Today I saw Maria, and she did an absolutely fantastic job with my hair. I love my cut and color. She was super personable too, and fun to talk to while she was doing my hair. I will definitely be back.

First off I want to say Mandy does an amazing facial and eyebrows and I adore her work. Now to the 3 stars. I booked an appointment on line for my daughter who is in law school and very stressed to have a facial with Mandy. I got a confirmation and everything when she arrived at her appointment they said she didnt have an appointment and pretty much made her feel bad, . Online booking is HORRIBLE!!

Coles Salon in Savage is great. Ive worked with a few different stylists here, but MaryClaire is my favorite. She listens to what I want to achieve, and nails the look every time. Ive also been to other Coles locations, but the one in Savage is very welcoming and I dont feel judged when I enter or leave. Great service and great results.

I went in over the weekend to get some color done for the first time, and honestly didnt know a whole lot about what I wanted. Afterwards I wasnt really happy with how it looked I wanted more color and my designer Isabelle truly made it a great experience. She didnt make me feel bad about not being happy with it and offered to fix it and kept a smile on her face the entire time. She truly made it a great first experience at this salon.

Overall the salon is great - Stylists seem skilled, everything is clean, layout is nice, and all staff are very friendly... but beware - not all stylists are created equal! Long story short: Do not go to a stylist unless someone you know has recommended them!I was recently at Coles for the first time to get my hair done for a friends wedding. The stylist I was assigned to was very young but I hoped she knew what she was doing... but I was very disappointed. The hairstyle I wanted was simple enough that it could have been done by one of my friends but since we already had appointments booked I figured I would just go with it. As the girl was doing my hair I realized it wasnt going to be good right away. I kept trying to point out things I didnt like without flat out saying, that is hideous. When she finished I did not like it and even tried to have her fix it before the wedding party left but it didnt help. Bobby pins were falling out all over, the braid wasnt even noticeable, and there were bumps of hair all over - AND I was still charged $60. I was so unhappy with it that my friend actually undid the entire thing and redid it. She has zero training and she was able to do exactly what I wanted and I would have felt much better giving her the $60.

Never had a bad experience here. Get in with Amanda if you can, she is awesome! A bit pricier than other places, but for the quality of the cut and service it makes sense. Be sure to leave a tip!

Ive had a great experience every single time Ive been at Coles. I started going while I was in High School and saw Heather D who is amazing. Now, with 2 kids and a busy life I just havent had the ability to plan out when I can come in to get a haircut so Ive had to call on short notice and she hasnt been available. Ive seen Heidi a few times who is also amazing and just recently saw Melanie who did a fabulous job also! I cant say enough good things about the stylists at Coles.

Everyone here seems to know how to cut my hair so that it holds a flattering shape. Ive seen a few different hair stylists here and they all have been great. Cuts arent super expensive either.

Kacie was amazing to work with. Her customer services skills are outstanding, she listened to my concerns as I had to have my hair fixed and walked me through everything she was doing and why. She always had a smile while she worked and you can tell she enjoys her profession. Without doubt, she knows what shes doing and takes the time to focus on her customers requests and concerns.

I have only been to this salon for my wedding party. Scheduling was easy, however appointments were missed and took longer than expected. I set a firm time limit and requested to come early, was assured we would be done on time, and we were not. Front desk staff did nothing to help figure out their scheduling error. Wouldnt go back as regular customer.

The beautician suggested it would be better for her to cut my hair if she did not wash my hair. I said OK, no problem with the thought she would at wet it down but she didnt. I thought she would straighten my hair and then cut it, but she didnt. I as concerned about that because my ponytail leaves deep marks. She finished very quickly, less than ten minutes. When I arrived home, I washed my hair and noticed it wasn’t even cut evenly in the back so I asked my husband to help trim it straight. Very disappointed. Won’t go back.

My first visit was phenomenal. My second visit left a lot to be desired. I was clearly wasnt being listened to because I was asked the same small talk questions over and over. I went in for a trim and ended up with a new style. When I had mentioned that my bangs had been messed up, my stylist let me sit there and try to figure out how to fix it myself. I kept saying somethings not right; when she went to fix my bangs, I heard her say over the blow dryer somethings not right in a mocking way. I had the same stylist both times.Edit: the manager called me and we had a discussion about my situation. She was kind and courteous and respectful. She definitely made me feel more comfortable to come back, and I would give this place another shot had I not moved.

I have gone to this salon for nearly 10 years and their service is fantastic. The stylists listen and transform their clients. At my last visit, Allie helped me first with a major haircut (from waist-length to shoulder-length hair); then with balayage color. I showed her my ideas and told her to ultimately do what she thought would turn out best. I absolutely love my new look and am so grateful for the good experience I have always had at Coles.

I particularly like their spa and go to an extremely lovely woman named Amber. She is so kind and does the best facial ever. I cant say enough good things!! Ask for Amber, you will not be disappointed ladies!!

Love Coles have been going to them since I was a little girl. I have had various hair stylist, nail technicians, massage therapists everyone is always so friendly and professional! If they make a mistake or do something that doesnt make me happy they fix it 100% Highly recommend any one of the locations. If you want a good nail tech, go see Katie Kreuser at Savage.

Usually pretty good with an appointment, prices can range radically from stylist to stylist and ya get what ya pay for as a general rule. Weekends are pretty crazy, you are better off trying to get in on the weekend

HORRIBLE! I had a stylist named Courtney (I dont know last name) but she had long brown hair. She seemed distracted, and kept talking and joking with other stylists. I went in for a trim.. maybe an inch or two off. my hair was about to my chest, and she cut it above my shoulders. The salon was very nice, the waiting area was nice. But I do NOT recommend Courtney as a stylist. Absolutely horrible.

I use to come here for my mani/pedi and loved it, sadly my nail tech moved on. Went to see a different nail tech named Brittney, you’d think after she’s been there so long she would have some customer service. From the beginning of my service till the end it was awful. She asked if I wanted anything I said yes would love a water, left me sitting for 20+ mins no water. Finally comes to start the service and thankfully has my water, starts out awkward doesn’t even try to say hi. The service begins and you would think for a $150 mani/pedi I would maybe get a little rub...? Nope! She slaps all the products on, barely rubs it in. Definitely do not recommend, spend your money else where. Not relaxing at all, no spa music, no stimulation, and bad customer service.

I am very particular with my hair (to say the least), and every visit Kelly listens and respects what I want. Not only is she able to do what I want, but she does it in a way that is best for my face shape and hair type/texture! She is very knowledgable and skillful!

Dont know why I pay $100 for services and then go home fix all the little things they say they dont do!!Ive been going here for 15 years, had some good experiences, mostly just went here out of convenience to not find a new salon, but this last time was the last straw. First, I made an appt on Tuesday, got the confirmation text, drove down and was told my appointment was next week. Why did the text confirm for this week? When I rescheduled, because I needed my hair cut before graduation, the girl asked if she should write it down for me this time... No, I want you to confirm you have the right time!The woman I had completely messed up my bangs - the day of graduation - and couldnt fix them and then curled my hair in a super unnatural way! Im writing this after lunch and half my head has already uncurled????? The girl who did my eyebrows didnt even notice they were different lengths! When I asked her to fix that she said they dont normally change the length... Why would I go to you to do my brows if youre not going to change them.Dont know why I pay $100 for services when I go home and change everything they did! Waste of time and money!!!

I’ve gotten my hair done by a few of the designers now and I am always OBSESSED with my hair! Alyse has done my hair twice now and I am always so so amazed and love my hair!!
